Stopped in while I was in the area making a delivery. It was a Monday, so I lucked out because the daily special was as a "steak and cheese sub"l. The cashier was friendly, took my order, and I had a seat until they called my name. It's been a while since I visited this spot, used to stop in more when I worked closer, pricing is always fair, food quality is decent, service is quick and they've got a daily special Monday-Friday which includes a drink for under $8. The steak and cheese was ok, a little flatter than I remember, maybe not as much filling as they used to provide, but it filled me up, and didn't break the bank. A hotdog there are amazing, the waitresses very attentive. this is a small hamburger, hotdog place that still has curb service.

Steak and cheese is definitely made with that pressed flat steakum meat, and Kraft singles. Hot dog was decent. $7.29 for sub and small drink. $2.95 for hot dog. Take the ride up the street to Mario's pizza, for a real steak and real cheese sub. Thank me later. read more

Not a bad spot to grab lunch if you're in the High Point Archdale area. Mostly fast food in that part of town so this little sub joint was a nice find. read more

I have been eating at Archdale Subs since the opening in 1991 but my wife and I went just after Thanksgiving in 2023 and I got a hot dog the bread, hot dog and chilly were cold, the bread was tough and now they use cheap potato bread which is terrible. After all these years of eating there I will never go back. read more

To start. The girl who served me was super short with me and not friendly at all. Second .... the food. I won't say it was bad because it wasn't, but it was pretty bland, I asked for oil & vinegar on my sub & they put zesty Italian, I recognized it because of its bright yellow color and the fact that this is how my mom makes cheese steaks , personally I like the meat on my cheesesteak chopped up but this was in slices and they also use plain american cheese which doesn't really pair well, also wasn't a fan of the sub roll, they press it flat as if it's a grilled cheese. I debated whether or not this sub shop rated a 3 or a 4 star rating, ultimately I decided on a 3 (obviously). There were 2 things that swayed my decision. 1) the onions that were in my sub. They were diced! They also tasted as if they had been chopped (at least) a day prior, so they had that odd, not pleasant, bitter taste that lingers long after your sandwich is gone. 2) the female employee that was working the day/ shift we dined (lunch shift 2/16/17). She repeatedly made her way back to a table that was partially obscured by the soda machine so that she could play on her phone. Not cool. If I were the proprietor of this restaurant, I can only imagine how I would feel about that abuse of time. I see all good reviews here and I hate to be the one bad review but I had an awful experience while visiting family last week. I came in and ordered my food, and while waiting, I started seeing cockroaches. One walked right across my table! Saw at least three walking around on the floor. Not to mention the service was horrible. The server (I cannot remember her name) was plain rude! If she wasn't asking me a million times in five minutes how everything was, she was hawk-eyeing me the whole time. I know I'm an out of towner but that just made me very uncomfortable. I don't think I'll be in your establishment ever again. You people need a few cans of Raid and a deep clean everywhere as well as an overhaul of some of the staff....I'll go to McDonalds. read more
