Finally made it to this spot after having worked at the nearby climbing gym for over a year now! It's walkable from Duckus but I drove over after my shift because I was on the way out of town and didn't have a lot of time. Enjoyed a glass of Prosecco and shared some onion rings. It was nice to be able to sit outside on a relatively cooler day while some other patrons were playing cornhole and just having a good time. Guinness pints for only $5.5 too! Our server was friendly and attentive throughout our stay. I would definitely come back to try one of their entrees! @azfitfoodfun

The food was great. The music was great. The service was great. This place has a little bit of local magic that is nice to find. I wish it was closer to our house lol.

Great service and food. Started with the stuffed hush puppies and ended with Thai chili wings. Highly recommend and will be back.

We walked in and were a little confused as to how we would be seated. No one announced whether to seat ourselves or wait. Since no one approached us, we grabbed the first clean table nearest to us. We didn't wait terribly too long before a waitress approached us. This is a bar, so the volume is going to be loud. I was ok with that, because if you come to watch sports...this is perfect. They had several different sporting events on the various TVs. The only downside to my visit was minor. The paper menus were pretty dirty looking. Definitely time to replace them. I would invest in laminating the new ones. The items listed on the menu looked very appealing. It was really hard to decide what to get. I typically go straight to the burgers, but this time, I decided to get a Philly steak and cheese with hot chips. My daughter got mozzarella sticks and boneless wings. We were both pleased with our meals. Our waitress visited our table often. There is a lot of room in this restaurant and there even a[pears to be a party room in the back. They had great drink specials going on. I would definitely come back.

I've been here a few times. It's alays a good experience. I sat at the bar and was greeted with enthusiasm. Ordered the Chicken Salad Sandwich and hot chips. Delicious as usual, forgot to take photos of menu or food. It's Saturday afternoon so lots of people watching college games, with lively conversations. Saw they're having a NYE party with buffet. I haven't seen anyone do this in a few years. Sounds like fun, and I just might be back in few days to review the NYE Party.

Box Seat is one of my favorite spots to eat, whether dining in or taking food to go. The food is consistently delicious, the atmosphere inside is warm and welcoming, and the service is always excellent--friendly, attentive, and quick to help. I usually place to-go orders, and the process is smooth and easy every time. My go-to order is the Turkey Jammer with potato salad, and it never disappoints. What I love is that you can get the Turkey Jammer hot or cold, and it tastes amazing either way. The flavors are fresh, well-seasoned, and comforting. The potato salad is the perfect side--creamy, flavorful, and always fresh. When I've eaten inside, I've also enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. It's a place where you feel comfortable, whether you're meeting friends, eating with family, or just grabbing something on your own. Box Seat combines great food, a nice environment, and excellent customer service, which is rare to find all in one spot. If you haven't tried the Turkey Jammer yet, I highly recommend it--it's become a staple for me!

It being a sports bar, we were able to have fun, be loud and just have a good time. The food choices were nice and quite tasty. The service was awesome. They made sure we were accommodated well and our server, Ron was very kind and attentive.

The Podium - Our wings which included the flavors, sweet chili, lemon pepper jerk, and atomic buffalo

They have games, pool tables, darts, basketball, arcade machines, outdoor seating, and a welcoming setup that makes it easy to hang out for a while. The staff was very friendly and accommodating from the moment we arrived. Our total wait time from sitting down to receiving food was about 21 minutes, which felt reasonable considering drinks and appetizers came out first. The deep fried crab balls were delicious, and the fries were cooked perfectly. For the wings, we tried multiple flavors including Atomic Buffalo, Sweet Chili, Lemon Pepper, Teriyaki, and Jerk. The cook on the wings was excellent -- crispy without being dry. Some flavors stood out more than others depending on personal preference, but the Sweet Chili and Teriyaki were favorites for our table. The ranch was also really good, which definitely matters with wings. Overall, the atmosphere, service, and food made this a fun experience and we'd return again.

We arrived with only 2 other cars in the parking lot, which made us question if they were even open...as it turn out they were, but my wife, and I were the only patrons. We walked in to an unlit foyer, saw some light on in the bar area, so poked our heads in to ask if they were open. The bartender welcomed us and assured us they were, and invited us to seat ourselves. We grabbed seats at a high top, and she brought over the menus and took our drink orders. First thing I noticed was the table tops were not flat, they were wavy and made it very easy to spill your drink, so beware, and be careful where you put your drink down. The menu was pretty standard bar food, burgers, sandwiches, wings and other fried items. I decided to try their build your own burger, an 8oz patty with choice of cheese and toppings. Only side options were fries or hot chips. Food was quick to come out, but again, we were the only people there. The burger was OK, although just a frozen patty, they grilled up, the fries were good, but the portion felt a little small. Overall it was okay, perhaps they're still trying to get thing figured out. The bartender was friendly though. I didn't see a bar menu, but from what I could see they had a fully stocked bar. As we left, we poked our head around to the other side of the building to find a golf simulator, some billiards tables and a few arcade games. Lots of tvs every where though, probably a good place to catch a game.

The vibe is pure microbrewery and I'm so here for it! They are a hybrid brewery/taproom so they have 5-6 of their own beers and a variety of other local/NC breweries, which is great to keep options open while also showcasing in-house brewing! Jeff, the owner & brewer, was behind the bar when I came in and he is the epitome of the foundation of the craft brew scene. All of the in-house beers were fantastic! The quality and beer artistry that went into the beers was evident with each sip! Also, u gotta luv a place that commits to a theme! This one is board sports and from the name to the decor to the beer names, it is ubiquitous and I'm so here for it! The taproom is small yet weirdly spacious...w/bar, table, upstairs, and even patio seating! So come for the beers and stay for the flight boards (as each one is unique)! Beers had: -Vert Ramp Vanilla Cream Ale 5.3% The flavor notes on both the nose & body/finish on this one -Mile Marker 55 Mango Wit 5% Luved that the hint of very distinct mango was on the finish and the wheat/wit was on the front/middle palate! -Morning Sesh Coffee Stout 7% The coffee was prevalent but not overpowering...I could have this beer w/bfast! Made w/Dark Roast Sumatra -Get Barreled BBA Stout 10.1% This is perfection for the abv; no cloying sweetness, u get the toffee/vanilla behind the finish from the barrel-aging but the tannins & malt from the stout -in-barrel come through gorgeously giving u an unsweet BBA stout that holds up to the 10.1% -Shape Shack Passion Fruit Pear Sour 3.4% I usually don't do sours but this one drinks like a prickly pear (fruit) margarita, and I'm not mad about it!

After a some discussion and online menu review, we settled on Rixster. We've, been many times in the past, but haven't placed a to go order since the days of Covid I called in the our order as I was finishing up a few errands, the hostess who took the order was very friendly and said it would be ready in 20-25 minutes. I arrived a very full house of families dining and sports fans enjoying food, drink and drink while watching the game in the bar area. I figured I'd have a chance to grab a beer while I waited for the food to be ready, but was pleasantly surprised to find it was already done. After some debate, I decided to try something different on this visit, and got the Hawaiian Chicken Grill sandwich with a side of a Mac & cheese. Getting home, I opened the to go container to find a massive slab of chicken, sticking out both sides of the bun, not surprising based on my past varieties of chicken sandwiches from Rixster Grill! The sandwich was delicious, marinated in teriyaki and super juicy, topped with cheese and a grilled pineapple ring. It really hit the spot, and definitely filled me up. The mac and cheese was also fantastic, smooth, creamy and very tasty...only wish I had gotten an extra side of it. Overall, it was another delicious meal from Rixster Grill! If you like supporting flavorful, locally owned spots, I highly recommend you give them a try if you haven't before, they've got something for everyone on their menu and you won't be disappointed

She was literally hoppin' it was so busy but did a good job of keeping up. She helped me find items on the menu that fit my dietary restrictions. Nice vibe, laid back, loud. Parking isn't great limited onsite but there's plenty of additional parking across the street. The best menu! There's SOOOO many things I want to try. I mean, a variety of different fries are you kidding me? My friend had the spicy goat burger which she said was good: if you don't like messy don't get it because the sauce is very sticky and she said there needs to be more sauce on the burger. I had a customized salad which was huge and delicious. The salad was too big for the size of plate though. The dressing was a house made roasted shallots and was yummy. Outdoor and indoor seating. Arrived around 3pm on a Friday and sat at the bar. Given the hour, it was fairly quiet. Weird experience, bar was wide open. I went to the bathroom and when I came back, someone decided to sit in the seat right next to me. Why?! I must comment on the service. The barkeep got me a menu quick and I ordered a water. During my meal, my water sat empty for 5 minutes or so even thought I counted 8 staff members behind the bar. Given the time of day, it was not busy. I ordered onion rings (as a side) and the Bacon Jam burger as it came with the "cordon Bleu" fries. The onion rings stole the show. So good. The fries were not my jam. Low quality cheese sauce with lunch meat ham that was diced. My fault, I should have subbed regular fries as I don't like stuff on my fries. I was expecting it to be a seasoning. My mistake. The burger was good not great. I got the 12 oz size and learned it is 2 fat 6 oz. patties stacked. Makes it VERY tall. The description of this burger is shown in one of my photos. Again, it was good but the flavors just did not pop. Wish I got the French Onion burger. Next time. :-) I do recommend!
