Looool bruh. There literally isn't anything special about Oke Poke's poke. It tastes like standard_626_poke_place.jpg. But their portioning goes CRAZY?!??!! My mans behind the counter was not PLAYING with the protein scoops. The sheer amount of tuna he slapped into my poke bowl boosted my serotonin levels enough to impulse buy a Hawaiian Sun. I've only tried a few poke places but Oke Poke is by far my favorite location. The ingredients always look and taste fresh. I've tried their salmon, spicy tuna, scallop, Taka, squid salad, shrimp, and wide ranges of sauces to create my own Oke Poke bowl with veggies and rice. Their service is always quick and they give good sized portions. Their house sauce (which is a spicy paste they keep in their fridge and available by request only) is so good and very spicy - part of the reason I enjoy Oke Poke so much - they have so many spicy sauce options. I recommend trying the habenero masago for a topping. Avocada is free! So that's a plus. I like the Okesesame sauce, but I'm itching to try okeyaki. The only thing I wouldn't prefer is the rice noodles. Others like it, but it's not a combination that I liked with my poke. Oke Poke has reasonable prices, as it matches up with most of the other poke places I've been to (around $10 for a bowl with three scoops). My poke bowl was a mess. All of the proteins we mixed together in one big mush. I ordered tofu, spicy tuna, and shrimp. It was an unrecognizable mixture, couldn't tell what was what. The seaweed salad and cucumber had this awful fish taste to it, luckily I had cucumber at home so I replaced it. Probably ruined poke for myself to be honest. Pretty terrible experience. The 5 scoop bowl was very sad. A "scoop" of shrimp was literally two shrimp. Also, they do not read the notes at all if you order through Grubhub. We asked for sauce, ginger and wasabi on the side, not mixed in. It came mixed in on both bowls. The crab is basically drenched in mayo. The wasabi is a neon green liquid. My coworker and I decided to have lunch at this place . There was probably two people eating around lunch time on a Monday. They also have pre created bowls if you do not want to build your own. They have a Groupon if you want to save some money. Yelp check in gets you a free green tea bag in hot water, they do not have the miso soup. 3 Scoops - $8.95 5 Scoops - $10.95 Cooked fish are the shrimp, scallops, and octopus. All other fish are raw. I liked the habenero fish roe, nice spice. They give pretty small scoops for toppings. They were going to charge me a dollar to get a scoop of avocado and the imitation crab, doesn't make sense since the toppings are unlimited. I've been here before and I would say the poke bowls here are among the best I've had :) Everything is tasty, goes well together, and you get a nice portion for a not so hefty price. Tonight I didn't buy anything (I wasn't hungry) but I came in with my husband who ordered a bowl. The man serving us was wonderful! He made sure my husband got exactly what he wanted. When it came to sauces, my husband was unsure so the server asked if he wanted something sweet, savory, spicy, etc. He answered spicy & savory so the server combined a couple sauces ( I think it was spicy mayo and toasted garlic?) and let my husband taste the mix on a piece of fish in a sample cup to make sure it was what he would like in his bowl. It was perfect so that's what he chose to put in his bowl. Also, my husband likes spicy food so he enjoyed that there was spicy crab salad & a spicy masago option as well. I'm always happy to find new poke places! Oke Poke is located inside the same complex as Pavillions. This used to be a frozen yogurt shop. We came on a weekend for lunch and there's wasn't a huge crowd (bonus). Their regular size portion is generous because the hubby didn't upgrade to a large size!! lol Their fish and topping options are very good. I also liked that you get an option of a scoop of avocado or an extra scoop of crab meat (most places don't give avocado out for free). We were able to use the current Yelp check in offer (free hot tea or miso soup). Their sign out front has happy hour specials. I believe it was free Dole whip with purchase. Most recently they've also circulated coupons (mailer) that you can also use to save a buck or two. We'll definitely be back! read more

The service was fine, the way the employees shake the excess or the last one or two pieces in the scoop leave me like, okaaaay. At the end of my meal I had so much rice left and the fish was gone. We love sushi! The kids bowls are cheap and a great size! Plus, the kids get to choose their toppings and their protein. Great for Lent and something that's different than your standard sushi rolls. We were a little disappointed because they usually have Dole Whip but was out. This is one of the only places that even carries it outside of DisneyLand but ‍still great food! Very impressed with the poke bowls here. Came here for lunch one day and got 2 bowls. They have 2 sizes 3 scoops of fish and 5 scoops of fish. Also, a free miso soup with Yelp check-in, SCORE! I got one of each of the 2 sizes. No extra charge for avocado, huge plus! The ingredients are fresh, staff were very nice and efficient. Fish tasted good and we really like the spicy sweet sauce they had. There's a water jug infused with lemon with cups complimentary for all guests, which was very nice. This is my favorite poke place in the area!!! Huge portions and lots of topping selection! Really yummy fish and sauces. To satisfy your thrifty side, they have a rewards program (I believe it's buy 10 bowls and get the 11th free or get a free shirt). AND they have happy hour everyday where you get $2 off between 3-5pm. Last time I was there I didn't see any signs for the happy hour but I asked the employee and she said they still offer it. I ordered on DoorDash for dinner, The seafood was fresh and tasty however when you order a five scoop bowl and pay the extra money you expect to get what you pay for or at least close to what you pay for. I have to say the bowl felt like it was very light in weight and when I looked it was not the amount that I ordered I ordered double shrimp, double spicy tuna, and Spicy crab over cucumbers I literally have four pieces of shrimp I don't believe that's a double shrimp and one scoop of spicy tuna honestly not even a full scoop I don't know how they can be so unfair, I get it everyone has to make money, but it is ridiculous considering the amount of money I paid extra. We came for the dole pineapple whip. It was not as creamy as it is in Hawaii but the flavor is still good. I got half salad and rice then i loaded the toppings. The sauce I chose was ponzu and a mayo one. Spicy tuna and salmon. They actually mix them together. I didn't like the salmon it kind of taste a little fishy but the spicy tuna was yummy. Monrovia Oke Poke. I don't know why mine says San Francisco. This place is a great little gem. It's over near Vons and Wendy's. They give you a lot. Unless you need a lot of food, order the small one. You get 3 proteins and offer many different options for toppings. All the toppings are very healthy. Try the sushi rice. I love this place!!! best Poke place around! The portions are perfect, you can choose multiple of the same scoop of protein or all different ones. I hadn't eaten poke much before this place, now I love it, it's healthy and there's so many options. Try the Oke Crab! It's my favorite. You can mix your vegetables and protein together with the sauce or not if you want, I like to mix it up sometimes personally, it's a great option. They also have tofu as a protein option and even rice noodles as a base. My friend gets half spring mix and half brown rice, it's nice that you can pick more than one base. The miso soup is the best miso I've ever had, the temperature is just right and It comes tofu and some vegetables. We drive out of my way to go here, its so worth it, I prefer Oke Poke over other Poke businesses. I go on lunch dates here all time. My boyfriend likes the sukiyaki beef bowls a lot. Everyone I know loves eating here, because of all the add on choices you can pick from. He also let her know when certain toppings were too strong and would offer to go light on it and if she wanted more of the topping, to bring it back and he would add it. The worker who helped me did not explain anything or offer suggestions and she was super stingy on my bowl (refer to the picture). Not to be petty but I frequent here and I always used to appreciate how the boys would do my oke burrito. But these last two times.... My wife got here around 7p.m. and ordered for me. There was a male and a female working behind the counter, and it was the female who wrapped(?) my burrito this time and the previous. Who ever this young lady is needs to learn how to do the poke burritos properly or at least let the male(s) do it. Both times have I had my burrito not wrapped properly and the contents inside the burrito wasn't distributed correctly throughout. Today's burrito made me upset. It was spilling out of the wrap and it was uneven. I could've taken it back myself and made my complaint but no one would answer the phone to let them to know about this situation ahead of time. Therefore, I decided to leave this review in hopes that the manager would see this. Again, I like this place and the boys always did the best burrito for me and I kept coming back. If this sounds like I'm being unfair, just think about how I feel when I got my burrito and it spilled out of the wrapper.
