    Greek salad
    Claudia P.

My hubby and I were looking for a healthy spot with keto options. This place did not disappoint. I tried a coconut curry soup and a Greek salad. The soup was delicious! Would definitely recommend! The salad was huge and fresh. The dressing could have used a little more flavor. My husband got a chicken Ceasar salad. He enjoyed it and would recommend it. He also liked the panini bread that came with my soup. A pleasant surprise was the drinks/teas had good flavor without the sugar. (I'd skip the jackfruit drink). The staff was friendly as well.

First time visiting, it was so good!! They had quick, friendly service, indoor seating & delicious sandwiches with reasonable prices. I really enjoyed the pesto sandwich with tri-tip & gluten free bread. It came with a salad (Caesar or garden). They also had soups, salads & drinks with free refills. I really liked the blueberry lemonade and the strawberry lemonade. They also had unsweetened teas (peach ginger, jackfruit, mango, cherry raspberry). Will definitely return to try more items on the menu.

If you are in the area this is worth a try. I like that they have Homeboy Industry snacks and I like the pricing of their sandwiches. I wish it was made on a better bread because the other sandwich spot nearby has great bread. Indeed it feels healthy and I'm usually not one to go out for healthy food but this might be the exception when in the area. Happy Munchies, aVeganAndHer

Blueberry lemonade smacks. Can't beat the price either . Chicken pesto sandwich was bomb. Everything tasted really fresh.

I got the southwest wrap for myself. With extra avocado of course! Kids under 9 eat free when you order something for yourself. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Are you ready to be skinny this summer?!

Service was so friendly, helpful and welcoming. So happy to find a quick and healthy bite to eat that is gluten free. They have gluten free bread for sandwiches which will probably try next week. Salad was good and clean. I tried their teas and homemade fruit lemonade, so good! The lady who helped me even came around and gave us a little chocolate after eating. Absolutely worth checking out! It's casual with plenty of inside and outside seating.

Healthy Eats (rebranded from Something Healthy Cafe) same menu and friendly smiles. Glad to see they kept the free kids meal (pbj or grilled cheese, with fruit or apple slices and chocolate milk)

Farmer sandwich with ahi tuna and side of greens, Italiano sandwich with Alaskan salmon and side of greens in the back

Loved the sandwiches here. Reasonably priced starting at $10.75 and add proteins for $2 if you want to. We added ahi tuna and Alaskan salmon to our sandwiches (the Farmer and the Italiano) and opted for side of greens with balsamic vinaigrette. So good! They also had vegan blueberry streusel bar which was also delicious. We will definitely drop by again if we are in the area.

They fixed the recipe of the salmon and remade me a new sandwich. It was very delicious. Salmon and avocado were very fresh. I'm glad we got this issue fixed!

It's not my first time here but the first time trying their coffee. Very clean and comfortable environment, staffs are super friendly. Felt so welcomed. I ordered the chai tea latte hot with almond milk. The taste is very smooth and decent. Really really enjoyed it!!

My boss mentioned this place to me last week and after looking it up on yelp I've been dying to try it! So when my hubby shows up to surprise me for lunch I knew exactly where I wanted to go! I'm so glad I did!!!! The best pesto sandwich I've had in such a long time! The price is AMZING!!! 10$ for a full sandwich and side! I've officially broken up with Panera, this will def be my go to lunch spot! The staff is friendly and have great recommendations! The restaurant itself is super inviting, clean, and peaceful! So glad I found this place!

Cool little lunch spot with some good healthy options. Parking lot is a little tough in a larger vehicle but you should be able to figure it out. I went with a pesto panini with turkey and it was perfect sando. Even came with a side salad and some chips. Plenty of flavor and you can never go wrong with a panini or pesto in my opinion. You can also get all their sandwich's as a wrap too. I'll definitely be coming back for lunch as it's a good meal for a good price. Staff was quick and helpful too.

Italiano Panini Sandwich $11.75 w/ Chips

Something Healthy in Monrovia definitely lives up to its name, offering a variety of fresh, flavorful, and yes, healthy options. I recently visited with two girlfriends of mine and we enjoyed 'something healthy' in more ways than one. What is great about this restaurant is that you can mix and match your perfect meal for just an affordable $11.50. Choose either half a sandwich + half a salad OR half a sandwich or half a salad w/ Soup. It's a great deal for indecisive foodies (like me) who want a little nibble of everything. Bonus points for including protein in this price, too! You just can't get a better deal in LA County. I ordered their Orange Walnut Salad, which was a hearty salad mix with all my faves: mandarin oranges, crunchy carrots, crispy wontons, and walnuts. I also asked to sub the spinach with romaine lettuce, because I love a crunchier salad leaf, and they were able to accommodate me. One of my girlfriends tried the Italiano Panini with their recommended tri-tip beef w/ a salad on the side and said it was also very good! Just look at those beautiful panini press marks :) It's true--from light salads to hearty paninis, Something Healthy has options for every kind of craving. The team members are also so friendly, and the restaurant's ambiance is bright and lively, which makes it a great spot to catch up with friends or grab a quick bite. Don't toss this deal aside--it's too good to pass up! Crispy, fresh, and worth every bite, I tell ya!

Everything on it? Why yes of course. Michael rattled off the ingredients and I said yes to everything. Put it all in there. OK the lie part... Michael asked whether my sandwich was for here or to go, and I said to go. Gulp. And there goes the lie. Now, technically, I did take it out of the shop and into my car. But when you tell someone you want it to go, that means you're going to take it home and eat it. And I couldn't wait. I just couldn't. So there I was, parked in front of the shop, unwrapping this overstuffed beautiful sandwich because come on, do you really think I can drive all the way back to Pasadena smelling the warm pastrami grinder without reaching over and fumbling with it? Dear Lord, I'll get in an accident. And I have no intention of telling my claims adjuster that I rear-ended someone on the 210 because of a sandwich. Now in my own defense, I only ate part of one half, and then I went home and finished that half. The grinder is just too big to consume all at once so I wrapped up the second half and that's lunch tomorrow. For the price of one sandwich, you're actually getting two meals. You can't beat that. OK anyway, another great eating experience. They've expanded the hours and frankly Monrovia's loss is Duarte's gain. Michael said his father Andy still gets to the shop at the crack of dawn and makes the bread. The bread is nothing short of a gift from heaven. Everything in this shop says made with family love, and we get to benefit. Every time I come here I have East Coast grinder flashbacks. It's really that good. Congratulations on the new location, and I wish you many years of continued success. And sorry about the lie, but it's sort of your fault. Next time? Gene's Special.
