They serve authentic traditional Yemeni coffee alongside a great selection of specialty coffee drinks, and everything we tried was outstanding. The ambiance was warm, modern, and welcoming--perfect for both casual coffee runs and group gatherings. Our Choice Residential office came in with a large group of 30+ people, and the team handled it smoothly and professionally. Not an easy task, but they absolutely delivered. A special shout-out to Ahmed Ali, who was incredibly helpful, attentive, and made sure our group was well taken care of. Service like that truly makes a difference. I'll definitely be back and will be bringing my real estate team, The Cruz Group. If you're in Apex and appreciate great coffee, culture, and hospitality, Haraz Coffeehouse is a must-visit. They have simply not maintained the initial apparent quality people were excited for. While the voice of decor is great, it has not been maintained. Chairs are worn down, cushions are incredible stained, tables are heavily scraped and walls are super scuffed, paint is even flaking. At first it seems nice from a slight distance but as soon as you start paying attention to details the charm disappears. On top of this their prices are absurd. I know inflation and all, and while I won't start on their "fancy" drink prices (which in my opinion are still high), even their simple drinks like a single espresso shot or black coffee are just ridiculously high priced. The staff is friendly, but service is also quite slow for coffee and teas. While I won't not go, I would not go out of my way for this place. The only reason I still go is because it is still a kind of nice place to hang out and relax, maybe do some work or just hang out with friends as the location is very convenient. The drinks are hit or miss trip by trip. It's just very...meh..for me now. read more

It was husky, gingery, but not as caffeinated as I wanted, so not for people who need espresso shots to survive the day ;-) I'll be back soon for my favorite pistachio latte soon!! Our family of four came to this coffee shop on a whim one evening, looking for dessert and perhaps a coffee to pair. The ambiance was amazing, and quite lively on this weekday evening after dinner where we grabbed one of the last open tables in this rather spacious place. We tried their famous Haraz latte, which was a twist on a classic latte with spice, and it was amazing. We also paired it with a slice of one of their mango cheesecakes, also delicious. Unfortunately my son is allergic to tree nuts and there is a rather limited menu of desserts that he can try (most cakes have pistachios or something of that sort sprinkled on top). I found the food and drink delicious and the staff friendly! I ordered their popular pistachio latte (iced) and it was very good!! Highly recommend! I also ordered their dubai cake to take home. It was flavorful and had a lot of the pistachio filling. The place has a lot of seating. I love the decor as well. I also noticed they have drive thru! We tried the pistachio latte, which had a rich, nutty flavor and was really well made...but at $7.95, it felt overpriced for what you get. The iced mufawar was also very tasty and refreshing, though again, $7.50 makes it more of an occasional treat than a regular stop. That said, the location is super convenient, with easy parking and a drive through. If the prices were a bit more reasonable, this would be an easy 5 star spot. To be fair, this is our first time trying this style coffee so we have no frame of reference for how these things should taste. The Mulfawar did not taste anything like coffee and there was 1/2 inch of thick paste at the bottom of the cup. Unfortunately, this one went down the sink. The Pistachio latte was also not like anything I've had before. The pistachio is pasty. I'm not sure if it was the coffee, pistachio, or the combo, but it was not enjoyable. read more

This place has gorgeous Middle Eastern-inspired décor like intricate mashrabiya patterns, warm-toned lighting, and elegant acrylic accents. Plenty of seatings inside, and more limited seatings outside. The menu sounds really promising, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I went for a pistachio latte. Very unique and rich (milky) in flavor but I was not very used to. Tried the bee bites too, which looked beautiful (filled with cream cheese) but were drier and less flavorful than I expected. Will probably pick something different next time. Also, there is no background music which makes it an easy place to have a conversation with friends, especially with all the round tables. read more

We tried this coffee shop after dinner tonight and were pleasantly surprised. The inside decor is gorgeous and the coffee was amazing. Of course I had to have the pistachio latte, but my husband tried one of the traditional drinks. Sorry I forgot what it was called, but he loved it. It had cinnamon and ginger. This place will go to again. You should really try it. It was wonderful. I didn't give it five stars because they don't have decaf espresso and they don't carry nonfat milk. read more

I've tried the location in Charlotte, and had a great experience. Decided to stop by this one in Apex and check it out. Service was great, they have a plethora of options if you're a fan of Matcha drinks. I tried the lavender Matcha it's really good, Please keep in mind that the taste of Matcha is not what you're going to get at your typical Starbucks. It's a little bit more earthy so come with an open mind in regards to flavor. Definitely should check it out. And they have pretty good bakery treats. read more

Took my first visit and ordered the first item on the list via drive thru. The line wasn't long, one car waiting. I pull up and it took a while for the first greeting, and a while afterward for my drink to arrive. It was slow for what I thought it should be. The person was nice and the drink was delivered hot. I got the mufwar and while it's not my favorite thing in the world I'd like to go back and try something else. You understand that this restaurant is ethnic and with that flavors are going to different if you aren't accustomed to them. read more

Beautiful place, inside and out. They have a drive thru which is so convenient. Really good drinks, the Haraz latte is bomb and their matcha is wonderful too. If you get your coffee "for here" the presentation is so beautiful. Great service. Prices are similar to what you would pay at Starbucks so you may as well support this business instead. Grabbed some coffee and dessert here recently and enjoyed my experience. We came a little after lunchtime and it was pretty busy! The cashier was helpful and provided some good info on the pastries and other desserts. I was a little surprised by how expensive everything was - for example, a 16 oz latte was $7.50, and a slice of cake was $8! Definitely the most expensive latte and cake I've ever ordered from a coffee shop, but whatever - they were both tasty. Weirdly, my latte was much, much hotter than my wife's, which resulted in me burning myself after my wife told me that hers wasn't that hot :) After I waited for it to cool down, it was much better though. Heard that Haraz was open at the old awake Zone location on Olive Chapel Rd in Apex so stopped by to check it out. This is the first Haraz, a Yemeni coffeehouse franchise, to open in the Triangle. It was their soft opening but apparently the word got out since the coffeehouse was packed with groups of people. The interior is bright, cheerful & beautifully decorated. There's ample seating for both small & large groups. Service was efficient considering it was their soft open. Since it was in the evening, the dessert selection was somewhat limited. A We ordered the bee bites pastry, Harazi Mufawar & the mango pineapple smoothie to go. The Harazi Mufawar is a delicious hot coffee with a very forward cardamom flavor sweetened & with cream added. You have to really love cardamom since the spice is pretty strong. The mango pineapple smoothie is very good with strong mango flavor & not overly sweet. The bee bites is little balls of yeast dough stuffed with cheese the sprinkled with nigella seeds then baked together akin to monkey bread. It's served with a small container of honey for drizzling. It reminds me of yeast rolls since it wasn't at all sweetened but the honey made it just perfect. First of all, the coffee and sweets here are great. I do like the ambiance. They need to get their act together on cleanliness. Went this weekend and the floors were gross, table and chairs not cleared, not wiped down. Bathroom was disgusting. Other friends have said the same. Had an amazing experience at Haraz this evening! We stopped in for some after dinner coffee, I ordered a drink that was a little out of my comfort zone and I wasn't the biggest fan of it. The staff noticed that I hadn't had many sips of my drink and came over to ask if there was anything wrong, then offered to make me a different drink even though it was not their fault that I didn't enjoy my first drink. Stumbled upon this place when dropping my dog off to get her nails trimmed and so glad I did! The harazi mufawar is a coffee with cardamom with sweetened cream and is delicious! I will be back just for that! The Bee Bites were also really surprisingly tasty. The honey drizzle is the perfect balance of sweet with the savory bread/cheese combo and the seeds on top add a splash of flavor. Can't wait to try the other items on the menu!
