MB Grill is the most consistent restaurant I have ever been to in flavor, amount of ingredients, service of care, and just overall feel goodness. If you are feeling like some good Mongolian food at a fair price this is the place to go. 10/10 everytime. read more

MB Grill is a Five Star hidden treasure. It is off of Los Altos Pky in Sparks, suite 200 in the Michael's shopping center. MB Grill is the very best Mongolian Bbq in Sparks and Reno. The food is made to order with so many meat, vegetable and vegan options. This is a family owned and operated business with one special restaurant in Sparks. They are closed on Tuesday. I have brought my family many times, and now my family is bringing their friends and family. If you are looking for a really wonderful fresh plate of healthy food, Thai Tea, and a restaurant that cares about their quality of food and the customers they serve, please come in for lunch or dinner. I also Love the ambiance with all the beautiful umbrellas. What a lovely restaurant. You will be so impressed. Say hi to the Owner's Joe and Jane. Cheers. Julie A read more

This is the first time I do a bad review on any restaurant! Just finished dining in, food was good, I even ordered a whole new plate to go for a family member but after paying my $150 tab and gathering up my family (my mom was still sitting down fixing our to go plate and finishing her drink) I was reaching in my pocket for my wallet with the intend to leave a cash tip before a server approached me and said "you spend $150 and you don't leave a tip" mind you, we hadn't even left our table yet so not only did we feel embarrassed, it was also disrespectful. As a restaurant owner myself, our establishment never serves with the expectation of a tip from customers. We are aware that servers do work hard and should get a tip depending on their service but it should never be asked for in such a disrespectful manner just because a tab was $150+. I spoke with the owner of this establishment in that same moment and explained what happened. He was respectful, offered his apologies and said he'd talk to the server about it but I hope he actually explains to his staff that asking/demanding for a tip from a customer is never okay! Our tip was giving the server a tip of advice on how not to treat customers. I wont be coming back anytime soon or maybe even at all. I hope no one else has to experience the humiliation we experienced at MB Grill when visiting. read more

This place is Mongolian BBQ. We got seated right away. They give you a piece of paper and you checkbox the items you would like in your bowl. They have kids, small, and large bowls. They have many categories to choose from when building your own bowl. You can also pick already created bowls. I had the small bowl of goodness in the photo attached. The shrimp was abundant which is my favorite along with chicken, and beef. There are a few appetizers, wine, beer, bobo teas to choose from on the piece of paper you make your selections from. They refilled my soda at least three times. I have not been since it changed owners and my dining experience was perfect, but I do miss putting the items in my bowl that was half the fun!! read more

Stopped in for dinner first visit to MB grill. The food is okay. nothing exciting. The fried rice is underwhelming in my opinion, it's little wet like it cooked with too much water, it's has no taste to it. Aside the fried rice. The noodles and other toppings I had and the seasoning makes up, for it. The noodles are savory. I mixed the fried rices into the noodles, since the fried rice lacks flavoring and it's wet. Fried rice needs texture and little less water. The place is dead quiet, possibly 4or 5 family around. I was briefly seated, the wait staff brought my water that's the only interaction I had the wait staff through out the night. Service could been better. Other than bringing the food and water. After trying this place, I'm not sure if I want to try again. read more

Delicious. Only downside is I wish I could pick and add my own ingredients with the bowl like some other places. Picking off the paper is easy enough, but sometimes seeing it changes what i'd pick. read more

Service attentive- I like the ordering on paper- it was kind of fun! Only minus- Korean rib was very chewy.. All the sauces blended well .. Ordered the fried won tons- nice that there were six... lol.. Definitely coming back! read more

first time here lots of parking MB Grill could have done a lot better with all of the sauces added to the dish, still lacked flavor and the proteins were not marinated the steak was frozen and definitely not fresh, had a poor purple/pink/stale red color and was chewy every protein on the plate was mediocre smells good, but taste and quality was not there read more

I thought this place was pretty good! You build your own stir fry on a piece of paper and we had our meals within 5 minutes. We both ordered the large so we could have leftovers and both had plenty for a full meal the next day as well. It's a fairly big place and they seat you - you don't order at the counter. Only downside was I wish there was more flavor in the sauce but maybe I didn't order the right one. I'll try it again for sure though! read more

This place lets you make your own customized Mongolian bbq plate. The staff quickly gets you seated. You will get a sheet that allows you to make your own bowl. It's good because it has alot of options. They come over grab your sheet and come back with your food. It would be cool to see them cook it more in front of you but it's not a deal breaker. The food is good but sometimes I feel like double up on the sauces to get a little more flavor. It's a different spot from the normal food options. It's a good place but still on the hunt for a little more! read more

Nice stop in Spanish Springs. Service is prompt and polite, and there was plenty of seating. My short rib beef was kind of chewy but the plate itself was satisfying. Asian theme thruout, the place was well lit and comfortable. Im coming back. Check it out. read more

Unfortunately this wasn't the Mongolian BBQ experience I was expecting. First thing I noticed was the ventilation system seemed lacking. I was only inside for a few minutes picking up a to-go order and walked out smelling like burnt oil. The food itself was disappointing. Unlike other Mongolian BBQ places I've been to, you're required to pick two starches, which filled up a large portion of the bowl before I even got to the ingredients I actually wanted. The vegetable portions were also pretty sparse. I ordered bean sprouts, broccoli, mushrooms, peas/carrots, cabbage, and water chestnuts, and the only item that seemed to have an adequate amount was the water chestnuts. Also, if you're expecting the traditional thin shaved protein you see at many Mongolian BBQ restaurants, this wasn't that. The meat came in small chunks instead. Overall it just didn't deliver the Mongolian BBQ experience I was looking for." read more

Hi underrated! I came to this place for the first time and was completely blown away. As you enter, it's an older restaurant nothing fancy, so your perception based on that you say the food should be ok. Ha! I was completely wrong, don't ever judge a book by its cover. This is hands down the best Mongolian food in Reno! There's other Mongolian restaurants (big chains) that's been in Reno for years, but they have absolutely nothing on this place. Staff are friendly, sufficient and attentive. The quality, the flavor and the portion size is amazing!!!!! I love that I can customize it to exactly what I want and not pick from already made meals with the sauces they choose. It's great! I will be a cover customer. The house sauce is read more

DON'T LET THE BAD REVIEWS DISCOURAGE YOU! I came here for lunch for the first time and the waiter was amazing. He was super helpful and fast on the refills, also checked in multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed! His recommendations were also very on point! I ordered the beef short ribs and beef for my bowl with udon noodles with the waiters recommendation of the Korean and house sauces and it was delectable and a great portion size! The place was very clean and had an adorable patio! read more

Food tasted good. A bit odd to do the paper method of the create your own bowl but it was fine. Service was great. I was pretty empty while we were there. read more

Food quality went downhill. The first couple times when we visited the past few years food was amazing and we were so happy because we love lo mein. We continue visiting and found that the lo mein or fried rice has been lack of flavor no matter what sauce choice we picked, meat is also been lacking no matter what meat choice. We still keep visiting today, but really the sauce is just all oil grease, I appreciate low sodium diet but not like this bland. The cooking staffs didn't look like they like their job either! Hope the owner can see this review and get this problem fixed soon before we give it up. read more

They dont let you serve yourself in request beef chicken and onion and pineapple. I got like a whole onion and one table spoon of beef and one table spoon of chicken. They definitely short you on meat. I won't hold back. read more

I hadn't been in a while and did frequent this location when I first moved back to the Sparks area. With my last pregnancy, I craved Asian cuisine and Mexican food. It was convenient and easy and not too far from home, so I would like to visit. Service was fairly quick and loved how fresh the food was. They deliver for a small fee if you live nearby. With this area growing with more dining options, I forgot they were here. The dining room still resembles the restaurant here beforehand before the name changes. I am unsure if they changed ownership, but I do intend on coming in more often for my fixes. read more

I often don't do a bad review - but this place sucks! The meat had to be spitted out by both my wife & I and we left with a disappointmet which put us in a "ripped-off" mood. Keep Away! read more

We went to MB Grill (Mongolian BBQ) in Sparks for dinner last night and were very disappointed in the quality of the food. The beef and chicken were extremely low quality, and to our surprise, they even added sliced hot dogs to our meal. The restaurant was nearly empty, which unfortunately made sense once we saw the overall condition and quality. To make things worse, when they bused our table, the staff placed our dirty dishes in a container right in the dining area instead of taking them back to the kitchen--very unappetizing and unprofessional. The whole experience felt depressing. We definitely will not be coming back. read more

Update: Visited again however please note that the amount of meat on both of our plates lacked the amount of protein that we were anticipating. We weren't enthusiastic as the last time we visited, as we felt we didn't get our bang for our buck with the lack thereof of the protein we opted for. read more

I was use to the old style of Mongolian BBQ, where you added your own veggies, protein, spices and sauces. Here you pick your bowl and what you want in it off a piece of paper. The food was okay and came out on a styrofoam plate, which I thought was odd for dining in. My husband was glad with his selection of food and mine was just okay. I have never seen rectangular slices of water chestnuts and they were kind of stalky and not like the crunchy circles pieces I am use to. The service was good as were the pot stickers. There was an odd chemical smell to the restaurant, which threw off my taste buds. I found it odd that by the restrooms they were selling press on nails and fake eye lashes. read more

Great customer service, clean/welcoming environment, fast service, and the food was great. I really don't have anything negative to say about this place. After you're seated, you'll make selections on the sheet they give you. Selections such as dish size, proteins, vegetables, sauces, etc. Ingredients are unlimited (in one bowl/serving). It's been a long time since I've had access to a good Mongolian BBQ place as the last good one I regularly went to closed down. So glad I have one again. read more

Highly recommended! 4 of us dropped by on a Friday evening. We were seated quickly, drinks arrived and we set out figuring out the appetizers and individual plates being ordered. Lots of TV's for various tastes of entertainment - sports, news, game shows. Comfortable booths / tables without crowded seating. Clean restrooms too! Service was splendid too! I'm giving this place 3 stars, the food had good flavor but the noodles were over cooked and the veggies were kind of soggy as well. Delicious sauce and very nice employees. When you walk in you choose from a paper menu as to what you want instead of going and getting it yourself. I assume that's due to Covid? Mongolian is always more fun when you get to pile what you want into a bowl (in my opinion anyways) overall a 3 star rating. The restaurant itself seems a bit unorganized read more
