Second time coming to this location it's been awhile but I have been craving Pho and figured I'd stop by here since I am in the area. The place is clean and you are greeted right when you walk in. They have both take out and delivery I noticed on Yelp. They have an all gender bathroom, which I used and it is really clean. All menus are on the table so I believe you can just sit yourself anywhere and they will come take your order. The prices here are really reasonable I got 2 pho soups to go and a milk tea which came out to only $22. I can't complain about their prices, next time I want to try their pork chop dish it looks so good. It only took about 8 minites to get my food if that. The flavor in their soup is so good it hits the spot everytime especially on a cold day. I would definitely give this place a try, parking seems a little busy in this area due to the grocery store next to it. But it is well worth it. read more

The spring rolls didn't have any pork in it, and the lettuce definitely tasted old and dated. The beef wasn't good, either. It was kinda chewy and didn't really melt in the mouth. I was in the area and wanted to grab a quick "to go" meal. This place had 4* on Yelp so I thought I would give it a try. Ordered the following: Combination banh mi - had a good amount of meat + veggies balance - bread was fresh Shrimp spring roll - white carrots was included with orange carrots which threw off the taste for me. The peanut sauce was not peanut sauce, but tasted more like some hoisin version. Not authentic. Mango smoothie - very bland with almost no taste. Was not blended well so I could still taste little bits of ice in my drink. The older woman who took my order was very friendly and provided excellent service. However, inflation have affected the food quality: tons of noodles in the pho- barely any meat and smaller bits, bell pepper mixed with sambal sauce as filler giving it a brighter color, no sliced pork in my shrimp rolls with a relatively bland peanut sauce warmed from possibly long-term storage. Covid review below: After our usual Pho spot closed we haven't really felt the need to try a new place. Well a Pho (and Banh Mi) craving hit today and led us here. I'm happy to report that this place will definitely fill the void for us going forward. I ordered the #16 large combo beef soup along two Banh Mi sandwiches (grilled pork and grilled chicken). Overall the soup was good with a nice mix of beef balls, tendon, tripe and a few other ingredients. The broth was pretty flavorful and still piping hot when I went to pick up my order. I personally could use some more tendon and beef balls and will likely select a different option the next time I come by. The highlight of the order was the grilled pork Banh Mi. It came with all the typical fixings but also included a sweeter sauce that nicely complimented the pork. Overall I would say that for the money this place is a pretty solid value. The fact that they are close by, the staff was incredibly friendly and the food was ready on time (and still hot and fresh) are key elements that will bring me back! read more

Without a lot choices to get Pho (pronounced Fuh) in our area we sometimes visit Hello Pho. This was our first time here for takeout and they did a good job. We order our Pho without noodles and therefore we get gallons of broth and some meat of choice. There is always enough for a second meal and the broth is always bursting with flavor. My other go-to is their wings with chili sauce. I always order the sauce on the side. The wings are huge, crispy and with the addition of the sauce, full-of-flavor. We love coming here (have been a long time customer) because the owner is super friendly and he remembers us. Sometimes he stops at our table when we dine in to catch up. He always asks how our kids are doing which is nice. He knew my son since middle school and now he'll be off to college. The fried chicken wings are a must. Very crunchy, crispy and flavorful. And the sauce is addicting. When it's cold out I like to order the bbq pork and wonton noodle soup or pho tai. Pair it with some chicken wings and you're set. When I'm in the mood for noodles, my favorite is the grilled pork with vermicelli. Egg rolls used to be included but now they are an extra charge. Get them anyway. They are delicious! Prices are reasonable and the portions are filling. Since Hello Pho is located in the strip mall where FoodMaxx is there is plenty of parking. If you decide to dine in, the restaurant is nice and clean. Take out orders usually average 15 minutes. Just remember that they are closed on Wednesdays. read more

I really wanted to like Hello Pho, but unfortunately our visit was underwhelming. Came in with our family on Saturday and ordered a Small number #17: Sliced steak, flank and brisket pho ($8.25), an order of the Fresh spring rolls ($6.75), 2 grilled pork banh mi sandwiches ($5.25), a #41 Grilled pork and shrimp rice plate, a #43 Grilled pork chop rice plate ($10.75) added a fried egg (+$2), a #5 order of "Hello" fried chicken wings ($9.25), and 2 Thai iced teas with boba. ($4.25) The food came out really fast and not in a, "Wow, what lightning fast service!", but in under 5 minutes for most everything which means the majority of the food was already premade. The fresh spring rolls weren't fresh, the grilled pork in the banh mi sandwiches was lukewarm at best, although the bread was soft. The grilled pork chop looked delicious but was not marinated or seasoned. The "hello" chicken wings were crispy but dripping oil and also not seasoned at all. My husband ordered the pho and said it was pretty standard and has had better pho in SF. The one plate that was good and well seasoned was the #41- grilled pork pieces with shrimp; the only dish I didn't get a photo of bc it was initially missing the shrimp. The grilled pork pieces had a nice lemongrass flavor and was tasty, the shrimp though hot was also bland, which was really surprising. The Thai iced tea was okay but also tasted premade. Most often, when the tea is fresh you can see the condensed milk swirl into the orange of the tea when it's added in and these were already a uniform orange, also no boba as they had run out. Although service was friendly and the restaurant was clean and tidy, we likely won't return due to the majority of the food being cold, oily and unseasoned. Bummer. read more

Came here on New Year's Eve with my boyfriend and we were so glad that they were open! Nothing helps you feel better more than a hot soup-like dish when it's cold out.... although we must've ordered enough food for 4-5 people haha. We got two orders of the Fresh Spring Rolls with peanut dipping sauce, but substituted the shrimp for beef, Grilled Beef Bahn Mi sandwich, a combination beef pho(large), and a sliced steak and brisket pho(large). First off, the spring rolls were delicious and I loved that there was more inside of them than just noodles! They were loaded with herbs and a generous piece of beef and paired so well with the thick peanut sauce. They gave us a small complimentary dish of fish sauce for dipping too which was a new thing I had never tried before (I still prefer the peanut sauce but it was also yummy). Its honestly hard to find a good Bahn mi but these guys do it justice with plenty of pickled vegetables, herbs, good amount of meat on top of a freshly toasted french roll. Definitely would come back just for the sandwich! Now for the pho... I didnt try the combination beef soup but the one I had was really good and the plate that is overflowing with pho toppings was impressive! I have to say that the soup base kind of started off pretty mild but was better once I added all the garnishes and some garlic chili topping. The large (which isn't that much more expensive than the small) gives you enough for 2-3 meals! So many noodles and even after I became completely stuffed, it looked as if I hardly made a dent. Not gonna lie, I'm pretty stoked that I have leftovers. This place is kind of hidden in the Food Maxx parking lot but the food is great, the staff are very friendly and the place is clean. Beware guys... They were shut down for having cockroaches. Gross and disgusting. I am so disgusted with this place. I have visited this place a few times and I always had a gut feeling that this place was unsanitary. I even visited them a week before they were shut down where I had a banh Mai sandwich (not good) which I found a hair in. What makes me even more mad and disgusted is that the owners and staff knew they had cockroaches and still served food to customers with a smile on their face.
