After reading a travel blog that suggested Greco we decided to give them a try. Greco is like Chipotle for Greek food but instead of making your choices at the counter you make them on a device by the entrance. The restaurant decor is modern meets Greek island and the staff were helpful. I tried the chicken bowl and ordered the zucchini chips. If you are looking for something healthy and veg heavy you'll like Greco. My only complaint is that one of the bowl ingredients was salty for my taste and I had them hold the olives so it wasn't the olives. My husband and I ordered a Greek Feast. The platter came out hot, everything was freshly made and worth the wait. It was able to feed both my husband and I twice. It was definitely a good meal to feast on after a long day of shopping downtown on a late Saturday afternoon. There was plenty of seating to choose from since it wasn't too busy. I haven't tried their actual food yet so this is a preview review, if you will... lol. I have been here twice (surprisingly makes a good study environment, for me, at least). I have tried their zucchini chips and Loukoumades (Greek donuts)! Their customer service is good, no complaints, always ask what I want and if I have any questions. Their zucchini chips are great, 4/5, only because there a few soggy ones here and there but no biggie. Their loukoumades are good too I just have some objections... 3/5. I ordered the honey ones which come with Greek honey, some walnuts, and powder which I'm assuming is cinnamon? Correct me if I'm wrong though! I was in town for business and this spot caught my eye when I was walking to CVS. The interior is pretty large, which is necessary considering the line was long. It was a hot day and I was grateful to be standing in the air conditioning. I also really liked the upbeat dance music that was playing. There are several tables, but it seemed like most guests took their lunch to go. The employees were hard working and friendly (you can see them in the kitchen shaving off pieces of meat while it cooks). I got the lamb gyro plate with spicy feta and fried zucchini as well as a Greek iced tea. The lamb was not the most flavorful but it was all around very good. Really disappointing portion and ratios of food. The side of my container where you see yoghurt sauce literally had nothing under just heels of yoghurt sauce. And for a salad this had less than a handful of lettuce. In addition, the container is quite small. This costs over 20 bucks and was half a portion of Sweetgreen. I do not recommend. Holy hell, this place is ginormous. It is pretty unusual to have such a large space which is pretty empty, strange layout. I was trying to figure out the menu & what was what, since it didn't seem to flow very well. It needs ot be easier to figure out all their options. While the food is ok, it could be better, especially when looking for healthier vegan options. They could really get some greens & other veggies to make it better. I work close by and needed a hearty lunch in a pinch, so checked out Greco - ordered the Delphine salad bowl with chicken and eggplant sauce. It was a good sized portion that kept me full without feeling bloated but wow, talk about inflation. A salad + drink was about $18. First time at Greco bc I was craving halloumi! Got the halloumi plate with rice and the spicy feta instead of parsley for the sauce. Ordering the guy was so friendly and nice and the rice was cooked fresh! Only took a little wait I was happy to do. They have my fav sparkling water MastiH2O. The plates food serving is huge. I've been to more than one Greco here in the Boston area. Food is always great. Service is fast and friendly

when working in the city there are a plethora of easy convenient options for lunch that can be overwhelming. I forgot to pack lunch today so needed something fast, easy, and delicious to carry me thru the rest of my day. I did a bit of yelp searching and found high praises for Greco. It was an easy walk from the office and was not packed as some places I passed. I worried that at noon time in the city without a big line I might end up being disappointed. I was not. I opted to order the standard lamb gyro. They have many other options from salads to plates etc, but I thought if they can get the lamb right then I will come back to try other options. The was a huge gyro with plenty of meat. The tzatziki was divine, smooth, rich, creamy. the lamb was succulent and to my happy surprise cooked beautifully and even the crispier bits were good! I know some greeks put fries in the gyros, but I had yet to have one with them included. It was nice. they were super well seasoned, but I dunno, not really needed? I would have maybe liked a bit more red onion, they were sparse, and the tomato was sliced, not diced so kinda not fun to get a huge slice in a bite. I almost got some of the greek donuts or later, but gosh I am glad I didn't because I am so full. Well priced for the city, well decorated, and very clean. As you can see, yes I recommend it! I really like to eat plates because I like the mix of rice, a side, and the main course. I regretted it after I had a bite of my wife's gyro. Next time just get the gyro! I also got the lamb, which was a little too gamey for me (I like lamb) and wifey got the pork which was delicious. It's tucked away on milk street, close to washington. If you're on milk and hit shake shack, you judged missed it. I definitely recommend folks to give it a try, it was clean and had a few options. The food was acceptable, but nothing remarkable. The lamb pita was moderately spiced and the meat was a bit tough. Chicken skewers were also less spiced than I expect of quality Greek food. The spanakopita(feta and spinach roll) was terrible because they used a pie crust as the wrap instead of phyllo dough. The environment is very industrial and moderately clean. TLDR: Another great spot! I've eaten a fair amount at the Greco on Newbury and this location does a great job as well. The inside is much bigger than the other Greco and has the sleek white color of fast modern restaurants. Food is great as usual. I generally go for the chicken plate with a side of zucchini chips. That's some mighty fine Greek. Had pork gyro. Great pork. Really great tzatziki. And, believe it or not, the fries they put in there were really good, as well. Onions included. Flavorful, sat well, and fresh. Also had the avgolemono. Pretty good. Kind of thin with a starchy taste. I got the impression it was cornstarch thickened and didn't cook enough to gel. Still tasty but is probably better most days than what I got. My friend got the zucchini chips. Wow, those were good. Spacious place with great food and service. I've always loved the Newbury street location and was glad they opened up one downtown. Their lamb gyro always hits the spot and is very filling.
