Was craving some ice-cream after my stomach was on fire having some extra spicy dumplings! I started out thinking of the usual suspect Cold Stone, but when this popped up in my saved places I figured lets go out of my way to try out a local restaurant and see what it is all about. And let me tell you all, it was definitely worth it! I got there around 8:15 PM and it had a dinner cum ice parlor feel to it. You walk in and on the right they have all the ice creams, you get to try whatever you want (unlike most places post COVID) and pick from an array of Sundae options in the menu. Infound their options to be classic and timeless. We went for the hot fudge sunday with Chocolate chip cookie dough and pecan praline and absolutely loved the ice cream! They put yhese 2 wafers in the sundae and topped it with whipped cream and a cherry. We loved the flavors, and prices were hreat but we felt they were a bit stingy with the fudge. The server happily gave us extra nuts and we enjoyed our ice cream in the homey old town atmosphere the restaurant has. We even peaked at the menu and were tempted to try something out, but were too full. Will definitely back for a full mea

What does one do when they are craving something sweet late at night? Find a new ice cream place, of course! So one fine Saturday evening, we were craving ice cream, and decided to give this place a try. Both the exterior and the interior give an old-school diner kind of vibe, and I am not complaining! Our server was kind enough to answer our million questions about different sundaes, and even help us with some tasting. After much deliberation we decided to get a Hot Fudge Sundae, but instead of just 2 vanilla scoops, we got one scoop of choco chip with cookie dough and a scoop of pecan praline. The dessert came topped with loads of whipped cream and a cherry on top. We sat there for a bit enjoying our cold treat, and the whole place gave me a very warm and welcoming vibe. I loved the sundae we got, but I'd really like to try other savoury items on their menu the next time.

After sitting down, I opened yelp & saw all the 1 star reviews. Naturally I was worried. It wasn't that bad. The food was fine. Not great but not bad. My burger was well done (she didn't ask). Had an Mr. Pib with refills. It was nice. PS - open on New Year's Day.

Outside.

They have a few coolers with many flavors of ice cream available. The workers were happy to offer us samples and in the end I got 2 scoops, one of some sort of Cookie Monster blue cookies and creamish style ice cream and I believe brownie batter. Both flavors were delicious and they hit the spot for a sweet treat craving. The shop is small with only one or two tables inside, but a small patio outside to sit and enjoy your treat. Pricing seems to be on par with other local ice cream shops, and service was helpful and friendly. I'd recommend this spot to others.

And while visiting…read moreHigh Point, North Carolina, I inquired among the locals for a nice place to have some good ice cream. They suggested Miso's Ice Cream and off I went to try it out. It is located in a small strip mall off North Main Street with plenty of parking. The front of the Ice Cream Shop is decorated very lively and you can see how much they appreciate their High Point University customers from a large welcome sign they have up letting them know this. The first thing that got my attention when I went in, besides how clean and organized the place was, was the great variety of offerings they had. I've been in order Ice Cream Parlors that serve Hershey's Ice Cream before and was aware of the many flavors they have to offer, but here besides the 64 flavors, they seem to have a variety of ways to have your ice cream, as well as other items such as smoothies and frozen lemonade, just to name a few. And to motivate you to explore the different ways of having your ice cream, they have pictures on the wall showing them. Even though the place was small with very few tables and chairs, it was already decorated for the Fall with colored leaves all over and small pumpkins on the table, creating a festive ambiance in which to enjoy some good ice cream. A young lady greated me with a smile and gave me a warm welcome. Since I was in the area to attend a Dinner Party that evening, I didn't want to get anything large; just a medium size cup of a nice flavor ice cream. The employee was so nice and helpful that when I asked her about a flavor besides explaining it she offered to give me a try on a tiny spoon. I tried the flavor Road Runner Raspberry and I instantly loved it. I invite you to view my photographs accompanying this review to read about what this flavor contained and see for yourselves how good it looked for a picture is worth a thousand words. I enjoyed having this wonderful flavor ice cream and the High Point University sign in the entrance made me remember my college years in Boston and Cambridge, Massachusetts, and how much I enjoyed going out with my friends for some ice-cream. I highly recommend this Ice Cream Shop and thank the owners of this family-owned business for providing this sweet spot where members of the community can come to spend some quality time with family and friends while they savor some good ice-cream.

We were pleasantly surprised by the incredible options available to cure our sweet cravings. The moment we walked in we were greeted cheerfully by a sweet young man helping his dad out for the day (or the summer, as he stated), we were also greeted by the incredible sweet smell in the air. The store was very clean and tidy. With so many options and varieties, we asked for the favorites of the young man, as well as the owner, and based our choices on their recommendations. Everything was DELICIOUS and HUGE! We all had a little something different and tried from each other's orders. I am pleased that we chose to make the stop, visit with the folks in there, and enjoy the treats they had to offer. I highly recommend this location if you're in the area and looking for a yummy dessert and an exceptional customer service experience.

They were really busy for a Sunday after 8pm, DoorDash recipes kept coming in.

I keep forgetting to pay attention to the actual price to write it in a review, but I always remember that it is absolutely dirt cheap. I'm thinking somewhere in the $5 or less range. And they fill UP that small. I'm generally a "would order a banana split and eat it all myself" type of person, but the small does not leave me unsatiated. My combination of choice is cake batter fro-yo with pie cherries, Oreos, and cookie dough. They layer the toppings in, so it's not just piled up on top -- you get ice cream, toppings, more ice cream, more toppings, and a little dollop of ice cream artfully extruded right on top. And as a bonus, a note on the cookie dough: it isn't those little dry balls of dough you normally see at the self-serve fro-yo bars. It is the Pillsbury "eat or bake" (safe to eat raw) cookie dough that comes in the tub. They pull a giant tub out from under the counter and serve you a very generous scoop of it. Staff are nothing but friendly and helpful when I've been. Interior is super spacious and relatively clean -- tons of tables, and I've never touched something sticky.
