Happ hour, anyone?
Josh W.

I haven't been to a hibachi place in years, mainly because I felt the ones I went to were just okay, until my lady wanted to bring me here. And honestly, this was the best hibachi experience I've ever had. The service was great, the food was very well cooked and filling, and our hibachi cook was pretty entertaining. We went on a Sunday afternoon to meet with a friend of my lady who's a big fan of the place. The place itself isn't huge, but has two main sections, one is for general dining with a bar area as well, and the other is the hibachi area. Their menu has lots of different options to choose from, including stir frys and specialty dishes and sushi. Of course, we were all about the hibachi. You can choose a single protein or get a combo for a little more. I opted for the steak and shrimp, my lady got the chicken and scallops, and her friend got the chicken and steak. Our hibachi master was excellent and definitely knew his stuff. He cooked all of our food perfectly and really put on a good show. If you're adventurous and a little daring (and legal drinking age), ask your hibachi master for a shot of saki... But be prepared to catch it in your mouth. I never thought I'd say this about any hibachi place, but this is now my favorite, and the price is very nice too. You absolutely will NOT leave here still hungry. I know I didn't!

My friend at work raves about this place. She dines in at least twice a month. Since they were open for lunch, me and my friends from work wanted to try it. I looked at the pricing for both lunch and dinner and they are much cheaper than most Hibachi restaurants. My friend also tells me they give you a good amount of food, especially the rice. The inside is very small but clean and open. There is a sushi bar and if you don't want Hibachi, there are tables for you to order from the menu. I opted for the Hibachi lunch combo. Fried rice with extra egg. Proteins- Scallops and Shrimp. You get a side salad (ginger dressing) and soup. You get veggies but I just wanted mushrooms. I wanted to pair a glass of sake with it. When our cook came out. He was so energetic and very friendly. Jay was entertaining and got our table yelling. Lots of flames so sit back and enjoy! If you volunteer, he will offer to squirt sake in your mouth. Which my friends picked me since I recently had a birthday. It was so much fun! He also threw fried egg and I had to catch it with my mouth. I caught the sake but not the egg. The food was amazing! He kept piling the rice and also gave me some steak and chicken! Everything was perfect. Only $26.00 dollars for all of that?! Definitely left a generous tip. What an awesome experience and I can't wait to take my Mr. here because I know he will enjoy it too! Highly recommend this restaurant, especially for hibachi and the price!

Went here for the first time for a Valentine's Day lunch with my husband. Service was pretty good, but we were disappointed with the food in general. The special dragon roll had a very sweet sauce over top (almost like teriyaki) and then we felt the shrimp and scallop combo was small, especially the amount of fried rice we got.

I would give this location a 9/10. The food was amazing but the vibes were off, very quiet restaurant despite being busy....maybe that was because everyone was enjoying their delicious food! I got the hibachi lunch (chicken fried rice with miso soup and the ginger salad). I will be coming back!

Good food and service! Fun for celebrations! Take out is good too! Tried to use a coupon from Yelp but it only gave us 4 minutes to use!

We stopped by after a visit to the Newtown Candy shop. We took some lobster roll kits and clam chowder home. They pride themselves on fresh seafood regularly flown in from around the world. Their pricing is double Jungle Jims and triple kroger. Can't say good or bad until we try the fresh fish. For example they have many types of Salmon from around the globe. $49.99 for Sea Bass is pricey for me. I think Halibut was $39.99 a pound and the salmon was $20-$30 a pound. They also make their own sides. The clam chowder had too many potatoes. On Friday and Saturday nights they cook a few meals out back in a small tent/room. Main items are Lobster Rolls and Fish n chips.

From fresh fish to chowder, crab cakes, Lobster rolls, sauces, pies, and much more, this is a place you have to visit! Oh. My. Gosh. SO so good…read more We started with the lavender lemonade mocktail -- which I absolutely added tequila to -- and it was smooth, refreshing, and dangerously delicious. 10/10 would order again exactly the same way. For appetizers, we got the whipped feta. Delicious, creamy, and perfect for sharing -- but fair warning: avoid the peppers if you're not into a little kick. They sneak up on you! My friend and I split the house salad and WOW. A complete showstopper. So fresh, the vinaigrette was bright and delightful, and those fresh bacon bits? Chef's kiss. It's rare that a house salad stands out like that, but this one absolutely did. Now let's talk about the prime rib. I typically do not like steak or prime rib... but our waitress recommended it as the best thing on the menu, and honestly the Yelp photos had already convinced me. When I tell you it was BOMB -- I mean it. So tender. So flavorful. Perfectly cooked. Paired with broccolini and mashed potatoes, it was a whole experience. To end the night, we shared the apple tart with cinnamon ice cream -- warm, sweet, comforting, and the perfect finish to an already amazing meal. Overall, this was a fantastic dining experience from start to finish. Great service, incredible food, and such a vibe. I cannot wait to come back.

Unfortunately, this visit was very different. The food was still very good--our fajitas were flavorful and enjoyable--but the service really took away from the experience. While we did eventually get what we asked for, it took quite a while for simple things like extra tortillas, and overall the service felt slow and inattentive. The atmosphere also felt a bit tense, which made it hard to relax and enjoy the meal. What stood out the most was the lack of basic interaction. My husband made a point to say "thank you, sir" when our food was brought out and even said "have a nice day" as we were leaving, but there was no response either time. At the end of the meal, what appeared to be a manager dropped the check on our table without saying a word and walked away, which felt abrupt and unwelcoming. It was disappointing, especially given how much we enjoyed our previous visit, but based on this experience we don't plan to return.

If Thai food in Cincinnati were a prize fight, this place would win by knockout in the first round…read morewhile the rest of the restaurants are still trying to find their gloves. Chris runs the place, and if kindness were a competitive sport his family would already have Olympic gold. Chris and his kids treat customers the way you wish every business in America still did..,,like you're a neighbor, not a transaction. You walk in hungry and leave feeling like you've been adopted. Now the food. The Thai dishes are the real deal, bright, balanced, and so good you start wondering if the chef has a secret tunnel to Bangkok. But the sushi? That's where things get suspicious. The fish is so fresh and high-quality it feels like the tuna signed a waiver before arriving. Their standards are higher than most politicians claim for themselves. The result: incredible Thai food, exemplary sushi, and a family running the place with genuine warmth. In a world full of chain restaurants that feel like airport terminals with menus, Chris and his crew built something rare, food that's excellent and people who are even better. Eat here once and you'll understand why regulars keep coming back. Eat here twice and you'll start wondering if you should just rent an apartment nearby. Cincinnati is lucky to have them. I also wanted to have my side be onion rings, but they said they couldn't make a side of those, so I ordered the appetizer of onion rings. Holy smokes the serving was HUGE!
