Man, talk about a hole in the wall. I pride myself on knowing High Point like the back of my hand having grown up there, but I truly never knew this place was here even though it apparently has been for quite some time. It's a little set back from the main thorughfare, but now with the food hall and other development happening nearby, I passed it a couple times and got curious about it, so finally stopped in. The building, the parking lot, everything about it is in serious need of a remodel. Curb appeal certainly limited, but I didn't feel that the inside was unclean in any way. Just very old and dated. Places like this often sneakily have some of the best food, so this didn't deter me. You order at the counter and they bring it out to you, get your own drinks, which really is about all I ever want in a sandwich shop. I had the club sandwich with fries. It came on nicely grilled bread with a decent amount of cold cuts, cheese, and bacon. They subbed in honey mustard to replace the mayo as I asked. It came with a HUGE order of fries! The fries were well done, maybe a little more cooked than most would prefer, but they were perfect for me. If I had eaten them all, I would have been very full. Flavor on everything was satisfying, nothing crazy, price was pretty good as well. Overall, I think I would come back here on occasion, for those times where you need "just a lunch" where it would serve me well. read more

Stopped in on a Friday afternoon with family due to being in the area. This restaurant is not usually on the radar due to weekday hours. I tried the Spinach pie w/Greek Salad. The spinach pie (spinach, celery, feta) is wrapped in phyllo dough like a burrito--not what I was expecting but quite tasty. The mega fries (fries topped with cheese & bacon (served with side of ranch), is a meal in itself. The chicken tenders were moist and crispy. The hamburger was standard fare and my daughter's go-to when we eat out. There was plenty of seating, the parking is a bit limited/precarious, but worth the trip. Due to location, it may be often overlooked as lunch option. They do offer daily special options. Recommend giving them a try. read more

This is a small hole-in-the-wall that has lunch only hours. Yeah, they could spruce it up a bit, but that's what gives this place its edge and keeps it honest. Please know that If you are able to visit, which I suggest you absolutely do, try the Italian Sandwich. This has to be one of the best Italian Subs I've ever had. It was beautiful, meaty, and delicious. My only complaint is there was no water available from the soda fountain machine. read more

Looked in yelp to find a local lunch spot while traveling on the highway. Such a surprise to fine this little gem. Loved the food. We both had the special, grilled chicken sandwich with fries. Everything was delicious. Surprised that the grilled chicken were prices instead of a chicken breast. It was so good. So easy to eat and so flavorful. The toasted roll was perfection! The menu was great. Lots of variety. Even Greek inspired choices! One of my favorite flavors. My sister ordered a crab cake sandwich on a really good bun. She said it was very good. I ordered a grilled chicken pita sandwich. This was authentic, freshly made pita! I've had the real stuff before and this one was not from a bakery or a bag. The chicken was flavored well and delicious. And it came with tzatziki sauce. I recommend this dish highly. Absolutely recommend going there! Great choice for lunch! Cheers! read more

I drove by this place. While working and something about the building caught my eye. Not sure what it was because it is a plain square building without flourishes. Maybe the food gods were trying to get my attention? I parked in the makeshift parking lot and walked in. Inside, you are met by a counter where you make your order. The menu is a laminated piece of paper. A decent selection of diner style food at good prices. Once you place your order, you take a seat at any of the tables that look like they may have once sat in a 70s era kitchen. When your order is ready, they bring it to your table. On this occasion, I ordered a gyro with a side of fries. The gyro was the right size and had all the right flavors. While I was eating, I saw someone's BLT come out smelling absolutely delicious. read more

I trusted you Yelpers with the reviews here as I found myself in downtown High Point at lunchtime. The order and pay at the counter service is fast and friendly. My California burger was perfectly seasoned and cooked. As a burger freak I have high expectations and this was a winner. I frequent this restaurant but no more. The staff refuses to wear face covers during these times, including the three in the kitchen. The cashier had one over her mouth but nose fully hanging out. The owner was in the kitchen as well is NO protection. Three Customers awaiting orders with no masks! In my opinion this signifies a blatant disregard for the health and well being of our community. One of our favorite places when we are in town for market. It gets crazy busy but the food is always fresh, quick, and delicious! The gyros are by far one of my favorites but just about everything we have had on the menu is awesome. I ate here for lunch on Friday and it was delicious. I had the chicken quesadilla which was surprisingly huge. The chicken was tender and tasted fresh. The tortilla was made perfectly with just the right amount of flakiness and crunch. It was accompanied with the perfect sized helpings of sour cream, salsa, lettuce, tomatoes, & jalapeños on the side. Nicely priced at $7.99. We were in town for a conference and read reviews which let us to this restaurant This place rocks. When we first got here they had two unexpected parties of 20, but they still accommodated us quickly. Owner was very present at all times and extremely nice. Food was beyond amazing. I was looking for a salad. They had a great variety. I chose the Mandarin edamame salad. It was delicious but also gave me an option for protein on top. (So many places think you have to put chicken on every salad.) My husband loved the bison burger. The Salted Caramel vanilla crunch cake was a dream!
