We stopped in and ordered two drinks -- a beer and an espresso martini -- and shared the ahi tuna quinoa bowl. First off, the food itself was excellent. The tuna was fresh, flavorful, and overall the dish tasted great. My only critique is that there was hardly any quinoa. When I hear "quinoa bowl," I picture something more like a rice bowl where quinoa is the main base -- but this felt more like a salad with a small scoop of quinoa. Still good, just a little misleading name-wise. Drinks were solid, staff was nice and friendly, and service was smooth. Total came to $57.94, which felt a little pricey for what we ordered, but not outrageous for the area and waterfront location. Also worth noting: they are not pet-friendly inside, so keep that in mind if you're out with your pup. Such a fun and chill spot in downtown Greensboro! There's a front outdoor patio, a huge indoor area with TVs, and an even larger back patio with shade, greenery, and comfy seating. I've been here numerous times, and each visit has been a blast. Today was their Oktoberfest and it was a total hit. Live music, brats, pretzels with beer cheese, steins, contests, vendors, you name it. The brats were fantastic, and the atmosphere absolutely rocked. We had some family in town and happened to be in the downtown area. My wife has been to this place a few times work outings, I hadn't been yet so she thought this was a good chance for me to check it out along with some family. I wasn't really in the mood for beer, so I didn't any. They definitely have a lot of choices though, and it would be pretty easy for you to find something to satisfy your taste buds. I was hungry so I decided to get some food. I went with the Philly cheesesteak. It was pretty good. I will say that I think the portion was rather small, but it was lunchtime so I'm not complaining. There were also some other menu items that caught my eye that I will have to check out next time I come, including the hot honey, chicken sandwich, and the southend nachos. Brisket on top of nachos?!?! Sign me up! There's plenty of tables around to sit at. The patio was also very nice. Some other go-to dishes I get are the Brussels sprouts, maple porter brisket, and Italian fries. The outdoor seating is especially lovely with open tables and lovely lights. The service is fast and convenient, and there is a parking lot close by (about $7 for the day, last I checked). I got the half pound garlic parm wings (6) and regular fries ($8). The total was $18. You must order order at the food counter and drinks at the bar. After ordering, we went outside to sit as the inside was completely full. The music was pretty loud when it was playing. I received my food at 7:53pm. The wings were perfectly cooked! I loved the crisp it had. However, the dry rub wasn't enough for me, in my opinion. I like my wing flavors bold and it wasn't. My fries were lukewarm and mixed consistently in crispiness. Stopped in for brunch on Sunday, had been wanting to try the food at South End for a long time, as I've heard great things about their food from several people. Got there right as they opened, so plenty of seating to pick from. Drink orders are placed at the bar, and food ordered at places at the kitchen and brought out when ready. It's a very laid back, casual atmosphere, with colorful art on the walls. Service was friendly. The brunch menu had several tempting options, in the end I went with the brunch bowl with sausage and potatoes. It was good, and a nice sized portion, though I do wish it had more cheese, you can never go wrong with more cheese. I also got a flight of mimosas, which was flavorful, each with different juices. I think the pineapple mimosa was my favorite. We got our meals placed just in time, as yoga let out at 11, and the bar got very full instantly. So just beware of the after yoga rush on Sundays. I constantly recommend this place to people because it just checks so many boxes for what you might require in a gathering spot. Inside and outside, you have large seating areas, ideal for getting a group together. On a nice day, you've got outdoor seating all around. Service is bar only, and if you want to order food, there is a window to do that. The back patio is really nice when things are blooming! Across the board, the beers are enjoyable and you are bound to find one that suits your tastes. Anything from a sour to a stout, it can be found here. Bartender was happy to give you a taste if you weren't sure about one. I had the Mirage Gose and The Floor is Lava Wheat. Both very tasty. We started tabs at the bar and then ordered from a separate counter for food. Menu was extensive and I liked that they had gluten free offerings but I just ordered the Brussels Sprouts appetizer. Southend brewery is so good! It is bar food, but a little elevated. For example, instead of nachos, they have poke nachos with fresh run, avocado, etc. I am Not a beer drinker, so I can't say anything about that. But the real showstoppers were the maple porter brisket and the hot honey fried chicken sandwich--both packed with bold flavors and cooked to perfection. OMG!!! You must get there when they are open at 4 pm to get the best seat. Tap hours start at 4 pm on Monday. The kitchen opens at 5 pm We got zucchini chips, Italian fries and pretzels. I got a ginger beer they did ask if I wanted in a glass or in the bottle. That was very nice! I kept my beer in the bottle. I loved the label! Out of everything I loved the Italian fries the best!!! We were in town for a concert and decided to try this brewery out... it's nice looking brewery, not a huge selection but definitely a variety (from Charlotte and it's hard to compare to the ones around here). The brisket sandwich was pretty good, could use come sort of wet sauce idk, kind of dry but The pretzels tasted like something from Sam's that you get in the frozen section, the cheese you dipped it in tastes like fair cheese or nacho cheese kind of like from Taco Bell, just didn't love it... none of the bartenders or people bringing out food were friendly. One lady was mildly ok, but everyone else acted like they hated being there and were being bothered. The service was fast and the service was ok, but I didn't like having to go to the counter to order drinks and food whenever you want, but at least you have the option of opening the bill in one name and marking it down according to what you need. The outdoor patio here is large and very cute. There's tons of other outdoor spaces and plenty of space inside. The beer is pretty good, but what sets it apart from a lot of other breweries in Greensboro is that they have a full kitchen. It's not a sit down restaurant, but you can get food and the food is good. They often have live music outdoors, and it's close to other cool GSO bars (Boxcar, The Quarter). The downsides are limited hours and limited parking. You'll probably have to pay for parking or walk a ways. Bartenders have always been friendly when I've been there. read more

Unfortunately, I had to sit outside at the picnic tables in 90° heat because the inside was jampacked with people due to it being Tuesday trivia night. For that matter, the outside was also packed. The recent one I ordered was supposed to be Juicy, but was very Smokey and bitter (and actually very brown). The food options were surprisingly good. It's bar food, plus some, but done pretty good. Food is seasoned perfectly and their wings are probably the crispiest I've had in a while. You order at the counter and give you a number and service was very good, even in full/hectic nights. There's indoor and plenty of outdoor seating, live music and games on certain nights.
