This is our go-to local spot to get chips+queso and margs. The drinks taste great and are generally a pretty heavy-pour. The queso is okay. It isn't particularly spicy but has a good cheesy flavor. Today was my first time at Cabo Grill in Archdale. I was invited there for my cousins birthday party. We had a large party of over 20 people and had no problem getting tables to all sit together. Our server was really great and helped us all have a great time. I ordered the Cabo Seafood and had enough to take home for at least two more meals! Also it was very delicious! Really enjoyed celebrating my birthday at Cabo Grill. The waitress was super friendly and helpful. I ordered ACP (Arroz con pollo) with added vegetables. It was a huge portion size for the cost. I ended up being home more than half of it. I will likely get 3 meals out of. The restaurant is well maintained, and parking was easy. My family and I seem to eat a lot of Mexican food. I love trying new places and new items and this is a gem hiding in plain sight. We usually eat here on Sundays for lunch (with no wait) and we love it. The lunch menu is well supplied with items. The prices aren't much different than other Mexican restaurants and on Sundays if you come with a church group (there's usually no less than 5 of us) you get a 20% discount. We've been there so much now that the wait staff looks for us and knows when someone is missing. Lol It's equipped with TV screens, pool tables, homemade ice cream and more. Two separate sitting areas and great staff. The restaurant itself supports autism and they have it on the menu with explanation and wear it on their shirts. Needless to say they have great attitudes and are always friendly. One other thing is that they aren't just a Mexican restaurant but they specialize in Seafood dishes. I've only tried their fish bites thus far but they were also delicious. I see a lot of shrimp cocktails being purchased at other tables and the oyster platter looks splendid. We eat at Cabo frequently! Usually on sundays after church. I like that they give everyone their own salsa cup, especially because my 3 year old doesn't like to share! The lunch Peluza is a family favorite--it's so tasty and the lunch portion is huge! My sister-in-law likes the chori dip, and it's quite good! My husband is the adventurous eater and has had the molcajete bowl. It's a huge serving of all types of meat and cactus in a black mortar. He loved it and wants to get it again. The place is always empty and for the price it should be amazing, but everything is just okay and lacks freshness and quality. $15 for three tacos with a little cilantro and onions and about 5oz of meat that may or may not depending on the day come with rice and beans. Cabo grill has a very fun atmosphere with food and drinks to complement your visit. Love music on certain nights. Daily special from taco Tuesday's to margarita Monday's, $2 beers, and so on. A handful of delicious margarita flavors to choose from as well. Perfect amount of mix and alcohol! The menu is very large, so if you don't know what you want.. it'll probably be a tough decision. I personally love any type of seafood, and Cabo Grill has that to fulfill your craving. Whatever your favorite dish is, they can make it just about any way you want. Cons: maybe it wasn't the season for oysters, but my half shucked oysters were small, and the ceviche they served on top didn't really come with much shrimp. Still good flavor. This place is not too bad. I came in here not super hungry but I did want to try some of their dishes. I got nachos mexicanos. Usually for an appetizer I'm expecting it to be huge just like some other places I have been but for some reason this one was much smaller. I would say this can be shared with two people. However, it was actually pretty good. I don't usually like beans but it had a good mix! My friends baby sisters got chicken fingers which looked almost exactly like fingers which was interesting. BUT hey the kids love it! This place is also pretty big so you can definitely have a birthday party or something here and it also has seafood! First impressions matter. I was in town on business, came in, used the boys room, no paper towels, no air dryer. Ew! Informed the staff, gave the benefit of the doubt. Ate and hung in the bar area, the food is actually not bad. In fact, they have a fairly decent seafood tilt for a mexican place. Very local, i.e. same crowd at the bar night after night. The house margarita I had was awful, good thing I usually order my own drink to spec. I ate here on more than one night, the food was consistent. What wasn't consistent was the service, very sporadic and left much to be desired. Good luck on getting the attention of the folks behind the bar from where you are seated. If you actually walk up to the bar, service is better. Is the dining experience any better outside of the bar, no idea. I do know that for the change that was dropped, the service was next to non-existent. Can one do better elsewhere? I'm all ears. read more

My kids brought tablets and couldn't log in with the passcode posted on the door. The server didn't seem to care to help, and was less than friendly the entire time we were there.
