Nicely bagged

If you are looking for a great hot dog, Dairi-o is a solid choice. This company, which has been in operation for 78 years now, has seen its menu gradually expand to included a variety of sandwiches, salads, soup options, and wraps. But the heart of this restaurant chain remains where it began - hot dogs, burgers, and milk shakes. The hot dog remains a clear winner in this area - and there are some very good hot dog houses in the triad, stretching all the way to Burlington to include Zack's! I ordered the Hot Dog Combo, which in retrospect was a mistake - the FF are as plentiful as they are awful - overcooked strands of non-flavor. I got a dog with mustard, chili, and onions and a dog with mustard and sauerkraut. These were, as usual, good hot dogs. This was a nice experience. This is a nice location, with a get in and out that is nice.

Sundae and milkshake

Very solid choice in fast food. They have a pretty wide range of food, including your typical fast food choices, healthier options like salads, several soups, and even vegetarian options like a black bean burger. I've tried a lot of things here, and have no complaints across the board. My old usual order was the Chicken Souvlaki. It's one of those things that taste more "real" than fast food normally does. Fresh, hearty, involves vegetables. I've also gotten a grilled cheese and tomato soup several times when I want something different. Lately, I've been in a burger mood. The burgers are perfect: not too greasy, but not dry. Buns toasted. A good variety of toppings to choose from. The fries are crispy and well seasoned. I dip them in ranch, which is also very good here -- it has that homemade taste and texture. They have a big dessert menu, and serve anything you'd get in an ice cream shop: floats, sundaes, shakes, banana splits, dipped cones, etc. They serve both hand scooped and soft serve ice cream, and I have never tried one I didn't like. One time, someone was picking up food and accidentally ordered me a banana pudding milkshake instead of the banana split I asked for, and even that was delicious. I thought it sounded disgusting and was mad about the mixup, but I ended up drinking the whole thing. The inside of the restaurant is spacious and clean. In short, Dairi-O coming to Archdale is one of the best things to happen here. Definitely on the pricier end of fast food, but well worth it.

Hand scooped sundae with chocolate peanut butter ice cream, sugar wafers, whipped cream, hot fudge, and a cherry!

Went for a late night snack and got a hand-scooped sundae. I always get their chocolate peanut butter ice cream and it's TO DIE FOR!! The restaurant is always clean and tidy, and the workers are always kind and helpful. Any food you get will probably be good, but definitely get the ranch, which is also fantastic!

Giving this place 5 Stars EVEN THOUGH we sat for about 20 minutes waiting for them to bring us our food, and had to ask us three different times what we ordered and who's name it was under but... that said, the boy who finally brought us our food was extremely apologetic. Smart move on their part by sending the most adorable teenage boy with perfect puppy dog eyes to humbly hand us our bag as he kept saying how sorry he was. Who could be mad at him? Not me. We had ordered on their app as we were passing through the area and they were very busy so I get how a mix up could occur. The 5 stars happened because even though we sat for 20 minutes, our food did not. It was hot and it was fresh. Other places could take note of this and maybe step up their game a bit or A LOT.... I'm not saying any names but their initials being with Whataburger... Anyway, I digress. We both got the same thing. The double burger with chili, slaw, mustard, onions, and pickles. While not necessarily the best choice for a road trip lunch driving down the interstate, it's hard to be salty about something so delicious. Messy? Yes. But it was a glorious mess!! You gotta love a place that not only allows you to completely customize your food, but allows it for relatively no extra charge except on the big ticket items like bacon or extra cheese. And they don't skimp either... which again made for a messy drive but well worth the laundry I had to do as soon as our 7 hour drive was over. The two patties were perfectly done, the buns were fresh and they were very, very liberal with the included toppings. This thing was stacked with a wonderful, meaty chili, cool, crisp slaw, crunchy pickles, and rounded out with fresh onions that added a terrific contrast to the chili and slaw. And the toppings were spread through out the sandwich so that every bite delivered on flavor. They were also generous with the napkins, which is rare these days and very, very much appreciated. The fries were good although I'm not a big fan of the crinkle variety... that said, I do appreciate that you have the option in the app to get them extra crispy. That made for a much better experience. Though they're not my favorite type of fries, these were well cooked, soft on the inside without being mealy like most crinkles are; while having a nice crispy exterior. If I have to have crinkle cut fries, I'd prefer Dairi-O's. I also tried their tzatziki sauce because I love that as a dipping sauce for fries and it was pretty spot on. At first, when I saw it on the menu, my thought was, "what does a burger joint really know about tzatziki sauce?" Turns out, a lot. It was creamy, tangy, with just the right amount of fresh cucumber and dill. Over all, as far as I'm concerned, it's a solid fast food choice that feels less like fast food and more like eating a perfect burger from your backyard grill. We both enjoyed it very much and will be back.

This is my fourth time eating at Dairi-O and they NEVER disappoint! The food is high quality and fresh every time. The fish sandwich is my absolute favorite. It takes a little longer than everything else as it is made fresh to order, but it's worth it every time. I do suggest adding condiments such as tartar sauce, cheese, etc. The vibe is friendly and welcoming, like a small town diner with a modern twist. Everyone is friendly and helpful if you have any questions about menu items. Will definitely come back again!

Apple Crisp Chicken Salad. Lots of large chunks of meat, fruit, veggies. It was a large salad.

Dairi-O First time visit to the restaurant. I was impressed. It's a fast food restaurant, but it seems to be of higher quality than most other chains. I played it safe and ordered a Monster Burger, a strawberry shake and onion rings. My wife had the Apple Crisp Chicken Salad. The burger was very good. The meat had a light texture to it, it seems like it was not overly compressed or handled before putting the patty on the grill. The flavor was good, no special seasonings I could tell, but that's how I like my burgers, lightly seasoned. It made the beef flavor stand out more. Very juicy, but not greasy. The veggies were plentiful and the lettuce was dark green (yes, I had to mention that as most similar restaurants do not have that...just a nice touch). Unfortunately for me, the lettuce started to wilt before I could begin eating it (takeout order). Everything on the burger was very good and high quality including the sesame seed bun. The onion rings are definitely recommended. Large thick slices of onions fried well and not greasy. Just some salt on them and that was enough for me. The strawberry shake was very good. You can see the strawberry pieces (lots of them) in the shake, so the flavor was very pronounced, which was a good thing. They also give you a good amount of food (and quality food) for your money. For the salad, it was large too, with nice sized chunks of apples, chicken and other veggies. My wife mentioned the vinaigrette dressing was nice complement. The inside of the restaurant was very clean and well lit. The staff were very personable and smiled when I arrived and when I received my order. They were also very accommodating in answering my questions, as this was my first time at that chain. I would definitely go there again if I'm in the area. Unfortunately, there are none near where I live...for now at least.

Dairi-O's food is always great and the place was super clean. My main complaint was the large soft serve was much smaller than the other locations do. I specifically stop at Dairi-O all the time for the purpose of soft serve and would love if the large size got bigger to compare to other locations. I was also disappointed with the amount of sprinkles because he really only put it on one side. Service was a little bit rude and not friendly but it wasn't anything terrible. Just a bit disappointed compared to other Dairi-Os.

Love Dairi-o. Best fries, onion rings, ranch and grilled cheese sandwiches in town!!

Big foot long hotdog (all the way) and Chili Cheese Fries

Fairly busy place, wide open space with a contemporary industrial design with the theme colors of Red, Green, gray, and brown. The observed immediate customer base is on the older side, think early 60s. If you like the idea of stadium food, but don't like stadium quality and prices, then definitely give this place a try. Its got the basics of Burgers and Hotdogs, as well as its derivatives such as fish sandwiches, BBQ sandwiches, and chicken sandwiches. If you have a more greener palette, they offer salad options as well. For alternative tastes, Chicken wraps, and a Gyro wraps are also an option. The Mediterranean options are decent quality to where I will order again. There are also three different soup options. If you're craving grilled cheese and tomato soup. The part this place is known for : Its the ice cream. There are 27 flavors that I've counted and a wide variety of ways to prepare it. I went for the strawberry cheesecake. General experience: its in the same conventional layout and ordering system akin to ordering at McDonald (ordering up front part, not the kiosk) Price range is about $10-$20, so its a fairly affordable place to eat out. Orders are completed in about 5-7 minutes.

I get the talk about Dairi-O now. The burgers are nice and fresh and pretty legit. Just the look of it, you can tell it's a high quality fast food burger. Seasoned well, perfect toasted bun and all of the toppings were correct. Fries were good too, wish they were seasoned more. Menu is quite extensive and I hope their hot dogs are equal quality of their burgers. This Archdale menu has double lanes which makes things quicker than it should (I'm sure they get very busy). Will be back to try more items.

Absolutely loved this place! My first time there and it was so delish! I got the two hot dog combo all the way. So yummy. And got a cone of the campfire s'mores ice cream, it was amazing. This place would be great for an old school feel date night, or solo or just out with friends for quick yet delicious food.

It feels welcoming, relaxed, and unlike your typical burger place. You can tell this isn't a chain restaurant, it's a place with character. Our server, Hannah, was absolutely fantastic. She greeted us with a smile, knew the menu inside and out, made great recommendations, checked on us throughout the meal, and somehow managed to be attentive without hovering. Great service can make or break an experience, and she absolutely made ours even better. We started with the Brisket Tots, and wow...these are a MUST order. Crispy tater tots covered with tender smoked brisket, creamy beer cheese, scallions, parmesan, and chipotle lime aioli. Every bite was loaded with flavor, and honestly, this appetizer could have been a meal all by itself. The drinks were just as impressive. I started with a perfectly made Manhattan, then switched to a Long Island Iced Tea that was properly strong without tasting overpowering. My husband ordered an Apple Tini, and we even had a funny moment when our drinks almost got switched at the table. We topped it all off by sharing a tequila shot together, making it the perfect way to kick off our date night. For dinner, I ordered the Jam Session Burger, and hubby ordered the Black & Blue Burger. Both burgers were cooked perfectly, juicy, and piled high with fresh toppings. My burger had incredible flavor with bacon, grilled onions, pepper jack cheese, bacon jam, and just the right balance of sweet and savory. Hubby loved the Black & Blue! The portions were incredibly generous. Between the Brisket Tots and our burgers, we were completely stuffed and ended up taking nearly half of our food home. That's always a bonus because lunch the next day was just as good. Before we left, Hannah recommended the Peanut Butter Cheesecake, and I'm so glad I listened. Rich, creamy, decadent, and the perfect ending to an already amazing meal. Everything about this place was on point. The food arrived hot and beautifully presented. The cocktails were excellent. The restaurant was clean, the atmosphere was fun, and the service never slowed down even though they were busy. My husband even ran into an old coworker while we were there, which made the evening even more memorable. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food and the portion sizes. You can tell they put pride into what they serve, and it shows. Whether you're looking for an amazing burger, smoked brisket, handcrafted cocktails, a casual date night, or just a fun place to unwind after work, Frady's absolutely delivers. We'll definitely be back, and next time we're bringing friends.

It's a chill, hole in the wall, neighborhood watering hole type of place. We chatted with a few locals and my wife and I enjoyed the atmosphere. They had some great beers on tap including several from Foothills brewery and also full liquor bar to send a few rounds for any occasion. I settled on the Mad Haddock (I know who orders the fish at a burger place) and my lady had French onion burger. The deep fried asparagus was a playful side that was memorable. We both really enjoyed the choices. The fries could've been more crisp but overall they were passable. The haddock sandwich was incredible and that tartar sauce was incredible. Like most self-respecting barbecue joints, BBQ Joe's lets the food do the talking: the dining area is strictly utilitarian. They keep busy here, but the staff are very efficient, and you won't be waiting long for anything. While BBQ Joe's serves up the chopped or pulled pork that is synonymous with the Tarheel State, don't go looking for the classic Lexington-style experience. They have a variety of sauces as well as ribs, chicken, smoked turkey, and brisket. Stop in before 11, and you can feast on a variety of biscuits. For my most recent visit, I picked up a chopped brisket sandwich with white slaw, a side of hushpuppies, and a banana pudding. The food was prepped quickly and brought out with a smile. The brisket couldn't touch what I had in Texas, but for High Point, it was definitely respectable. Though not as smokey as I would have hoped for, the meat was tender, and the sandwich held plenty of it. That said, the house Joe's sauce runs a bit sweet, and you might want to add a dash of something spicier. While the ring-shaped hushpuppies were addictively crispy and delicious, the banana pudding rated as tasty but unremarkable. BBQ Joe's is a reliable option for good food and fast service. You can find better barbecue if you're inclined to travel, but for High Point proper, this is it.

Compared to other cheesesteaks I've had, I'd give it a 7.5/10. Instead of fries, I chose the pesto pasta salad. The pasta itself had the perfect chewy texture, and I honestly wanted to keep eating it. Unfortunately, it was too salty for my palate.
