I found them through Google search trying to find a restaurant that had onion rings near us so we decided to give them a try and we were not disappointed.. All of the employees we encountered were very friendly. Ally was our server and was AMAZING. We told her it was our first time there and she gave us some great recommendations. They also made a really good margarita and I am not typically a fan of traditional margaritas. The food and drink recommendations she made for the table were great, and the onion rings are definitely the best ones we've had in the area since relocating here. Both sandwiches we had were great. The Chicken Philly had a little bit of a kick to it, which made it a nice change from usual Philly sandwiches and the Cuban was different from a traditional Cuban as it had some barbecue sauce on it. It was a little different for me at first, but I ended up really liking it. Both salads were pretty big and both people really liked the salads. The person that got the blackened grouper Baja salad thought that the grouper was fabulous, seasoned perfectly and loved the salad overall. Just wanted to add to my original review, that Boulder's has become probably a monthly stop for us at one point or another. Great casual atmosphere, the staff have really come into their own, and the food is simple but has little touches that often make it a small cut above most other sports bar type places around. My favorite things to order are the smashburgers, chicken philly (almost as good as the one at Old Town, a restaurant also belonging to this same owner), and now the fish and chips. I decided to get those last night, and the fish was two good size thick cod filets, fried and breaded perfectly. The fish was flaky and tender, the remoulade it came with really elevated it, I'm glad it was not plain tartar sauce (gross). The appetizer favorite here is the pulled pork nachos for me, otherwise, we usually just get meals. If I had one small complaint, it's that the tea is usually brewed pretty weak. First timers here! Food: Everything we had was good from their appetizers, wings, handhelds, and salads. Their fries are potato wedge style and nicely seasoned too. We loved their homemade dressings. Service: Our server was great! Attentive, kind, and offered to let us taste test. She also was helpful in her descriptions and recommendations. However, our experience fell short upon arrival. The hostess said they don't have a table for 5 but we could add a chair to a 4 top. And when I said that's not a comfortable or reasonable set up for 5 people and asked if we could push two tables together, she seemed annoyed. Who thinks it's acceptable for a party of 5 to sit someone at the corner point of a 4 top table when there are open tables all around? Management advice: If this is truly your approach, I'd recommend you rethink that logic. This is basic hospitality. read more

The grouper bites with remoulade are one of my favorites anywhere, and they did a really good job with them here. My husband got the chili nachos -- they looked amazing and the flavor was solid. He also tried the traditional buffalo wings and said they were decent. I had the barnyard chicken sandwich with the honey mustard on the side, which I'd recommend unless you really love honey mustard. I actually preferred it without or would probably go with ranch next time. The sandwich itself was really good and cooked well. The pesto pasta salad on the side was fantastic. Such a great little spot! The food and service were both amazing. We ordered the grouper bites, onion rings, house wings, and chicken strips, and everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The grouper bites were probably my favorite - perfectly cooked and SO good with a little squeeze of lemon. The onion rings deserve a special mention too: crispy without being greasy, full of flavor, and they actually pulled apart easily when you bit into them (which is surprisingly rare!). The wings and chicken strips were also delicious and clearly freshly made. You can tell they care about the quality of the food, and the service was just as good. I finally found my favorite meal here! The blackened grouper sandwich! I usually never finish my meal but this sandwich was light and filling. The pickles were the finishing touch pulling all the flavors together. Our server was kind and efficient. Dining inside is a bit loud but it is a sports bar like atmosphere. TV's everywhere which I don't prefer but can tolerate but would recommend not showing the news because most people go to dinner to unwind and relax but the news is not relaxing. The largest TV was showing the Olympics which was good. I especially prefer sitting outside but it was a little chilly for that this time of year. Noisy, uncomfortable, and meh food. No options but the high tables and chairs, so not ADA friendly. We got there and were seated promptly, and the service was good. I was there with three others. My Ruben was the worst I have ever tasted, as if they got it out of a can. It was SO salty, chunky and tough to chew. Not slices of meat at all. I husband got some with chicken covered in cheese that he was underwhelmed with. My two other friends got a burger, which he said was the most boring and bland thing he's ever eaten, and the 4th got the fish and chips, which she enjoyed. I've had Boulder's on my wish list for a while and we finally made a Friday night date night out of it. What a great dinner! Despite looking full when we walked in, we were still seated immediately by friendly smiling staff, and that really set the tone for the visit. Service was prompt and attentive the entire visit, and we never had to worry about an empty glass or any other delays. Food came out fast, piping hot, and delicious. We started with the Pretzels which came out so hot we had to let them rest for a few minutes. They were served with their signature Hatch Queso along with some Carolina Gold sauce, and both of those were great compliments to delicious pretzels. They didn't last long on the table. Dinner was a Da Joey grilled cheese and a Chicken Philly. The Da Joey was honestly one of the best grilled sandwiches I've ever had, perfectly crisp on the outside without being burnt, with the rich flavors of onions, deli meats, sourdough bread, and the marinara for dipping swirling to make magic. I took home half and finished it the next day for lunch, and it was just as good the next day after a quick pop in the air fryer to crisp it a bit. Likewise, the chicken Philly was delicious and such a generous portion that we took about half home as well. Whatever seasoning blend they use on the chicken was fantastic with flavor, and it was very tender and juicy. Sides were tots (perfectly crisp and lightly salted) and pesto pasta salad (oily for my liking, probably wouldn't order again.) They have a modest beer and wine list and a short cocktail list as well, but we chose to omit the bar from our experience today. At around $15 a drink, we felt the cocktail pricing was high. Boulder's exceeded my expectations and I'm glad we finally got around to visiting. We'll be back! Great food, great service, and fair (food) pricing is the dinner trifecta. read more

We got here right when they opened at 11am on a Wednesday and were greeted warmly and seated right away. We chose to sit outside and loved the patio--it's a really nice space with a great vibe. Our food came out quickly after ordering. I had the chicken Philly with light cheese and the sauce on the side. It was thick, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The fries were perfectly crunchy too. My wife loved her salad. The service was excellent, and everything from the logo to the atmosphere made the experience even better. This, the establishment's cleanliness, and a few intriguing menu options help distinguish it from the average sports bar despite the requisite noise and screens. As a newcomer to High Point, it's off to a good start, albeit with room for improvement. Boulder's is seat yourself, and between the dining room, the bar, and the patio, there's a good chance you'll be able to. The menu offers the wings, apps, and burgers that you'd expect as well as a few pleasant surprises. They offer several variations of a fancy grilled cheese, grouper in a sandwich or in fried bites, and a surprising number of salads. For our first visit, my wife and I went with a pretzel app and then the pimento bacon burger and the meatloaf sandwich, respectively. Overall, the food was satisfying if unremarkable. The soft pretzels were in sticks rather than twists, and they came with a pair of dipping sauces: a mustard (OK) and a queso (tasty, with a nice green chili kick). The meatloaf sandwich was simple - meatloaf, ketchup, and Swiss on sourdough - though it made for a deceptively filling meal. While the meatloaf was seasoned well (savory with just a hint of sweet), the "spicy" ketchup didn't deliver any heat. I went with onion rings for my side, and they were crisp and nicely battered. The burger was good if a bit of a mess to try to eat. New restaurants often need a little time to get the hang of service, but that wasn't the case here. Our server was on top of things, and the kitchen turned around food fairly promptly. You'll pay in the mid-teens for a burger or a sandwich (side included) here, which isn't unreasonable. The onion rings were a dollar upcharge and well worth it, but a dollar to swap the burger's onions for pickles seemed excessive. Boulder's has potential, and I'm curious to see what kind of specials they come up with when they are further established. In the meantime, it's a solid option if you want a lively atmosphere. read more

After a run from Fleet Feet to celebrate Global Run Day, we stopped into Boulder's to check out the new neighbor! We were greeted quickly by a waitress and told we could sit anywhere, but took our order to the bar since we were getting it to go. The bartender was quick to welcome us and offer menus. They've got a good variety of burgers, sandwiches, wings and apps. I opted for a steak Philly, with fries. The wait was a bit long, but it's still the first few days, and it was a full house. When the food came out, it was fresh, hot, and looked great. Eating it a few minutes later, it was just as tasty as it looked, and the fries cooked perfectly. The interior is a typical sports bar, with lots of screens all over the place. And a great drink menu Overall, it was a great experience and I look forward to getting back there to try a pimento burger, or their brisket Mac and cheese bowl...both were calling to me, but I made a choice and was happy with the Philly tonight. We just happened to hear about this place through a FB group we follow. The restaurant is in a cool building and it's very open and inviting. The waitstaff is really friendly and the bar had great options. The food is really good. I've had one of their grilled cheese sandwiches, their chicken cheesesteak and their brisket cheesesteaks. All were fantastic. And their oddly shaped fries are fun! Prices are reasonable and if you go there for sports, there's plenty of screens- we had fun watching World Cup games there. read more

We had a great experience at Boulders! The place was spacious and clean and our service was friendly. They were absolutely packed but we never wanted for a single thing. I got a wrap with the pasta salad and loved it. I love a saucy wrap. My husband got a salad add grilled chicken and it was massive. It was also a treat to see that they had a kids menu. We got a couple of beers and an appetizer of fish bites which were unique - I was surprised to see them on the menu and they may have been my favorite bite. My only qualm is with the prices. We stopped by for lunch on a Sunday. We've been to Old Town Draught House and knew the owners were the same and as such were excited to try Boulders! We walked in and were told to seat ourselves. The bar side has high top tables and the other side and outside has low tops. We opted for a high top. The decor is all dog themed based on the story behind their name - I'm not going to ruin it, go by and find out for yourself why it's named Boulders It took awhile for a server to come by, but that's on par for a seat yourself place. We were given menus and our drink orders were taken. We got the chips and queso as an appetizer. There was nothing special about and we likely won't order it again. I ordered the meatloaf sandwich and my husband ordered the cheesesteak. We were very impressed with both! The meatloaf sandwich is on toasted sourdough and the meatloaf is nicely seasoned. The cheesesteak was smothered in cheese and very tasty. We got tots with ranch and fries as our sides. The ranch had an upcharge, but that's expected and clearly noted on the menu.
