The food was excellent! Ordered a grilled chicken sandwich which came with tomatoes lettuce and mayo. It was a chicken breast!! Which is top notch for this option. The seasoning was savory. It was not as busy as my brother told me it could be, there is a parking lot in the back. We found a spot as soon as we arrived. The inside was definitely full of patrons. We ordered at the bar and the food was "magically " delivered to our table. Come and you'll see what I mean. The mozzarella sticks were also very good. Draft by red oak, cold and crisp. Good vibe. And there is a pool table and darts. A few other attractions as well.

You cant tell me jakes doesn't have the best Cobb salad in greensboro and the ranch oh my god the ranch i could dip anything in it. The staff and service are always amazing and the food is always consistently good. The vibes are always super chill even at 3 in the afternoon!

Grilled buffalo chicken wrap with sweet potatoe fries and honey mustard

I've been to Jake's plenty of times, usually to drink and grab wings and fries to soak it up--but this time I stumbled on something worth writing home (or Yelp) about. First off: the grilled chicken buffalo wrap. I am NOT usually a chicken wrap person (too many tortilla-only bites at the end, you know the struggle). But Jake's changed my mind. Perfectly filled from start to finish, with lettuce, tomato, buffalo sauce, and grilled chicken that actually tasted like chicken and not filler. Paired it with sweet potato fries + honey mustard (because honestly, if you're not doing that combo, what are you even doing?). It was so good, I ordered a second one to-go for my fiancé. He crushed it too. Service? On point. My dog came with me to the patio, and without me even asking, the server brought out a doggy bowl with cool water. My pup devoured it like I hadn't already hydrated him earlier. They even refilled it, which made the whole experience feel extra thoughtful. Now, the one downside: the house margarita. Look, Jake's, I love y'all, but that mix was weak. A house marg should be simple--tequila + tartness + salt rim magic. What I got tasted like tequila mixed with... water that once thought about limes. Definitely needs a remix. But outside of that, Jake's is a vibe: good service, dog-friendly patio, and wraps that will now be my lunchtime staple whenever I'm in the area.

I'm gonna say it: Jake's Billiards has the best fried chicken sandwich in the Triad. The outside is crunchy, and the chicken is juicy; not one bite was tough or rubbery. I got the classic chicken sandwich, which is topped with lettuce, tomato, and mayo. My husband had the Buffalo Chicken sandwich, which comes with your choice of wing sauce; he had the spicy bbq sauce and said it was definitely spicy. If a place has hot chips, it's almost a guarantee that I'll get them. And Jake's hot chips come with ranch, and were perfectly cooked. I demolished them, and left very little room for my chicken sandwich. The assortment of beers is also excellent. They have tons of beers on tap, including local, NC beers. Our lunch came out super quickly, making this is a great spot for a quick lunch out on a work day. But, with billiards inside and an extensive drink list, you could probably spend a fair amount of time here, if this is your vibe. I feel like Jake's is the kind of place with a loyal following. If that's the case, count me in as part of it.

Greensboro has a lot of food options, but Jake's has remained consistently good over the years. Tonight we went early around 5:30 and I got the Carolina Burger and Hot Chips (photo was too blurred to post). My friend got a spicy chicken sandwich and fries. We did not go inside as the servers come out to the patio. They have pool tables inside. There is a lot of parking in the back. It's fun to sit outside and watch the Spring Garden traffic and the Greensboro denizens come and go. Across from Sonic.

Jake's is one of my favorite bars/pool halls in Greensboro, for a lot of reasons! There's plenty of places to park, drinks are reasonably priced, and the food and service is always top notch! Vegetarians will be happy here there are a lot of vegetarian options! I get their veggie burgers or their tree hugger sandwich and one of my all time favorites are their black bean sticks! I've always heard amazing things about their wings from my friends as well. They do start ID'ing after a certain time, and it does get kinda packed on the weekends. Takeout options are available! There are various activities throughout the bar, there is a ping pong table in the back, and darts tables as well. There's a lot of places to sit and you can also play pool and eat at the same time as there are tables and booths all around the area! Overall a great place to watch a game, get a drink, play some pool and eat some amazing food as well

Once again I'm dragged back into the amazing world of Jake's Billiards. Taco Tuesday for the win! $3 Mexican beers! $2 tacos! $4 sangria. Sign me up! Loved the Baja taco. The aioli and the mango salsa were huge highlights. I look forward to visiting again and again and again!

Not me writing this review while listening to a medieval hip hop version of STILL D.R.E. STILL - Repping the best chicken cobb salad all across the world. STILL - Hittin them crispy tots with the seasonings girl... STILL - Taking their time to perfect the Beef, and they're still across the street from the Sheetz. It's the J.B.L. All 2000s nostalgia aside, Jake's is still my absolutely go to for the best "bar food" in Greensboro. Starting with their excellent wings and sauces, cobb salad, chicken sandwiches or wraps, a litany of "fried deliciousness", and a darn good burger this place has it all. Plus, they have an extensive beer list, wines for those who prefer grape expectations, and can make you most any cocktail you please. Just go and enjoy!

Been here multiple times and it's always a good time. Great food and many different taps to choose from. Pool tables all over as well as ping pong. Plenty of seating area inside and out.

Best bar in town in my humble opinion. I love the food and the drinks are reasonably priced.

I got the gridiron fries and they were spectacular. The staff are awesome here, the food was great and the cocktails and bartender were even better, he could probably use some help at times but nonetheless 10 out of 10. I will most definitely be coming back because of him. Thank you Ryan and Thank you for your service to our country.

We came to watch the Kentucky Derby. First, let me say the waitress was great. She kept track of…read moreall thirteen of our orders and did as she was trained. Her demeanor always remained professional and courteous. The food varied based upon what was ordered. Those who ordered sandwiches reported they were good; those that ordered salads said they were okay (the Cobb was missing the egg and the chicken tasted pre-cooked; one person was charged 75 cents for extra honey mustard dressing), and those that ordered burgers said they were mediocre, reporting that the meat was room temperature and had a texture that felt pre-cooked. Beer was great. The issue came from the management. A person in our party ordered a Mint Julep. The waitress had never heard of it and checked with the bartender to make sure it could be made. She said the bartender wasn't familiar with it, but could look it up and make it. The drink never came. One of us went to the bar, picked it up, and brought it to our table. The drink lacked color. When our friend drank it, she said she couldn't taste any bourbon. (A classic Mint Julep should have 2-2.5 oz of KY bourbon.) We asked for more bourbon to pour into the drink. When the bill came, our friend was charged $23 for the drink: $10 for the drink that was made incorrectly, $10 for the extra bourbon, $3 for the sprig of mint. All our wanted was to be compensated the $10 for the incorrectly made drink. Management said they could not do it, that it would be illegal for them to do it, and that the bartender followed "their" recipe and that, even though it may not be what she was used to, the drink was made in accordance with their recipe. In other words, they lied. Management can always "make it right" by offering a $10 compensation, but they would have none of it. The integrity of the restaurant is lacking, particularly regarding management. So many great restaurants exist in the area. (We ate at two other restaurants that week that were excellent and in the same price range.) Why take a chance on one like this? Reading other reviews shows that something is terribly wrong with The Upper Deck Kitchen.....and what they call cocktails.

She was literally hoppin' it was so busy but did a good job of keeping up. She helped me find items on the menu that fit my dietary restrictions. Nice vibe, laid back, loud. Parking isn't great limited onsite but there's plenty of additional parking across the street. The best menu! There's SOOOO many things I want to try. I mean, a variety of different fries are you kidding me? My friend had the spicy goat burger which she said was good: if you don't like messy don't get it because the sauce is very sticky and she said there needs to be more sauce on the burger. I had a customized salad which was huge and delicious. The salad was too big for the size of plate though. The dressing was a house made roasted shallots and was yummy. Outdoor and indoor seating. Since I was driving back by on my home the next day, had a late lunch. Arrived around 3pm on a Friday and sat at the bar. Given the hour, it was fairly quiet. Weird experience, bar was wide open. I went to the bathroom and when I came back, someone decided to sit in the seat right next to me. Why?! I must comment on the service. The barkeep got me a menu quick and I ordered a water. During my meal, my water sat empty for 5 minutes or so even thought I counted 8 staff members behind the bar. Given the time of day, it was not busy. I ordered onion rings (as a side) and the Bacon Jam burger as it came with the "cordon Bleu" fries. The onion rings stole the show. So good. The fries were not my jam. Low quality cheese sauce with lunch meat ham that was diced. My fault, I should have subbed regular fries as I don't like stuff on my fries. I was expecting it to be a seasoning. My mistake. The burger was good not great. I got the 12 oz size and learned it is 2 fat 6 oz. patties stacked. Makes it VERY tall. The description of this burger is shown in one of my photos. Again, it was good but the flavors just did not pop. Wish I got the French Onion burger. Next time. :-) I do recommend!
