    Spanakopita

I went here for a quick lunch. I generally love Greek diners, but this place was just okay. I was impressed by their long and varied menu, and was excited to see so many Greek classics on the menu. I opted for the Spanikopita, which is a spinach pie with filo dough. It came with a hearty portion of tzatziki sauce. Unfortunately, the spinach was flavorless. It almost tasted as if it had been wet when cooked. I did like the crispness of the filo. The tzaziki was inedible to me because the garlic was so strong. I did try some else's fries and enjoyed those. I really wanted to love this place because I love Greek food. I was pleasantly surprised when I got 10% off for checking in while there. I'm going to try ordering something else next time I go here.

I've reviewed the PepperMill Cafe before but will do it again to ensure everyone knows what a gem this place is. We order breakfast from here twice a week at least. It is SO flavorful and good. The potatoes are decadent and matches perfectly with scrambled egg. I look forward to visiting again.

Awesome service, and great food! Our coffee cups were always full and the bacon was cooked to perfection. I love the classic diner feel of the place. We would definitely come back! Only took one star off because the bathroom wasn't the cleanest and the sinks could be easier to use.

We just received two orders of Alfredo with chicken and broccoli. They forgot the chicken! Not to mention the sauce is very bland. Not sure who is working in the kitchen but they clearly didn't pass the cooking class. There's no excuse for not reading your directions.

Chicken Parm panini with waffle fries. Would have liked more fries, sandwich was ok.

PepperMill Cafe is one of many jack-of-all trades family restaurants in the south High Point/Archdale area, and our experience was just fine. Nothing remarkable that would make us really want to come out of our way to visit again, but if we were in the area, we'd give it another shot. We came in on a Sunday for lunch around 1pm, and maybe that is why our food wasn't great, we didn't realize they close up at 2pm. Everything looked a lot better in the pics inside the menu than it did on our plates. Flavor was OK, but the portions were pretty sparse. See my pics for examples... but my steak and cheese sandwich was mostly bread, as was my wife's chicken parm sandwich (with a stingy amount of fries to boot). It wasn't particularly expensive, and it's not like I was expecting anything amazing, but it just seems like it was a down day around here. We'll give it a shot another time.

Food was delicious, our waitress was very helpful. They have a lot to choose from. We came here on the way to Winston Salem. The staff clearly have a lot of returning customers because most of them addressed the customer by name. I ordered the chicken and waffles and the waitress suggested that I get the cream cheese butter and caramel. So. Good. So glad we stopped!!

Exactly what you'd expect out of a breakfast diner, but I was fine with that! I asked about gluten free options and they pretty much said I'd be good! They didn't make me super confident in my meal but I enjoyed what I ordered and felt great afterwards. They were understanding and accommodating, making for a great experience. Food came out quickly after I ordered and tasted fresh. It wasn't a spectacular breakfast but it was good. Needed lots of seasoning but it seemed like the chefs and staff were meeting the needs of the typical breakfast goers. Needs flavor but otherwise a mediocre restaurant. Might also be nice to have fresher, as well as gluten free options.

    House salad

It was time for lunch on a Saturday, and I did not want to do fast food while in the area. Noticed this local place and decided to give it a try. One of the Saturday specials is chicken parmigiana, which includes the beverage and a salad. House salad was brought to the table quickly. Since my server told me the chicken parmigiana was a large portion, I had only a little of the salad. The server was attentive and asked if everything was ok with the salad since I didn't eat much of it. When I have ordered chicken parmigiana anywhere else, it is served as a chicken breast on top of spaghetti, sauce and cheese. Here the chicken was actually chopped into chicken pieces and not served as a chicken breast. Flavor was fine and certainly an ample portion, but in my opinion the dish shouldn't have been labeled as chicken parmigiana/

As before, I give this a resounding 5 stars. The menu has changed a little bit since I last wrote a review, and I've tried some new items. I have yet to try anything that I didn't like. My new go-tos are the raging chicken salad on a croissant and the berries and cream pastries. If you read my previous review, you will see that I was working up the nerve to try the chicken salad, because I'm somewhat meat-averse at times, and also don't like heavily mayonnaised foods, which is a big risk with any of the so-called "salad" items (potato, chicken, tuna, etc.) in life. I can now confirm that the chicken salad is 1) not overly mayonnaised and 2) made from not-gross chicken (I have no further explanation for this, but picky eaters will know what I mean). It's relatively light, has a nice texture, and is flavorful. It is one of my favorite weekend lunch items (or weekday, if I'm working remotely and in the area) now, not just here but in general. The berries and cream pastry is delicious and I would eat everyday, or even multiple times a day, if my figure and my wallet could afford it. Sweet, rich, flaky. Definitely one of my favorite dessert / sweet snack items currently. I also got a birthday cake made here and it was absolutely gorgeous (and delicious, obviously). Very well executed and totally got my vision. As I said before, there is plenty of seating inside (outside too!) and the volume level is perfect -- lots of people coming through, but quiet enough I can read, study, or do work. We spend several hours at a time in here some weekends. Highly recommend to anyone in the area or passing through.

It's organized and run by the women of the First United Methodist Church. And EVERYTHING is homemade and served cafeteria style... Everything is made by the church members and the profits go back into various programs so they can "love on the children" (as said to me by one of the many sweet ladies). The Parson's Table is in the basement of the church and is not religious in any sense. The ladies wear cute aprons and work hard making and serving their food and waiting tables (yes, they refill your sweet tea and clear your tray). They even have someone at the entrance to greet you. It's not fancy, but it's good and you can't beat the southern hospitality and the prices. A sandwich, drink and slice of pie will run you about $8 and it all goes towards a good cause. My boss and I go here everyday while we're at market. It's an easy walk from the IHFC and the red line market bus makes a stop right out front. This review is for Fig & Olive Mediterranean Deli, the counter/stall inside Stock + Grain Assembly,…read morethe food hall next to Truist Point, the baseball stadium/soccer field in downtown High Point. It's not to be confused with Fig and Olive Cafe in Greensboro. Fig & Olive is new to Stock + Grain. It opened last month, July 2025. Stock + Grain opened in early 2022. The food hall has really filled in since then. We visited for dinner before a Carolina Core soccer game and the place was packed. My wife and I were drawn to Fig & Olive's menu. We wanted something light and relatively healthy. They sell sandwiches and bowls, priced at $11 to $18.50 each. We both got the Portofino Bowl for $16.50 each. It comes with baby arugula, soppressata, bresaola, marinated artichoke hearts, shaved pecorino romano, fresh lemon, and extra virgin olive oil. The bowls/salads were presented nicely. One of our friends commented that they looked "delightful." Unfortunately, the bowls looked better than they tasted. They were unbalanced and hard to enjoy. We were unable to finish them. While the portion sizes were decent, I was working/chewing through a lot of dense, cured meat. There wasn't any dressing except for the EVOO (which I'm not sure we even noticed) and some lemon wedges. Overall, the bowls weren't that flavorful. They felt incomplete. The quality of the ingredients was fine, though. They give you a pager so you know when to pick up your order. When I went to pick up our bowls, they made a mistake and only prepared one bowl instead of two. I let them know and later, the cashier brought my bowl directly to where we were sitting. She was polite and apologetic. No big deal to me. It looked like there were only two people working and they were busy. Given how new this place is and the appealing menu, I'd be willing to give it another shot. Maybe they were still working some kinks out and/or we ordered the wrong thing. Fig & Olive is certainly a nice addition to Stock + Grain's lineup. According to Fig & Olive's page on Stock + Grain's website, the business is "a social enterprise" of Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC's Providence program where "all efforts and profits support workforce development programs."
