    Half chicken half steak bowl
    Kit D.

Stopped at Gyroscope because I was craving Greek food and I wanted it FAST. Right off the bat, I felt extremely welcomed-- the staff is so nice and patient!!! I explained that it was my first time, and the manager was so kind to explain what every ingredient was one by one to me. I went for a half regular chicken (though, was eyeing the spicy chicken... next time) and half steak plate. It came with yellow rice, and I added veggies to it. I also added tzatziki. The plate was very decently priced, about $11. Everything tasted very good! The steak was a bit chewy, I enjoyed the grilled chicken more. If I'm ever on Huntington craving Greek food again, I'll be back!

Go-to spot to pick up food. Quick service for a reasonable price, and the portions are enough for two meals. I usually order the falafel which is a little bit dry, but the other parts of the bowl are redeeming.

I ordered two things: a grilled sirloin gyro and zucchini fitters. I LOVED the fritters but was not a fan of the gyro. To begin, all the toppings I requested were not added which was a bit disappointing. I should've gone with tzatziki sauce instead of spicy harissa for a creamier and more refreshing experience. I thought the meat was under seasoned, a bit tough, and undercooked in some parts. The fitters though....those were amazing. The best comparison I could make is to the flavor of onion rings. The consistency is like a clam cake and a biscuit put together. There really isn't much of a zucchini flavor but the caramelized onions they're stuffed with taste amazing. They were fried perfectly. I wish they came with more tzatziki sauce on the side.

Always my go to stop when I need a big, fulfilling lunch. Super friendly staff and a great rewards program ! Their homemade pita is what makes their gyros stand out!

I got the same thing and they gave me more toppings this time. Much better value and made me happy :-)

He claims that he the owner and told me that this is how he serves food.

I tried giving them a chance to correct their mistake. Shitty service ever. I've been a loyal customer for two years and now their service is absolute crap. Server could not wrap the gyro and when I asked him (politely) 'can you wrap it please'. He said I'm eating too much and he denied to wrap it.

Decent pizza from this place. The dough is nice and thick with a solid crust. Baklava is really flaky and has a lot of honey at the bottom. Would definitely come again

First time customer today. I was helped by a super friendly staff who kindly and patiently guided me through all the options they have. I eventually got a plate with rice, all the veggies, garlic yogurt sauce (fantastic), smoky eggplant sauce ( forgot the name but super good), non spicy chicken, braised lamb, zucchini falafel, grape leaf. All for $13. I loved EVERY SINGLE THING in my plate!!! I can't say enough about this place! Hands down the best Greek food of this kind I've tried! Will be a regular for sure!

Rice tastes too much like butter, it overpowers the rest of the food which is semi-bland. 3/4 of your plate is rice too.

We ordered two flavors: Olive Oil & Sea Salt and Caramel & Pistachio, both priced at $7. I'll admit, it's a fun concept and a nice addition to the menu. The Olive Oil & Sea Salt was refreshing and had a subtle savory touch that made it different from your typical frozen yogurt. The Caramel & Pistachio was my favorite of the two, with the crunchy pistachios adding a nice texture and the caramel giving it just enough sweetness. That said, I had a hard time justifying the price. While the frozen yogurt tasted good, the serving size was fairly small, and I never really felt like I was getting $7 worth of dessert. It felt more like an Instagram-worthy upsell than something I'd go out of my way to order again. I'm glad I tried it because I was curious after seeing so many posts online, and now I can officially check it off my list. If you're already at Saloniki and want to try something a little different, I'd say it's worth ordering once just for the experience. Overall, I'd give it 3/5 stars. It's refreshing, unique, and a fun twist on frozen yogurt, but I don't think the value matches the price. I probably wouldn't come back specifically for the frozen yogurt again.

I was obsessed with the octopus last time and it was once again grilled to perfection with excellent acidity. The zucchini chips were delightful (even as someone who hates zucchini's). The feta psiti was a comfort per usual. What blew me away and I was so excited to try was the lamb chops. They were cooked to perfection, the look was closer to a medium-well (we asked for medium) but the meat was still perfectly juicy and spiced. The mousaka was also lovely, I have only had this dish homemade and it certainly held its own... definitely had a homemade feel with a generous meat portion. The Roka salad was also lovely. As far as drinks go, I enjoyed my aperol spritz and my spicy margarita a lot, I especially like the tsipouro having tried it as a shot the first time, but I think if I were to go again, I might go for wine for a more consistent liquor content. Now let's talk about service. I want to preface that certain things would 1000% be overlooked had we reserved for a busier time, but we went in 15 minutes after opening and by the looks of it, there were more than enough servers for the tables filled in the patio. The first time that I tried Kava, part of the excellent experience was our server. They were such a sweet person who really took the time to bond with us, brought us a round on the house, and just checked on us and made sure we were always doing good. Today really lacked that element. As soon as we sat down, the server informed us that they were out of three small plates, which happens, but not 15 minutes after opening as this was the case. Nonetheless, we were able to order a lot of yummy things, so fine. We then asked if it would be possible to angle the umbrella some way or move to a different table so I would be covered from the scorching sun this afternoon, and our server said "just wait ten minutes, the sun will move behind the building..." I understand that I asked for a patio and obviously you cannot control the sun nor the weather, but I just feel like the situation could be handled a little better -- at least a better response. Then, my dad ordered a beer which was completely warm. We asked for another which was luke warm, so then he just asked for a cocktail instead. The server was kind enough to bring a cold beer on the house later, but again, right at open, you kind of expect things to be in order. Overall, our server was just kind of... there, not super attentive nor pleasant. Another thing, I tried to get around the Resy "day before" policy because the reservations for Sunday opened during my graduation ceremony on Saturday and I wanted to make sure I get my table especially as my parents were catching a flight, so I emailed management in advance per the host's instructions upon calling. We went back and forth rather unnecessarily (with very delayed replies on their part), then I got completely ghosted... Not sure why. I was eventually able to get a table by calling the host after my ceremony on Saturday and they were incredibly accommodating, but they also noted that this was a graduation celebration, yet there was no acknowledgment... I had a graduation dinner last year at a different establishment in Boston and our server went beyond to ensure a great experience and even brought out a hand-written card with our check. These details could really really help the Kava experience in my opinion. Finally, the servers bringing out the dishes were completely confused. Almost every single dish was brought to the wrong table before reaching us and we could see them running around the patio with our order... rather unprofessional. Ultimately, it is the service that leads me to dock a star from my previous rating. Had the food not been as consistently fantastic, I definitely would be docking more.

The format is build-your-own bowl or pita, similar to other assembly-style restaurants, but with bold Mediterranean flavors and plenty of fresh toppings to work with. The ordering line moves efficiently, even during busy lunch hours. The space is clean and modern, with a casual atmosphere that makes it easy to grab food to-go or sit down for a quick bite. Staff are usually friendly and generous with portions, especially when it comes to the dips and toppings. The menu offers a solid variety of bases like rice, greens, or lentils, along with proteins such as grilled chicken, lamb meatballs, and falafel. The real highlight is the spreads and toppings, hummus, harissa, tzatziki, roasted vegetables, pickled onions, and more which add layers of flavor and texture. It's easy to customize depending on whether you want something lighter or more filling. Portions are satisfying, though the cost can add up depending on your choices. Overall, CAVA is a reliable option when you're craving something flavorful but not too heavy. It's especially convenient for a quick lunch or casual dinner, and the customizable format makes it easy to switch things up each visit.

I went with a super green and brown rice base, harissa chicken as my protein, roasted eggplant, harissa, and crazy feta for the sides, with all the toppings, and a garlic sauce. I got a side of harissa pita chips with a green dipping sauce. It is by far one of the best lunches I have had in my life! There's just so many flavors in one bowl, and everything was very fresh. The harissa chicken is very tender and flavorful. I heard that harissa chips are going away....I am willing to sign any campaign to have them stay on the menu permanently. We did end up getting the seats outside but they really do need more chairs. I'm not sure if they get relocated to other places over time, but I think there were 8 tables (2-4 people) and 4 chairs. The prices are good for the quality of food you're getting. Their drinks are unique and good as well. We mixed a couple lemonades together, which enhanced the flavors.

He had a $100 Resy credit, which ended up covering our entire meal with a little left over. For the quality of the food and the overall experience, it felt surprisingly affordable and very satisfying. The ambiance is open, stylish, and inviting, with both booth and table seating. We were seated at a corner table, which made the dinner feel relaxed and comfortable. The menu is mostly tapas-style, so it is a great spot if you want to order several dishes and share. One downside is that the entrées were pretty meat-heavy. The kebabs, for example, were limited to beef, lamb, chicken, and swordfish. I would have loved to see a vegetable or tofu kebab on the menu. That said, I was still able to put together a really satisfying meal from the appetizers, mezze, and salads. We started with a dip assortment that came with Lebanese-style flatbread, or manakish. The dips included a spicy yogurt-based dip, beet hummus, and another grainier orange-colored hummus. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and really enjoyable. The standout dish for me was the crispy eggplant. It came as thin, tempura-style slices of eggplant with a pomegranate yogurt sauce and a honey glaze. It was definitely on the sweeter side, but it was absolutely delicious--honestly, I could have made a meal out of that dish alone. We also ordered the fattoush salad, which had the classic vegetables but felt especially fresh because of the watermelon cubes, cherry tomatoes, sumac vinaigrette, and capers. My boyfriend also tried the oysters, which were a special that day. Overall, Ilona was a great dinner spot: cute atmosphere, central Boston location, shareable plates, and tasty Mediterranean food. I do wish there were more vegetarian-friendly entrée options, but I still had a very satisfying meal and would happily come back.

I am disappointed, from the very start to the end my experience was quite bad. The kitchen did not allow a bread substitution for the sandwich we ordered, they did not do waffles at this location either, and when we got our food the portion sizes were very small. The salmon was very overpriced for how much they offered; $27 for a piece of salmon only a few inches across was insulting, but apparently that is just how it is served there (picture below, you can see the pieces of broccoli are almost as big as the fish!) The other dish we got was the chicken sandwich, which is cut into two halves. The first half was normal but there was basically no chicken on the second half of the sandwich, it was essentially all bread. We brought it up to a manager and they got us a new piece of chicken, which fit entirely alongside the old piece of chicken on the bun because it was so small. On top of that we had to wait around nearly half an hour after finishing and had to flag down a waiter to get our check and go. The service overall was very slow. I will never come back to this restaurant.
