Pizza is very good especially their specialty ones .. we ordered for take out and explained how we do not eat onions .. I repeated twice please we do not want onions .. in the classic Combo . I get home with the pizza one medium Classic Combo , With NO ONIONS ! However it was unfortunately covered in white onions on the top ! HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! We did try to pick thru the toppings but it was like alot of ONIONS ! Yuck !! I called and they said they were so sorry and would be happy to remake the pizza at another time . They close early during the week . So maybe next time they will read the order more thoroughly and take time to make the pizza the way it was ordered I hope .. She said ask for Tabitha or Mia when we ordered?? They aren't cheap this pizza was 25 bucks with nothing extra or any side . Wanted to try this since we were given some while buying a car at Capital Chevy in Lex. So glad we pulled the trigger, got the classic combo and a pep, both had a generous amount of topping, perfectly distributed across the pies, cooked so the crust and cheese had some nice brown areas but not dried out. My family and I visited today from Charlotte for the first time. We all enjoyed our pizza it was delicious. I have heard such great reviews from family and friends who have visited previously. The wings were the only thing that I'd probably pass on the next time. I prefer my wings a little crispier. I would love to try their taco pizza next go round. I went to the Godfathers Pizza in Lexington, NC yesterday. The lady working at the counter was rude and nasty. When I got my food, there was a hair in my monkey bread. The lady did not apologize nor was she as appalled as I was. She just said that she was out of dough for monkey bread and she recommended something else!! You already know - great cheese pull. The crust is different from any takeout pizza I've had. That truly sets Godfather's apart. Thick but not too think but it doesn't collapse under the weight of the toppings. For me a flavored crust would totally set it off. This pizza reheats well except the crust edge does get crunchy. However, the toppings are the majority of the real estate to it's not that much waste. Okay, Charlotte. I get why ya'll we're so hype about having a location. I went to the Lexington, NC spot. Super friendly service. The person who waited on me checked on my order with a smile. While I was waiting she brought my pizza to me then checked on others who were waiting or dining in. Ordered a pizza thru Door Dash tonight and it tasted bad. The toppings included hamburger and sausage, one of which was either bad or was past time for use. It obviously was precooked, as you must do for pizza toppings, but if you keep that precooked too long or precook meat that is going bad or is bad, it has a different smell and taste. My spouse and I both knew with the first bite. I called the store and spoke with a young lady who identified herself as the mgr, but really just said sorry and no one else complained. I told her I called for two reasons, she needed to dump the meat and to know if we got sick, we had reported it. But that did not seem to matter. Really, nothing seemed to matter. read more

we were in lexington and decided to try them out as we both have VERY fond memories of this brand from long ago. it was understated, counter ordering, plenty of seating (booths and tables), self serve fountain drinks. the staff was laid back and so friendly. each size (i think they offer five) has a number of slices for THAT size (small=6, med=8, large=10, etc) it didn't take long for the pie to arrive, crust was just right, they didn't skimp on the toppings and was even cooked in the middle. It's certainly more filling then any of the other chain brands. While this location is a nice 45min drive for us, i would try to work it in next time we're down that way. read more

My boyfriend has talked about Godfather's pizza for years. So we finally seen one on our travels and stopped. The pizza was huge! We have lots of left overs. We ordered a combination. It looked like a cheese, olive, and sausage pizza upon arrival. All the ingredients are hid under the cheese. I think it's to cover up the lack of ingredients. I never seen green peppers or onions on it. Had to pull it apart to find a pepperoni. Sauce was a great flavor. Crust was cooked good. Not over cooked. My whole problem lies with the bread sticks. One bite and I tasted cinnamon. They used same pan for Cinnabon's as they did for bread sticks. I'm allergic to Cinnamon. Come on people! How hard is it to keep your pans separate. Wow is all I can say!! This pizza parlor is a hidden gem. We came down today for our mom's birthday lunch. She has been looking forward to this for a while now and just raving about how good they were years ago and was super excited to try this newer place out. I honestly wasn't sure at first. I read reviews and some were great while others were disappointing. But after the first bite into my pizza, man oh man this is the best pizza hands down. They weren't skimpy on the toppings either so you are getting your money worth for flavor and portions. We ordered 2 jumbo pizzas, wings, and cinnamon monkey bread. First of all. I love Godfathers Pizza and get all nostalgic whenever there's one available because I have fond childhood memories of yummy pizza and summertime pool parties and such. Anyway, this is not one of those stories. On the way back home from a 5 hour road trip we were Yelping for a good cheat meal because we already had popcorn and pancakes today so what the hell. And behold a Godfather's Pizza! A freestanding one! A 4 out of 5 stars one! The GPS was effectively adjusted and off we were with slightly salivated enthusiasm to the restaurant. It's located in a strip and the parking lot was pretty empty. We walk inside and are immediately met with a handwritten note behind a bell that read "please ring for service." Um what? I look up and also notice that the sanitation score hidden behind a door on wood paneled wall is 88.5. Um WHAT?! So an employee comes out and asked what she can get for us and when I asked her why they have that low of a score, she said "oh I don't know. I wasn't here when they went through that." Second of all this is problematic. Not the fact that she wasn't there but the fact that no matter her role, she's an employee and should always know what is required of her to ensure food safety in her job. It doesn't matter if she did it or the person who got fired last week: deflecting is not the answer. I would have preferred (if she truly didn't know) that she at least ask someone. She didn't. And neither did she seem concerned. She told us we could look it up online. We were going to and we did. Right there in the parking lot. See attached picture. Also the place was dingy and filthy. While driving through Lexington I saw this place and realized that I had never been to a Godfather's Pizza. This place is a little unusual. You order at the front counter. They have a lot of options for pizza and pizza style desserts. The dining room is just a really big room with some tables in it. There was a party going on and the only table was in the empty part of the room on the far side. We got our drinks and sat down. Then a lady pops out of the kitchen with a pizza box and yells your order out. Raise your hand and she brings it to you. The pizza is pretty solid, but a bit pricey too. I give this experience a 2 out of 5. This place makes a good pizza but OMG I ordered a large combo with extra cheese and it was $26 something. When on the phone I thought I heard $20.60. Got home and this was no different than a regular combo. They have raised their prices excessively and in my case I didn't even get all that I (over)paid for. Horrible experience horrible food. Went in about 1:15 Friday was offered the "buffet" and ordered it. Salad bar was extremely small and out of a lot of items . The pizza bar had a few pizzas out but none fresh. The pasta was dried out. Finally at 1:45 a fresh pizza (1) bearing in mind more people are coming in for the "buffet". If you don't mind the religiosity, this is actually very good pizza. They also have some good monkey bread here. Service was very friendly, the dining area is very nice and spacious (I think we ended up being the only ones there despite lunchtime creeping up on a Saturday) and they have Cheerwine. My sister claims I had it before but I didn't so this was my first time. For NC, this is pretty good stuff and a far cry from the major national chains. We get takeout from here sometimes on the weekends and the pizza has been consistently good. We've really enjoyed their thin crust meat lovers and the supreme pan pizza. The wings have been hit or miss though. The last time we got them they were covered in so much sauce, they were too spicy and inedible without rinsing or wiping off the huge excess.
