The location is near a few car dealerships and I'm happy I say it driving by. The server many different food items but the tamales was the best on the menu. Sort of like a waffle house mixed in with many other options. Waitresses were all friendly.

Surprised to see such a big menu for a small diner. Lots of choices and specials. Prices are diner accurate, affordable. The food was alright and served luckily split. The staff was friendly enough. I think Abel himself runs the grill because one guest shouted "see ya later, Abel!" as they left. Small town, locally loved vibes.

This is some of the worst Chinese food I've ever had. I thought I just had bad luck the last time I…read moreordered so I gave them another try. That was a mistake. The egg rolls were mushy on the outside and the pork inside wasn't fresh... it hadn't expired... it just wasn't fresh. Maybe cooked this morning or even yesterday. The General Tso Chicken was made with low quality chicken. My wife actually spit it out it had so much chewy gristle. The sauce (which was supposed to be spicy had no bite. The broccoli wasn't lightly blanched... it was raw. The pork fried rice had no pork, didn't look fried, had a few undercooked frozen vegetables, and no egg. The pork lomein was the best single item... but I'd still give it a 2 out of 10. If the food was good I can forgive the esthetic of a mostly takeout restaurant... but given the horrible food the atmosphere was the icing on the cake. It's been years since Covid had us putting plastic barriers between us. Three unrelated items for sell. There is a candy vending machine (maybe to save people from purchasing dessert?). There is no culturally aligned Chinese music. And not surprisingly, there is no smell of food being cooked to order. I'm thankful for the pleasant weather because something tells me the HVAC wouldn't be on. Avoid this restaurant. I'll be driving to Greensboro next time I want some average Chinese food over this disgusting joke. I honestly have no idea how their Yelp average is 3 Stars. I'm recommending to Chef Ramsey Kitchen Nightmares!

If you're craving a seafood feast that actually delivers, order the Tug Boat at Smitty's Grille…read more We were told it was for two... and they weren't kidding. This platter was stacked with crab legs, shrimp, scallops, and more than enough to make it a full-on seafood experience. Everything was seasoned well and served hot, and the portions felt generous without being sloppy. They were out of clams (which honestly tells me they're popular for a reason), but the swap worked out in our favor. We got extra scallops and added fried oysters instead -- and the oysters were crispy on the outside, tender inside, and not overly greasy. The scallops were buttery and perfectly cooked. We also had a side of asparagus and fries, and both were solid complements to all the seafood. Nothing overcomplicated, just classic, comforting flavors done right. If you're going with a friend or date and want to share something hearty, the Tug Boat is the move. Come hungry and enjoy the friendly service.

There are two bar areas, both U-shaped and only 2-3 tables in the very back. Makayla is the MOST enthusiastic waitress and you can tell she LOVES what she does. My bar neighbors ordered the shrimp teriyaki bowl and the crab stuffed flounder. They BOTH look fantastic!! Hubby had the blacked chicken platter with rice and tots. I chose the 2 item seafood combination consisting of flounder and fantail shrimp, with their famous potato's and Cole slaw. The chicken was AMAZING, the tots crispy and the rice simple & flavorful - just like he likes it. My seafood was hot & tasted fresh! I can't wait to return!!!

My first go was the giant spud with chicky tendies and buffalo sauce. The chicken is so tender and has the right amount of batter crispiness to it. The sauce was very flavorful, but if you don't like it heavy-handed, you might want to ask for the sauce on the side. They aren't stingy. My spouse was raving over their jumbo shrimp. I can't speak to that because I don't eat them, but I haven't stopped hearing about since we went months ago... It's a modest-sized restaurant on the one busy street in K-ville. We were happy with every aspect of our lunch stop at Brother Cluckers! They won us over on quality, value, friendliness, and cleanliness. Hard to do better than that at a chicken shack... but we found so much more than great chicken. Indeed, I saw they had daily specials and that on Sunday it was a jumbo shrimp basket with a side of choice, cole slaw, and some hushpuppies. Sounded good to me so I ordered it up. My wife got the buffalo chicken loaded potato. They gave us our numbered receipt, we helped ourselves to drinks, and had a seat. When the food came out, immediately, you are impressed by the amount you get. My basket had 12 definitely jumbo shrimp, perfectly fried, the side of okra was just as voluminous and tasty... maybe slightly underfried but still crisp enough, and the fact they were a little underdone made the rest great in the air fryer later. Hushpuppies were located under the shrimp, they had a nice onion flavor and were great. The cole slaw is the kind I like, NOT heavy on mayo at all. A slight sweetness and hint of vinegar. The cocktail sauce even had a nice pep (I like mine heavy on horseradish). Could not have been more pleased with my order. Same could be said of my wife's potato, it was a big un' and overflowing with toppings and tender buffalo chicken. I particularly liked the buffalo sauce they use when I got to try a bite of hers. Not over or undersauced, well balanced... in general just done exactly how she wanted it. We both left knowing we will be back another time, and that it won't be a long time. Well done Brother Clucker!

Bread (served with whipped butter) was fresh & delicious. Crab & Corn Chowder was tasty but thin like a soup (I expect a chowder to be thick) and very little crab & corn (mostly broth). Husband had Black Bean soup and seemed to enjoyed it. Server was being shadowed and the extra hands were helpful (we enjoyed the extra attention). Food arrived promptly and to temp. Pecan Crusted Chicken was tender and juicy. The bourbon cream sauce was more of a thick glaze (lacked cream?), was thick and very rich (fortunately it was on the side). Husband tips were ordered medium rare and a bit more red than anticipated but he rather have his steak slightly underdone vs overdone (menu has description of various temps for reference). Oldest child demolished her Shrimp Caesar Salad. Youngest child enjoyed her grilled cheese and sweet potato mash. Portions were decent, servers were attentive. Ambience was intimate. Definitely would consider visiting again for special occasion.

We had made a reservation, which turned out to be smart because the place was busy, with a packed bar and full tables. We were greeted promptly by the maître d and seated right away. The cocktail, beer, and wine list is expansive. I started with a Manhattan, properly made. We kept it simple and ordered entrees only. This was a good call because the portions were just right with sides. All three of us had filets, and I added the surf-and-turf option with a lobster tail, Cabernet mushrooms, and asparagus with béarnaise. The flavors worked well together. We paired dinner with a bottle of Caymus and were impressed by the depth of the wine list -- some serious bottles on there, including Opus One. Service was smooth and perfectly paced. We were seated in the back of the restaurant, which has a cozy, library-like feel with a gas fireplace. We didn't have room for dessert, but the menu featured plenty of classic steakhouse options. We'll certainly consider coming back the next time we're in town.

For $103, this was a letdown…read more We ordered a pomegranate martini, a whiskey and Coke, and two "small plates" -- beef medallions with l'orange sauce and the beef short rib. For that price point, I expected quality and execution. It just wasn't there. The short rib was very tender, I'll give it that. But it was swimming in a heavy gravy with potatoes piled on top and steamed spinach hidden underneath, which made the whole dish soggy and overly heavy. Then there was a random orchid blossom and a branch of whole parsley on top (mine had a flower, too), which felt completely out of place. The beef medallions were the bigger issue -- no sear at all and they had a slightly gamey flavor (which I'm hoping doesn't come back to bite me later). Honestly, the l'orange sauce was the best part of the dish and the only thing saving it -- without it, the plate would have been close to inedible. The "crispy potato medley" was neither crispy nor seasoned -- and I mean not even salt. It was mostly zucchini, squash, and red bell pepper with zero flavor. All 6 of the tiny potato cubes themselves tasted like they came straight out of a freezer bag. Nothing was inedible, but nothing justified the price. The whole experience felt pretentious without actually delivering on quality or execution. I will say -- the staff was very nice and attentive, which was the highlight of the experience.
