Visited this cool place for the first time this weekend. It was a busy place and a lot of locals there, which tells you they all love the place too. Even though it was really busy and we had a small wait to be seated with our party of 10, the food came out super fast after we ordered. They have great menu options. I had the lasagna which was really nicely prepared, but I could have easily gone for at least 10 other things on the menu. The one thing on the menu I wasn't sure of was the sides. They don't show side items with the main courses. The lasagna came with bread for the table, but I was thinking maybe a salad would have been great as an option to have included as a side. We have ordered pizza and italian food from here several times now as well as stopped in for lunch a few times. Looks like an old pizza hut interior from the 80s on the inside. Bricks and booths with round top windows. Service is consistent, kind and professional. The menu offers a variety of things for most tastes. When dining in we have tried several items, the portions are large to huge. Made fresh and served hot. Appetizers, the onion rings and the calamari are both solid choices. Each good in its own right. The calamari is cooked to near perfection each time. The Onion Ribbons, golden brown and piled high and more than enough to share with your table. The Turkey Club sando is a winner, a generous sandwich with fries, well made and tasty. As well the chicken tenders with fries is also a solid choice, breaded white meat chicken strips fried golden brown. Tender juicy and very tasty. Along with a mountain of fries. We have ordered pizza as well a few times, a small make your own is enough for two easily. The restaurant was clean and the staff were very friendly. Our server Kaylee was very nice and our food was delicious. We had a slight mix up on bone in vs bone out wings, but they worked quickly to resolve the issue and get the correct ones out to us. We haven't come here in a while but we met friends. The place is as good as ever. Lots of people on a Sunday afternoon. Server was friendly and efficient. Drinks arrived promptly and our pizza didn't take long at all. Perfectly baked, ample toppings and delicious. Didn't realize how long it had been since I had visited this spot. Years ago, well before Covid changed the buffet landscape, they offered a very, very nice pizza and salad bar buffet at a very reasonable price. Sadly it is no more! I went to try their Italian Sub, after realizing I'd never had it, always focused on the buffet. I ordered the Italian with a side of Onion Ribbons, priced at $11.99. This was a very nice 8" sub - good crusty roll well filled with meat, cheese, lettuce, and tomato - with a good amount of mayo, salt, pepper, and oregano. I am not sure why this place only has 3.5 stars. We went here for dinner tonight. We ordered two different pizzas. One was the house special and the other was a build your own. The build your own was Italian sausage and mushrooms. It was fantastic. The house special was really good also. We will be back for sure. The service was fantastic also. I grew up going to the Brick Oven Pizzeria but have not eaten there in over a decade so I decided to give it a try. The inside of the restaurant looks sleek and modern with plenty of TV's around if you wanted to watch a game there. I got the Philly Cheesesteak and was very pleasantly surprised. The cheese was nice and gooey, the vegetables were cooked well so they weren't too raw, and the steak had a great flavor. The bun was perfect and had just the right amount of softness and crunch. The signature fries were also delicious, they were seasoned with rosemary which is unique and slightly addicting. I did not have the pizza as my main meal, but I did have a couple slices of my partners pizza and I was unfortunately pretty disappointed. To start, the pizza is cooked in a pan, which gives it a uniform roundness, but severely limits the airiness in the crust. Second, while it is cooked in a brick oven, it is cooked with an electric element inside the oven, not a traditional wood fire you would typically see in a brick oven. This results in a pretty lackluster pizza because the element does not give off the same amount of heat to create any delicious chary or crispy bits. While they do take the pizza out of the pan and cook it for a couple minutes on the bricks, the pizza is still lacking. Overall I would happily come back to eat the Philly Cheesesteak, but I'd be skipping the pizza since Winston is lucky to have quite a few great options. read more

nutes ago New I will not be back after tonight. I saved all the ends of our pizza to dip in ranch. My husband and I shared a pizza. I went to eat the ends and there was a gray hair baked into the crust sticking out. The manager refused to take it off our bill. We frequent the restaurant and are regulars. Poor poor customer service whose management only cares about money and not regular customers. My husband said they laughed at him as he walked out and said to have a good night. Everyone can have an off night and I know I've had some good experiences here before. We'll definitely go back. We haven't been in quite a while so we chose the Brick Oven for dinner last night. It wasn't the best overall experience on this trip, but the food is still pretty good. We were seated quickly and the food came out quickly (the wrong and right food). The waitress seemed rushed the whole time. She told us early on she was having a rough day and then very little conversation after that. We split some chips and they were pretty good. Some were a lot crispier than others and they were the winners. My wife ordered a pizza and I ordered Korean bbq boneless wings. I ended up with teriyaki wings instead of KBBQ, but considering the evening I just settled in for those. They were pretty good. They accidentally brought my wife pasta first, but quickly returned with her pizza. Again, pretty good. This is totally a preference thing but I would have liked more cheese on the pizza. read more

This is my family's go-to dinner spot in Clemmons! Service is always friendly and quick with good conversation and plenty of patient recommendations for menu options. The ambiance has been updated to a sleeker, modern design and while I somewhat miss the old small-town vibe it's a very clean and well maintained establishment. No complaints! My first time eating here, it was meh is the best way I can describe it. Nothing horrible, but certainly not amazing. Pizza was good, flavors were good, the customer service wasn't the best (we ordered a pizza that have onions but in our mind since is you know pizza cooked in ovens that onions to be cooked and since I'm slightly allergic to raw onions couldn't eat it, my husband ate two slices and we asked if we could get a new one without onions, waitress was very nice about it but people on charge said no, there's was nothing they can do). Brick Oven Pizzeria is a solid and affordable option for pizza and wings in the Clemmons area. I have been a few times now for their lunch buffet during the week, and each time the salad bar has been fresh and plentiful and continuously re-stocked by the staff. They also do a good job keeping hot pizza on the buffet, even when the restaurant gets busy, as well as keeping the area clean. The pizza itself is not the greatest in the world, but its still very good, and there is a nice variety available to choose from on the buffet at lunch time. For the low cost, I think it's a great value, and it would be hard to ask for more. I have not been for a more traditional meal yet, but from what I understand the wings are quite good. This place will remain a part of my lunch-time rotation, even in the new year. I'll just load up a lot more on the salad bar! read more

This place was my sister's choice for a late lunch today. She likes it here and wanted the pizza buffet but we came too late. (It ends at 2pm) We ended up getting an order of mozz sticks and the "salad bar." Honestly, I debated on giving this place between 1 and 2 stars... The salad bar was AWFUL. Worst by far that I have ever encountered. Sad selection of salad fixings and for some reason everything was diced. Beets: tiny cubes. Cucumbers: tiny cubes. Tomato: tiny cubes. Onion: tiny cubes. Green peppers: tiny cubes. And SHREDDED lettuce. (The kind that usually goes on subs.) Very strange. It's not just that the toppings were all tiny cubes but they also looked old... Like, they were chopped days ago and were sitting in their own juices making them nice and soft and slimey. I (LUCKILY) ordered a "one trip" to the salad bar for like $3.50. I barely filled my plate. My sister ordered the all-you-can-eat salad bar and only went up once and thus, had to tell our server to change her order. The mozz sticks were- just ok. The description said "lightly breaded" but even my sister said "those did not seem LIGHTLY breaded." It was pretty thick and the dipping sauce was watery. I guess this isn't the place for salad... It is a pizza joint... And I'm eating low carb sooooo... My options here are limited. As for the service, well... She was friendly, I'll give her that. It was a little -unusual- for our server to be sitting, eating lunch in a booth near us and keep getting up (in between bites) to bring us our salad plates and mozz sticks. Now, I've been a waitress in the past, I'm pretty sure you are required to wash your hands after eating, before serving guests. Blah. A positive: At least I didn't get sick. "You still have to pay for the pizza" We went to The Brick Oven last night as we have so many nights before. The place was packed and was on a short wait. We were seated and our waitress came to the table. Didn't catch her name. Braids with I think green in them. Never had her wait on us before. We asked what ipas they had on draft. We were told they had Jade and Voodoo Ranger. Ordered a pitcher of Jade. We also put in an order for our normal. Medium vegetarian pizza sub banana peppers for the broccoli. We have put this order in many times with many different servers. She quickly told us in a snarky tone that it would be an upcharge because it was against the rules. We said that we never had a problem before, many times. She sort of laughed, insinuated we were lying, said they probably all got in trouble. On and on about how were wrong. Whatever then. No broccoli. Five minutes later she came back and said the Jade keg was "kicked". Would we like Bud LIght, Blue Moon, or Red Oak? No. What about the Ranger. She then said the gas lines for those two kegs were messed up. Would we like something else? I told her we would just go somewhere else instead. We stood up to leave and she then told us, and I still can't get over this, "You still have to pay for the pizza". The pizza that would not even be put in the oven for at least another half hour. Seriously? She was. I told her we would not. We walked out and she decided to follow us to the door. It was a bad night at the Brick Oven. The worst service we have ever had at any restaurant. We won't be back. Ever. You aren't the only pizza place in town. As I read the reviews before me, I see we aren't the only ones. read more
