Well...I made a reservation for 9 people at 4:30. Everything was going great until about 6:30. A couple of people had left and we were able to squeeze into 1 table leaving a 6 top table to do as they pleased. Shortly after we moved the managing partner named John Richardson asked us to move to the patio to accommodate a 12 person party. He said the party had grown to 12 people and they needed our table. I explained to him that we did not want to go out to the cold patio (46 degrees). He went on to attempt to justify his asking us to move outside by saying it was the holiday season and this party ended up having more people than they anticipated. I told him that we had made a reservation and we were not told there was a time limit on the table. We too were there celebrating the holidays with our company. He once again said they assumed that when you make a reservation that you would be gone in about 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours which is why he was asking us to move. There was an empty 6 top behind us too. So I asked why they couldn't use that too. He had no answer. He said we didn't have to leave and I said yes we do since we do not want to sit outside in the cold. I also told him that it was very rude and unprofessional to ask paying customers to give up their seat. He just shrugged his shoulders and apologized. We tried talking to another manager but we said the same thing. Bottom line is, a company celebrating the holidays means nothing to them if they see bigger dollar signs walking in. Came to Texas for corporate training. Went to Haywire. We were told 2 hour wait and decided to leave. We ran into Judd the general manager as he was cleaning up a spill. He introduced himself and said no one was leaving his restaurant without eating. He personally escorted our group up to a table. We are so happy we stayed. Amazing food, drinks and service. Wow. Made it for happy hour on a Friday and was greeted with smiles and gracious waves. Sat down at the second floor bar and served by Danny, one of the bar tenders, who was extremely courteous and excited for our business (despite the first words out of our mouth was happy hour). He gave personal recommendations and made sure we were taken care of all evening. He even corrected a mistake made by a peer who poured the wrong wine for a friend and credited the wine back (without asking). Went here for my birthday on the adorable boho rooftop seating! Great picture opportunities as well as appetizers. Even though the food is a bit pricey, everything tastes great! First of all, if you go here, get the cornbread! It is the best I've ever had. It's sweet and moist. I would say is close to a yellow cake but it's delicious! I could go here and order it by itself it's so good. I ordered the baby back ribs and the bones literally fall off the meat. My only complaint was that my ribs were kinda cold. Three of us at the table had ribs and they were all cold. Other than that, it had the right amount of seasoning. A bit tangy and spicy. It came with sauce on the side but it's not needed. Our service was outstanding. From the moment we walked into the door, we had help. We had a newborn with us so that came with a stroller and all the works. The staff were kind enough to let us leave the stroller with them. When the baby was crying, they even helped calm the baby! I would overall recommend this place. We went here for my birthday last night, and the service was incredible! We had a little bit of a wait after our reservation time, and as a result the manager (Brian) gave us appetizers on the house (he was even cautious to ask about food allergies- so thoughtful!). The elk tacos and fresh hummus were out of this world! This place continued to wow us as they brought out two extra tables to accommodate our large party. We didn't even have to ask for them, it was as if the manager and our server Lara were mind-readers. Lara made excellent recommendations, and we loved the spicy Mac 'n cheese, potatoes, and brussels Sprouts with our tomahawk Steak (cooked exactly the way we ordered it). Everything came out in a timely manner, from drinks, and apps, to our meals. In the short time that this restaurant has been around, they have mastered excellent customer service. This place is one my new local favorites! Has a similar menu to their other location the Ranch in Irving area. To start the crap dip is literally the best dip I've ever had. The fried green tomatoes, the chili and onion rings are soooo good! For dinner I really like their wagyu burger, in addition to the pork chop, ribs, meat loaf and chicken fried steak. For lunch their salads are always great options. Haven't tried the brunch yet, but have heard great things. For dessert the chocolate cake reminds of the cake my grandma used to make, I literally get it every time and it feeds a table. Also, the pecan pie is a must have too, its always tough picking between the two. Can't go wrong with the drinks, like I said this place has it all. Went out with friends and it was suggested that we go here. I had never been before had always walked by, but I won't be just walking by anymore. I had the ribs and even the gristle was falling apart it was so tender. I substituted fries for the Mac and cheese. The scenery was nice and the staff very hospitable. We had an amazing time and an outstanding meal. Our server, Brad, was the absolute best. He was attentive and hilarious and knew everything about the menu. We've always had excellent times here but I do feel the need to point him out, because he really put the cherry on top for me, my partner, and his mom visiting for the first time since the pandemic. I always get the garlic stuffed filet (it's PERFECT) and they shared the tomahawk, which was ridiculous. They know where every cut and every facet of your meal comes from because they source it local and they prepare it beautifully. The meat and cheese board, the cadi mac (11/10 always), the drinks, and the DESSERT. There are so many details to this meal that I can't describe without writing a paper. I was in Plano from out of town and my colleague said this place was great. We decided to give it a try and it was far from great. I told our server I had an avocado allergy and proceeded to order. We got the friend green tomatoes to start. They were brought out and I started eating them. She came after I was finished and said the sauce had avocado in it. She didn't apologize or even comp them from our bill - I was astounded. Thank goodness my allergy doesn't put me into anaphylactic shock. The service was terrible from start to finish and the food is nothing to write home about. Absolutely delicious! Went here for my birthday for lunch and had amazing service. Ordered the chipotle meatloaf shrimp and grits, and tacos. It was so good we came back for happy hour lol! Haywire has officially moved to my top spot for brunch hands down (& I've only been once). I've tried to go back a couple of times but both for Mother's Day/Father's Day & they changed their brunch to a buffet, which is not my jam. Either way, I was so impressed with haywire--even though it's on the other side of town for me--that I still can't wait to get back there. I went with girlfriends & told my husband it was a MUST! They had been before & knew just what to order. The fried green tomatoes, coffee cake in a can, cast iron biscuit, lump crab dip, Texas pecan brown butter pancakes (AMAAAAAAZING), & their chicken & waffles were all delightful. I was pregnant but definitely didn't eat all of that by myself. We shared it all & I'm so glad we did. If you haven't been, please go. Oh AND they had mimosa flights! Can't beat that. Pros: Pork Chop, Server Cons: Host Staff My wife works across the street and loves this place, so I was excited to try it. The food and our server did not disappoint! The pork chop was hands down the best I have ever had. The Cadi-Mac'n'Cheese with ham and Caesar salad were also really good. My wife also really enjoyed her meatloaf and wedge salad. Our server was great! He was very friendly and had plenty of solid recommendations. The only negative was the host staff upstairs. They were actually atrocious, and I considered leaving. Luckily, the rest of the experience made up for them being unaccommodating, walking away from us and leaving us in the dining room (twice), arguing with us, and powowing while not communicating to us where we were supposed to go after our table wasn't ready and we weren't satisfied with the location. In the end, the food, drinks, and our server made up for the inept host staff, and I would definitely come back for more... hopefully without the hostess issues. read more

First off this place is absolutely gorgeous. Three levels of flabbergasting beauty. This location is the one to go to, HANDS DOWN!!!! Oh and be sure to ask for Brad! We sat on the patio as he served us and everybody sitting on the patio as guests were just so friendly and nice. Food was delicious. Crab dip appetizer is a must! So good we had it for lunch and omg the bread pudding a with a sweat cream drizzle on top was so delicious that it's worth the carb ladies, and my boyfriend had it for breakfast with coffee. The highlight is the best smokey old fashioned you ever had!! I love old fashioneds, they are my absolutely favorite and not everybody gets it right and you haven't had a perfect smokey old fashioned to perfection until you have it here!!! I get them all over the nation being that I travel so often. You guys it gets better! If you go to the rooftop cigar bar, it's a gorgeous view, great customer service up there. We took our third round of those must have old fashioneds and sat back and relax at such a laid back environment where everybody up there was in such a great mood! I had to get one more of course! Nice 3 story restaurant with no access to the parking lot. You have to go around the block to enter on the ground floor . And Easter brunch buffet menu was average . Chaffing Dish were laid out on Bar Counter and too high and the bar area is too dark , it also needs better lighting to see what is in it. Several improvised area scattered around for bread etc. The only thing I good was the smoked salmon. The beef was too tough , not edible definitely not prime . It was crowded but service was good . One of my favorite restaurants in the area especially when the I'm hosting clients and anything business related. The service has been very inconsistent. That's why im giving 4 stars. I'm writing this due to my last server sucked and my wife told me to remember the names of the ones who take care of you and this won't happen again. He told us that they marble their steaks. Please explain to me how this happens. (This was a month ago maybe he was informed since then).You need to ask for Shane or Trent. The times I didn't have one of them the experience was just not up to par. This is a Preimer steakhouse with an excellent whiskey selection and overwhelming wine list. Shane sold us on the Hill country steak platter, Which is 2 Tomahawks 2 garlic fillets shrimp and crab with 6 sides a bottle of wine we got the Orin swift machete and house salads for the table. This experience was 10 out of 10. Yesterday my brother in law came in and he was blessed with Trent he got phenomenal service. Keep it up you Trent and Shane.
