I love bar-cades and Boxcar is no exception. I've been here many times and love all of their games. They have a good mix of retro games from my childhood and some newer ones like Mario Kart. There's also a bunch of physical bar games like basketball, air hockey, foosball, etc. It's so easy to spend the whole day here. This is the first time I've eaten at Boxcar though and I was pleasantly surprised! The pizza had a good amount of toppings on it, the serving size was pretty big for a personal, and it tasted really good for how fast it came out.

Stopped in here as part of our Brew Peddler tour of Greensboro, and then came back after for more fun. I've been multiple times before, and am still a big fan. So many great retro games, different game styles for everyone in your group, they've also got a full bar and a pizza kitchen with some fantastic pizzas. We spent about an hour after the tour here, just hanging out and playing different games. We also got a chicken bacon ranch pizza which absolutely hit the spot. Full of flavor and generously topped, it was exactly what I needed to refuel! We were able to enjoy it on their large front porch, which offered a nice breeze, but also sim coverage. Boxcar is definitely a gem, maybe more so for people of my generation, but every time I go, I have a great time. Highly recommend

Majority of the coin machines weren't working. The ones that were working, you could not use a card on them and had to use the atm next to it and pay the fee. A large amount of the gaming machines had out of order signs on them, and some that didn't would just eat your coins. Gets pretty packed the later it gets and you can barely hear yourself think. Drinks are pricey, you have to pay to park and if you leave even over a minute over your time slot, "parking management solutions" will send you a BS bill in the mail. Honestly not worth it anymore

I arrived Around 4:05pm on a Saturday afternoon with my friends after grabbing some bunch. We got a round of green tea shots. Whiskey, peach snappa, and sour mix in the green tea shot, which is on special today for $5. It was tasty and the bartender said it was a popular shot. We sat outside for a short period so they could smoke cigarettes. I don't smoke but I accompanied them. There were heaters outsides which was awesome because it was cold haha. We got a couple more drinks and played various games. It was vibe and always is one. No complaints at all.

I'm glad to see Boxcar doing well. I made a recent stop after not having visited for a loooooooooong time. They're dishing out pies consistently now, and they look outstanding. Their Boxcar Lager was also good and I was pleasantly surprised by its taste! More games, and more pinball. Even Guitar Hero to have a good time! Bar service is good. The weekend ambience is crazy! A lot of people so it adds to all the fun. Overall it's a good vibe.

Drinks and arcade time with the kiddos was super fun at Boxcar!! The drinks were served quickly, and were reasonably priced and the space very clean and well put together. We got $20 of tokens and enjoyed a full hour of games - from skeeball to guitar hero to space invaders and more!

This place is for all ages depending on the time of day to be completely honest. We just came passing through on our way road tripping and loved it, will be back and are planning to make a trip to Greensboro now. It has a cute little arcade and the food is absolutely delicious. I mean it's pizza...it's hard to go wrong with pizza and they do have pickle pizza that's interesting but I do wanna come back and try it and they do have cannolis that I'm very intrigued about. All in all the bartender was amazing, pizza came out SUPER FAST and everything went great i recommend, highly. Oh and the bathroom is selfie approved and clean with cup holders haha

Good times. Lots of retro arcade games. Inexpensive fire pit pizza. Parking is an issue. You have to pay $8 to park in a lot.

Fun stop on a Saturday bar hopping! The atmosphere is games and fun, lots of arcade options. Even basketball and air hockey. Have a drink while you explore. I love the newer layout with the pizza kitchen indoors. We had a chicken bacon ranch pizza for a snack and it was so tasty!! Also plenty of patio seating to enjoy while the weather is nice. We will have to come back to try the Sunday morning yoga...

The pickle pizza still slays and we played some games this time. Went with a large group and they were slinging pizzas out so fast.

Definitely a cool arcade bar. We actually stumbled here on the Fourth of July, a lot of the streets were shut down due to the festival, but we thought we'd come on in for some games and a drink or two. Bar service was speedy quick as it was not packed, the drink menu was easy to choose from and drink prices were not insane. I wasn't able to eat a bite of pizza due to already eating before I came here, but I'd assume it's perfect for when you are hanging out playing games and ready for a bite to eat.

Pickle pizza! That's it- get it!! The drink buckets are also a fun must try. This is not a place to relax at. Lots of people, action and an all around good vibe!! You order at the counter and wait to receive a text that your food is ready.

She was literally hoppin' it was so busy but did a good job of keeping up. She helped me find items on the menu that fit my dietary restrictions. Nice vibe, laid back, loud. Parking isn't great limited onsite but there's plenty of additional parking across the street. The best menu! There's SOOOO many things I want to try. I mean, a variety of different fries are you kidding me? My friend had the spicy goat burger which she said was good: if you don't like messy don't get it because the sauce is very sticky and she said there needs to be more sauce on the burger. I had a customized salad which was huge and delicious. The salad was too big for the size of plate though. The dressing was a house made roasted shallots and was yummy. Outdoor and indoor seating. Not in Greensboro often but I'm coming back here!

Since I was driving back by on my home the next day, had a late lunch. Arrived around 3pm on a Friday and sat at the bar. Given the hour, it was fairly quiet. Weird experience, bar was wide open. I went to the bathroom and when I came back, someone decided to sit in the seat right next to me. Why?! I must comment on the service. The barkeep got me a menu quick and I ordered a water. During my meal, my water sat empty for 5 minutes or so even thought I counted 8 staff members behind the bar. Given the time of day, it was not busy. I ordered onion rings (as a side) and the Bacon Jam burger as it came with the "cordon Bleu" fries. The onion rings stole the show. So good. The fries were not my jam. Low quality cheese sauce with lunch meat ham that was diced. My fault, I should have subbed regular fries as I don't like stuff on my fries. I was expecting it to be a seasoning. My mistake. The burger was good not great. I got the 12 oz size and learned it is 2 fat 6 oz. patties stacked. Makes it VERY tall. The description of this burger is shown in one of my photos. Again, it was good but the flavors just did not pop. Wish I got the French Onion burger. Next time. :-) I do recommend!

Anthony is my fav bartender but everyone does an amazing job. I love the on the menu jalapeno strawberry margarita, but like this night pictured if I want something else he will make it for me ! And he's never made me a bad drink ! (This wasn't my first rodeo here ). On to the food. This wasn't my first time having the collard sausage dip and I could eat it with my hands it was so delicious freshly made and creamy ! This is hands down the best dip I've ever had and to top it off the fried pita !! My only complaint is there aren't enough pitas to dip ratio but I will order more next time. And I found the dip greatly paired with the catfish. ( no judgement) The catfish is something I've had before but I didn't have the pleasure of the waffles the last time and let me tell you ! This is a work of art. I want to personally meet whoever made this idea of layered fish , greens and waffles but it was heavenly. And I wanted to eat it all but my stomach just wouldn't allow it. I did however heat the leftover the following morning for breakfast and they were still perfect. Last but not least the Mac and cheese was creamy, noodles were perfectly cooked and it was seasoned to a T. I'm picky on Mac and cheese being my favorite food and they do it justice. See you all next weekend!

The dip is always so delicious - it's one of my favorite appetizers ever. The pita is really good too. I think they recently started adding cheese to it too which is good but not really necessary in my opinion. At first, they brought us pita that was really burnt but our waiter told us she requested a fresh batch without us even saying anything which I think is great service. I also tried their garlic parm boneless wings & they were so good. I loved how seasoned & salty they were, although they might be too salty for some people. I really loved it though! Their cocktail menu is also really interesting & creative. It's mostly whiskey of course but they do have other spirits. I tried the peanut butter & jelly Old fashioned and it was surprisingly delicious. It really did taste like a PB&J so I highly recommend. The inside is small but there's a nice outdoor seating area too. This really is one of my favorite places to get food in the area BUT the only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because anytime I've been there remotely close to closing, they definitely let you know & make you feel rushed. I'm not one to go to restaurants last minute when they're closing because I know how that can make it difficult for employees, but being somewhere 45 minutes before they close shouldn't warrant getting rushed. I've been there before just to have a few cocktails at the bar about 45 min before closing & had the same experience. I still really love this place & will keep going (but probably not within an hour or so of closing lol)

Jill and Kayne, who previously created KAU at Revolution Mill before selling it to Pepper Moon, also own Old Town Draft House and Boulder's Bar and Grill. Each and every one is amazing in its own way. Old Town has been one of the longest standing establishments, and it puts out incredible food! Burgers, wraps, apps, salads, wings, sandwiches, Philly's, even a burrito... you name it. Pretty much everything that comes out of this kitchen is a hit. Today I had the chicken Philly. Yep, the best chicken Philly I've had in a very long time. The classic soft Philly hoagie, chicken that's tender and juicy, peppers and onions full of flavor with the perfect consistency (not too limp, not too raw), all topped with oozing cheese that they're not shy with. I'm salivating just thinking about it as I write this...may have to go get another one tomorrow lol. The housemade chips and dip were perfect with it. On a Saturday afternoon, I was in Greensboro and in the mood for some good pretzels and a draft beer, and this hit the spot. Old Town Draught House has a very old bar ambience, without feeling worn out and dated. I love the old dark wood throughout the building. They have a pretty broad draft beer menu, along with normal bar offerings. I was happy to see multiple sour beers on the list, because that's exactly what I was in the mood for. There's no table service, and it is seat yourself, but the bartenders were very attentive, and it was never difficult to place an order at the bar. We ordered a few beers and decided to get deviled eggs and the pretzels as appetizers to share. Food came out very quickly. The pretzels were pretty good, but I've had better elsewhere. Rather than being crispy, they were soft and a bit soggy, but the flavor was great. The beer cheese was on point, although I would've preferred a spicy brown mustard over yellow mustard. The deviled eggs were a bit of a letdown, because it was just a hard-boiled egg cut in half with a little bit of sweet chili peppers and dressing that tasted like 1000 Island on top. When I think of deviled eggs, I anticipate the egg yolks being removed, mixed with a few ingredients, and piped back in. For what was basically two eggs cut in half, the six-dollar price tag was steep. Overall, we had a great experience, although I would likely choose different food options next time. The bar staff were great, the beer offerings nice, and the ambience was a good vibe.
