I was in the city with my friend to take our bikes for a ride. Around noon we started getting hungry and I was craving cava. It is located in a busy area, which made for a livelier experience. When we arrived, we eyed some outdoor seats, so we rushed inside to order food hoping they'd still be available. I was going to order one of their pre made bowls but I couldn't resist the freedom of building my own. I went with a super green and brown rice base, harissa chicken as my protein, roasted eggplant, harissa, and crazy feta for the sides, with all the toppings, and a garlic sauce. I got a side of harissa pita chips with a green dipping sauce. It is by far one of the best lunches I have had in my life! There's just so many flavors in one bowl, and everything was very fresh. The harissa chicken is very tender and flavorful. I heard that harissa chips are going away....I am willing to sign any campaign to have them stay on the menu permanently. We did end up getting the seats outside but they really do need more chairs. I'm not sure if they get relocated to other places over time, but I think there were 8 tables (2-4 people) and 4 chairs. The prices are good for the quality of food you're getting. Their drinks are unique and good as well. We mixed a couple lemonades together, which enhanced the flavors. read more

Cava isn't in my local area, and I was so excited to try it which I did for the first time. Now that I feel like I'm a quick-serve bowl connoisseur having tried many of the big chains, I was satisfied with Cava, but I didn't think their offering was as compelling as others. I love going to this CAVA location! I prefer it over the one that's inside Prudential honestly and oftentimes even when I am inside the mall shopping and start to get hungry, I will go outside and walk across the street to go here, instead of going to the one right inside. Something about how they prep their ingredients, not sure exactly what it is, but MUCH better! They also are much more generous with portions, and I end up getting two meals out of one bowl! I love getting their harissa honey chicken with saffron rice, arugula, corn, cucumber + tomato mix, broccoli, pickled onions, and garlic sauce. Sometimes I do half/half meat, with half harissa chicken and lamb meatballs! For drinks, I love mixing their juices... makes for the best beverage to pair with your meal! The people that work here are genuinely miserable. I always make it a point to be kind , smile and ask how are you before placing my order. This is my 4th or 5th time coming to this location and every single time the staff look and act like theyd rather be anywhere else. If im being nice to you, can you at least match my energy? I've visited a few times since this is the location closest to me, and unfortunately something always throws off the visit. I always get the same bowl, the Falafel crunch which is consistently delicious, but the mediocre service has been a pattern here. I can tell the staff don't know how to make the bowl, and each time I've had to request to add an ingredient that should be there like lettuce or certain veggies. One time I had to repeat 3 times to get the side pita bread for the staff member to finally bring it. Another time they charged someone else in the line my bowl, and they had to refund them and it was an inconvenience. Their rewards scanner also hasn't worked everytime I scan. Finally, they charged me for a chicken bowl I didn't get instead of the falafel crunch, but luckily it was the same price, so I would make sure to read your receipt carefully. Cava has been hyped up for so long, and I finally got the opportunity to try it out for myself. And boy oh boy, did it live up to the hype! Cava was so delicious that I ended up having it twice consecutively for dinner, and for a Yelp elite foodie, that's saying something. Each time I got a grain bowl where I selected all the fixing with the standard chicken. It was super fresh and delicious, each bite a different flavor blast! So much tasty food. Hello! We were hungry and wanted something quick and easy- healthy and vegetarian friendly! CAVA looked busy and their line was moving quickly so we figured it would be a good place to grab a fast casual meal. The spot is great if you're looking to customize your meal (think salad or bowl) style. It very much reminded me of a speedy Chipotle that was on the healthier side with a Mediterrean twist and better condiments/sauces. You start with your base (think salad, spring mix, rice, lentils, etc). Then you add your protein (chicken, falafel, steak, etc), veggies, sauces and dips. The price was reasonable for the bowl we got and they do have an assortment of dressings etc to give your meal more flavor. There are lots of drink options as well (sparkling water, soda, water, fruit drinks, etc). I had to deduct one star because they did not have forks (they ran out so I used a spoon to scoop up my salad), the condiments station was bare (no one was refilling them), the trash was FULL and filled to the rim, the bathrooms downstairs did not have any toilet paper and needed cleaning. Every staff member looked rushed (hire more staff please) but they were still very kind and friendly even when inpatient customers were being rude. Limited seating if / when busy but overall lots of places to sit down when not busy. There is a downstairs area that has additional tables but they're close to the restroom and can be distracting trying to eat and hear people flushing toilets. read more

CAVA is a great Mediterranean alternative to fast food restaurants, or even other sit-down restaurants. They have healthy options on their menu, whether it's their wraps, bowls, or make your own. When I'm hungry but don't have a lot of time, CAVA is a staple for me. I tend to get the make-your-own pitas and bowls, which are pretty similar every time. I get brown rice + spinach with crazy feta and tzatziki sauce, falafel + roasted vegetables, tomato + cucumber salad, corn, cabbage slaw, lentil tabbouleh, avocado, and garlic &/ lemon herb tahini dressing. Everything is delicious and I love their falafel, all for about $11! You only get 4 falafels but with all the other fixins, it's the perfect amount of food. Placed a mobile order and got there ~5 minutes before pick up time. 4 people in line at the time. Took them 40 minutes and had to ask at least 10 times for them to make my order while I stood there waiting at the pick up counter. I'd guess 75-100 people went through the line before they started making mine. Don't bother ordering pickup here. When I finally did get my order, it was incorrect and I had to have it remade. When I caught someone's attention to remake it, there was no urgency to correct the mistake. We had a good experience at this Cava location. Apparently, it's a chain but their food was really good and didn't feel standardized due to the many options you can choose from. I had a Greek chicken bowl with RightRice which was delicious. All of the ingredients were really fresh, and it was filling while feeling healthy at the same time. My husband enjoyed his spicy lamb meatball bowl, which had just the right amount of heat. They have a nice drink menu; we had fun mixing and matching the juice and tea options. Try half blueberry lavender and half cucumber lime mint - yum! Service was good, very businesslike. We'd eat here again if we return to Boston. read more

This is one of the worst cava locations I've been to. The toppings looked old, staff was rude, didn't even wear gloves while touching bowl.

CAVA never disappoints. Everything always tastes super fresh and well made. The service is friendly as well. There is plenty of seating due to there being both an upstairs and a downstairs. I recommend sitting upstairs as there are no windows downstairs, so it lacks natural light. Besides the food my favorite things at CAVA are the cucumber mint lime and the blueberry lavender drinks. Both are def a must try, and it's free refills, so why not. 10/10 been coming coming and still coming back. read more

This was my first time trying out Cava and it was a blast. I had to give myself a couple of minutes to try to decide what I want cause everything sounded sooo good. I got one of the bowls and pita chips. The price was a bit on the higher side but they delivered with the portion size and the taste. The pita chips are a have to. Eating them with the bowl definiely elevates the taste and experience of the bowl adding a lot of crunch and texture. The environment was pretty good. Very greatful for a Cava in pricey and bougie Back Bay. A lot of chains and healthy bowl spots just don't cut it for me, but Cava has become a go-to. I love that the chicken is smokey and quite moist. Also a fan of the spicy falafel, fire roasted corn, pickled onions, harissa, skhug dressing, pita chips, Maine soda.... there are a lot of delicious options! The ability to customize your bowl without hidden fees is very appreciated. The only reason for a lower review is the few times I've come here, I've ordered online and I've had missing and/or added items. I really hate when there's a missing protein or something you hate added (in my case, cheese since my stomach doesn't handle dairy well). I know this location is very busy but this could be dangerous for someone with a dietary restriction... not to mention, it is simply disappointing to be missing some of your carefully selected items. First thing I noticed as soon as I walked in was how unprofessional and lazy the staff looked. They were sitting on the tables that we eat on and just seemed to sit around. When I went to order they were rude and dismissive and didnt even wear gloves. They served me what looked like old rice and and only one old falafel. I had gotten balsamic vinaigrette and it was chunky and veylry unappetizing. All of the toppings looked old and they didnt seem to care to refill any of the toppings even though it was 4 hours before closing. When I had finally sat down to eat my food, I asked the staff for a water cup, when they told me they didnt have any left, but once I sat down I could literally see under the soda machine they had plenty. While eating the workers were just sitting around yelling and stood on what looked to be the stove they used. To top it all off I woke up to myself throwing up everywhere and now im in the doctors getting checked for food poisoning. I go to Cava almost twice a week since I work nearby, and this was by far the the worst experience I have had. This has absolutely deterred me from ever going there or eating Cava again. read more
