we stopped in today after seeing some great photos of their food. We most certainly were not disappointed! Pizza, wings and spaghetti all got thumbs up! We are excited to visit again and try more of the menu. Bob, the owner I presume, stopped by to chat and check on us several times which I liked. The pizza crust was outstanding!

I was visiting High Point and I dined at Pizza Vino with my mother today, November 10th. When we got there it wasn't busy but after a while many people started to come in & I can understand why. I ordered a chicken Alfredo pizza and a side of fries, and it was quite tasty. I also am a big fan of cheerwine and was very delighted to know they offered it as an beverage option. Our waiter was a young woman name Natalie. She was very sweet, attentive & transparent with the delays occurring in the kitchen. I would definitely go here again next time i'm in town.

dear god where do i even start. so i called in for delivery and ordered an Eggplant Parmigiana SUB. I made it clear i wanted the SUB. GUESS WHO DIDNT GET A SUB? IT WAS ME. No what i got was a dish of spaghetti, marinara sauce, and after further examination, fried eggplant that probably shouldn't be served to anyone for the sake of their safety. so that's fun. it costed me $23.... TWENTY THREE DOLLARS. For me to get some soggy noodles, in an aluminum tin with 2 inches of LITERAL GREASE in the bottom, covered by some past expiration date eggplant and marinara sauce. the garlic bread i got is LITERALLY GREEN. GREEN. tell me what universe exists where garlic bread is supposed to have a green tint to it? there isn't one. it's also so soaked in grease that it looks like it's just been dipped in a bucket of melted butter and soaked for a few minutes. the person who took my order wasn't very attentive (obviously) because otherwise i would've overpaid for a mediocre sub. which was at least what i had planned. this meal is something you'd see coming out of an unmanaged restaurant from "Kitchen Nightmares". Gordon Ramsay would be ashamed and i am never going to take my chances with this place ever again.

    Barbecue chicken pizza is awesome!

We were seated after a fairly accurate 30 min wait. Table by the window, the place is well decorated and fun space to be in. We rushed to get our order in before the team of 40 players that sat down just before us. I got the French Onion soup, cheese bread and shrimp Alfredo with broccoli (on Kallie's recommendation). The soup was good but had a strong taste of Worcestershire sauce. Cheese bread was absolutely Fabulous!!!! Whipped ricotta under melted mozzarella and parm. Good Alfredo served with it. The Alfredo had a slight scorched flavor but the broccoli and shrimp were perfectly cooked. The pasta was a perfect al dente. I found myself reaching for the salt and pepper. More cheese would have been nice. I'll definitely come back for the cheese bread. And her Lasagna was outstanding!!!! I would drive an hour to find lasagna like that. All in all a good redemption from the "chicken Marsala" I ordered last time. We will be back.

We got there around 5:00 so it wasn't too busy but definitely filled up near the end of our meal! We appreciated getting bread and butter to start off our dining experience. Appetizers: we got Calamari and Gorgonzola Baked Scallops. The calamari was so delicious and I appreciated how it came with sweet and sour sauce and marinara! Neither of us really liked the Gorgonzola baked scallops.. unfortunately the Gorgonzola really overpowered the scallops. However, the mango salsa was really nice. Entrees: I got Frutti de Mare and it was really delicious! The seafood all tasted nice and fresh. The sauce kind of lacked flavor so I added a little salt and pepper which made it better. My fiance got the Seafood Alla Vodka which was really good and I think that's what I would get if we go back! Desserts: I got tiramisu and ate the entire thing even after a huge meal! It was so delicious. My fiance got crème brûlée which she said was good. Overall, it was a good dining experience.

I love when businesses really dive into their themes. The loaded fries were delicious. Including both solid (shredded cheddar) and liquid (white queso) cheese in one dish is a genius touch. I can't believe I've never thought to do that before. We paid to add fresh jalapeños to it, which added a nice fresh and spicy kick. Other than that, this was not a good experience. I did not enjoy the pizza, and the service was practically non-existent. Our server was nowhere to be found for the first 10 minutes or so, and then failed to bring drinks for several minutes after that. And it was not busy in there at all -- lots of open tables, and plenty of staff standing around. After delivering drinks and taking our order, he did not come back. We saw him walking around in other parts of the dining room, but he did not check on us. Several minutes after finishing our drinks, no refill in sight, we flagged him down and asked for a refill, which he brought. At this point, someone else had already delivered our food, and we were well into our meal. After bringing the one drink refill, we did not see him again until we asked for the check. The pizza was pretty dry, and did not come with vodka sauce as advertised. It was a red sauce not-so-thoroughly-mixed with Alfredo. I actually don't think they mixed them at all prior to putting it on the crust -- there were quite a few unmixed pockets, so I think they dolloped both on and swirled it around. I'm sure this does achieve a vodka-like flavor if executed correctly, but that was not the case here. Vodka sauce is typically silkier, more acidic, and far less sweet than this was. I didn't really like the red sauce at all here, and would definitely not order it (or their so-called vodka sauce) again. More salt/garlic would help, but I'd probably go with another base entirely, if I were to come back. In all, this is a great place to come if you're super into music, like appetizers, don't plan on eating pizza, and want to tip an aloof teenager for doing absolutely nothing.

The service is terrible, and the food is even worse. There was a flimsy "room" divider covering some boxes they have in the middle of the dining area, the divider fell on top of a person that was dining right next to our table. The gentleman was injured and the server barely apologized and proceeded to pick up the divider and place it back up despite it being on the way and clearly flimsy. I ordered spaghetti carbonara and added a side of grilled chicken. This was the worse carbonara I've ever had, it was more like an Alfredo gone wrong. It was drenched in a heavy creamy sauce, inedible. The chicken was as dry as the desert, overcooked and flavorless. Service was extremely slow, inattentive and unfriendly. Save yourself the headache, you will be better off at McDonald's for 1/10th of the price.

I…read moreactually grew up in High Point, but had never eaten inside the actual restaurant until a week ago. That said, I have had pizzas either by take-out or delivery several times over what has to be 30 years now. Lately, I had a couple basic pizzas from them at a function in downtown, and we also stopped in for lunch on a total whim, wanting a pizza buffet. First, the pizzas over the years. I would say, on par with most of the locally owned pizza and local franchise spots around, like an Elizabeth's. Sometimes, I would describe the pizza as dry, other times, the sauce ratio is a little better and it is quite good. The pizza is a solid 4 stars, I would say, if you're considering a pizza... go for it, decide for yourself. Now, our most recent experience inside the restaurant, was simply not a positive one. We came in around 1pm, wanting to do the pizza buffet. Unfortunately, looking at what was available, it just wasn't appealing. The pizza was very cold, it needed a refresh. We expressed this to the waitress. If she had said "we'll make you a fresh pizza of whichever type you want" we'd have been game. That's not the response we got, so we moved on to hot subs. I ordered the meatball sub, my wife ordered chicken parm. The meatball was, just ok. The meatballs themselves were sliced and warm, sauce was the same I was used to from the pizza, cheese could have used more time to melt, but overall... I was OK. Her sandwich, was not good at all. She did write her own review about it, and I happen to agree. It's generally expected that ordering a chicken parm sandwich at an italian pizzeria is going to be a breaded cutlet. What was given was the shaved chicken that you would normally see if someone orders chicken on a pizza (not my thing, but to each their own). The result was very very dry chicken. The sandwich sat on her plate with two bites taken out of it for the meal duration. No prompt was given for whether we enjoyed our meal. In all, I learned my lesson that day, that this place is good for a fresh pizza. I'll only go that route in the future. The sandwiches were simply not our preference. The chicken parm needs to be rethought, or better explained as shaved chicken.

Aside from the kind server and clean interior, this was a terrible experience. We wanted to go to…read moreanother restaurant's pizza buffet, but got there and saw that it was closed, and decided to try this one instead. We took one look at the pizza buffet and decided ordering a fresh sandwich would be better than the cold, unappealing slices sitting out. We were wrong. My partner ordered the meatball sub. It wasn't half-bad. Nothing stellar, but no real complaints. I ordered what was described as a "Chicken Parmesan" sub. What came out was dried, rotisserie chicken with a little bit of bland marinera sauce and mozzarella cheese that wasn't even fully melted. When I read "chicken parm," my assumption is that it's a breaded, fried chicken cutlet baked with marinera and cheese, then placed on a sub roll. Not whatever that was. So I really only had a few bites and couldn't bring myself to continue eating it. A person who appeared to be in management stopped by to ask if I wanted a box, and I kindly replied no thank you. I was somewhat expecting him to ask how the meal was since he clearly saw I didn't eat it. But nothing from him.
