I enjoy coming here for lunch and getting a slice. My lovely mother joined me on this faithful day for a lunch break. We elected to get slices, so we could get what we wanted on our own slices, and let me tell you, these are truly massive slices of pizza. I would have used one beside my face for reference, but did not want to lose my toppings! Haha! My mom got salami on her slice, and I got sausage and pepperoni. She claimed that her pizza was delicious, and mine was as well. We also ordered toasted Ravioli because my mother had never had them before, so we opted to try them. I have had them before, but never from here, and I was really impressed. They had a tremendous amount of cheese and crunch, and paired with the tangy marinara, they were excellent. I recommend coming here for a cheap and quick lunch during the week, they were busy, but my order was taken quickly, and my food came out fast, despite this being lunch and the restaurant being very busy! read more

Wow! This place is a favorite for me and my coworkers. We opt to order directly from the restaurant rather than Grubhub because the Grubhub inflation is real! But it's totally worth it to pick up because they have great daily specials! Tuesdays they have a Stromboli with three toppings special with a drink for $11.99. Or calzone with one topping for same price. I got the Stromboli and it was huge! Big enough for two meals. Super delicious and packed full of cheesy goodness. I also had a side of marinara and ranch. The ranch was GOOD. Tangy and flavorful. They also have a sub special with fries and a drink for $11.99. On Thursdays though, you can get two full size subs for $20! Wow! And there's so many sub choices. My favorite has been the chicken cheesesteak done Philly style: onions, peppers and cheese. See that packed full Sammy?????? Sooooo good. I have been purchasing pizza here for the last six months and meant to write a review of my experience. Each time I went, I noticed that the staff was interactive with customers of familiar faces. They were still friendly people, nonetheless. I have been to so many pizza spots here in the High Point/Greensboro, NC area; having relocated from up north, I was in search of a shop that offers NY Style Pizza. All the places I tried had some very disgusting pizzas that deserve the dumpster instead of someone's belly. Mario's Pizza certainly ended my pizza search, and they are the only place I will buy pizza from. It is delicious and the closest to the taste and quality I've known NY Style Pizza to be. When we moved here from Charlotte I was a little apprehensive that we wouldn't be able to find a good pizza/sub shop. We had a favorite from back home and I stumbled across Mario's in a google search. We decided to give it a try and I was so happy that we found this gem. The pizza is always delicious, just perfection. The cheesesteaks are some of the best I've ever had. The steak in them is perfectly seasoned, fresh toppings, and the folks that work here are so kind and polite. The place is always clean and everything is made to order. Never have I gotten anything even delivery that has been cold or stale. I thought I had a favorite place in Charlotte but Mario's in High Point has beaten that by a mile, and is the best local pizza, subs, etc. shop. I plan on being a longtime customer. Get the GIANT pizza! The crust is good; ingredients are good. Maybe not "stellar" but it IS "good", and offering the giant size pizza makes it fun if you need to feed a lot of people. I really am glad there is somewhere near me that offers a good NY-style slice. read more

Mario's was one of the places we decided to include in our family blind taste test. We ordered a standard pepperoni pizza. This one was my favorite, but got out voted by another. The cheese on their pizza was really good and the crust had a nice crunch. We ordered take out on a Friday night and the place was crazy busy. When I arrived to pick it up, there was a line to the door of people picking up their orders. This place is a local favorite for sure. We will be back. read more

I usually eat here and they usually have very good food. I loved there ranch, today we went to Mario's and I got what I usually did and as I was sitting down eating my fry's my mother noticed a GIANT ROACH on the wall. not some small little bug nope this was ATLEAST 2 inches big just crawling around on the wall, you best believe we where out of there as fast as light. They don't deliver, there food is good. But they use a 3rd party called zuppler that then contacts doordash to silver your food 2 hrs later. It is made sitting on a oven wateing on some one to pick up. When my house is 2 blocks away. I just don't want to go out in the rain. So I payed for Dilevery. I called the store asked for a manager there was none on staff. The girl behind the counter even told me she is new. They need to higher 1 driver even if just 1. They have lost my business because of this. And I will be reporting them to corporate as well as the better business burro. If you can't provide a service to the customer then you don't need to be in business and wast peoples time and money. Stop using 3 party people just higher a driver. Like everyone else. Marios is always good however this at location their pizza is sometimes pretty wet and floppy but if you ask to get it "well done" it's not as wet or soggy so that solves that problem. We ordered tonight and we got it through DoorDash the only other comment I might have is that the ranch dressing was very very watery. The salad however was good. We usually order from the Palladium Marios but we did a DoorDash tonight and that's the one that came from. I thought all Mario's would be the same but not totally! read more

OK pizza but the water policy is a bit off-putting. Not even from a cost perspective but because of the amount of unnecessary plastic trash it creates. I would recommend bringing your own, honestly. Their drink machine has water as an option so I'm not sure why this is such a big deal. We ordered a slice with ham & pineapple and it came out like this (see photo) with the extra toppings rolling around on top. Pretty bland and just meh. Really awesome food! Stopped here after a soccer game to grab some pizza but the other menu items look so appealing we decided to try something different. A lot more pricey than what yelp suggested, but the food was good. I got a salad my daughter got a small Italian sub combo and the total was $25. Seemed to be more of a $14 lunch. The other family I was with pretty much got the same thing but added mozzarella sticks and their total was over $30. Pretty large place but was fairly empty for being 1 PM on a Saturday. This is a new sister restaurant to the other Mario's locations in Greensboro. They serve pizza, calzone, stromboli, garlic knots, sandwiches, Spaghetti, meatballs, etc..... I highly recommend the New York style pizza. Its as good as your going to find outside of NYC. The pizza's are very large, the biggest is 24". They also make a "white" pizza I want to try sometime. Nothing that special about this pizza at all. It is cooked nicely and has a nice texture, but the sauce and cheese have little flavor. The pepperoni is okay, but nothing special. They don't give out cups of water. You're either going to have to pay for bottled water or stay parched. Pretty frustrating as it wasn't that I didn't want to pony up some cash for water but simply that I don't like buying plastic that I don't need. Went to sit down a little annoyed and found out that the restaurant only has Styrofoam cups. Also it seemed like the manager was kind of a jerk to the cooks in the back. Pizza gets 4 stars. Water policy gets negative stars. Apparently it is the policy of all Mario's pizza to not allow their "valued customers" access to the free and delicious agua that flows from the soft drink machines. Instead, customers are nickeled and dimed and required to purchase bottled water or a soft drink. Hey, I don't want your bottled water. The policy makes absolutely no sense which is why no other restaurant that I am aware of does this. The water issue has been derided numerous times on various review websites. Unfortunately, the owner lacks a sense of customer service and business acumen and this ridiculous policy continues on. On Friday, August 14, I ordered a 17 inch pizza (half mushroom and half pepperoni) and a 6 piece order of Buffalo Wings. I called it in at 6:00 PM and was told it would be ready in 25 to 30 minutes. I arrived at the High Point North Main location at 6:30. There was a line inside door and I was fourth waiting. The next thing I know, people were going to the right side of door to the front of the line and instead of asking who is next, they were being waited on. Some with call ins and some to order. I asked to speak to manager after a 15 minute wait to pick up. I expressed my concern about their lack of order and how people were being waited on long before others waiting in line. I felt like he wasn't really concerned. Then the fun really begins. My wife opened the pizza when I got home and all the mushrooms appeared to be dumped in the center and merged with each piece of pepperoni. She called back and asked to speak with manager. She was told she would have to call back, he was too busy. She explained to the person (male) on the phone the problem and wanted a credit / refund on the pizza. He replied we would have to return it. WHAT!!! That, in my opinion is terrible customer service. In my career, I've had manny opportunities with customer complaints and you never, ever make the person feel like their issues seem unimportant and ask them to take steps to correct themselves. If a person gets great service, they may tell one or two people. If they get terrible service, they tell 10. My wife's parents are home bound and enjoy Mario's Pizza. My wife picks up an order each week. You have lost our business forever. By the way, my wife is so angry, she is returning the pizza. And if I've learned anything in 36 years of marriage, it's DON'T MAKE MY WIFE MAD. She just got home after returning the pizza and the manager was still too busy to speak with her. She was helped by a young lady and she did a credit on the pizza and told my wife to keep the pizza. Why couldn't that have been handled with a phone call. And by the way, while my wife was waiting, she heard many people complaining. read more

We had a bad experience for the first time in the High Point main st location here in NC. An employee on break was playing her phone really loud while my husband and mother in law were having dinner on Sunday September 9. We asked the lady to please lower the volume and she walked away into the kitchen without giving an apology. A few minutes later a gentleman came form the kitchen asking if all was ok. My husband explained in English what happened and that all was ok at the end. I was not sure if the gentleman understood everything so I explained in Spanish since I am bilingual. I love Mario's however my last few experiences here have been terrible. I ordered a Steak sub NO CHEESE bc I'm allergic to dairy products and they put cheese on my sub every single time. This last one I repeated 4 times not to put cheese on my sub and they still made it incorrect. I understand that mistakes happen but you really have to be attentive to your customers and not try and rush them on the phone. I would love to continue to give them business but I can't risk hovering over the toilet for 30 minutes all bc my order was not done correctly. And before you say, "you should've checked your sub." Trust me I did but I thought it was just mayo and not cheese. I called back to speak to the manager and so far they are up to three free meals for me. Smh read more

I really love the white pizza here--it reminds me of sitting in Jersey ordering from Vinni at the local pizza place. Slices are huge, and you can eat for as little as $6 for a slice and soda.
