    The Buffalo Pizza
    Sophie T.

Brookline Spa is a staple in the heart of Brookline Village. I ordered a Buffalo chicken pizza to-go and boy was it mighty fine. Let me tell ya, the pizzas here are huge here. I feel like I could feed 8 people with this? Extremely full after 2 slices. Located on the corner of a busy street, parking out front can be tough but there's usually open meters on the other side of the street. It's definitely set up as a a to-go pizza joint, so don't plan on sitting-- no booths or seats to dine in, other than the standing room by the windows with a couple stools while you wait for your order. Very friendly staff too!

They have them at the ready and can reheat them in an oven if you wish. You can order different flavors because they sell them by the slice and they are not bad at all! It's a decent meal that actually satisfies the craving when you really need to pizza fix

Mouse dropping on the first shelve at the front counter

The place is dirty and has mouse dropping on the shelves. See picture. I waited for so very long to be assisted, one guy on the phone and people started to leave one after another because they could no longer wait. And that is when I spotted the mouse dropping.

......Guys I am very disappointed with my order. Where to start?! First off the French fries are disgusting idk what you guys cooked them in but NO these aren't it. They taste like they have been sitting out and then got reheated. ( look at the pic) I tried to eat them everything in my body prevented me from swallowing a single fry. Do better please. The sub was mediocre, the bread was not toasted so when my sub arrived the bread was soggy. And falling apart. That texture in your mouth is horrible. I asked for mushrooms, pickles & hots on the sub. Mushrooms & pickles arrived. No hots. You guys Excel at salads after that .......No

Seriously what happened to this place??? Got a chicken parm sub for lunch. The chicken was inedible and unidentifiable. Took one bite and threw it in the trash. Get you sh*t together Brookline Spa. That was HORRIBLE!!!! Will never be back for lunch here, you want real lunch head to Bottega Capri up the street

I want to live next door... or maybe not because I would order too much from here. Between two people, we ordered the blue, the Conan, and a fresh slice of cheese pizza. Holy smokes, for a cheap price you get a ton of food! The sandwiches were hot and fresh, loaded with meats, cheeses, and toppings. This place definitely makes my heart happy and would happily come back.

Paid $3.75 for a Buffalo chicken pizza. Slices were big and took up two paper plates. One of the better pizza places I've had in Boston. Would go again. Staff was friendly

Pretty good pizza at a reasonable price. Not the absolute best pizza in the area, but a good choice for a family pizza night.

Why fix something simple when it ain't broken? Sometimes places can fall into the trap of trying to do too much. Prairie Fire is one of the few that can walk that tightrope, offering a raw bar, pizzas, pastas, a burger, seafood, and more. But everything we tried was delicious. I had an eye on so much on the menu but we ultimately went with the razor clam ceviche from the raw bar, a pepperoni pizza, the Maine lobster ravioli, and the mushroom toast (a crowd favorite). My favorites were the ceviche and the mushroom toast - do not skip it. The mushrooms are cooked perfectly and they slather a layer of parmesan aioli on the bread that cooks into it. Amazing. One of my best bites of 2025. Pepperoni pizza was pretty good but I still prefer the Neapolitan style. Have to come back to try so many other things - the Maine uni toast, the burger, the trout. The sourdough ice cream was a super unique dessert. They take the leftover butts of loaves and soak it in milk/cream and the result is almost like a less sweet salted caramel. Loved the textural addition of the poached pear. We were lucky to come around 5 on a weekend evening and snag some of the remaining bar seats but when we left, the place was completely full. Come early or get a reservation! Parking can be tough in Coolidge Corner; I recommend seeing if you can get a spot in Webster parking lot at the back of the restaurant.

We opted to sit at the bar in front of the wood-fired oven, which turned out to be a great call. Watching the kitchen work was half the fun with pizzas and dishes coming together right in front of us. The drinks menu is impressive too, with a large selection of beers on tap plus wine, cocktails, and mocktails. For food, we kept it simple and shared our way through the menu. The Farm Green salad was crisp and fresh, pa perfect starter. Then came the asparagus, roasted in the wood-fired oven and served with a sauce that elevated the whole dish. We finished with one of their wood-fired pizzas, and it did not disappoint. Everything had that subtle smoky char you only get from a real oven. Service was excellent from start to finish. If you're looking for a spot that feels like a neighborhood staple with food that actually delivers, this is it.

The dining room is fairly small with some bar seating available as well. It was clean and bright. It took about 7 mins for the server to come over and she lead with "are you ready to order?" I guess simple pleasantries are useless anyway. We knew our drinks and appetizers order but not what we wanted for pizza yet so we ordered those and told her we'd order pizzas when the apps and drinks came. She came back about 3 minutes later and asked if we were ready to order yet. Feeling pressured, we ordered thinking that perhaps they close soon (not the case). The bartender delivered our drinks a few minutes later and about 5 mins after that both the appetizers and pizza arrived at the same time. Besides the fact that our table wasn't large enough to accommodate all that food and drink, it was never our intention to eat our appetizers with our meal. The good news is that the food was hot, fresh and tasty. The potato bombs were excellent. Crispy home fry like potatoes and the peppers had a nice heat. I would love to try the popper version next time. The pizzas were good too, but be prepared for floppy and slightly under done base crust but a perfectly charred edge crust. I find many wood fired pizza to come this way but I did see other reviews mention this as a negative. The bill comes in a small ball jar with a delicious rice crispy treat. While the jar worked it must have made it hard to see that I dropped my credit card in it, so after the waitress walked by a few times I removed the card and made it visible on the table. When the tab came to sign I was not given a pen. I should have walked out and just let them charge me for just the tab but I cannot stiff waitstaff, even when it's poor service. My only hope is that it was the waitress's first day and she somehow figures out the typical cadence and procedure involved in waiting tables. Food was a solid 4 but service was a 2 so I landed on a 3. I would definitely go back hoping for a better server.

It ain't fancy inside, but gets the job done and one slice is more than enough for this pizza lover. The pizza is thin sliced and the pepperoni was spicy and a little greasy but that's the way I like it. My mouth is watering just reliving the experience. There were other ready-made pizza options on order but pepperoni is my go-to. They seem to do a vigorous take-out business. The place was full but not crowded on a Thursday around 6pm. It always smells delicious walking by, and they have huge pies in the glass for you to choose from. On this particular evening, I was at an event where we ordered a bunch of different pizzas to try, and it was actually better than normal - all of the pizzas were still very hot and fresh, and the crust was nice and crispy without being too chewy (some of the past times have been too chewy). I really enjoyed all of the flavors below as well: Boylston BBQ (Signature Crust, BBQ Sauce, Shredded Mozzarella, Breaded Chicken and White Onion.) - Probably my favorite go-to pizza. The crust is delightfully crispy and slightly chewy, and the BBQ sauce is nice and tangy. There is the right amount of cheese, and the chicken is breaded and nicely seasoned. Though I'd probably prefer red onion, this is a very reliably good BBQ chicken slice. The Fenway (Signature Crust, Housemade Pizza Sauce, Shredded Mozzarella, Italian Sausage, White Onion and Green Peppers.) - This has been hit or miss and today it was a hit. Sometimes, it can be a little saucy and I'm not crazy about the sauce, but tonight it had the right ratio and there wasn't too much sauce. The cheese stuck to the crust nicely and there was a lot of sausage, giving each bite a healthy portion of meat. Really hearty and filling! Hancock Hawaiian (Signature Crust, Housemade Pizza Sauce, Shredded Mozzarella, Canadian Bacon, and Pineapple.) - This was the first time I tried this and while some people may not like pineapple on pizza, I really do. This particular pizza had a bit too much sauce which was tough to eat on thin crust pizza as it gets a bit soggy and heavy on top, but it also had a good amount of pineapple and canadian bacon which was great. The canadian bacon was especially plentiful and thick, which added a nice saltiness to the tangy pineapple. The ratio of sauce to cheese to toppings was great, but like I said before, it was a little off when compared to how thin the crust was. All in all, a solid experience today - 4/5 and I'd definitely have a few of these again next time I walk by!

The guy at the counter was nice enough and it has a cute little old school pizza spot vibe (probably because it is one). After 5 minutes, it was ready and I was headed out. I ate these in my parking spot to give reference to the hunger I was having. Can I say how refreshing it is to get slices that aren't burnt to hell? Don't get me wrong - there's the brick over and wood-fired and all that. Okay, I get it, but some places just absolutely burn the eff out of your crust just to reheat and you end up with acrid cardboard slices covered in grease. I tried the foldable pepperoni slice first and yes, it's a bit greasy but we love it.
