I love love love their Buffalo Trace Old Fashioned and I highly recommend asking for it smoked for the $1 up charge. Amazing! This has officially become our go to cocktail lounge locally here in Greensboro. We had excellent cocktails, super fun service, and the ambiance was exactly what we wanted for an intimate and classy evening out. Our bartender, LT, was so much fun. Every drink was spot on. An espresso martini for my wife and a bold old fashioned for me. On top of that, LT clearly knows his stuff when it comes to both cocktails and bourbon knowledge. I added a 1oz neat pour of 12yr Weller. Let's just say this place is a Weller lover's dream. The owner is a huge Weller fan and keeps the lounge stocked with pretty much every bottle imaginable. Something that's nearly impossible to find in Greensboro. And then there's the showstopper: a Weller Millennium bottle sitting on display. At $600 for a 1oz pour, it's pure eye candy for me. I'll just admire it from one of the comfy couches or large chairs and keep my wallet happy. This is a very chill low key place that was such a vibe! Our server Brianna was super nice and I love that like the whole bar is like couches so it was perfect for a first date. We were able to have some great cocktails, relax on the couch and actually talk without yelling over music or other individuals. They also have cigars if you're into that. My only complaint is that they sat 3 of on one little couch which required one of my, me, to be in the middle. It was quite awkward. It was busier, sure, I get it. This is a welcoming, cozy bar. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. The a synonymous chairs and variety of couches gives this place an at home, cozy feeling. The tables and lamps were perfect for the ambiance. With bring a tequila girl, I wasted no time ordering a seasonal spicy margarita. The Tajin on the rim was icing on the drink itself. It was well balanced with the pineapple juice. Now, I do not consider myself a Gin person whatsoever, but the Southside Elm is a gem of a drink. It was smooth with lime juice and simple syrup! This place is nothing short of amazing. I wish we would have found it sooner! It has an eclectic selection of seats all very comfortable and the decor is well done. It is dimly lit and gives a very warm and inviting environment. Big kudos on whoever decorated the place. The real stars of the show though are the spirits. Looking for that particular scotch or bourbon that you can't find anywhere because it's so rare? You can find it here and you don't need to buy a full bottle, you can just have one serving. Now let's be honest some things are a bit expensive and their selections go up to about $700 for a single glass of high-end rare liquor. I didn't get that but we did spend a fair amount of money on amazing drinks. Would we do it again? We plan on it and we're even bringing some good friends with us too. read more

I'm actually so disappointed to be writing this review because I've been wanting to try this place for a while. I finally got to go last night for my birthday and the experience was not a good one unfortunately. The inside is cute with a speakeasy vibe but they are very particular about their furniture. I was on a couch with 2 other people and an employee told my friend that the couch was "quite expensive" so he needed to sit on a stool because only 2 people could sit on the couch. It was really odd because we were all on the couch cushions so we were literally just sitting on the couch like you're supposed to. I'm not really sure why you would have furniture that's so expensive in a bar, especially if you're worried about people just sitting on the couch. The drinks were just ok. I had an espresso martini which is one of my favorite drinks but it was bitter and not that great unfortunately. My friend ordered a vodka sprite and when they brought the drink it was actually a vodka soda so my friend asked if they could fix it and as the server walked away, he muttered "great" under his breath. This place is expensive like others have mentioned and I really would expect better customer service when the prices are so high. Our waitress was nice so I'm giving it 2 stars but overall, this was a really odd experience and I can't see myself going back. My husband and I are always on the lookout for the best watering hole. Muddle is by far our favorite! The interior's beautiful and classy! It makes you just want to hang out and chat with fellow customers which we did on our first visit. Our waitress was awesome! She was very sweet and friendly. She sat with us and answered all our questions which was so much appreciated! The owner who happened to also mind the bar was very nice and informative. We attended the soft opening of Muddle. on Friday evening and it was the best post dinner spot for yummy cocktails in a laid back, moody atmosphere. We had a section of the bar reserved and a cocktail waitress to take our order and bring our drinks which was super nice. They were fast and efficient and the cocktails were simple but perfection. They also don't skimp on the liquor so you're getting what you pay for. I love the dark, 1920s vibe of the place. It's classy yet you feel comfortable. The owner stopped by to chat and he was very appreciative to have us experience his newest business (he also owns the music venue Hangar 1819). We will definitely be back as this is one of the few good cocktail bars in GSO and it's super convenient being downtown! read more

Such a cute place! We've desperately needed a an upscale cocktail lounge in Greensboro. The interior decoration is lovely, it's giving Manhattan vibes. The couches are comfortable and really great for sitting with friends or meeting strangers like we did last night. The drinks were great, I ordered the French 75 and it was delicious. Settled in Downtown Greensboro Muddle is a very unique speakeasy-esque bar. From the furniture to the bar the decor and the ambiance is very relaxing and calming. Walking downtown this evening we saw the coolest cocktail lounge. Very classy with vintage type furniture and dark walls. The security door person greeted us and asked for our ID's. It's always nice to be carded! We were asked where we would like to sit and we opted for a cute little grouping near the front window for the best people watching. They have a cocktail menu with the standard drinks nothing too wild or with crazy names. I got an espresso martini and my BF got an old fashioned. The drinks were good and the servers were very nice. It was pricy... $35+ for 2 drinks (not including tip). It reminded us of a swanky hotel lobby. A great spot to stop in before or after a dinner out. The place is dark-pretty much everything is painted black. Sofas are comfortable. The bar is average size. Drinks are priced fairly high even for downtown Greensboro. Service was ok at best.
