The restroom was very clean as well as the rest of the restaurant. I had the orange chicken lunch special. It came with soup (I chose egg drop) rice, chicken and an egg roll. Can here about 5 years ago when we moved to SS and remembered my liking it but wanted to give it a try again. We ordered shrimp fried rice and I served with only shrimp, onion, and rice. Normally fried rice also comes with a combination of peas, carrots and eggs. Also ordered General shrimp and it was very soupy, the sauce didn't stick to the shrimp and it tasted like orange sauce with spices added to it. This place was pretty good for the price! The sitting area was nice and quiet and not too hot or cold! The bathroom was the cleanest I've ever seen in a restaurant too! Our server was extremely friendly and after I started coughing she asked if I was okay! I got the orange chicken dinner combo! The perfect neighborhood Chinese spot? China King has that cozy, neighborhood-restaurant feel. Big enough that you're not elbow-to-elbow with other tables, but still small enough to feel personal. It almost gives off a vibe like you're eating at someone's house. The crowd was pretty minimal the Monday evening I went, just a few other dine-in tables and some folks picking up their orders to go. The staff was super friendly in a way that added to that "homey" feeling. Service was quick and well-paced; appetizers, soup, and mains all came out in a smooth flow. They didn't hover, but they were easy to flag down if we needed anything. We started with crab rangoons, which were crispy and tasty. For soup, we tried both the egg flower and hot and sour, both exactly what you would expect. For our mains, we ordered the dinner combo plates with Mongolian beef and General chicken. Each came with an egg roll, chicken chow mein, and pork fried rice. Everything hit the spot, but the Mongolian beef was definitely the standout. Super flavorful and perfectly cooked. The only thing that didn't completely hit was the fried rice which was fine, just not quite as flavorful as it could've been. Price-wise, this might just be some of the most affordable Chinese food in town right now, which makes it an even easier "yes" for a return visit. The only real downside for me is that it's pretty far into Spanish Springs, so it's not the most convenient spot unless you live in the area. I love this restaurant for lunch. It is very affordable, not overly crowded, great service, food has always been very good. It is comfortable. Kind of reminds me of when I was growing up and everyone sat in the kitchen with familiar things around and the family always ate together and caught up on what everyone was doing that day. Located in the shopping center at the corner of Vista and Wingfield Hills Rd, their lunch menu is impressive. With 39 items to choose from, each meal comes with either hot & sour or egg drop soup, an egg roll, and fried rice. We ordered the Mongolian beef and General's chicken. We arrived at 11:30 and business was already brisk. They had several take-out orders, and tables were filling up quickly. The hot & sour soup arrived first, steaming hot and perfectly spicy--it was delicious. As soon as we finished, our main courses arrived. The General's chicken was crispy beneath its sweet and spicy sauce, and the pork fried rice was flavorful with pieces of char siu. The egg roll was basic but perfectly crispy. The Mongolian beef was tender, and the sauce was incredibly flavorful. We will be back soon, we have 37 more entree's to try! read more

My daughter and I have been craving their pork fried rice and appetizers from here. I placed an order for a family meal for pick up when I got off of work last week. I had to have their Chinese food! They were busy and just jamming orders out! By the time I drove here from work my order was ready for pick up! Appetizers: tempura shrimp, egg rolls and baby back ribs. War wonton soup and two entrées: green pea chicken and a general's chicken with a side of pork fried rice. Great portions and value for your buck! Restaurant is always busy, but they always manage to care for everyone all at once. Tip: If you live in the Wingfield area or close enough they will deliver to you for a few extra dollars. I was pretty surprised by how small the building was once I went inside. Not many tables or booths! It looked bigger on the outside! The inside was well kept with clean tables and booths. The floor was also mostly clean as well, though the interior had a very bad "old" smell to it. It was not pleasant to be in for a long period of time. So I took my food as take out. The waitress who helped me was very short of speech and only worried about tamy order, nothing else beyond that. It was probably the least amount of conversation or interaction with any waiter or waitress I've ever had. When I took my food home and tried it I was pleasantly surprised as it was pretty good! The noodles tasted good and the chicken was cooked well. I wasn't a big fan of the rice, but my folks sure enjoyed it! I've always been served by the same lady I assume to be the owner, and she has always been nice and quick with service, both for take out and dine-in. My favorite (and recommendation) is the lunch special (11a-3p), which runs every day of the week, and you can walk home with a soup, eggroll, entre, and pork fried rice for about $10. Friday take out for our family. This is usually a favorite for us but tonight was not a good night. All of the battered items were rubbery and the meats were very tough. Seems like things may have been precooked and reheated. I'm not sure why the quality was so poor. The last few times we've picked up my husband has commented on tough or fatty meat. I didn't think so but tonight I have to agree. There was a drastic difference in tonight's order. This makes me sad but I hope it is just an off night. We will return as loyal customers although may have to branch out to explore other options if things don't improve. Consistency is important. read more

Went in for lunch special, had the lemon chicken and egg drop soup. I was hoping for a better lemon flavor, but it was just some prepackaged lemon sauce. The egg drop soup was delicious. The lunch special came with an egg roll that had fresh veggies in it and was delicious. The chicken and egg roll were fried to perfection, still crunchy under all the sauce. I'm so happy that I can still get my favorite Chinese food during tough times. What I appreciate about the china king is their portion size. For as long as they've been open they're portions have been consistently fulfilling & they don't jack their prices up when other restaurants raise theirs ridiculously. I've tried many of their dishes & they are good. But our go-to's... We recommend starting with the Crab Rangoon, then share the Mongolian Beef, Walnut Shrimp & House Chow Mein. For soup I like the egg drop soup, but my wife wont shut up about their war wonton soup. I hope that they are able to stay open because you get to support local business during uncertain times and having a good meal makes the day a little better.
