Can't really speak to the food since I never received it. I ordered the food through Yelp via GrubHub to BWH for my wife, who had just delivered a baby. I waited early for the food to arrive while I was waiting it was marked as "delivered" I was never called as requested and no photo or text was sent to me regarding the status of the delivery. After struggling with GrubHub, customer support I was able to finally have the order canceled 30 minutes later. Dining method: Catering Item(s) ordered: I ate the Cleopatra wrap, but we ordered several others. The review: The cleopatra wrap was brimming with tabouli (tabbouleh?) and flavor. For a vegan option, it proved very filling and flavorful. That being said, the falafel was very dry and, in the middle of a work meeting, that might not be the best to have in your throat. The catering arrived slightly late into the meeting, so I would just make sure they know if there's a hard deadline. Wonderful service. Everyone enjoyed a variety of the other wraps and sandwiches with meat, and said they were very good. Mama's has always held a special place in my heart as it was one of the first restaurants that I went to in Boston. Located in the Longwood medical area, it has been an extremely convenient spot to grab food after an extremely long day at the hospital. Honestly, the gyros are top notch here! Ambience is super casual. The only thing I would change would be lowering the price of those delicious curly fries as I think paying over $7 for fries is almost robbery. Food was decent. Customer Service sucks! I ordered for the first time today for delivery. The delivery guy named Sammy (or Hammy, whatever it was) couldn't find the building I was in. He parked in the wrong parking lot and had to just turn one corner. He parked in the middle of the street, made me come out to the middle of the street when it was pouring rain and then he continued to cuss me out about how he doesn't have time to be finding my building when he has another 30 orders that night. Good: the food Bad: The guy who cussed me out, they gave me 1 napkin for 3 meals, the guy who made me stand in the middle of pouring rain to cuss me out, the guy who cussed me out, and the fact that he didn't even say sorry for being late or for pissing me off. I am a Greek gal writing this so please bear that in mind as you read this review. Growing up with YIaYia cooking homemade Greek food makes it a bit difficult to rate Mama's more than 3 stars. The egg lemon soup was watery instead of really rich and velvety as is should be. The tzatziki was definitely not made but them but bought from some company who DOES NOT KNOW how to make it. Not tangy and tasty. Homemade has a pucker from the fresh lemon juice used to make it which makes it so delicious. The giros would have been better with a better tzatziki.. it really did not do to the giro what it should which is to pull all the flavors together. Though I thought it is priced righ, I do not think I could return. I will say the staff was just wonderful and very accommodating. Really nice young men. Hope the owners read this and improve on at least the things I mentioned. read more

Mama's Place is definitely a go-to when you are sick of eating the typical American food, Chinese food, and Indian food. I looked them up on Yelp and saw that people rave about their beef kebab plate. I was not disappointed! I highly recommend it. I've also had other items, such as fried mac&cheese and fish&chips. So yummy! I definitely recommend their fried mac&cheese. The staff is also really friendly and attentive! They make you feel at home. I still have yet to try other items on their menu, but I'm sure they are all amazing. It's a really small restaurant, located on the corner of Wait St. and Huntington Ave. It's pretty hard to find parking, so I suggest taking the T (you get off at Brigham or Fenwood Road) if you want to sit down and eat. There was a credit card charge along with a $3 delivery fee when the front of the menu CLEARLY states free delivery. I noticed that there is no asterisk prompting the customer to see the fine print. We literally waited outside in the rain waiting for this place to open because my friend really liked their fries. After eating their fries, I really like them as well haha. This is a relatively small place and they don't open the same time as others do. The guy who opened was super nice and took our order right when we got in there so we didn't have to wait any longer. Although they are known for their other foods, we got the fries and the pesto and they were both great! Some foods could be pricy so make sure it's within your budget if you want to order it.
