Stopped in for dinner first visit to MB grill. The food is okay. nothing exciting. The fried rice is underwhelming in my opinion, it's little wet like it cooked with too much water, it's has no taste to it. Aside the fried rice. The noodles and other toppings I had and the seasoning makes up, for it. The noodles are savory. I mixed the fried rices into the noodles, since the fried rice lacks flavoring and it's wet. Fried rice needs texture and little less water. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is dead quiet, possibly 4or 5 family around.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was briefly seated, the wait staff brought my water that's the only interaction I had the wait staff through out the night. Service could been better. Other than bringing the food and water. After trying this place, I'm not sure if I want to try again.

5/16/25- My gym buddy recommended I try this spot- It's really been difficult to find a good Mongolian Bbq..but I found one now! A special review for me #1800th.. Wow! Service attentive- I like the ordering on paper- it was kind of fun! Only minus- Korean rib was very chewy.. All the sauces blended well .. Ordered the fried won tons- nice that there were six... lol.. Definitely coming back!

first time here lots of parking MB Grill could have done a lot better with all of the sauces added to the dish, still lacked flavor and the proteins were not marinated the steak was frozen and definitely not fresh, had a poor purple/pink/stale red color and was chewy every protein on the plate was mediocre smells good, but taste and quality was not there

Chicken and shrimp with some veggies and noodles and fried rice.

I thought this place was pretty good! You build your own stir fry on a piece of paper and we had our meals within 5 minutes. We both ordered the large so we could have leftovers and both had plenty for a full meal the next day as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a fairly big place and they seat you - you don't order at the counter.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Only downside was I wish there was more flavor in the sauce but maybe I didn't order the right one. I'll try it again for sure though!

This place lets you make your own customized Mongolian bbq plate. The staff quickly gets you seated. You will get a sheet that allows you to make your own bowl. It's good because it has alot of options. They come over grab your sheet and come back with your food. It would be cool to see them cook it more in front of you but it's not a deal breaker. The food is good but sometimes I feel like double up on the sauces to get a little more flavor. It's a different spot from the normal food options. It's a good place but still on the hunt for a little more!

Nice stop in Spanish Springs. Service is prompt and polite, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]there was plenty of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My short rib beef was kind of chewy but the plate itself was satisfying. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Asian theme thruout, the place was well lit and comfortable[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Im coming back. Check it out.

Hi underrated! I came to this place for the first time and was completely blown away. As you enter, it's an older restaurant nothing fancy, so your perception based on that you say the food should be ok. Ha! I was completely wrong, don't ever judge a book by its cover. This is hands down the best Mongolian food in Reno! There's other Mongolian restaurants (big chains) that's been in Reno for years, but they have absolutely nothing on this place. Staff are friendly, sufficient and attentive. The quality, the flavor and the portion size is amazing!!!!! I love that I can customize it to exactly what I want and not pick from already made meals with the sauces they choose. It's great! I will be a cover customer. The house sauce is

beef short ribs, Beef Udon Noodle (S), egg rolls

DON'T LET THE BAD REVIEWS DISCOURAGE YOU! I came here for lunch for the first time and the waiter was amazing. He was super helpful and fast on the refills, also checked in multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed! His recommendations were also very on point! I ordered the beef short ribs and beef for my bowl with udon noodles with the waiters recommendation of the Korean and house sauces and it was delectable and a great portion size! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was very clean and had an adorable patio![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The wife and we're looking for somewhere to eat after shopping and found this gem. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cool place laid back the food was fast and delicious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You pick what you want and they make it for you. We got the small bowls and were a lot of food. The appetizers were yummy. We will definitely be back for sure! The staff is super friendly!

Love this place. We're here every week. Great price and plenty of food for leftovers, which are just a good of not better the footwork day. Make sure to get a large plate!

Ask the Community - MB Grill

Do they have an AYCE (All You Can Eat) option as posted on some of the menu pictures? If so, what is the cost?

    They do not.

Do they let you tamp down your bowls here?

You don't make a bowl here. You select your proteins and veggies off of a list and they prepare the food for you. They are generous portions.

Does anyone know if they use MSG?

They don't used any MSG at all.

Could you please post a menu? I'm tired of going into a place blind, and having to be disappointed in the flavor, quality, or prices

I posted the "menu" in the pics . It is prices only. The selection of food is not posted.

The chopped pork and brisket were okay, but we thought a lot of the flavor was carried from the BBQ sauce instead of the meat. The decor inside has that BBQ joint feel with some nice pig paraphernalia and Nevafa stuff. Shayla our server was very nice and courteous and made us feel right at home. My only critique involves another server who seemed very chatty with a couple who sat next to our table. She was talking with them a lot. She also made a comment after she noticed me taking photos of the inside saying "you can easily spot out the first timers." I think that's something a server should keep to themselves instead of mentioning it out loud. But that's me. I would've given this review 3.5 stars if I could just for that. But I'm giving it 4 because everything else was excellent. Would definitely come back again.

Yes, the brisket was actually INEDIBLE! It was dry, tough, rubbery, tasteless. The only way I could even power a couple of bites down was soaking it in the BBQ sauce. At least the chicken I had with it was moist and had SOME flavor. I had the grits and cheddar as one side and it's like they put them in a food processor. Grits should be gritty, not smooth like paste ( I promise I don't eat paste). The Costco applesauce was the best thing I had. We literally had to go out to lunch again. Our service was blah but at we were only charged for one meal. Not sure who finds this place acceptable, but I shall never return. Dammit! JimG

On this trip, they offered the Crawfish Etouffee as a special, coming highly recommended from all the staff, so I had to try it. The soup had a very thick, creamy texture, rich with flavor. The bits of crawfish were complemented with some grilled shrimp. All served with a dollop of rice. Delicious. My wife had the Fried Chicken Platter. The skin was crisp and full of flavor. I don't know what seasonings they put on the chicken but it was absolutely delicious. Now a risk with any fried chicken is over-cooking the chicken at the cost of getting the skin crispy. This was the case with our dish. While the outside was absolutely amazing, the chicken itself was a bit over cooked. What a shame. We ordered the Chicken Platter with a side of Red Beans and Rice. This was straight from the Bayou. Simple, delicious and perfect. Just wish I had a bigger serving. We also sampled the corn bread. While this too was quite good, the texture was bit to cake like to my liking. Not in a bad way, just different to what I would have preferred. I went in big like a starving hostage and ordered a half rack of ribs, brisket, pulled pork, a Habanero Jalapeño Cheddar sausage link and a side of mac and F'n Cheese! My wife, she had the pulled chicken and a salad. First taste was the brisket, gotta go in for the brisket. The bark was so flavorful and there was the distinct smoke flavor. Unlike another place I've been to, this place was smoke forward and that's the vibe I like. Not bitter, but a good smoke. The pulled pork was out of this world and the ribs were just about perfect. Not fall off the bone but a great clean bite through. I know, I know everyone wants fall off the bone but hear me out, THAT'S JUST OVERCOOKED! Now let's talk about this sausage. One thing we noticed right away was that the bonchon was already set on the tables before guests arrived. It wasn't a large spread--just a small tin of cheese corn and a divided tray with kimchi, bean sprouts, and fish cake--not sure how long they were left out and did look and taste dry. The servers seemed to work well together. Different team members checked on us, cleared dishes, served food, and helped other's tables. Once it got busier, they also used robot servers to help deliver food. We started with the salad with house dressing and the popcorn chicken. Both were good, and the chicken was nice and moist. For the BBQ, we ordered the Chardol, Ju Mul Luck, Hawaiian Steak, Tri-Tip Bulgogi, and Galbi (short ribs). Having eaten at quite a few Korean BBQ restaurants in Las Vegas, we noticed the portions here were a bit smaller. They also limit each round to three appetizers and four meat selections. Overall, the service was good, and we especially appreciated Eurie for being friendly and attentive. The only thing that concerned us was when another server changed our grill. Instead of lightly drizzling oil onto the grill, she forcefully squeezed the bottle, causing the oil to shoot out onto grill. It seemed like an unnecessary safety risk for both guests and employees. Our favorites were definitely the Tri-Tip Bulgogi and the Galbi. Both were flavorful and tender. The Chardol was good, but the slices were very thin and the portion felt a little small. The restaurant filled up quickly between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m., so it's clearly a popular spot. Unfortunately, some of my old favorites aren't quite the same. I used to love their deep-fried oysters, which are no longer on the menu and have been replaced with deep-fried mussels. The kimchi stew recipe also seems to have changed and wasn't as memorable as before. That said, they still serve my favorite gopchang (beef small intestine). When cooked properly, it gets wonderfully crispy and reminds me of Mexican tripas tacos--definitely worth ordering. I'd personally skip the bibimbap appetizer. The rice was hard, the ground beef was cold, and it felt like it relied too heavily on the gochujang sauce for flavor. Even with those changes, I'll continue supporting this business. Service was also attentive.
