Large Italian sub with fries. Damn good.

This is a small hole-in-the-wall that has lunch only hours. Yeah, they could spruce it up a bit, but that's what gives this place its edge and keeps it honest. Please know that If you are able to visit, which I suggest you absolutely do, try the Italian Sandwich. This has to be one of the best Italian Subs I've ever had. It was beautiful, meaty, and delicious. My only complaint is there was no water available from the soda fountain machine.

If you haven't found this Cafe yet, you're missing a treat. The sandwiches are so flavorful and delicious. The fries are steaming hot and wonderful. Very clean and staff are so nice and helpful. Definitely recommend.

This is a old school carryout. You can eat in, but when you think of this place, think carryout. The food was the burgers and sandwiches we grew up eating. Crispy French fries. Nothing fancy. The service was fast and friendly. Every city has a great carryout. I think this is High Point's carryout.

Food was fresh & service was friendly !

Nice spot for a quick lunch break! Food was fresh & service was great. I would definitely recommend.

I drove by this place. While working and something about the building caught my eye. Not sure what it was because it is a plain square building without flourishes. Maybe the food gods were trying to get my attention? I parked in the makeshift parking lot and walked in. Inside, you are met by a counter where you make your order. The menu is a laminated piece of paper. A decent selection of diner style food at good prices. Once you place your order, you take a seat at any of the tables that look like they may have once sat in a 70s era kitchen. When your order is ready, they bring it to your table. On this occasion, I ordered a gyro with a side of fries. The gyro was the right size and had all the right flavors. While I was eating, I saw someone's BLT come out smelling absolutely delicious.

Great local sandwich shop. Locally-owned and operated. A hidden downtown gem. Walkable to Congdon Yards and Truist Point stadium.

Just like dining in, they don't skimp. They pack the sandwich and the to go box full, it was more than enough for a filling and healthy lunch. Their house dressing for the salad is fantastic, maybe some sort of deviation of thousand islands(?), tasty with just a little sweetness. Highly recommend for dine in or take out!

I stopped by a little before noon on a Friday to find the establishment very busy, a testament to Alexandria's loyal following. As much as I wanted to like this place, however, it just didn't strike me as anything special. Positives first: Alesha is a friendly and welcoming presence, and the staff here seem hard-working and personable. Though the menu is fairly limited, several items - a crostini and a spinach/hummus/red pepper/quinoa wrap - held appeal. I ultimately went with the day's special, an Italian sandwich. It took a while to arrive, but given how busy - and new - the bistro was, I'm inclined to cut them some slack. While the sandwich featured a good amount of meat, it was oddly sweet due to the choice of pepper. Banana peppers and a dash of oregano would have been a welcome remedy. Like a few of the other sandwich offerings, the Italian clocked in at $12 with a bag of chips included. Some of the salads reached ambitiously into the teens. I may need to give Bistro 1605 another shot after they are fully up to speed at their new location, but initial impressions suggest a place that will serve you neither a bad lunch (and there is something to be said for that consistency alone) nor a particularly memorable one.

There was seating available inside and outside and a DJ who was performing. Our server was a friendly young girl who gave us suggestions on drinks and checked on our table frequently. We sat outside and with the smoke from cigarettes and motorcycles with loud ass speakers, we didn't stay too long. This seemed like a mature crowd for us and we were looking for something more lively.

There was a DJ but he had not started yet. It was about 7pm on a Saturday and it was empty. But I don't mind that as it was still comfortable. I ordered the summertime which had moscato, peach schnapps and lemonade. Very light and refreshing. I look Forward to returning to try their menu, such as a gluten free pizza. They offer vegetarian pepperoni as well. There was an assortment of appetizers like mozzarella sticks and chicken wings and vegetable egg rolls. They also offer an assortment of deserts. Unfortunately the banana pudding was sold out - so stay tuned on that! There were many other cocktails and mixed drinks available and all reasonably priced under $10. My Summertime was $8.50. There was also wine and a few beers available as well. Overall, a lovely establishment.
