Meh. Unfortunately nothing special here. At least not for me. Last stop before heading home and we were disappointed. Won't be back to this place and wouldn't recommend it to anybody. The food was pretty bland and they charged a dollar extra for a tiny cup (the couple is the same size used for the catch-up that comes with the fries) of brown gravy on a $19 dish. Should have just been free guys. The fries were good, I'll give them that but I can go to McDonald's or Wendy's fries. Oh well, win some lose some. This one was a loss in my book. read more

I truly wish I could give this place 5 stars, but they just need to work out a few kinks in their system. More specifically, their online wait list. I joined their waitlist around 8:30 on a Sunday morning. It was just my friend and I, so a party of two. We joined when we were on our way to the restaurant and were seventh in line. I refreshed the waitlist and was confused when we were now eighth in line - there was now a party of five before us when there used to be only parties of two ahead of us. I figured it wasn't that big of a deal so I didn't think too much about it. We arrived and were finally seventh in line again, but this is where it started going downhill. Long story short, my friend and I waited in their parking lot for close to an HOUR and we had only moved up TWO spots in line. We were afraid that if we joined too early, we would miss our table. I would've joined LONG BEFORE if I'd known it'd be like this. Anyway, I was getting a headache from sitting in the sun, so we decided to wait inside in the AC. We were in for a rude awakening when we walked in and there were several empty tables. I said to the hostess that we had been waiting on the list for about an hour and hadn't moved up much and is that normal, and SHE SEATS US IMMEDIATELY. Imagine how dumb we felt sitting outside in the parking lot waiting for a text that our table would be ready, when we should've walked in right when we got to the restaurant. Saying we were frustrated was an understatement. Anyway, we were seated and the place was definitely for young, hip people, as it was extremely loud inside (almost too loud) and the bloody mary bar was really unique. They have a ton of cool things on their menu, and when I saw protein pancakes, I knew I had to try those. Safe to say, whatever you get here will be massive. My friend ordered the breakfast tacos and the entire plate was lined with them (the plate was oval-shaped) and also topped with everything you can think of. I was shocked when I received four whole pancakes on my plate. Usually, it's two or three pancakes everywhere else. The stack was enormous, and the sliced banana and berries on top made it even taller. The pancakes themselves were thick and didn't taste protein-y at all. They were hot and dare I say melt in your mouth. My friend really enjoyed her tacos too. She said, "I don't even know where to begin with these," because her plate was filled to the brim! My friend also ordered the Bloody Mary in a bag (type A) and she really liked it too. She couldn't really taste the cilantro/lime that was supposed to be the central flavors in the type A version, but she still liked it nonetheless. The food was the best part of the experience. I'm giving this four stars because of that god-awful wait list, the obnoxious volume of the music, and our server not being attentive much. The food was very good. Im normally used to ordering on of the specialized French toast, but I decided today that I'll try something new. I'm glad I did because ‍ it was great. You could've gotten a 5 star, but my friend that I had brunch with didn't quite enjoy her meal. Pancakes and French toast are the same price when sold alone, she was interested in the basic breakfast, but wanted to substitute the pancakes for French toast. Why the heck is it a $6 up charge to change to something that is the same exact price?? Also, eggs looked, for lack of better words, a little "fake" as well which was a turn off for her meal. We have been here twice and both times the service was abysmal. I asked for decaf coffee, the server told me they do not offer decaf (it is on the menu). I'm sorry how stupid is that? I told her I am allergic to dairy so, please do not put any Queso Fresco on my Carnitas Hash and put the cream on the side (I would give it to my husband), she did have the cream on the side but there was cheese all over it. To continually send my meal back is very frustrating, I like to enjoy my meal with the other guests at my table, not eat alone. It is really too bad, their food is good. First time at Hash Kitchen. Impressed with the menu selection. Gets a bit noisy when busy but place is open and service is good. Had the Chilaquiles which consisted of corn tortilla chips simmered in green chili, pulled chicken, queso fresco, creama and two fried eggs. It was a very tasty and substantial dish. Chilaquiles require a balance. The tortilla chips are softened with the simmered chili, but you don't want them too soggy. Good balance here no complaints it was all good. Hash is a REALLY popular place, for this reason I recommend that you put your name on the waitlist early in the morning on the weekends. We ended up having to wait outside in the heat of summer for 90 minutes (since there isn't a waiting area inside. The staff was kind enough to provide a water dispense outside. Once inside you will be greeted to at least 5 bachelorette brunches and fun loud music (it can be difficult to have a conversation with others at your table, just a heads up). They have a great menu with so many different options-some vegetarian friendly options are listed. The speed of service is awesome, we got out food delivered super quickly and the staff were friendly. The concept of this restaurant (boozy brunch with a dj) has just validated that I am old. Though I think, even in my prime clubbing days, 10 am is too early to be getting that drinking and dancing vibe. Anyway, on to the restaurant: you walk in an the DIY Bloody Mary bar is to your right, along with a small host table. Very upbeat hostess, got seated right away (Weekday morning). Bar seating, tables and booth combos available. 2 tv's playing sports channels on the wall. Very hipster wallpaper like turntables and with musings like: "don't drink on an empty stomach" adorned their white walls. I honestly thought it was the aesthetic, not literally the atmosphere. Anyway,i should've known that once we sat and our table, glasses, and cups were dirty, as a red flag. But, we were here. We ordered a DIY scramble, cannoli donuts, a farmhouse burger, and chicken and waffles. The only drink was a latte. They do not sell bottled non-alcoholic drinks fyi. We get our food about 15 min after ordering. I open the utensils, and it's filthy (as pictured). Egg remnants adorn the silver tines of the fork. Lovely. Saw the busters replacing tableware and it's a bit unsanitary to put the utensils into the cups (just me). The eggs with the chicken and waffles were not cooked well so we asked for a new one. This did not come out until after the meal, and we were charged for it even though it was part of the meal. Chicken was dry. The farmhouse burger was standard. Messy to eat but not an issue with the restaurant. My scramble was not special (though their potatoes were good, albeit salty). It was also was runny in the middle, so be careful if you're pregnant or immunocompromised. Our entire party got a stomach ache within 30 min of eating, with 2/3 of the party having the runs. Consensus says $94 for brunch (without drinks and before tip, mind you) is absurd. I think the novelty is their bar, so if you don't drink Bloody Mary and don't like loud music, along with absent service, questionable food, and filth, would not recommend...We know we won't be back. read more

Long review alert.... We went here for the first time this morning celebrating a birthday. Great way to start the day might i add. There was complimentary valet & we were immediately seated. I've found my new spot to show all my friends who come visit Phoenix from out of town. This place, specifically on a Sunday morning while the DJ was playing, was lit! The music was on point - mostly 90s and 2000s pop and hip hop - and I was literally dancing in my seat for the entire meal. I ordered a fishbowl and avocado toast, both of which were delicious. I think the fishbowl could have been a tad stronger on the alcohol, and the plate for my toast could have been bigger (since my fried leeks fell all over the place while trying to cut this toast). If you aren't diving into day drinking there's coffee and other options as well. The food is great! We had the lox Benedict and chicken and waffle. Visiting from out of state. Driving to Sedona from Casa Grande and wanted a Bloody Mary. So a Yelp check revealed HKA with photos of outrageous Bloody Mary's and great food reviews. So we took the chance drove a bit out of our way and we hit our Pay Day. Place was electric and slammed. They close at 200pm we got in at 115pm. Everyone was very friendly right off the bat. Place was clean and servers well put together. Music was super loud so we asked to sit at the indoor bar which was good for us. They also have a small outdoor area to escape the noise if you want. Decor goes with the vibe of the restaurant. We ordered sides so we could Try several offerings and of course I got the build your own Bloody Mary. Many choices all for $14.00. A bit clumsy at first trying to skewer all the pickled goodies. Photo depicts my Success. Maple bacon best we have ever had. Food we very good. Poached eggs a bit over cooked so make sure if you order you confirm how you would Like Them. Pancakes, biscuits, and apple sausage all spot on. This is a definite spot to have brunch. Cocktails and Mimosa sampler looked amazing. Iced oat milk latte very tasty. One caution about the Bloody Mary.
