Pretty terrible experience. The 5 scoop bowl was very sad. A "scoop" of shrimp was literally two shrimp. Also, they do not read the notes at all if you order through Grubhub. We asked for sauce, ginger and wasabi on the side, not mixed in. It came mixed in on both bowls. The crab is basically drenched in mayo. The wasabi is a neon green liquid. I recommend trying the habenero masago for a topping. Avocada is free! So that's a plus. I like the Okesesame sauce, but I'm itching to try okeyaki. The only thing I wouldn't prefer is the rice noodles. Others like it, but it's not a combination that I liked with my poke. Oke Poke has reasonable prices, as it matches up with most of the other poke places I've been to (around $10 for a bowl with three scoops). When it came to sauces, my husband was unsure so the server asked if he wanted something sweet, savory, spicy, etc. He answered spicy & savory so the server combined a couple sauces ( I think it was spicy mayo and toasted garlic?) and let my husband taste the mix on a piece of fish in a sample cup to make sure it was what he would like in his bowl. I'm always happy to find new poke places! Oke Poke is located inside the same complex as Pavillions. This used to be a frozen yogurt shop. We came on a weekend for lunch and there's wasn't a huge crowd (bonus). Their regular size portion is generous because the hubby didn't upgrade to a large size!! lol Their fish and topping options are very good. I also liked that you get an option of a scoop of avocado or an extra scoop of crab meat (most places don't give avocado out for free). We were able to use the current Yelp check in offer (free hot tea or miso soup). Their sign out front has happy hour specials. I believe it was free Dole whip with purchase. Very impressed with the poke bowls here. Came here for lunch one day and got 2 bowls. They have 2 sizes 3 scoops of fish and 5 scoops of fish. Also, a free miso soup with Yelp check-in, SCORE! I got one of each of the 2 sizes. No extra charge for avocado, huge plus! The ingredients are fresh, staff were very nice and efficient. There are premade options available as well as the choice of customizing your own bowl with 3 or 5 scoops of fish. You can mix your vegetables and protein together with the sauce or not if you want, I like to mix it up sometimes personally, it's a great option. They also have tofu as a protein option and even rice noodles as a base. My friend gets half spring mix and half brown rice, it's nice that you can pick more than one base. The miso soup is the best miso I've ever had, the temperature is just right and It comes tofu and some vegetables. He also let her know when certain toppings were too strong and would offer to go light on it and if she wanted more of the topping, to bring it back and he would add it. Not to be petty but I frequent here and I always used to appreciate how the boys would do my oke burrito. But these last two times.... My wife got here around 7p.m. and ordered for me. There was a male and a female working behind the counter, and it was the female who wrapped(?) my burrito this time and the previous. Who ever this young lady is needs to learn how to do the poke burritos properly or at least let the male(s) do it. Both times have I had my burrito not wrapped properly and the contents inside the burrito wasn't distributed correctly throughout. Today's burrito made me upset. It was spilling out of the wrap and it was uneven. I could've taken it back myself and made my complaint but no one would answer the phone to let them to know about this situation ahead of time. Therefore, I decided to leave this review in hopes that the manager would see this. Again, I like this place and the boys always did the best burrito for me and I kept coming back. Ordered on Grubhub for pickup, but when I got to the store, door was locked with a handwritten closed for the moment sign. I call the place and someone comes out and tells me that my order was cancelled since they didn't have one of the ingredients. This is odd, since I had no cancellation notice at all. So I ask if they can just make my order without the ingredient that they don't have. The man tells me no, because they just staring a 40 minute break, even though the store doesn't have any mid-day closing break. Finally I call GrubHub and they confirm that the order was in fact not cancelled, and they refund my credit card. Oke Poke is just messy with their GrubHub orders and customer service. They need to be trained to use GrubHub properly, cancelling orders if they need to, or shutting down their system if they are about to go on some sort of break. read more
