I'm one for fresh and ready made pizza for the best experience. I'll honestly eat any pizza, but a fresh one straight from the oven is where it's at. Most pizza joints, including this one, make their pies and then sit them underneath a holding area, and reheat when ordered later in the day. I still absolutely love that pizza. When I showed up at opening on a weekday, the pies were just baked and completely fresh. Both the pepperoni and cheese slice were perfect. I love cold pizza, reheated pizza, next day for breakfast pizza, you name it. But there's something about a slice or pie that hits your plate as soon as it's baked. And I had to test the pizza a bit later in the day. Still what you'd expect from a solid pizza joint. The pies here are delicious, whether fresh, reheated or cold leftovers the next day. This will definitely be a stop when craving pizza in Winston.

Lightly breaded, crispy without being greasy, and paired well with the marinara and fresh lemon. 8 out 10 The mozzarella sticks were your classic late-night favorite -- crunchy on the outside with cheese in the middle. 8 out 10 Overall, this meal hit the spot. Perfect place to kick back, split a pizza, and snack on some appetizers with friends and family

It has all the things you look for in a NY style - specifically the crust is spot on: firm enough to support the pizza but without too much crunch and just a bit of chewiness. The lunch specials seem like good deals and the bar is very well stocked. This is a very good pizza-pub type of place where you can get some good food and good drinks.

They have great staff and really helped as my children had a no-nap, difficult, and stressful time behaving. We didn't know it at the time of our visit, but my youngest was about to have a lactose intolerant stomach upset from having ice cream at a friends house earlier in the day, and my poor girl screamed the whole time we were in the restaurant. Our waitress was SO nice and boxed up our food to go. All of the patrons probably thought I was the worst parent for letting my kid act that way, but she just couldn't tell me she felt so badly. I was embarrassed at the time but they're kids and you can't expect a 3 year old to behave all of the time, especially when they're sick. All of this was to say, I was so grateful for the staff at Sir Pizza for aiding us and helping me exit the premises quickly. The pizza here is delicious, but can be greasy. I love one or two slices paired with a junior chef salad to lighten it up a bit.

When we want pizza, I'm looking for authentic New York style or some brick oven baked charred crust. Vinnie's isn't either of these but it had great reviews from fellow yelpers so of course we needed to see it for ourselves. It was pretty crowded when we arrived but we didn't have to wait long before we were seated. Dominique our Server helped us decide what to order. She was awesome and fun and we could tell she loved her job and the food there. I love that! She highly recommended the garlic knots so we started with those. A surprizingly small eatery, has a separate dining area with booths and some tables. Our server was professional and kind, we ordered our drinks and a start with their version of Bruschetta. This was an excellent start for our evening there. A beautiful presentation of five pieces, nicely toasted with paper thin prosciutto de parma, fresh mozzarella, chopped tomato, capers and balsamic reduction drizzle. Delicious, rich, crunchy, sweet, savory and full flavored. I went for the Parmigiana with chicken, served over angel hair with a rich tomato sauce. A hearty meal, the chicken cutlet was breaded nicely, and pounded thin, cooked very well. The pasta underneath cooked al dante, and it all smoothered in a rich maranara. We also tried the Mediterranean pizza, a 12" and it was huge. A well made pie, loaded with ingredients.
