Over the years I have come to find Dave's Hot Chicken as one of the most consistent fast food-style chicken restaurants in the country. As they expand, there are more Dave's locations popping up everywhere. I checked this one out after seeing a movie at the AMC on Boston Common. It was my first time trying their hot mozz fried mozzarella sticks. I got the 5 piece which turned about to be too much, as they are massive. Plus the fries and pickles. I questioned whether I would get that classic cheese pull with the mozzarella sticks being so thick but sure enough, they managed to get it perfectly crispy on the outside and molten melting on the inside. I would definitely get these again. This is a good location too, close to Boston Common and a lot of other options. I preferred the slider to the plain tender, but regardless, the chicken was served piping hot and was very tender and juicy. It had a nice crisp and paired well with their Dave's sauce, and I love that you can get any level of spice you desire. The tenders are large too, so it was plenty of food. While we were impressed with chicken, the fries were pretty standard, and a little side of something would have been nice...I think the hot spicy chicken left me wanting a cool potato salad or something refreshing, rather than fries. The menu is pretty limited. The biggest disappointment was the iced tea. It seems the machine was malfunctioning as no matter which flavor tea we tried, they all seemed to be 90% water and 10% tea. Pretty yummy! This place is kept pretty clean, and there's a code to use the bathroom. Food came out hot and fresh. I will also say that there's a ghost kitchen that operates outside of this establishment, and I'm not a fan of that. We were looking for the ghost kitchen, and came here. We enjoyed our meals, but it's a bit misleading. Staff is very friendly, and this is a great location for this place. read more

Tried the extra hot but it wasn't spicy enough for the hype, I have had better level of spice under the top. Drinks options So many shakes and the usual soda. Seating options are open seating and enough seats to have a group of 4 to sit. Pricing is slightly high, sauces are included with the sliders. Overall I had an average experience, quality and speed of delivery brings up the star rating. A local branches in CT are opening, will give them a try one more time. I came here in the afternoon and there was only 1 other person who had got there order and left, so I'm not sure why it took so long. I ordered a medium slider and a mild chicken tender, but when I was eating I noticed the slider was not spicy and realized it was switched. The chicken was crispy and it definitely needs the sauce to add more flavor. The pickles were a good palate cleanser after eating all the fried food. I think if you are good with spices extra hot will be good but hot is good for people not too good with spicy food. I've been to dave's before and the chicken sandwich was okay. I thought it was would go back and try a milkshake on my way home from work. To say that my experience was disappointing is an understatement. I walk in to an empty restaurant and all the staff are chatting together in a circle and ignoring me at the register after making eye contact with me. I wait a couple minutes before someone takes my order. Very simple, a chocolate milkshake. What i received was the most disgusting thing ever, seemed like rancid milk and very bitter chocolate barely mixed together. It was the consistency of milk, not thick at all like you would expect a milkshake to be. I took a couple sips and had to throw it out because it immediately made my stomach sick.
