We had dinner plans and ate a pastry before stopping by. I wanted to have clam chowder before we…read moreleave town. And we saw a sign for razor clam chowder and $2 oysters. My husband and I shared the chunkiest bowl of clam chowder ever. It was hella amazing. I wish I have room in my stomach to try the $2 oysters but the deal is only for 6 at the minimum. Staff were quick and sweet. She was also very understanding because I felt really bad that we only wanted a bowl of soup and that's it. We were eating so much that day. There's also an indoor and outdoor area to eat. The restaurant is a hidden gem and kind of tucked away inside the hallways so you definitely want to look out for the two dollar oyster signs. that will be your beacon. Next time, I'll try not to snack so much beforehand so I can try out all of their oysters and have a big bowl of razor clam chowder to myself!

Menu was medium sized so we went with the fried oyster, Caesar salad, fish and chips, and the Dungeness crab pasta. Food came quickly but were very mediocre, the oysters were a little undercooked and the fish was dry. Service was decent, but not sure if it was worth an automatic 20% "service fee" that was added to our check. Safe to say we won't be back next time.

Imperial Kitchen and Bar in Belltown offers Hong Kong cafe style food while offering a full bar experience including creative cocktails. The food menu has a variety of international choices, and the dishes are pleasantly good. The place is understandably loud, being a bar. The décor is old-school dark wood bar chic with small HK style neon signs hanging from the ceiling. The Seahawks celebrations merriment was still ongoing with karaoke blasting on Superbowl Sunday. Service was swift, and the food came out in a timely manner. I will remember this place for future late-night food. The Food: Rib Eye Steak Platter, $28 - 4.5 Stars This sizzling platter comes with your choice of sauce and a choice of starch. Hubby chose black pepper sauce and spaghetti. Hubby asked for medium rare, but the rarest they offer is medium due to being served on a sizzling platter. Fair enough. The platter did arrive smoking hot. The flavors were pretty good. The black pepper sauce was delivered warm, not very hot. The flavors met expectations. Stir Fried Udon with Tenderloin Steak, $20.95 - 4 Stars This dish is also done in a black pepper sauce. I quite like the high veggies-to-udon ratio, almost equal parts. Overall flavor is a bit salty. Some beef pieces are better than others, a mix of tender and chewy. Garlic Pepper Soft Shell Crab, $16.95 - 3.5 Stars Despite being fried, these pieces are softer, less crispy than I all other fried soft-shell crab I have had. Perhaps they might need to double fry. These have good flavor with good seasonings despite not being particularly crispy.

I finally had the pleasure of dining in as there was a concert nearby and this one of the only places that would be open afterwards. We arrived 40-ish minutes before they closed and it was still busy in the restaurant with bar full of patrons and half of the restaurant had tables filled. The restaurant itself was gorgeous as it was dim but they had hundreds of candles on shelves as well as lamps throughout the restaurant. There was booth seating, bar seating and more. My boyfriend and I arrived and waited a few minutes before we were seated and handed menus. Our waiter on Saturday (8/8) was not only professional but hilarious. We ordered a strawberry lemonade for the two of us, a Buttermilk Fried Chicken Burger with bacon for him and I got their seafood gumbo entree and a side of their cheesy grits. We got our food and the portions here are huge. The food was immaculate. My boyfriend said this was probably one of the best fried chicken burgers he had ever had and that the bacon portion was more than any other place has given him. I was very happy with the gumbo and the cheesy grits were so good, it had a puree/whipped potatoes consistency which was delightful. The strawberry lemonade was tart and sweet with the right amount of strawberry flavor. Definitely want to come back to try more of their menu as they have quite the extensive menu and a brunch menu as well!
