The sandwich came out in about 10 mins and it was hot temperature-wise! Fluffy biscuit with a crispy exterior for the chicken. It has some sauce and sliced pickles. What the heck! How does this place only have 3 1/2 stars? Pretty much verbatim I told my husband that it was the best biscuit I've ever had. I really hesitated on writing this review about my experience with this business. I thought after texting a couple of photos I would have at least the bare minimum gotten a call from the owner. It all fell flat and to the waste side of communication. My experience turned my stomach upside down. This is the reason I will never eat anything in the dark for the rest of my life. I *thought* I knew what I wanted until 2 seconds before we approached the register when I suddenly realized that the items listed on the menu as "biscuits" had the listed toppings baked INTO them (not on them) and the "sandwiches" were what I'd still just call a...biscuit. I also got a peach tea mimosa which I loved. I enjoyed the chicken and the pickle on my "sandwich" but the biscuit itself wasn't that great me. They were just too bulky and also baked too hard for my liking. The inside of the biscuit was decent, but the outside was so tough and crumbly, it made the whole bite just dry. We spent around $50 for this meal and for me, the taste of the food just didn't match the price. BISCUIT COUNTER NEXT TO OLD STOVE. In fact this space used to be part of Old Stove and is separated only by a small white picket fence. They have all kinds of biscuits including vegan and gluten free. You order them at the counter and They cook them fresh to order so you may have to wait five or ten minutes depending how busy they are. I had the Mac Gregor which is made with cheese and bits of ham. Which I could taste but not see. They asked if wanted one of the add ons like butter, jam or some other fillings offered which they will add in the center of the biscuit for you. The biscuits are huge and come Out hot!. Although they are soft in the center, they are relatively dry, so I highly recommend adding one of the fillings like jam or butter. You can also add malassas or simple syrup for free at the condiment counter along with cinnamon salt or pepper. There is some limited self seating inside, but a lot of people take their biscuits to go or eat outside at some of the public seating available.
