    Zucchini chips and honey Loukoumades
    Jaquelin F.

I haven't tried their actual food yet so this is a preview review, if you will... lol. I have been here twice (surprisingly makes a good study environment, for me, at least). I have tried their zucchini chips and Loukoumades (Greek donuts)! Their customer service is good, no complaints, always ask what I want and if I have any questions. Their zucchini chips are great, 4/5, only because there a few soggy ones here and there but no biggie. Their loukoumades are good too I just have some objections... 3/5. I ordered the honey ones which come with Greek honey, some walnuts, and powder which I'm assuming is cinnamon? Correct me if I'm wrong though! I felt like they were lacking that honey aspect and I just kept tasting this powder. It honestly overpowers the honey by quite a bit. However, the texture and taste of the loukoumades themselves was great! Very fluffy and somewhat chewy! Which I love. Overall 4/5, and I will be coming back to try their actual food!

I was in town for business and this spot caught my eye when I was walking to CVS. The interior is pretty large, which is necessary considering the line was long. It was a hot day and I was grateful to be standing in the air conditioning. I also really liked the upbeat dance music that was playing. There are several tables, but it seemed like most guests took their lunch to go. The employees were hard working and friendly (you can see them in the kitchen shaving off pieces of meat while it cooks). I got the lamb gyro plate with spicy feta and fried zucchini as well as a Greek iced tea. The lamb was not the most flavorful but it was all around very good. I loved the spicy feta, but tasted more like red pepper. The tea was sweet.

Really disappointing portion and ratios of food. The side of my container where you see yoghurt sauce literally had nothing under just heels of yoghurt sauce. And for a salad this had less than a handful of lettuce. In addition, the container is quite small. This costs over 20 bucks and was half a portion of Sweetgreen. I do not recommend. The pork was firm but very underwhelming flavor. This place is too overpriced for what I received.

From Vegas and visiting Boston. Stopped for lunch. Pretty dang good stuff here. Had a chicken pita. Really good. Has pork Souvlaki skewers. Again, really good. Don't forget the zucchini chip. To die for. Great seasoning. Especially with tzatziki sauce. Great customer service too.

    Skin, not meat.

Horrible! More the 1/2 of the chicken on my Greek salad was skin and fat, not meat. Too bad as I was excited to find a new place for lunch.

Awesome food, great music, lots of room in the restaurant to sit down and eat. It's really clean and modern looking. We got the mixed platter and subbed out lamb since we don't eat it, but overall it was amazing. This could easily feed 4 people with normal appetites. The pita and Tzatziki with the orange feta sauce??? Unbeatable. Also had a Greek cola which was cool that they carry that. They have a couple of Greek goodies that are fun to try

The bug, looked like a green lady bug

This is my first review because I haven't been able to contact the store any other way. I ordered a bowl online while on a work trip to Boston and when I returned to my office I found a bug at the bottom of my bowl. Luckily I had not eaten yet, but I called the store and no one answered and I attempted to submit a comment on their website but it would not process through. Very disappointed with the food and the customer service.

This place is great for a quick bite. I got the lamb plate and the Greek baby donuts. The mini donuts are filled with oreo, hazelnut praline and powdered sugar. There's seating but it's minimal. But they do have a large table that many people can sit at. The service was very fast and friendly.

First time at Greco bc I was craving halloumi! Got the halloumi plate with rice and the spicy feta instead of parsley for the sauce. Ordering the guy was so friendly and nice and the rice was cooked fresh! Only took a little wait I was happy to do. They have my fav sparkling water MastiH2O. The plates food serving is huge. I'm definitely stuffed and glad I've never stopped in before when I was just peck ish. It's very good, personally too salty for me to the point that salt is the only seasoning I taste when I see others!? But still good. Not gross salty. And maybe it's a me thing. The halloumi hit the spot. Inside is very pretty and I like their decor and little trays!

I was please surprised with my Greco experience! This Mediterranean fast casual restaurant was very tasty and fresh. The workers were also friendly and were explaining to the previous customer before all of their options in detail which was made me excited for my food. I got the chicken plate with spicy feta and rice and a side of zucchini chips both which I would recommend. Portions were also very generous which does make the price point a little more reasonable. If in the seaport area, I'd recommend giving this place a try for a Mediterranean lunch!

This place is a good staple but not outstanding or memorable. The fries are tasty. The chicken plate is fine as well. It's a good serving portion of food. The bougatsa was a little disappointing. If you go here, you won't be disappointed. Personally, with so many things in the area I would be more likely to try somewhere else next time.

We ordered the meatballs, the souvla of the day and the salad. Everything was so tasty. You can't go wrong with anything here. The table next to us had the huge sampler which was about $240 but was one of every dish on the menu. This is a perfect choice for six to 8 people. Service was super friendly. They left a large bottle of water on the table, which I love. The restrooms were clean and well stocked. Go here! You won't regret it.

The menu refers to these as "Greek cheese bread" but somehow that doesn't do it justice - these were immensely pillowy and cheesy, with an amazing crust, with homemade honey butter on the side. I could have had just these for dinner and been satisfied. They really nailed the bread. My other favorites: 1. Hipiti: spicy whipped feta with crispy potatoes on the side. I don't do well with spice but I absolutely loved this. 2. Marouli: winter lettuce with the most amazing vinaigrette dressing. My only knock to this is, presentation-wise, they serve it with half of the plate empty and the other half with salad. I don't understand why restaurants do this because - one, it only highlights the smaller portion and two, we're just going to mix the salad all around in the bowl anyway. 3. Boudeto: daily catch in a beautiful tomato broth. For a seafood dish at a restaurant in Back Bay, this was priced at a fairly reasonable $28. The only dish that fell a little flat for me was the tzatziki - needed a bit more seasoning. As it was, I was eating mostly just plain yogurt. The table-side preparation was cool, though. The space is its own visual dinner, there's simply a lot to look at (including a drawing of Poseidon riding a surf board). We got the big table in the back, which was a beautiful glass structure with a whole terrarium underneath. We couldn't stop marveling at it throughout the meal. Our waiter was wonderful - very helpful recommendations, came by to check on us often even though we were pretty far in the back, super patient with our questions. Hard to get reservations but worth it! Don't bother driving / trying to find parking unless you're willing to eat a hefty garage fee, it's Back Bay.

The best authentic Greek food in the city!…read more Kava is well known for having incredible food, and it hits every time. It can be hard to get a reservation as you can only book up to 24 hours in advance, but we managed to walk in on a Saturday for lunch as a party of two! Located in a beautiful part of South End with some, but not a ton of street parking, the restaurant has a small space decorated with a "sea" theme with ropes and a big painting of a sailor. The food is the main draw, and the highlight is really authentically Greek dishes. We tried the Pantzaria (baked beets), kolokithakia (zucchini chips), kalamarakia tis skaras (grilled calamari), keftedes (Greek meatballs), and horiatiki (tomato/cucumber/feta salad). The highlights were definitively the zucchini chips which were so crunchy with a yummy dipping sauce or the calamari which were seasoned in this yummy caper oil sauce, or the keftedes which were perfectly cooked. The beets were pretty basic unseasoned beets, but I love beets and really enjoyed this as a low-acid side to the other food. Lastly, we tried the Greek coffee which came in little espresso cups and was soooo good, would highly recommend. We also have a severe anaphylactic nut/peanut allergy and they were easily able to accommodate and so knowledgeable! Overall we had an amazing time and will certainly be back.

Got to head over to Kava for a second round today and try some things I did not get around to last…read moretime, so here are my thoughts: The food REMAINS IMPECCABLE. I was obsessed with the octopus last time and it was once again grilled to perfection with excellent acidity. The zucchini chips were delightful (even as someone who hates zucchini's). The feta psiti was a comfort per usual. What blew me away and I was so excited to try was the lamb chops. They were cooked to perfection, the look was closer to a medium-well (we asked for medium) but the meat was still perfectly juicy and spiced. The mousaka was also lovely, I have only had this dish homemade and it certainly held its own... definitely had a homemade feel with a generous meat portion. The Roka salad was also lovely. As far as drinks go, I enjoyed my aperol spritz and my spicy margarita a lot, I especially like the tsipouro having tried it as a shot the first time, but I think if I were to go again, I might go for wine for a more consistent liquor content. Now let's talk about service. I want to preface that certain things would 1000% be overlooked had we reserved for a busier time, but we went in 15 minutes after opening and by the looks of it, there were more than enough servers for the tables filled in the patio. The first time that I tried Kava, part of the excellent experience was our server. They were such a sweet person who really took the time to bond with us, brought us a round on the house, and just checked on us and made sure we were always doing good. Today really lacked that element. As soon as we sat down, the server informed us that they were out of three small plates, which happens, but not 15 minutes after opening as this was the case. Nonetheless, we were able to order a lot of yummy things, so fine. We then asked if it would be possible to angle the umbrella some way or move to a different table so I would be covered from the scorching sun this afternoon, and our server said "just wait ten minutes, the sun will move behind the building..." I understand that I asked for a patio and obviously you cannot control the sun nor the weather, but I just feel like the situation could be handled a little better -- at least a better response. Then, my dad ordered a beer which was completely warm. We asked for another which was luke warm, so then he just asked for a cocktail instead. The server was kind enough to bring a cold beer on the house later, but again, right at open, you kind of expect things to be in order. Overall, our server was just kind of... there, not super attentive nor pleasant. Another thing, I tried to get around the Resy "day before" policy because the reservations for Sunday opened during my graduation ceremony on Saturday and I wanted to make sure I get my table especially as my parents were catching a flight, so I emailed management in advance per the host's instructions upon calling. We went back and forth rather unnecessarily (with very delayed replies on their part), then I got completely ghosted... Not sure why. I was eventually able to get a table by calling the host after my ceremony on Saturday and they were incredibly accommodating, but they also noted that this was a graduation celebration, yet there was no acknowledgment... I had a graduation dinner last year at a different establishment in Boston and our server went beyond to ensure a great experience and even brought out a hand-written card with our check. These details could really really help the Kava experience in my opinion. Finally, the servers bringing out the dishes were completely confused. Almost every single dish was brought to the wrong table before reaching us and we could see them running around the patio with our order... rather unprofessional. Ultimately, it is the service that leads me to dock a star from my previous rating. Had the food not been as consistently fantastic, I definitely would be docking more.
