Stopped by this past weekend to grab some lunch and it seemed we picked the perfect time! Not a long wait at all for seating or food! Started with the appetizer special which was a sampler of apps, and our server was nice enough to sub in some pretzel bites for us. All of the apps were good though, hot and fresh and even more importantly, tasty. We got the mozzarella sticks, pretzel bites, and bangin shrimp. For the main dish I got the spicy smash burger and added bacon. The burger was pretty tasty, both patties were juicy and overall it was the perfect spice. I will say, the burger patties themselves didn't really seem like smash style patties, they were fairly thicker and seemed to be normal grilled patties. Having two was almost too much burger to bun/topping ratio in my opinion. Fries could have been a little more seasoned and crispy as well, but that's more of a personal preference. Also got the Dark and Stormy cocktail as well. It was a nice and refreshing drink to get the meal started, two rums with lime juice, vanilla, and soda water. Well..... we decided to try some place new today.... We were sat pretty promptly and were given ice water. (No silverware or napkins in sight) Ordered an appetizer of chicken wings. They arrived and were coned nicely and had a great taste. (Still no silverware or napkins) we asked for napkins of course at this point because our hands are sticky. Food came. Burger was missing lettuce (easy fix) he said his steak was cooked PERFECTLY (still no silverware) I requested more mayo and more dressing (still no silverware) we realized there wasn't any silverware when he wanted to cut into the steak. So we had to request silverware. Back to the steak.... Cooked PERFECTLY..... zero seasoning. Added a little salt and requested steak sauce and the steak was demolished. My wales saw my water getting low and said she was coming with more water. I finished my water she came by and asked if we needed anything.... Water please. With a few adjustments to the obvious (having silverware at the table when seating customers, and keeping a real eye out for drinks) this place might be alright. Love Boots and Bourbon! The ambiance, food, and staff warmly encourage you to visit again and again. I've been a few times and have never had anything bad. From the burgers, to the wings, to the soups-everything comes out hot, well seasoned, and tasty. The drinks also can't be beat. Enjoyed dinner with 2 of my girlfriends. We went on a Thursday night and not very crowded. They had live music which added a nice ambiance. I ordered the 3,Barbacoa tacos but they were out of barbacoa. I went with the ground beef on corn tortillas. Mmmmm! My friend ordered the shrimp tacos and said they were very good. The waitress recommended the cheesecake and it was a fabulous suggestion. We got the salted caramel and shared a slice. Soooo delicious! I'm sorry I didn't get pics of the food as we dove right in. We had such an amazing time. They place have such a fun vibe, from the western décor and little details to the saddles (of course I had to get a photo on one ). I tried their Western Ginger cocktail and loved it. We also had the black bean burger and the breakfast-for-dinner cheeseburger, which was definitely a winner. I was able to swapped the fries for their truffle & Parmesan fries, and wow... totally worth it! Four stars because Daphne (waitress) and the manager (Dena? Diana? Diane?) made it right. There were three of us. We were there during soft launch and were aware of this. Two ordered basic make your own burgers. I ordered a burger off menu. No over the top special requests. Maybe 20 people in the whole restaurant. It was 45min to an hour before we got our food. The manager walked over to tell us that our food went to the wrong table. I found that hard to believe with two custom burgers. But she acknowledged our extra long wait. Even then it took about 20 minutes to get food. I commented to my friend that if they can't handle this small of a crowded the. They are in trouble when this place gets packed. When we finally got our food it was hot and delicious. Unfortunately, I had to wolf mine down. I was on the clock to get back home and had overstayed. Daphne was attentive early on in our service. Then we die t see her. Perhaps she went on break but about the time we finally got our food we saw her again. Could have been she was working the patio too? I'll be back to Boots & Bourbon once they get their feet under them. Hoping the management reads this. 1) while thar dragonfruit based shot of the day was excellent why was it not bourbon based? It's an opportunity to get folks to try what is in your namesake "Bourbon". I get it. Bourbon can be an acquired taste. Introduce me to different bourbons. Have a $5 batched bourbon based cocktail. 2) The Kentucky Lemonade is made with Jack Daniela which is from Tennessee. A liquor that would be a bourbon except for the addition of the Lincoln county process hence a it's a whiskey. Why is it called Kentucky Lemonade? First time trying and it was great! Stopped in on a Tuesday and was glad to join in on the music bingo/trivia combo. Unique compared to other places in town and super fun! I tried the wings with 2 different flavors, the house bourbon and the tequila lime. Both were great and the wings were cooked perfectly. Fast and friendly service. This is a great spot to grab a drink and some food! I recently stopped in for lunch. We started the meal with the appetizer sampler. My sister asked about the pretzel bites and the appetizer sampler and our server asked if we wanted to add the pretzel bites to our sampler and swap it for something else. I thought that was really nice of the waitress. She was very kind and tentative. The sampler was really good. The shrimp were my favorite part. They were cooked perfectly and had this yummy sweet and spicy sauce on them. I got the kickin chicken sandwich with chips. The chicken sandwich was fresh and had a really good flavor. My sister got the chicken tacos and loved them. My boyfriend ordered the spicy smash burger and liked it but it wasn't really a smash burger. It was more of a double burger than a smash burger. We enjoyed the lunch and would probably come back, but I think I'd mainly come back for drinks and appetizers. The meal was a bit expensive for a casual lunch so it's not some where I'd go often. We ordered an appetizer and each got an entree then shared a dessert! Everything was delicious & their portions are generous. I went for the Superbowl because they had where you could get $5 off if you made a reservation, and they had great deals. The deals included drink specials, build your own sampler, buy one get one wings. The server was nice. Quite a few of the servers came over and checked on us while we were there. I came here to keep a friend company after a workout. It happened to be a music bingo/trivia night so it was a pretty fun/engaging atmosphere. I already ate so I decided on getting something to drink and the bourbon flights caught my eye. The restaurant was pretty new so I guess our server was still learning the menu because she didn't know the prices of the bourbon flights ($32-$40) or what came in them. Outside of that she took really good care of the table and made sure we had everything we needed. I got the Progressive flight which is 4 shots of bourbon (seemed closer to half shots but it's hard to tell in the glass) that each increase in proof. I was somewhere between 4 and 5 stars on my review because the bourbon was pretty expensive for what you get..but the bourbon flight I got was really good so I decided to round up. read more

I stopped by Boots & Bourbon for the first time during a networking event and only sampled their adult beverages. I really enjoyed the country-chic vibe, cowboy posters, hats, and saddles. You'd never guess this space used to be a World of Beer! The prickly pear martini was perfectly balanced, and the beer was ice-cold. They also have an impressive bourbon selection (true to the name) and even rosé on tap. Sadly, you have to bring your own boots, XD. The venue is spacious and perfect for large gatherings, with a gorgeous patio that's great for relaxing. Plus, it's bicycle-friendly, though the parking lot is heavily secured. Boots & Bourbon is a welcome addition to Greensboro's Westridge area, and I'm looking forward to coming back to try the food. read more

Never going back! Fraudulent charge on our credit card! We really wanted to love Boots and Bourbon, but unfortunately our experience was extremely disappointing. We were a party of six and were there for quite a long time. The service was poor from start to finish. Our server never cleared our plates after we finished eating, and we waited about 15 minutes every single time we needed a drink refill. Two of our food orders came out incorrect, and despite bringing it to their attention, they were never properly fixed. The food itself wasn't great, and overall the servers could definitely use more training. Management also needs to consider hiring more staff because it felt very understaffed and disorganized. The most upsetting part, however, happened after we left. One of the credit cards used at the restaurant -- which was a brand new card and had never been used anywhere else -- had an unauthorized $500 online purchase the very next day at Lowe's in Wilkesboro. We had to immediately shut the card off and deal with the fraud report. That was incredibly stressful and unacceptable. Yelp is asking for a review regarding the ambience and my advice is, ditch the blue LED lighting. It needs to have a warmer atmosphere. It felt like I was in an operating room or something. Very cold blue lighting is not the vibe for a restaurant. That was actually my least favorite part to be honest. Between the terrible service, incorrect food, long waits, and most importantly, the extremely concerning credit card issue, we will absolutely NEVER be back. read more

It's a nice little southern vibe, brand new and apparently they have karaoke, trivia, line dancing nights, etc. I ordered an Old Fashioned and my girlfriend ordered a Prickly Pear Paloma, both delicious! Another 20 to get ONE of the drinks. Another 10 to get the other drink. Then 25 mins after that for the app to come. So over an hour to get two beers and two apps.
