Ordered online and received time to go pick up 3 pizzas... when i got there after the given time - because the last 2 times i got there right at the time they hadn't even started my order - they only had 2 of my pizzas ready and i was given the excuse that "online orders sometimes get messed up like that." I asked for a discount or something - anything - to compensate for me having to wait for my pizza to be fully made and cooked and was told when the day was closed out the manager would be told and might possibly give me a credit...24 hours later, nothing has happened. Came back to our old favorite pizza place, Bill's Pizza on Randleman Road, Greensboro NC I ordered a side salad with homemade ranch dressing. It had lots of veggies and was very tasty. My husband and I ordered a small pizza half cheese and half was the Bill's Feast. It was delicious! Our waitress was attentive and we were well taken care of. This was my first time checking this place out. It doesn't have accommodate many inside due to short staffed. The manager was extremely nice and helpful. Small town pizza joint with a couple games. The pizza reminded me of my childhood because it had the chef boyardee look and taste. It was really good but if you're not a fan of grease you might need a napkin lol. We went to eat there tonight - requested a booth was told they had to "share" seating with each wait staff and was told we could be seated in the carpeted area and than the hostess proceeded to seat us at a tiny table in the middle of the floor vs a booth! The pizza was great, never have an issue with that. The service is normal for a busy restaurant which is good. The ambiance is just as it has been for a while good no change there. The real issue is every time I go on a Saturday night they never seem to have clean plates, and off you ever tried to eat there pizza off of a napkin power to you because it is a struggle!!! 2/5-2022 Went to bills pizza on Randleman rd to find the line out the door! Positive news is the pizza here a great! However after waiting 15 minutes to place an order , we decided to call Order in- 45 minute wait which was ok as we can go to Walmart and tractor supply to kill some time . Arrive back to Bills in 45 minutes to find the drive through pick up backed up- after 25-40 minutes later we received our pizzas! Not hot or even like warm- To any manager that can read this- figure out a method for pick ups that aren't waiting for cold pizza- very disappointed and plan to call manager to discuss further.it's of angry people ! read more

One of the best pizza joints ever. Saucy, greasy, thin crust and just plain delicious pizza ever. If you get the pepperoni it is chopped into small pieces and spread out over the delicious moist crust. Even though I no longer live in Greensboro, when I return TO VISIT Herb and Deena Williams it is one of two required stops. The first being Beef Burger (Biff burger) , see separate review. I have not eaten here in years due to moving away and was so looking forward to coming back. I have often referred to this place as the best pizza from previous visits before I left 20 years ago. I am not one to normally leave a bad review, but to say the pizza was terrible would be a gross understatement. It had a very "off" taste. We ate a couple pieces of the meat lovers pizza and threw the rest away. The waitress was very nice and checked on us often due to the time it took to complete our order. I so wanted to love this place. It checks all the boxes; small, quaint, independent shop. Been around a while. Local favorite. But boy was the pizza a let down. I can't ding the service; our waitress was fantastic - very friendly, fast and attentive. I can't ding the extras - we didn't get wings, but some went by to another table and they looked and smelled great. We got hot pretzels and beer cheese, both were excellent. They even have Coke products on the fountain; a big plus for me. So how did the pizza go so wrong? Wait...let me back up. I did not hate the pizza, OK? I ate a lot of it, and took the rest home with me and I ate that too. I'm not saying it was bad - I'm saying it was a disappointment given everything else. What would I change if I ran the place? I'd tweak the pizza recipe for sure. Toppings, especially in the meat department. They're using the very small "rabbit dropping" sausage, and a lot of it. The pepperoni is of the tiny cube variety. Neither is doing anything good for this pizza. The cheese - there's a lot of it, but it's of no real character. They'd do better using a little less of something more flavorful like a good provolone. The onions and peppers were actually prepared very well for toppings, cut quite small, which I like. The mushrooms however, were canned. Sauce and crust were both underwhelming. Another who will not even act as one to resolve and leaves out back door. A waitress much older than said manager had to step in when an escalating situation was made a joke of by an appointed manager. I ordered a large pizza pub special, large margarita pizza with extra tomatoes, french fried green beans and tossed salad for takeout but the sorry employee gave me a large Mediterranean pizza, large pizza pub special and tossed salad which price wise is $5.90 cheaper than what I paid for. I will not be returning here because employees are not competent enough to give you what you ordered and paid for. Totally a rip off! Poor customer service because only takes a second to make sure you give out what customer paid for. I didn't return it because I realized it was wrong after I left and that is just not sanitary to return it for the correct items I purchased. Hands down Bill's Pizza Pub is my favorite place for pizza. If you're looking for that NY Style pizza everyone flips out about, then don't come to Bills, NY Style doesn't live here. This is some of the most excellent tavern style pizza you'll find, super thin crust, cut into little square pieces. The best part are the pieces around the edge that get extra brown, fights have broken out over those outer brown pieces. As a kid we always went to the location on Battleground Ave or High Point Rd in Greensboro which were both closed long ago, now this is my outlet for my favorite pizza ever. Out in the middle of nowhere it's not a fancy place by no means, kinda looks like an old red barn & the inside is kinda drab & dated, but that's ok, I don't go for the scenery, however there is a newer location in Oak Ridge I haven't tried, this one just has that old traditional feel to it. The toppings on the pizzas are all diced into small pieces, even the pepperoni is the little cubed type, not the typical round, flat disc type. The Bill's Feast is my favorite, pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions, green peppers & cheese. The Taco Pizza is amazing also, thin crust with seasoned beef & cheese, topped with lettuce & tomato & packs of taco sauce come with it on the side, sour cream is extra. Bill's also has one of the best steak & cheese subs I've ever had & I love the hot wings too, they are unbreaded, tossed in a buffalo sauce with a little celery seed sprinkled in there. They do offer pan pizza, I'd pass on that though, I tried it once & it wasn't great, the superstar is the regular thin crust. This is my second wonderful visit this month. The first was 'dine-in' with visiting family. The Taco Pizza was super yummy with leftovers and the small salad for me was also large enough for two. Today I returned for Take-Out with a wonderful small pizza (for myself, although there was enough to share) and I added 3 toppings. The toppings are perfect and the size of pieces are easy to eat and cover the entire pizza slice, which was more square and nicely cut. Again, very generous portions. I wanted a salad that would give me enough for another lunch and they halved it into separate containers. Very thoughtful!! Heather took my order perfectly, and I appreciate her suggestions and Jackson was at the drive-up window making 'pickup nice and easy'. We will definitely return again! read more

This is one of my favorite pizza restaurants. The pizza is amazing. They are very generous with the toppings. The salad is okay. It would be better if there was a little less lettuce and more carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, etc. I have never had anything other than pizza and salad; however, several had sandwiches and one had spaghetti. They all looked delicious and were according to the comments. Tonight I was there with a group. The service was not very good. The waitress was either new or something was bothering her. I love Bill's. I have been eating their pizza since they delivered to the UNCG campus in the 70s from the High Point Road location. They cut the pizza into squares and it is great. They also make a junior Chef's salad that is fantastic!!! The only reason I give them 4 stars instead on 5 is that the dining room adjacent to the kitchen is always way too hot in the spring summer and fall months. Uncomfortably so. This is a place near my home. My husband and I use to go or get take out there a lot when our children were young and it was pretty good. However over the last 5 years they have steadily gone down hill, so much so that we maybe only order from there twice a year in hopes that it has gotten better. We like to support local businesses. Tonight we ordered a pizza and a jr chef salad, with no cheese or onions (they use red onions). My son got home with the food and YET AGAIN the salad was wrong. I shouldn't be shocked but I was. When you are going to have a family dinner it's super hard when someone has to drive back to the restaurant to get the order correct.
