So many delicious looking pics on Yelp that I was torn between numerous lunch options. I chose the meatloaf sub. Meatloaf on a soft hoagie bun covered with melted cheese, and a side of onion rings. The rings were nice and crisp and actual rings, not the premade minced onions that some serve. I didn't care for the dipping sauce so, when I was able to catch another server, requested ketchup. The sandwich was delicious with the meatloaf nicely flavored. It included a pesto spread which I didn't care for but some might. I would have preferred a marinara base but everyone has their own taste. I'll add this to my return-to places as I'd really like to try their brisket grilled cheese and meatloaf bowl.

I went and read some of the reviews. I think its a case of grade inflation, peoples score they choose does not match their description of their experience. So this restaurant was not that far from our hotel and we wanted to get food and take it back to room and watch some more football on TV. There were no weird smells, just fryer grease and roasted chicken and pizza. My wife got an Italian sub, no ham, no cappacola, just salami and cheese (she's a toddler sometimes). What really sets it apart is the mozzarella cheese they use. It has good flavor and the right amount of saltiness. Our biggest complaint about most local pizzerias, is the tasteless, rubbery cheese they use. We have yet to try any of the toppings, since the plain cheese is so good. I noticed that several tables opened and were being cleaned. When the hostess came to seat me she was going to seat me at a four seat table even though I was alone. I said to her that there was a 2 seat table open. She looked at me and then said "Do you want to sit there?". I said yes, and that way you can seat a group with more people right away. She then took me to that 2 seat table. When the server came to take my drink order I also gave her my meal order and even pointed to it on the menu. It is a choice I have almost every week. The kitchen was slower than usual today and when my meal came it was missing the grits. How about that, a darn Yankee missing the grits. I believe the server should have noticed this and corrected it before I said something, but she didn't. When she brought the grits out, it must have been a new pan of them because they were very watery, like they hadn't been cooked long enough. I also had to ask for an extra napkin, which are normally provided without asking. One time while I was eating she asked if I wanted a refill on the coffee, which I did. Then as I was getting ready to leave she asked me again. I am making an assumption that this server was new, I haven't seen her before, and needs more mentoring and training. That points to the locations management to accomplish that. And today I didn't see a manager walking through the dining room during the hour I was there. And that could be the issue. I was in business for almost 60 years and learned early on that employee performance and customer service are management's top priorities. Approach it as a sandwich shop with some Mediterranean/Middle Eastern offerings, however, and it acquits itself much better. The menu features hot and cold sandwiches, burgers, salads, plus souvlakis, gyros, kababs, and falafel. I was craving a cheesesteak, and the steak and cheese combo with fries fit the bill nicely. Even after adding mushrooms (an upcharge), it still came out under $15 pre-tax. I took it to go and found it satisfying. The sandwich offered a decent amount of meat and plenty of flavor.
