I'd like to give a shout out to the staff at this Hash Kitchen location! I stopped in for breakfast and sat at the bar. The bartender asked me what brought me in and I told him that my wife was at the hospital having an 8 hour brain surgery that morning and I was starving so I was going to eat and go back to the hospital. We chatted for a bit and then my food came. Everything was great and I reached fort my wallet and ask for the check. The bartender said "We took care of your bill this morning." I was a little stunned and he said, "You've got a lot on your plate this morning so hopefully this makes it a bit easier." This little gesture went a long way today. Really fun vibe, the staff was so kind and attentive. If you are hungover, avoid this place as the DJ is LOUD and the music is bumping but super fun in general. The Bloody Mary bar was to die for, I don't like them but this made me try again! The food was perfect, nothing special but really good and quality. The carnitas hash was fire! The Coca-Cola braised pork melted in my mouth. A perfectly stacked bite of the carnitas, over medium egg, avocado, and jalapeño pickled red onion gave me goose bumps and made my hair stand up on end. No exaggeration! Food snob by nature, but 10/10. Get some. read more

It's kinda hard to ignore Hash Kitchen considering one can hear it from down the road. They blast dance music louder than most Las Vegas nightclubs but the noise level is tolerable if you sit outside. The food is good but not great. It might just be an off day when my wife and I went. Hard to say. Overall, the food was lacking moisture. Everything we ordered could have used more sauce. So for them to earn 5 stars from me, they'd need to turn down the music and add more sauce to their dishes. read more

We shared: - Herb Fried Chicken Benedict - Banana Split French Toast I think the Benedict only came with one egg on it because my half didn't have any egg. That made it fairly dry because there was almost no sauce. The chicken was seasoned well. The French toast was good, but it was pretty bready because of how thick the bread was. Overall, the food was just ok for me, but the worst part about it was that it was basically a club. The music was so loud you could hear it down the block. Thankfully, they have outdoor seating or I would have left. Even outside, the music from inside was too loud. I was pleasantly surprised by the great service and excellent food here! This place is loud with a live DJ- we enjoyed the 2000s hip hop. The door/entry isn't the best as far as waiting and attempting to get your table, however we went Saturday morning so it was busy. We acutely didn't wait longer than 10ish mins past our res. time, which was nice. *When securing a reservation on line in advance- it pretty much means you'll be added to the waitlist once checked in; the hostesses are very nice and work hard to seat guests in a timely manner. The portions are big- I would think most entrees can be split between two people. The pineapple upside down pancakes were insanely big and delicious- would be great for a table share plate. Pork chop hash was very hearty with nice flavor and spice! They have a killer BYO bloody bar- I didn't take full advantage of it like I should have so will definitely go back for that again! My cousin listed HK as one of his Top 6 favorites during a recent visit for Spring Training and when I saw the menu and pics I knew we had to brunch here ASAP. Monica greeted us and took us to a nice outside table with our beloved schnoodle and the party started quick with a spicy, fairly strong and memorable Bloody Mary. For $4 more you can build your own and really trick it out but I knew I should pace myself. I got the Hangover Hash $19 slow chile-braised beef / jalapeño cornbread & potato hash / mozzarella / poached eggs / fried onion rings / demi hollandaise It was truly exceptional. One of the best brunches ever. On the level of Cali/Vegas staple "hash house a go go" as good if not better. I could only finish half. Can't wait for lunch leftovers later today :) I noticed some people talk about the vibe inside. On a Monday it was PACKED at noon. It was great that we got to sit outside. Definitely more relaxing. We will absolutely return and I already told my boys who are touring Scottsdale this weekend. Great work to to the HK team and thanks for a wonderful first experience! Stopped in with my friend today. We were looking forward to trying this spot as I've heard good things. The side of bacon I got was awesome although for three pieces they charged $7. I could have gone to Whole Foods and bought an entire pack of bacon for that but the pineapple upside down pancakes are gross. There were no cherries either. They tasted like wheat, if any flavor at all. I never get pancakes because they are really hit or miss and they missed HARD today. I took one bite and they were not good - I didn't eat them and was not charged for them. Presentation was nice but flavorless. The waitress was charming and the taste of the food wasn't her fault. It was too loud (good music, just too loud) and pretty overstimulating. My friend loved her barria hash but I'm disappointed I spent $36 at a loud "trendy" spot for nothing, sadly. read more

Update: fall 2023 I am usually such a Hash Kitchen advocate. When someone says brunch, I suggest Hash. When someone is looking for a brunch, i recommend Hash, etc. However, after my most recent visit, I think it's time to explore the multitude of other Brunch options Phoenix had to offer. As I've stated in other reviews, I often try to steer away from basics and try unique offerings or things I can't try everyday in Tucson. This is the first time it failed me. I got the Bling Bling Blintz and immediately regretted it when I saw it. The texture of the crepes was soft as you would expect but the flavor of the interior was not sweet enough to bring it together. I thought the strawberry portion would be mixed inside but instead served only as the tiniest bit of rescue for every bite I could throw back. This is a dish I honestly would have sent back as I don't feel they should be serving this, but I decided not to since I decided I was trying something new. I think the server knew too which is why she didn't even ask about it. It just wasn't good at all and seemed very low bar for this establishment. Just left here for a Sunday morning breakfast around 9am and it was just the worst experience in a restaurant ever. Our server, which I was unable to get the name of, was incredibly rude and off putting. He acted as if we were a joke & clearly showed us he didn't care. we confronted him and asked if we maybe did something to upset him and he just chuckled and said "no man ur all good". its like what? what's going on? And all we ordered was 2 lattes with 2 shots of khalua and he acted like that was so typical of us. when we ordered that he immediately walked away and just kept shaking his head to the staff. We almost left right then and there but thought that'd be rude so we stayed. but then his demeanor was so off putting towards us that We asked to checkout shortly after getting our coffee. i asked again in a state of shock and confusion what we did, he just walked away laughing while i was talking to him. We have never felt more uncomfortable before. Literally had to sit in the car and recap what just happened. we just had to pay $35 to feel insulted and get 2 coffees. absolutely terrible experience. terrible terrible. read more

Came late to brunch today around 12:30. We were seated within 15 minutes. There is a live dj! Servers were switched a few times but we were able to get our order placed. Everything on the menu has a super cute creative name and a lot of the drinks have cool glasses they come in. Very clean restaurant and poppin! Food: Biscuits and Gravy, very creamy and filling. We were not able to finish it all. The Breakfast potato tacos! This was so good I wasn't expecting the bold flavors of the green chili and the queen fresco to take it over the top.
