This is the best bakery in Cincinnati. Some of the most tasty cupcakes we ever had. The staff is very friendly and helpful. A must when in the areas. read more

I made a special trip to this place, as it had been recommended to me; and because my daughter, who was visiting on college break, is a vegan. The website looked great and we made plans to visit it today. Just to make sure of their hours, I checked again on their Facebook page, which indicated that they were open. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we learned that they were closed--the sign on the door read that they were on vacation until mid next week. We were disappointed and I was unhappy because I had made an effort to ensure that they were open. I sent a message to the company FB page, and the response to me was that they had left a message on their phone, and had also indicated their vacation closure on instagram and FB. Well, I don't use Instagram, I didn't call (because both their Facebook page and website said they were open), but I did send them a screenshot of their FB page showing that they were open. Again, she responded that the vacation closing was indicated somewhere on their FB page, but she didn't know how to change the hours on her main listing, and she added an "LOL". Well, I didn't really feel the "lol" after making the trip and loading up the parking meter. I also really didn't feel the "lol" after she decided to argue with me about notifying customers (I will say again, not on their website, nor in the hours area of their listing in FB). The fact that the response I received was indignant and argumentative is what prompted me to make this review. If the response had been something like, "sorry, you are right, it isn't on our website, but we hope you come visit us in the future" I would have been fine. I make this post because what happened today is indicative of poor customer service. Arguing with a customer who wanted to frequent your business (after an error on your company's behalf) is just not good business. It is a shame because I think the city needs more vegan options and we were hopeful for this place. After our communications, I doubt that we will try again. read more

So good! SO creative! Show your friends how delicious a vegan lifestyle can be. First time that I have had a quiche in many years. No need to support the cruel egg and dairy industries with this great little Cincinnati bakery. read more

Do not order a gluten-free cake. It is horrible. Even the frosting was gritty. The prices are exorbitant for what you get, especially since the cake was inedible. I am giving them 2 stars because I have not tried their regular baked goods. read more

I had the pleasure of stopping by Happy Chicks Bakery on the way down to Cincinnati this morning and could not be more pleased. I tried a chocolate pastry, a cinnamon roll, and bought 4 different cupcakes. As a person who is very dairy intolerant, this place was MY gourmet cupcake shop. And everything was perfect. I only wish they had more pastry options ready and available for purchase because I could have bought one of everything!!! read more

Horrible customer service! Added flavors to a specific cake should be disclosed during the ordering process and when someone is upset they should not be talked down to. read more

One of my favorite bakeries in the Tri-State and with their weirdly awesome flavor options, I will continue to buy our cakes, cookies (ohhhh the lavender cookies!!), cupcakes and more. Lots of gluten free options and satisfies the sweet tooth of any interested palate. They do traditional, don't get me wrong, but they aren't limited by it and that makes them earn my praise. Being a transplant with a well appreciated experience for the sweets, they do it all justice. read more

All vegan treats! I got there an hour before closing so almost all specials were gone. They had a wide assortment of cupcakes. We tried the bourbon one and cinnamon almond. Very good! read more

Happy Chicks Bakery - They had a special treat that was perfect for fall. Apple pastry with some caramel drizzle. - Bakeries Near Me - Cincinnati, Ohio

I visited here a while ago with some family and had a great experience. We all loved our food, the employees were super friendly, and I wanted to go back as soon as we left! I'd highly recommend this cute little spot and I'll certainly come back as soon as I can. read more

We found Happy Chicks at Park & Vine one Sunday morning for brunch. We had an amazing vegan coffee cake that would make you swear it wasn't vegan! I knew right then I had to use them for our upcoming baby shower cake. Needless to say, no one was disappointed. We had their Fruit Party cake with a mixed fruit center & almond icing. Your taste buds went wild with every bite! We will definitely use them again! read more

This place is my heaven. The Lavender Lemonade is my absolute FAVORITE. But everything is so good... the Greens sandwich is my favorite savory item and the fact that you can get delicious croissants any time of a day is a win-win situation... Not too mention.. it's WOMEN-OWNED and the staff is AWESOME!!! read more

I have tried almost everything on the lunch menu and loved all of them. Their croissants are insanely good - how are they vegan???? Yummy! Everything is delicious - everything! read more

Had brunch and cake here with group of 5. We only saw 3 other customers while there. Cake was delivered to table before dishes were cleared and cake plates had already been added to our small table. Complimentary water in fridge, but when I went to get new bottle for the table, staff came to my table and suspiciously eyed my San Pelligrino. I had paid for 2 cans at $1.50 per can and purchased quiche. Quiche had a good texture. Someone at our table requested knife to cut cake and was told to use the butter knife on the table. I had to return to the counter and request a serrated knife to cut the 3 inch cake. Cake was coconut curry which sort of tasted like pumpkin spice. Overall, cake wasn't that good and staff was not very welcoming. read more

I highly recommend checking out Happy Chicks Bakery. The staff is extremely friendly and informative, the prices are reasonable for the quality, and everything I have had from here has been delicious. The chocolate cake with rose frosting is for sure my favorite but you can't go wrong with anything! So good! read more

I stopped in while visiting Cincinnati because I needed to drown my traveler's woes in cupcakes. Happy Chick's didn't disappoint. The baked goods were fantastic. In addition the people working there were kind enough to take the time to give me the skinny on where a vegan should eat in town. So, good good and free advice! read more

Best vegan birthday cake EVER! Love this place! Great attitudes, extremely helpful and wonderful food.

I have purchased from Happy Chicks three times and been beyond thrilled every time. The first time was at Madeira Farmer's Market where I got some cookies and a cupcake. Delicious! So when Thanksgiving rolled around, I called up Happy Chicks for my pies. I got a spiced apple and a sweet potato persimmon. Now, I only got pie because people expect it, not because I like to eat them. But these pies were AH-MAZING. The crusts were the perfect balance of moist and crispy, the fillings were perfectly spiced, and the balance between crust and filling was spot on. To top it off, they were really pretty (and of course I didn't take pictures!). Happy Chicks even delivered my pies at no extra charge the day before Thanksgiving despite my offers to take it a day or two earlier to ease their delivery schedule. Today I went in to their new shop (congrats!) expecting the usual tastiness, and I was not disappointed. I was helped by one of the owners, who was wonderfully patient while I made my choices, and seemed genuinely thrilled to be helping me. I got quiche, a pesto croissant, and two cupcakes. Vegan quiche is no small feat, by Happy Chicks nails it! The crust is flaky but holds together, and is perfectly buttery. The filling is creamy, egg-y and seasoned just right. Next time I'll be smart and by a whole one rather than just a slice! The croissant was as good as (or better than) any non-vegan croissant I've had, with buttery delicious layers and a great pesto filling. The cupcakes are waiting patiently for me to get home :) Forget the vegan part, although it's a plus! If you want some of the best, most creative baked goods Cincinnati has to offer, go see the lovely people at Happy Chicks! read more

i'm a big fan! everything here is YUM and worth every penny. the service is excellent; everyone who works for HC is so kind and welcoming. i've made breakfast there my saturday morning ritual. couple of empanadas, some coffee, and i'm feeling way more human. go get some yummy treats from the lovely people at happy chicks. even if you're not vegan, you'll still be in love with their cupcakes and other sweets. read more

I was so excited to find a gluten free bakery for a friends shower. I ordered cupcakes and chunky monkey cookies. The girl I ordered from was very polite and helped answer all my questions. So customer service was not an issue at all. The price was outrageous for 1 dozen cupcakes and 1 dozen cookies, I paid over $60. Cupcakes were not very good and the cake was splitting in parts like it was over cooked. Cookies were not a hit, I was embarrassed because no one enjoyed them. I love to support small businesses and I'm really glad people enjoy this restaurant, but I would not recommend. read more

When visiting new locales I am always on the hunt for vegan places. Would definitely recommend this place. Great vibe, tasty food!

Cincinnati needs more vegan options and this is a great addition. Service was great, my sandwich was great, and I'll definitely head back!

Really wonderful little bakery and simple lunch counter. Very welcoming and friendly. Our little family had a lovely, low key brunch date there during the week and we were the only people inside for the majority of our time, apart from a couple pick-up orders. So I'm assuming they make the bulk of their sales on baked goods to go. read more

Ordered the Mojito cake for my friend's baby shower and it was great. The cake was the perfect balance of lime and mint, very refreshing. It was a huge hit, everyone came back for seconds. Thank you Happy Chicks you made the day! read more

I got a smash cake for my son's birthday and a dozen cupcakes from this bakery. The description of the smash cake online stated that they do not decorate the smash cake other than putting a number 1 on it. Much too my surprise when I opened the cake it was decorated in our nautical theme! The cake tasted great and our son loved it! The cupcakes were light and fluffy and full of flavor! I will definitely be going back to this bakery! read more

Happy Chicks did the most beautiful and delicious cake for my wedding! We didn't necessarily need a vegan cake (although our two vegan guests were thrilled) but of all the cakes we tried Happy Chicks was by far the best and the experience picking it was a lot of fun. read more

Best vegan cupcake in town! I love their ambience and all the vegan options they offer!

It's so great having a vegan bakery in Cincinnati. I ordered a vegan quiche for a brunch party I was hosting and it was absolutely amazing. I've had a few of there desserts too which are good, but I think their savory items are really where they shine. read more

If you are vegan, this is a best place to go. Excellent food and friendly service. I am not vegan but I love their food and the staff. LOVE happy chicks!!! I ordered a delicious bourbon apricot cake for my husband's birthday party yesterday and it was truly the hit of the party. I've ordered from them a few other times and they never disappoint. Highly recommended!! read more

A wonderful bakery run by welcoming and friendly women! I always visit with my gal pals when I'm in town because their cupcakes are so creative and yummy. Yesterday I tried their savory breakfast foods and was blown away. You have to get the "breakfast" option, it's a buttery and delicious biscuit with melty vegan cheese and tofu scramble. I love what they're doing and am so glad there's a bakery like this to support in Cincinnati! read more

I attended a kitchen basics class at Park + Vine with one of the owners. Afterward, a fellow classmate enticed me with one of HCB's cookies.. amazing! Shortly after I placed an order for 2 or 3 dozen cookies for a party at work. They are so easy and accommodating, and the cookies alone speak volumes. I look forward to trying many more products! read more

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. I work down the street and when I get a craving for sweets I tell my partner "be right back, gotta go get some Happy Chicks!" I usually get two or three items at a time because I can't get just one thing. I usually eat one of the things on the walk back to work because I can't wait to scarf it down! They have vegan croissants, too, which is one thing I definitely miss from my vegetarian days ;) I recently learned that they also have coffee, and I am addicted to that, so basically this place is dangerous for me! You should try the baked goods here even if you aren't vegan. They are always moist, creative, and flavorful. As my omnivore boyfriend says "it's also food!" Try it! read more

Love all the different cupcake flavors. I look forward to coming to this bakery everytime I'm in town

Loved the vibes! Yummy baked goods too. I ordered a chocolate cupcake with rose icing-delish!

Delish cupcakes, donuts, cookies! I love the vegan approach and everything tastes so good!! I want to eat baked goods from here everyday!

I love what Happy Chicks does and their contributions to the vegan community! I am not a fan of their baked goods, though, as they're overly sweet almost all of the time. great cakes and cookies are made by having just a tiny hint of savory to counterbalance the sweetness, vegan or not--please tweak your recipes to make them a little less painful to the teeth (they're that sweet)! otherwise, empanadas and quiches are to die for. read more

Finding good gluten-free desserts is always a challenge. My husband got my birthday cake at Happy Chicks and it was sooo good. They were very helpful in describing the flavors available in GF. When I go to weddings, I've started to bring my own cake dessert. I have a few weddings in the future and Happy Chicks will be my go-to place! read more

Delicious vegan food with the best brunch and bakery! Had "the Emily" which is a croissant with daiya cheese, red peppers, and some greens as well as the quiche. Both were amazing! Also had the lavender chocolate cupcake which was moist and flavorful. Can't wait to go back and try some more desserts! read more

I had two interactions with Happy Chicks. I question the truth of both words in the name. There was no happiness in either interaction. First was a phone call with no real help. I then drove to the bakery, which is hard to find with poor parking options. I wanted to order a birthday cake for my recent turned vegan 18 year old daughter. The staff was not pleasant. I wanted to order a cake with two different colored icing on top, so that I could cover myself in case she didn't like one of the flavors. They could not do it, as it was too complicated. I told them that wasn't very "happy". She was very brash, did not smile and was unpleasant. read more

Enjoyed the tasty empanadas. I normally snub baked doughnuts (which I typically consider mere muffins in a ring shape), but these were very, unexpectedly good: crispy, flaky, rich with a fantastic glaze covering them. Bought six different kinds of cupcakes...the kids were supremely satisfied and proclaimed them much better than Whole Foods' offerings. Will definitely be back again, to have lunch and those yummy doughnuts. read more
