I was in the city with my friend to take our bikes for a ride. Around noon we started getting hungry and I was craving cava. It is located in a busy area, which made for a livelier experience. When we arrived, we eyed some outdoor seats, so we rushed inside to order food hoping they'd still be available. I was going to order one of their pre made bowls but I couldn't resist the freedom of building my own. I went with a super green and brown rice base, harissa chicken as my protein, roasted eggplant, harissa, and crazy feta for the sides, with all the toppings, and a garlic sauce. I got a side of harissa pita chips with a green dipping sauce. It is by far one of the best lunches I have had in my life! There's just so many flavors in one bowl, and everything was very fresh. The harissa chicken is very tender and flavorful. I heard that harissa chips are going away....I am willing to sign any campaign to have them stay on the menu permanently. We did end up getting the seats outside but they really do need more chairs. I'm not sure if they get relocated to other places over time, but I think there were 8 tables (2-4 people) and 4 chairs. The prices are good for the quality of food you're getting. Their drinks are unique and good as well. We mixed a couple lemonades together, which enhanced the flavors.

It was good - I got the falafel bowl but I think the falafel was a little soggy, i wish it was slightly crispier I did love everything else in the bowl and loved how they filled up the bowl with all the toppings

Mediterranean chipotle! My first time coming to CAVA. Such a great concept. I love all the selections. The food is delicious. I thought appropriately Priced. The service was fast and efficient. Ambience was clean and inviting.

LOVE Cava. Food is so good. Differs based on the location, but overall good place and good service.

I remember it was good when it was catered in. Last couple times it just wasn't as good and not sure why. It got spicy to where it was unpleasant. Less is more as in don't add everything you can just because it is included. Just a few things and a few hummus type toppings can make it or break it. It could have been more hot and fresh and the service was sort of blah. Ambiance wise cannot say since seating area/tables is shared with other nearby restaurants (located inside a mall)

Cava is one of my favorite fast casual restaurants! You can always expect good food for a decent price. Was excited to see that there was one just outside the train station, which was convenient for me. The service here was 10 out of 10. I tried the new falafel bowl, which was great!

CAVA is a great location for a quick and delicious carbo loading before the Boston Marathon. My first time did not disappoint - I wish we had them in Minneapolis (@ the CAVA CEO). Would recommend to anyone looking for a quick but fresh bite :)

Cava has been hyped up for so long, and I finally got the opportunity to try it out for myself. And boy oh boy, did it live up to the hype! Cava was so delicious that I ended up having it twice consecutively for dinner, and for a Yelp elite foodie, that's saying something. Each time I got a grain bowl where I selected all the fixing with the standard chicken. It was super fresh and delicious, each bite a different flavor blast! So much tasty food. Cava follows the standard chipotle playbook, with a fast casual setup and quick friendly service. Overall highly recommend cava, and make sure to get the pita chips! Chefs kiss!

These bowls have so much flavor and taste to them. The ingredients are super fresh and amazing and the sauce is an amazing flavor add as well. I loved the harissa vinaigrette and had a wonderful taste of spice. Overall, would recommend coming to this place.

This is one of the worst cava locations I've been to. The toppings looked old, staff was rude, didn't even wear gloves while touching bowl.

Okay, for a solo adventure I chose the bar and yes, they took me to a seat there. Looking at the menu I knew it was tapas style going in but before I could really start looking at anything the bar tender said, "or, there's a chef tasting." Okay, stop there, let's just do that and add the meat and fish option. To start was the Strawberry Fattoush - Little Gems, Cucumber, Pomegranate Vinaigrette, Pita Chips, Sumac - amazing. Next was the Warm Buttered Hummus - Basturma, Tomato, Black Olive. Still doing great! Then the Fried Mussels - Hot Peppers, Turkish Almond Tarator Sauce. Can't say I have ever had those before! The Spinach Falafel - Tahini, Beet Tzatziki, Pickles was next. Though you could roll it up, eating it that way was pointless. Back to the knife and fork. After that was the Grilled Asparagus - Sorrel Aioli, Puffed Black Rice, Bergamot Honey. Probably the most familiar looking dish of the night. Then the Sultan's Delight - Tamarind Beef, Smoky Eggplant Purée, Basil. Aamazing! Still going after that was the Swordfish - Nettle Freekah, Red Pepper Tahini, Buttermilk Fried Fiddle Heads. Then finally the Turkish-Style Profiteroles - Brown Butter Crème, Sesame Caramel Cashews, Halva with something else on the side. All of this with a Shepherds Pilsner which I believe is my first brew from Palestine. Who knew that was possible? Needless to say, the meal was quite an adventure. Definitely worth it. All amazing as was the service at the bar!

They were also great about letting me sample things before deciding on a drink! This has been on my list for a really long time, and I had seen Oleana frequently recognized as one of the best restaurants in Boston, so I was pretty excited to finally go. I have to say I wasn't blown away but also not disappointed. The portions were absolutely miniature for the price. The zaatar bread was very fluffy and the spread was flavorful but nothing I would order again. Similarly. The fatteh was one of the most reviewed dishes online. The flavor was unique but ultimately fell a little flat for me (basically tastes like lightly cooked cauliflower with caramelized onions, and a light creamy sauce). I will say the one thing that I felt like really did live up to the hype was the Sultan's delight (short rib)- it was truly so good. I liked the marigold and my glass of wine but the limited liquor license certainly restricts their offerings. Ambiance was nothing too unique. Overall, I would probably give this close to like a 3.9 but rounded up.

The menu refers to these as "Greek cheese bread" but somehow that doesn't do it justice - these were immensely pillowy and cheesy, with an amazing crust, with homemade honey butter on the side. I could have had just these for dinner and been satisfied. They really nailed the bread. My other favorites: 1. Hipiti: spicy whipped feta with crispy potatoes on the side. I don't do well with spice but I absolutely loved this. 2. Marouli: winter lettuce with the most amazing vinaigrette dressing. My only knock to this is, presentation-wise, they serve it with half of the plate empty and the other half with salad. I don't understand why restaurants do this because - one, it only highlights the smaller portion and two, we're just going to mix the salad all around in the bowl anyway. 3. Boudeto: daily catch in a beautiful tomato broth. For a seafood dish at a restaurant in Back Bay, this was priced at a fairly reasonable $28. The only dish that fell a little flat for me was the tzatziki - needed a bit more seasoning. As it was, I was eating mostly just plain yogurt. The table-side preparation was cool, though. The space is its own visual dinner, there's simply a lot to look at (including a drawing of Poseidon riding a surf board). We got the big table in the back, which was a beautiful glass structure with a whole terrarium underneath. We couldn't stop marveling at it throughout the meal. Our waiter was wonderful - very helpful recommendations, came by to check on us often even though we were pretty far in the back, super patient with our questions. Hard to get reservations but worth it! Don't bother driving / trying to find parking unless you're willing to eat a hefty garage fee, it's Back Bay.

Given that Mediterranean cuisine is generally pretty accommodating to that, not having even a falafel option for protein certainly came as a surprise! My first time here, we ended up with the fish and chips and baklava - both were edible but not great, and the best item on the table ended up being the complimentary bread (lots of end pieces, which I'm personally a fan of, but others may feel differently). The fish was uninspired and didn't taste like much, and the chips were steak fries, which lived up to the reputation of being less crunchy and seasoned. I was really excited for the baklava, but it also ended up disappointing. The texture was hardened, like it wasn't fresh, and it was so overpoweringly sweet that we couldn't finish it. On my second visit, the bread was just as good, and we ordered a nice spread: fried zucchini, spanakopita, beef dolmades, rice pilaf, and gyro (without meat). The gyro was sad without falafel or any protein option, but the veggies inside were pretty good. On the other hand, I wasn't a huge fan of any of the appetizers/sides. The fried zucchini was incredibly oily and wet, without much flavor; the rice pilaf did have some sauce on top but wasn't particularly tasty. The spanakopita was decent but I wouldn't go out of my way to order it again. I will note, however, that the staff was excellent, attentive and accommodating. The outdoor patio was also quite nice and a beautiful spot to sit on the street and people-watch.
