With all the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, my wife and I, too tired to cook, were looking to pick up some dinner to go. After a some discussion and online menu review, we settled on Rixster. We've, been many times in the past, but haven't placed a to go order since the days of Covid I called in the our order as I was finishing up a few errands, the hostess who took the order was very friendly and said it would be ready in 20-25 minutes. I arrived a very full house of families dining and sports fans enjoying food, drink and drink while watching the game in the bar area. I figured I'd have a chance to grab a beer while I waited for the food to be ready, but was pleasantly surprised to find it was already done. After some debate, I decided to try something different on this visit, and got the Hawaiian Chicken Grill sandwich with a side of a Mac & cheese. Getting home, I opened the to go container to find a massive slab of chicken, sticking out both sides of the bun, not surprising based on my past varieties of chicken sandwiches from Rixster Grill! The sandwich was delicious, marinated in teriyaki and super juicy, topped with cheese and a grilled pineapple ring. It really hit the spot, and definitely filled me up. The mac and cheese was also fantastic, smooth, creamy and very tasty...only wish I had gotten an extra side of it. Overall, it was another delicious meal from Rixster Grill! We had never been here but decided after two different people recommended it, we needed to try it. Kelley M was the bartender and also our server- she was FABULOUS! Very friendly and seemed genuinely excited for new customers and gave some recommendations. She provided excellent service! We decided to try the Spinach Artichoke Dip with Tortilla Chips. It was pretty good. Kind of an odd texture and not something we would get again, but were glad we tried it. We then decided to split the Carolina Burger and the Steak Quesadilla. The burger was good, messy but good! The tater tots were good as well. The meat inside the quesadilla seemed more like smashburger type hamburger meat rather than actual steak, but again pretty good. Not a whole lot going on with it, wish it had peppers/onions in it as well or as an option to add for more flavor. We would probably not get anything we ordered again but will definitely go back to try another recommendation from Kelley, or even just for an appetizer and a few drinks if she is tending bar. read more

Rixters doesn't disappoint. I've tried something different each time since I've started coming and I haven't had a bad experience yet. It's a sports bar atmosphere with several televisions and ample seating. The servers are always kind and attentive. Their burgers are delicious, which I normally get with hot chips on the side. Tonight I tried the steak tips with Mac &cheese and green beans. It was delicious, and I cleaned my plate! My daughter got the chicken nachos which were so tasty. The chips were actually made in house with flour tortillas! Can't beat the variety and flavor, along with the prices that are comparable to other places in the area. Give it a try! read more

Went to Rixster's for the first time today during lunch and I was so happy to find a great spot for some food and some drinks so close to me! The service was quick, the owner Craig was super friendly and hilarious and made sure we were taken care of the entire time we were there! I got the veggie black bean burger and it was really good, I got it as a regular cheeseburger but replaced the beef patty with the black bean patty! We also split their Bavarian pretzel and it was delicious! There's plenty of places to sit and a huge outdoor seating area as well. I loved that they have a TouchTunes jukebox too! I went here for a business meeting and tried a few of the dishes. This was a while back, so I do not remember exactly what I had but I do remember that everything that we had including the dessert was delicious. The service was really really good. First things first, that patio looks so inviting...but what a bummer theres smoking allowed. I'm sure the regulars appreciate it, but maybe like a light fan or two blowing on a section reserved for smokers? We came for the chicken wings and burger reviews and were super bummed when we got hit in the face with smoke walking in. Other than that, our service was great, food was pretty darn delicious and the beers were cold. I'm sure we'll be back but the summer is coming and patio dining is where it's at for us. We got the carolina burger, shrimp po boy, chicken bites , and wings. Their waffle fries have the best seasoning and are still crunchy, tots and crinkle fries are great too. On Saturday, December 20th, we had a group of 16 people getting together to watch the 5pm football game. I called earlier in the day and said we were coming and was told they would not reserve a spot, they don't take reservations, all their seating is first come, first served. After talking with our group we decided to get there at 4 to better our chances of sitting together. The first to arrive were my husband, friend "A", and I. I said we had a group of 16 and asked if we could be sat together in the stage area. The reply was that we couldn't because that area was already reserved. Irritating because *do* they take reservations or don't they? When I asked why a different group was allowed to reserve, the employee replied that it was a corporate party. Ok. Whatever. The 3 of us sat down. Shortly after 4 more friends came. Then 2 friends after that. Then 1 friend I will call friend "B". Then another. Then a couple. Then 2 more. Then our last friend. At the end of the game when we all got our checks, we were told by our server (who was very sweet and incredibly attentive to every one of us) that her manager had added an automatic gratuity to our checks. Restaurants do that, I get it, but the first thing that bothered me was that it was 20% and not the typical 18%. Again, not a big deal. If that's their policy then so be it. I turned to friend A and friend B (they were each paying separately and had come at completely different times) to make sure they also saw the automatic gratuity and the server stopped us and said "actually no, for some reason your two checks were the only ones the manager did not add a gratuity to". Weird, right? Because they weren't together. They didn't arrive at the same time. They weren't the first or last to arrive/order. So what could these two gentlemen have had in common that caused them to be treated differently than the rest of the group? Allow me to tell you. They were the only people of color in our group. What could it mean? What was the intent? I can only guess. But surely, in the year 2025 we couldn't possibly still be doing garbage like this as a business, can we? I am shocked. Disappointed. We had a large group seating and the staff were very accommodating! Our waitress, Emily, was attentive, diligent and fast paced. She had several tables in addition to ours. We started with several munchies (Jumbo Bavarian Pretzel, wings and Spinach Artichoke dip. All served warm and a quick turnaround. I had the Salmon Filet Sandwich with waffle fries. Went in Friday night to watch the World Series and have dinner. We found a couple seats at the bar. The bartender was really friendly and attentive. My husband had the fried shrimp and I had the steak tips with rice and broccoli. Omg that beef was phenomenal!!! The shrimp was also good, not too greasy, but you have to check out those steak tips. I can't believe I've never been to Rixster Grill before! I've been in Greensboro for 26 years and have never once set foot in this place. After today, I'm going to become a regular! I went with some co-workers and they raves about how good the food is here. They were not wrong. For starters, the place is massive! It looks kinda small from outside, but once you walk in it's so much bigger than it appears. The dish I went with was their entree blackened chicken with two sides. The chicken was juicy and cooked to perfection. Their green beans have a lot of flavor and provide a wonderful balance to the plate. Rixster is a local staple! I can vouch for most of the food on the menu, it is all fantastic. The chicken bites (gotta get them buffalo), Philly steak and cheese, and the buffalo chicken wrap are my favorites...pair any of them with hot chips or tater tots and ranch and you are destined for happiness! When I'm feeling healthy I'll get the chicken breasts with roasted veggies and I've still not been disappointed. Besides the food, the owners and staff are all locals from the community who often give back. Not the little wings that look like a pigeon lost a fight. Good sized wings! The steak... OK so, low key, they overcooked it. But it looked so good that I tried it anyway. Best place in High point! Great food, great servers and a great atmosphere it's my go to place when I am looking for a good burger.

Met some friends here the other night. From the outside it looks small, but they have a ton of space inside and have a patio as well. Typically my wife and I are bar people, but since we had a four top, we grabbed a table. The service from our waitress was excellent and we didn't have to wait to ask for anything. She was on top of our needs be it drink or food orders and was super friendly and accommodating (wish I would have gotten her name, but youngish with brown hair.) They have a great beer selection and a full bar. They have some of the better wings I've had ANYWHERE, the steak sandwich was very good and the chicken nachos were worth the order. I don't want to say I had low expectations with the quality of food at a VERY sports bar, but everything we had was delicious and on point. Rixter has made its way onto my "must come back" list. Rixster Grill is your standard-issue neighborhood sports bar, but it's a pretty solid representation thereof. The abundance of TVs make it a comfortable spot to take in a game while filling up on apps/wings/burgers/sandwiches until the final whistle. My wife and I stopped in for lunch on a Saturday and found the place mostly empty. Annette, the lone server, proved friendly and welcoming. We started with fried mushrooms (no bargain at $7.25) and went with a black & blue burger (a better deal at $8.95 with a side included) and a firebird sandwich ($8.50 and ditto) respectively. The food came out hot with very little wait. I can't speak to busier times, but service during our visit was impressively efficient. The food, on the other hand, was decidedly uneven. The mushrooms were battered nicely, but they were begging for a more flavorful beer batter. The burger, requested medium, was served well-done and was very, very salty. On the other hand, the sides were money: mixed vegetables were surprisingly fresh and flavorful while waffle fries were perfectly crispy. The firebird (hot sauce-coated fried chicken breast topped with ham, provolone, lettuce, tomato, and ranch on a Kaiser bun) was not easy to eat - make sure you have plenty of napkins - but it delivered on flavor. All told, Rixster is worth a visit for a quick bite or a gameday meetup, but the food is too inconsistent to make it a regular meal option. read more

We ended up coming because they are open later then most restaurants. Good sign to see lots of cars in the lot. People inside and outside enjoying their evening. The atmosphere is great! We really liked how the tables looked clean and neat without all that table clutter. If I need it I'll ask for it. Casual dining, great place to enjoy music, drinks and food. *Menu states prices may change w/o notice* Ordered Philly cheesesteak and Hawaiian Chicken Platter w/ green beans . Both very good. Not into the craft beers much, but if you are, definitely come check them out! If you haven't tried Rixster yet you should. Always good supporting local businesses that meet your standards and expectations. Only down side was the wait staff were difficult to hear. The first time I visited was because of Yelp reviews, I had the Tips, and they are delish. Now, every time I come into town, I eat there at least 1-2 times. They make a fab dirty martini. Mandy behind the bar is fun and friendly too. Sometimes there is live music, LOVE. And I've tried a few things on the menu and have really enjoyed everything. Another excellent lunch here. I very rarely order ribs in a restaurant since I make them often and very well if I may say so myself. But I decided to give them a try. O M G, they were awesome. Not quite falling off the bone, which to me is a good thing. Just super tender with a bit of chew, perfect. BBQ sauce was great too. Had those amazing green beans again and the homemade Mac and cheese. Creamy, cheesy and rich. Our server was delightful, friendly and attentive. Oh, I almost forgot the fried mushrooms we had for an appy. Crispy and not greasy at all, perfect start to lunch. I rolled out of there very full and totally satisfied. I really wanted to like their food, but unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations. I order the Carolina burger with waffle fries for my husband. I ordered the T-Bird sandwich with mac and cheese for myself. We also ordered additional sides: cole slaw, potato salad, and tater tots. The Carolina burger was fine and the waffle fries stayed crunchy, which is awesome and always my concern whenever I order take-out. The T-Bird was bland, there wasn't much flavor so I had to add sauce I had at home which made it better but I shouldn't have to do that. The lettuce was wilted, which sucked.. The chicken was pretty crispy and well-fried, though! My husband said the cole slaw was okay. I thought that the slaw was way too shredded to really enjoy.. it looked like it went through a paper shredder ten times over before being mixed. The mac and cheese was literally topped with cheese.. the rest of the macaroni was just mixed with a roux and that was it, so that was disappointing. The potato salad was not my favorite either, it lacked flavor and depth. It looked like large chunks were cut up and thrown together haphazardly. The tater tots were fine, but because they were thrown into the styrofoam boxes while they were still hot, the boxes melted and fused to each other, which I don't think should happen.. read more
