What a fantastic and delicious deli! I have come here a few times before, but finally decided to write a review. In my past experiences, much like this one, I was met with a delicious sandwich. I have tried a few different items on the menu during my visits, and today I ordered the Reuben, which they prepare very well. The only criticism I have is that they are quite busy for lunch, so I recommend placing an order online or calling it in. Although it didn't take a super long time, it did take a bit to stand in line and wait, and then order my food. It was fine, and I didn't wait too long, but if you are strapped for time, you might want to consider calling your meal in advance. That being said, I was served quickly, and $14.50 for a sandwich, drink, and chips is pretty much the going rate these days, especially since they use high-quality Boar's Head products. I will be back, and I suggest you pay them a visit too!

The food was delicious, but the star of this joint was the last hour banter with Linda, the cashier. Funny and quick witted, she made quick work of the menu to direct me to some excellent choices for a late evening meal. Everything she recommended was delicious. To top it all off, the owner's son whipped me up a few of the classics after hearing my struggle selecting from the menu. A few minutes later, I had some corned beef, pastrami, and pork roll on a custom platter. It reminded me of home!

This little deli is serving delicious and well done subs, sandwiches, salads, wraps, all the sides are so fresh! I love how small and quaint and homey this deli offers. The staff are very friendly and have always pointed me in the right direction when it comes to their family style meals that you can take and bake. They also have a selection of sweet treats, dry goods from Italy and wonderful cheeses! I usually get the Italian but all of the sandwiches I have had were so fresh and seasoned very well! Highly recommend for a quick lunch!

This deli has been in High Point most of my life, yet I have not really been there since high school. It was in a different location then, across 68, from where it is now. They just recently moved to this new spot in the newer shopping center, and with this move plus a desire to try a new sandwich spot, I decided to give this oldie a try. First thing I noticed, the prices on the sandwiches are very fair. Most any sandwich you can think of is available, and they use Boar's Head meat. The Is bright and inviting, with high ceilings. There's a lot of seating both inside and outside. My first complaint however, is that inside they are using those terrible awful chairs that are solid metal, and poke in your hips at just the wrong places. In my opinion, these chairs should be outlawed. But there is no question that they will last forever, unfortunately. Really hate this trend. Next thing to know, your side selection here is going to be limited to cold salads and bag chips. While there's nothing necessarily wrong with that, the choices are fairly plain, and the pasta salad I had was extremely basic. I totally understand. Not wanting to deal with a fryer and grease, but would love it if the sides got a little more attention. Another thing to be aware of for southerners, there is no brew tea here. Just gold peak tea out of the fountain. Yuck. Looking toward the sandwich though, I got a club sandwich on ciabatta bread, and it was a pretty good version! The amount of meat in the sandwich was fair, and it actually had bacon on it as any good club should. All in all, it was a decent experience. But just doesn't compare to some of my favorite sandwich places around. I definitely think it could with a few small changes.

I enjoyed my lunch here. The perfect place to go when you're just inexplicably craving a deli sandwich. I ordered the Capra's Special - turkey and roast beef - with a side of potato salad. It came out pretty quick despite the restaurant being busy. I'll definitely be returning, maybe for takeout next time.

I enjoyed it here! I asked for the most popular sandwich& the cashier told me it was the Italian. So, I ordered the Italian. It had great flavor & I enjoyed the oil and vinegar, but still needed Mayo, especially after adding my bbq chips to the sandwich. My girlfriend had a club sandwich with no turkey and extra ham. Her sandwich was really good, and I think it would have been even better if it was warm but cold was still very tasty. The cashier was very helpful and was willing to answer any questions about the menu. The ambiance is very chill and enjoyable and makes for a great lunch spot, as it was not too busy and food comes out within 5-7 mins. There is parking all around the building so it was easy to get to, even though it is off of a busy road. Wanted baklava from the dessert cooler but it was dry,so maybe I caught them on a bad day. Either way, when I return I want to try their Italian cannolis. In their coolers there are also take home meals, which I thought was pretty cool. Overall, their deli was delicious and they were patient with a first timer like me.

A damn good sub! I was running a lunch errand and needed something quick so I tried a place near my whereabouts for the first time, Capra's Deli in High Point (@caprasdeli.com) This is an 8" roast beef and Swiss on toasted wheat with a bunch of veggies, mayo, oregano, and vinegar. And they actually put on extra vinegar without me even watching! It was so good. Very friendly and helpful server took my order and I was back in time to work, with my meal.

I have visited Capra's multiple times. They have incredible lasagna and eggplant parmesan (I take it home for family meals). Their reuben sandwich has gotten far inferior to what it was. They say it is Boar's Head meat. I beg to differ. My pastrami at Harris Teeter is not this fatty! I got, maybe 2 bits in, then I decided to toss it. I actually thought they put turkey in it. That was the FAT! Virtually disgusting

Dats what I'm talkin about! Their artichokes look so good. I can't stop thinking about them and am kicking myself in the pants for not getting some. Oh well, I guess that means I'll be forced to go back and get some. Ha! What I did get was the Italian Stallion sub and the Meatball Parm sub. First. Let's talk about the bread. FRESH and slightly crunchy on the outside, with the perfect amount of chewy, and pillowy yet dense on the inside. The BEST bread on a sub that I've found in NC. The Marinara on the sub is authentic Italian marinara with just the right amount of cheese, but those MEATBALLS...I've never had a meatball quite like theirs and they are homemade, delicious with the perfect seasonings. Yum! The Italian Stallion. Absolutely the BEST sandwich I think I've ever eaten. They don't skimp on the meat that's for sure and its QUALITY cold cuts all the way. And the best thing about getting food from here? Their prices. They have kept their prices on the lean side while still keeping their sandwiches fat. Love love love! So what ya gonna do about it? It was difficult to decide, but I think that if an Mexican restaurant can do great Al Pastor, they just are great! It was so yummy, flavorful and the texture just perfect! Put a little of that red HOT sauce on it and it's killer. And yes, I emphasized that for a reason. The red sauce is firey! The green is a good choice for some acidity, but not so hot. My friend ordered 6 tacos and they were delightful! Two of each of the pollo, chorizo, and al pastor. They come with onions, cilantro and lime but you can add other toppings for an added fee. They really don't need anything else, but feel free to indulge! I would definitely order from them again! It's a small space - a few tables inside and a few tables out - but don't let that or the line you are likely to encounter deter you. They crank out sandwiches quickly here. Said sandwiches include about two dozen hot and cold offerings as well as the ability to build your own. The meats are Boar's Head, but the desserts and soups are made fresh in-house. Check out the display case for salads and sides that might catch your eye. O'Brien's prides itself on its Reuben, and so I went with the "mini" version (a quarter rather than a half pound of meat) with a pickle for my first visit here. Ordering at the register was a breeze, and I was fortunate enough to snag one of the tables for dine-in. Though I was a bit skeptical that the Reuben would match the hype, it delivered. I don't know that it is without a doubt the best version I've had, but it is definitely up there. The grilled rye was nice and crisp, and I appreciated that they used both mustard and Russian dressing. That, plus the meat, kraut, and melty cheese, made for a very satisfying bite. At $10, the sandwich proved a good value, too. Unpretentious and nostalgically comforting (for Northern transplants, at least), O'Brien's is a well-oiled sandwich-slinging machine. Though that Reuben will be hard to top, I look forward to giving one of their other offerings (maybe a Cuban, maybe a Spicy Italian) a try.

When anyone asks me where to find the best reuben in Winston, I tell them go to the place that proudly proclaims in their window that they are "The Home of the Reuben" and can back it up... O'Briens! It's a small place, a few outdoor tables, and probably 6-8 inside. They do a lot of to-go business, for good reason. The lunch crowd will never shy away from a sandwich here... of which I have had several. But the reuben indeed stands alone. One of the keys to their success is a happy and engaged staff. The owner, Josh, realizes this and takes great care of them. He believes his success should also be theirs, and that is evident in their demeanor. On to the Reuben. Why is it so good? The pictures really say it all. Corned beef stacked high, with a good ratio of kraut, swiss cheese, deli mustard, and grilled Jewish rye bread. Visually impressive, leads perfectly into orally outstanding. You'll be full and happy, and wondering why you'd order it anywhere else. Not to mention, check them out around St. Patrick's day for traditional Irish stew!

Part of that is due to its proximity to area businesses although the friendliness of the folks working here certainly helps too. The same family that owned Jack's Corner near UNCG owns this place. In light of that and of how long they've been around, I really wanted to like Wallstreet Deli. Ultimately, I found it to be solid if not impressive. Though Wallstreet bills itself as a New York-style deli, it really isn't much of one, and if you head in expecting that experience, you'll leave disappointed. Approach it as a sandwich shop with some Mediterranean/Middle Eastern offerings, however, and it acquits itself much better. The menu features hot and cold sandwiches, burgers, salads, plus souvlakis, gyros, kababs, and falafel. I was craving a cheesesteak, and the steak and cheese combo with fries fit the bill nicely. Even after adding mushrooms (an upcharge), it still came out under $15 pre-tax. I took it to go and found it satisfying. The sandwich offered a decent amount of meat and plenty of flavor. The fries were OK - not as crisp as they could be but not underdone or undersalted - though I would probably skip them on a future visit. Wallstreet Deli is a fast, friendly, fairly tasty lunch option for anyone in the vicinity of the airport, but take proximity out of the equation, and you can find better Mediterranean and better sandwiches elsewhere in town.
