My son's favorite place for galbitang. The mandu, steamed egg, and chicken wings are also a favorite. Sides are a nice touch and the owners are amazing. Parking is a breeze too.
I ordered the bulgogi beef and it was fantastic. The meat was tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly with that classic sweet and savory balance. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared, and the portions were satisfying. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout the visit. Food came out in a reasonable time and they made sure everything was taken care of without being intrusive. The restaurant had a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. It felt clean, welcoming, and like a nice place to sit down and enjoy a good meal. Overall, a great experience with excellent food, solid service, and a pleasant environment. Definitely a place I would come back to.
I thought the food here was going to taste really authentic since the restaurant vibe and owners all seem Korean. But the dishes here tasted a bit off. I always order tofu soup at Korean restaurants and I've never had one with jalapeños in it. The soup was also a bit too oily and overall flavor just didn't taste the best. Hopefully the owners can take note of this and improve the flavors and ingredients in this dish.
Took a quick trip to Reno with my family and we were all craving something warm and soft tofu soup was screaming our names. So glad we were able to find this spot! FOOD: We ordered the Cheese Tteokbokki and Beef Soon Tofu Stew. Both solid choices. The Cheese Tteokbokki I wish had more cheese though but it did come with fish cake and cabbage as well! The Beef Soon Tofu Stew honestly really hit the spot! Had the perfect ratio of all the ingredients - tofu, beef and vegetables. SERVICE: Our server was super friendly and our food came out fairly fast, which was a plus since we were all super hungry. PARKING: This place is located in a small plaza so the parking was super easy. AMBIANCE: Loved the cozy vibe that I got from this restaurant. Almost seemed like a hole in the wall place. Overall, I would definitely come back to try their other dishes! My family and I enjoyed our time here.
We haven't been here in a while. The banchans are really good - the kimchi and cucumbers. The chicken wings were quite good - not oily. Bulgogi was sliced thin and we almost finished the order. The kimchi fried rice was tasty and the sunnyside egg cooked perfectly. I wasn't that impressed with the black bean noodles. It was a small Order for $13.99 and when mixed together needed scissors to cut them and the Noodles all stuck together. The staff is really friendly.
Great food! Love the fresh kimchi! Galbi tang delicious! Kimchi pancake also yummy! Our go to Korean when at the casinos in Reno. Next door to a Koran market with lots of goodies!
Food taste was great. The Seafood ramen noodles was a little salty but noodles was cooked perfectly to my liking. They put a good amount of shrimp and clams and good portion. The short ribs taste great but the meat was chewy. Fried rice taste great but the meat was chewy. Service was awesome and the ambiance is nice and quiet.
The Auntie is so sweet and so accommodating! I took my uncle for out for lunch. This meal is perfect on a cold day. Great flavors and pleasant atmosphere. We walked in cold and hungry, we came out with warm heart and bellies full.
This place is absolutely an amazing stop for authentic and fresh Korean food. The quality and flavor of the spicy bulgogi was outstanding. The presentation on the sizzling cast iron plate was exciting and adds experience. The over all experience was unique and home like and honestly cozy. The service was great and attentive. The servers were very kind and welcoming. Overall i do recommend people check this place out.

Writing this review with mixed emotions. Recently, we had a yelp event here, and I was so amazed at the food. It reminded me of being in Korea. Home-cooked comfort food. Everything was perfect. I returned two days later because I was really craving the kimchi pancake. We decided to order some beef ribs (Galbi) to accompany th pancake to eat at home. The two dishes cost $44. What we ordered: Kimchi pancake Galbi dinner (rice and Banchan) The first thing I noticed was the kimchi pancake oil soaked and a bit mushy. It actually seemed like it was pre-cooked and just warmed up for us. It really was nothing like the first kimchi pancake I had on my previous visit. That was a a bit sad. The Galbi I thought was a bit expensive $28 however for an average size dish. It did taste quite delicious. The banchan (side dishes, that accompany Korean food) was fairly similar to my first visit. It included kimchi, broccoli with a slight sesame oil flavor, bean sprouts ( (Kongnamul Muchim, 콩나물무침) and spicy cucumber salad (Oi Muchim, 오이무침) I was really hoping for a stellar visit, but it was mediocre food at best for what I consider a bit pricey. I will definitely give it another shot, maybe ask them to make the kimchi pancake fresh. Because it was quite delicious my first visit and I'm still craving the texture and flavor. I would definitely order the Galbi If you don't mind the $28 price tag.
First time trying this small quiet family restuarant. We prefer AYCE KBB but wanted to give them a try for lunch which was pretty tasty. Galbi was ok and enjoyed Bulgogi. Small portions of Bonchon however you can request refills. Soda, beer, sake and wine also available. We just beat the lunch rush; about 4 more tables came in. Recommend check it out if you're in the area.

WORTH COMING BACK?: NO food: not very flavorful as korean food should be. Bulgogi was bland and lacked seasoning, and the tofu soup lacked the foundational soup base. Service: Quick service, they forgot the egg that came with the tofu soup. They didn't offer to ask if we needed anything. Ambiance: very mom & pop vibes, looks clean and organized. read more
Time for an update; I see from all my pictures that we still come here often. Quality/Quantity - Just left Lost Seoul Saloon in Virginia City and our guest wanted more authentic Korean food, so we drove her all the way here. Several cities away. Sparks does have the best Asian food, the best Korean food in the area. Seafood Pancake - Decent size, fried well. Could have used more sauce though. Also pre-sliced, thank you. Beef Soon Tofu Jjigae Soup - Good, more for our guest and my wife. I am just not that big of a soup drinker. Bulgogi - Piping hot. Again, a decent quantity. Two bowls of rice, more than enough for us as we are light eaters. Banchan - 6 different types, free refills, thank you. Atmosphere - A hard working family run business. You have done a great job with all your food pictures throughout the restaurant, both inside and outside. Open 5 days a week now from 11am or noon until 8pm or 8:30pm, closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Plenty of mall parking. Service - Good. Both the son and the young waitress were nice. Price - $60+ tip. Reasonably priced, especially for Korean food. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success for the last 9 years, and to the previous owner's success 10 years prior. We have been coming here since the previous owner. read more

Hana garden was very delicious. Sweet, savory , with a little spice. Just the right amount of spice. I've never been there before since I live on south end of town but would definitely go back for their dumpling soup, noodle soup, and a main entree. It was sit down family style which was nice and got everyone to chat with one another. It's a must try when you have a hankering' for Korean food. Family owned restaurant where they put it all in for their customers. Bravo. Well done Hana Garden!! Our menu tonight was yummy. Tteokbokki (Spicy Rice Cakes) - Classic and popular Korean street food that is known all around the world. Kimchi Pancake - A Korean staple that showcases the versatility and flavor of Kimchi. Spicy Pork Bulgogi - Spicy and delicious pork stir fried with vegetables that's always a fan favorite. Grilled Mackerel - Salty and flaky fish that has been prepared with care and love Japchae - Glass noodles with vegetables - A classic Korean dish that is sweet and savory. Dakgaejang - Spicy chicken soup with vegetables. One of our personal favorite soups that is flavorful and spicy. A great hangover cure! Looking for something new..well, new to me, and ran across Hana Garden in Sparks off of Sullivan. It's on the smaller side and not a place focused on ambiance, but on the bright side, they do focus on the food. There are happy hour items from food to drinks. From chicken ramen to goju, I could see myself stopping for happy hour to take advantage of the discounts available. I highly recommend the bulgogi, just loknat that picture and try not to drool. It was tender and seasoned perfectly. The fried dumplings were crispy on the outside and tender inside with great flavor. Service was great. They were kind and would check on us but not overbearing. Hana Garden is the place if you're craving moms and pops type of Korean food. Food: Their Grilled Mackarel and Jjamppong are a must try and are my favorite to order. Service: Great service. They checked on us a few times, refilled our drinks, and refilled our banchans (side dishes). Ambiance: Expect a casual dining experience. Nothing fancy. Walking in, this place is very clean, quaint and relaxing. The aromas coming from the kitchen are superb. We were immediately greeting by a middle aged gentleman who was very friendly and quick to take care of us. We ordered an appetizer, all of th yummy fixings, some soup and a beef dish. I prefer to do something form every aspect of the manuish when I try something new. When I tell you I ate more than I usually do, it is not an exaggeration! I darn near helped clear every dish. Everything was fresh and hot straight out of the kitchen. The broth was some of the best that I have had in town and the potstickers in my soup had a surprise hint of ginger to them. Giving them a very refreshing, different and delicous taste and texture. I can't wait to go back and try something else!!! read more
Hana Garden is a solid restaurant to choose when you're looking for Korean food in the area. It never disappoints me with the food quality and taste, and it has pretty good hours. It's a quaint mom and pop place in a quiet Sparks strip mall. I highly recommend the grilled mackerel and tofu soup combo. This is a classic Korean dish that I often ate during my childhood, and the rich and plentiful flavor stays the same every time I order it. I recently ordered the kimchi pancake, and a completely blew away my expectations! It's nothing special, but I find that restaurants often mess it up, requiring me to use soy sauce. This one didn't. The service is fairly quick. You often see yourself, and the employees quickly attend to water. My only complaint is that the food is a bit pricey. But even then, you spend $20-$40 on a meal here depending on what you order. Not too bad. read more
Came again a second time and boy my experience was a complete 180 from the first time. We tried more of their menu (bulgogi, fried chicken, seafood pancake, fried rice) along with the galbi, japchae, and tofu stew and it was so delicious!! Service was top notch even when we came closer to close So glad I came back again, I highly recommend this place! read more

This place is so good i love trying new things. I had jajangmyeon black bean noodles and tried soybean sprout stew which was super good.the stew was boiling with a hot pot. I love this place and Eddie their son is very helpful and friendly. read more

Food was yummy! I've ordered from here many times and always get the jajangmeon, but wanted to try something new. I got the grilled mackerel and soon tofu. This meal could feed 2 to 3 people easy. It is a whole fish filet and soon tofu. There was a ton of tofu and the fish was crispy and fried perfectly. There wasn't any seasoning on the fish, which paired nicely with the kimchi. The service is fast and they're always really friendly. I would definitely recommend Hana Garden. read more
Had the biggest craving for soft tofu stew so of course my bestie and I had to make stop at this restaurant! Hana Garden has been in Reno for as long as I could remember and they're one of the few places in town (at least compared to other big cities) that serves Korean cuisine. We were greeted by the friendly staff upon walk-in and were seated right away. My bestie and I went on a Thursday night and the restaurant was quite busy with a lot of customers - almost all the tables were filled! Our meal came out with Banchan (side dishes) as well as a bowl of rice for each person. Hana Thai Tea | 9/10, would get again Beef Soft Tofu Stew | 7.5/10 Corn Cheese | 5/10, the portion was very small for its price so we were pretty disappointed :( Fried Chicken Wings | 7/10, wings were a bit bland Hana Milk Tea | 7/10 There was only one server helping out all the tables so he was very busy and on his feet the entire time but he was also very friendly and we appreciated his service! Unfortunately, he forgot to bring out our Corn Cheese so we had to remind him about it. Overall, the dishes we had were okay and I really wanted to give this place a higher rating but I think I would have to come back to this restaurant to try their other dishes. Especially considering that this is one of the only places in Reno that has authentic Korean cuisine - I'll be back if I'm craving Korean food. read more
Hana'sGarden was a special event the owners at the restaurant are super nice. The place is very clean and the food is amazing all the dishes that they brought to us which I have never tried before were excellent. My favorite was the kimchi pancake although all the other dishes were great too was a very pleasant evening and I will go back. Oh how I've missed this place. I use to come here all the time with my friends. It's been well over 6 years. The food is so good! I'm still obsessed. Best Kimchi I've ever had! Highly recommend even if you can barely stand spicy. Can't wait to come back and have more. read more
I haven't been here in some years but I did frequent it a lot in college. The food is still as good! I had the kimchi jjigae (spicy stew), tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) and my daughter had the beef ramen and fried dumplings. Kimchi jjigae was piping hot, like rolling boil. Always great with the side of rice it comes with. Tteokbokki was seasoned great and chewy. The ramen soup had a great flavor (I tried some) and a sizeable portion. The dumpling was crispy and my daughter made them disappear! My husband had the beef bulgogi and loved it. The prices have gone up because, ya know, inflation but the happy hour prices are great. It lasts until 5pm. I washed it down with some Thai tea. The service was good, always checking but not overbearing. The place is on the smaller side but it is clean and well lit. It was great to come back for the familiar taste. Will definitely come back again. read more

I have been trying to find a Korean please here in Reno because I'm obsessed with Tteokbokki! This was the place that my husband and I just had to try out! The people were nice, the restaurant itself was very clean and the food was amazing ! My husband got the ramen and it had so many layers of flavor and my Tteokbokki was so cheesy and flavorful I had to take the rest home so I had some for tomorrow! Definitely will be going back to try more items! read more
