    Landwer's Pancakes Eggs Benedict Florentine*

TLDR; Worth the hype. Don't go with large group. ---- Cafe Landwer was a great brunch spot, though a mixed bag in some ways. We came as a group of 6, and honestly the tables felt way too small for that -- we were pretty cramped trying to fit all our plates and share dishes comfortably. Worth keeping in mind if you're coming with a bigger group. Food-wise though, it delivered. The Landwer's Pancakes were the standout -- super thick and fluffy, and the combo of fresh fruit, Nutella, and syrup on top made every bite feel indulgent without being overly sweet. We also got the Landwer's Famous Breakfast, which was excellent if you're into sweet and savory pairings like I am -- such a satisfying mix on one plate. The Eggs Benedict were cooked perfectly, poached eggs and all, though I do wish it came with a meat option included instead of as an add-on. Feels like a small thing but it would round out the dish nicely without extra cost. Overall, great flavors and a solid brunch menu, just come prepared for tight seating if you're rolling in with a group. Would still come back, but maybe with a smaller crew or during an off-peak time. Not pictured but worth trying: Landwer's Shakshuka!

I was in the area for a wedding and stopped by for a quick breakfast. The staff is friendly and attentive. I ordered the shakshouka with the meat. Everything was delicious but their standard breakfast is what you should order. A lot of food and tasted great.

We discovered Cafe Landwer while walking around Copley Square. We ate there twice ( lunch and breakfast) in our 5 days trip in Boston. Food was fresh and very delicious. Ambience is nice, very historic and interesting pictures on the walls. Waiters were friendly and everything was on time.

Cafe Landwer is a legend that we stumbled upon on an early morning weekend walk down Boylston street. We didn't know what we were getting, but it simply thought it looked like a place we would love and clearly others knew as the place was packed with a wait (that was more that worth it). The atmosphere was energetic, full of light and color, and end-to-end charm. I have honestly never experienced a brunch like this. It was their famous breakfast served eggs your style, and a tray with small containers with various sauces and spreads (savory and sweet). It was fresh, delicious, and fulfilling. It was fabulous. The menu is full of great choices which explains why I am going to have to return again and again.

I've been to Cafe Landwer in Toronto and a different branch in Boston. The service and food is always consistent. However this branch in the back Bay Area was a disappointment. We were here early around 10am for breakfast. We were seated promptly, lots of space. However after being seated and given our menus, we waited a long time for someone to take our orders. We were the second or third group in the area and while we waited, the space filled up with other parties, they got attended to and got their orders. We had to get the servers attention multiple times before she came to us. The menu has a lot of options but they're not flexible at all. My friend who is vegan, does not like the fake eggs, and requested if they can replace them with falafel or something else. They can't. Everything is set to what the menu says. But at $20+ per plate, you'd expect some more flexibility. The food was ok, the breakfast plate had a lot of options but $21 for hummus and sides with two eggs and no sausage / meat? It's definitely a rip off. The food itself was just ok. Nothing out of the ordinary. It's very Americanized. If you want a true Mediterranean food, find yourself something more authentic in the burbs of Boston. Will not be coming back. Slow and inattentive service.

I had been wanting to try their Toronto branch but never had a chance, so when I realized they're in Boston, I made sure to have this as a part of my itinerary. And surely they didn't disappoint. We went for a lentil soup, falafel hummus bowl and a spinach goat cheese balanzoni pasta. All three rockstars. Surely recommend the lentil soup (especially on a cold day) and pasta. The service was nice. Parking seem to be challenging around the area (we Ubered to the location) but there's a metro station a few steps away, Definitely recommended.

I really enjoyed this cafe, the service was great and the food was very tasty. The chicken shawarma was moist and well seasoned. If you want hot sauce they'll give you this pepper relish and it was actually spicy, which I appreciated. The breakfast potatoes were so crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the perfect combination.

The food here is so good. I honestly don't think there's a single dish I haven't liked. And the rosalach... actually insane. Like, I'm still thinking about it when I write this review.. yeah it's that good.

I had dinner here with my dad and younger sister. 5 stars for the food, however the service was very mediocre- the staff weren't exactly unfriendly but they were all sort of sluggish and did not seem happy to be there. The interior is nice, the only thing is that the bathroom is quite far away, in the building next door. The menu has a lot of labelled vegan options. I had the vegan french stir fry, which was extremely good. The soy meat they used was actually among the best I've ever had. My dad had wanted to get the lamb chops but they were out, so he got the aireis instead. My sister really enjoyed the tomato basil pasta. They also offer a kids menu.

This is a bright, beautiful and busy restaurant with high ceilings and cheery decor. It is my elderly father-in-law's neighborhood spot. The menu offers something for everyone, including vegan and gluten-free options. Unfortunately, we came at 8:35 last night and were treated terribly by a young blonde woman who insisted that the kitchen was closing. A tall young man recognized my father-in-law and offered the option to take out food. Another young woman with dark hair brought us water and offered to take our order, but the blonde came over and insisted we had to go to the counter to place a takeout order. She was incredibly rude and scolded her colleagues in front of us. We asked for a manager and it seems this blonde server was in charge of FOH. Other people were eating and we promised to eat and run, but she was adamant that we must leave. Our takeout order came and we left. We came back for Sunday brunch and it was stellar. Catarina could not be nicer and the kitchen is turning out delicious food all around. I hope the Cafe will retrain the blonde who was so abrupt on a Saturday night.

I'm always a fan of cafe landwer for brunch. Their menu has unique items and everything tastes good! My party of 4 was seated right away, their space rolls over to the adjacent room. Our service was speedy and we got our food quickly. I got the famous schnitzel, which was very large and super crispy. We also got the pumpkin waffles which came with a pumpkin whip cream. So good!

Always a reliable classic for any meal of the day. The food here is solid, the pancakes specifically are always really good, and the fact that it comes with whipped cream and fruits and Nutella (not just butter and maple syrup like usual), makes it really special. Also had the halloumi shakshuka which is pretty good too. Others have mentioned that the service can be a challenge here, we didn't see anyone after our food was served when trying to get the check.

The food was good, but it took way too long to get service. They were out of cold brew and all forms of iced coffee. It also took 2 trips back to our table and 10 minutes for us to be told that.

We took an Uber there right after we landed and were able to walk right in and get a table when they opened, which worked out perfectly because the place started to fill up! It's a cute little spot with plenty of seating inside, and they also had a nice outdoor parklet that would be great in good weather. Every search for…read morebreakfast spots mentioned Mike & Patty's as a must stop for the best breakfast sandwich you're going to get anywhere. Enough said! I'm a huge breakfast fanatic, especially a good breakfast sandwich or burrito. This is the original location that was started by two friends and has grown to multiple other locations since. We took an Uber here from our hotel. I imagine if you drive over here, parking will be a challenge. It's almost easy to miss. It sits on a corner of a brick building with just writing on the windows. In all my research I did not catch that it is the smallest restaurant in Boston at only 175 square feet. It's basically a room with most of the space taken by the tiny kitchen. There's also a little tiny ledge on the window with a couple of stools for those who may want to dine in. Customers including us took turns walking in and putting in our orders and then stepping out to make room for more people. It had a steady line the whole time we were there. Hours are limited from 7:30-2 so don't delay. Customer service was straight business, kind of the norm in Boston. Their menu is breakfast sandwiches, a couple of burritos and some lunch options like a turkey sandwich, BLT, or a Rueben. For sides, they have hashbrowns or a plain English muffin. For a small menu, they do have quite a few drink options like coffee, tea, juices, and different flavored milks including banana milk which I have never seen. For their food, they use high quality ingredients from local farms and purveyors and have their own bakery for their bread. My eyes fixated on the Breakfast Grilled Crack mainly for the name, but also all the ingredients looked tasty. It was quality eggs, bacon, four cheeses on sourdough bread. I went extra and added sausage to it as well. I also got OJ to wash it down. We realized our only option to eat comfortably was to go back to our hotel lobby to eat. Even with the travel time, the sandwich was nice and warm and the bread was still nice and crispy from the griddle. This sandwich was indeed one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had. I almost felt guilty eating it because of how rich and cheesy it was. I would skip the hash brown next time. It did not travel well nor did it have anything special going on with it. Hands down one of my favorite meals of the trip that I would absolutely do again if I am in the area.
