    Sausage pizza.

Came here with out two Boston College kids. Got seated right away in the dimly lit room. We started with salads, both perfectly dressed, and then split the mushroom pizza, the sausage and fennel pizza, and a margarita pizza that we added pepperoni to. All was great. Good service, decent wine, fun atmosphere, and doesn't take itself too seriously. Would go again!

First time poppin in but we had it on our yelp list! We showed up before the dinner rush, right when they just opened for the evening. Being down the street in the area, the craving for pizza was real haha. We were seated promptly, waters and utensils. Our server was nice, checked in on us. The pizza was fennel sausage ricotta cheese and red onions! It was so good, the dough was great to eat all the way thru the crust. It also wasn't burnt crisp or mushy. The pizza dough was yummy, held well by the slice without all my toppings sliding right off and then flopping. We also got the steak tartare was great with Steel and rye (i believe from the Milton location?) sourdough bread toast. So yummy, must get for a starter! Then we took a look at their rawbar menu, ended up choosing the Tuna crudo. They have multiple proteins for this dish. Tuna is my favorite and the fish was actually cold and fresh. Nice clean chew with fatty tuna! Yummy with their almond vinegarette of sorts haha. Scooped up every bit of the plate. 3 dishes for a couple was perfect for us.

Prairie Fire is a must try if you love a good pizza! I knew I wanted to grab the sausage & fennel pizza once I saw the menu... it exceeded my expectations! I mean, I feel like I can be a little picky when it comes to pizza because I really don't typically gravitate towards pizza when choosing what I wanna eat for any meal lol BUT it was sooo good! All of the toppings & flavors complimented each other so well in this dish & the dough was soft while still maintaining its shape when you go to pick it up to eat it. Honestly, everything we ordered was exceptional & tasted very fresh! We ordered the steak tartare & the tuna crudo to try, as well, & both were super fresh, very flavorful, & I highly recommend all of the dishes we ordered from Prairie Fire! Literally can't go wrong. I found service to be pretty good, though I should add that we did go when they opened for dinner. Lots of street meter parking available & had no issues grabbing a spot. Also accessible via train, MBTA Green Line Coolidge Corner!

This was one of the first restaurants I tried when I moved to Boston and I highly recommend. Although it's not traditional Italian food you find in the north end, it's a nice restaurant. The smoked crispy potatoes reminded me of Spain's patatas bravas, they were super crispy! They forgot to put it in at first but apologized and gave it to us for free. I got steak and my dad got pesto pasta and both were delicious! For dessert I got a corn ricotta cake with raspberry sorbet. The waitress was friendly and the rest of the food came out quickly. There's also a big bar that would be great for getting drinks!

Came here with a group of 4 with a reservation and we were seated pretty fast. Service was solid, orders were taken quickly and food came out in a reasonable amount of time too. The menu had a good selection of sharables as well as regular single portion dishes. We shared everything which was nice to try a bit of everything, but in general things were suited for individuals too if that's what you like. Food was tasty and good in quality. I enjoyed the pasta and pizza the most for sure - solid entrees overall. The drink I got was also extremely strong which was nice! Overall, Prarie Fire was a good dinner experience. The price was a bit steep, but we had a nice time nonetheless.

The atmosphere and service was amazing! The pizza and drinks were also really well portioned and refreshing. I would definitely come back to this cozy chic restaurant.

We come to Prairie Fire ALL THE TIME! The place can't be beat on vibe, food, cocktails, and service. The menu changes so often that you can literally come once a week and order something new each time! And if nothing seems to grab your attention, just order the fennel sausage pizza - it's a staple and never disappoints. We are huge fans of sitting at the bar and Danny is always the most knowledgeable for creating you something special to sip. Everyone who works here is amazingly attentive and helpful when you're stuck on what to order. Splurge on the raw bar and dessert! They're always worth it!

The 4 of us ended here because one individual in our party wanted pasta and another was gluten free. The menu appeared to meet everyone's needs. They also had a solid drink menu. Our picky pasta eater had the fettuccine. It included meat- Guinea hen ragu. I was initially concerned she wouldn't like it when she realized it wasn't chicken but she loved it. We enjoyed the shishito peppers and heirloom tomato appetizers. Our GF diner enjoyed the chicken while another really enjoyed the fennel sausage pizza. Sadly no GF desserts available besides after dinner drinks. The sourdough ice cream was enjoyed by others. Good and unique. It was a little dark but comfortable with a good vibe- loved the fire. Serve was attentive and helpful in suggesting GF options.

First time I went, Danny was super awesome; second time around I forget who the second person was, but Chef Brad DOES NOT disappoint. The food was absolutely exquisite, I was forced to keep ordering food. I started out with three oysters, ugh beautifully cut. No sand, no problem. Mignonette was great The steak just melts off the fork. I say it's a sin to order a steak any other way besides medium rare--but that's just me. Naturally, Chef Brad does not disappoint. The mash was such a great compliment to the meat. I had to keep eating. Poetically enough, I felt like the guy from "Ratatouille" that has a flashback to his mom cooking him food; I was brought back by how much better it was than a lot of other steaks I've tried at restaurants in Boston. I asked the server what the chef likes making but doesn't get ordered that much. He said the scallop crisp dish that's seasonal--woahhhh it was just exquisite. I ordered one of the cordials on the dessert menu; unfortunately it wasn't my taste, completely subjective. I was able to switch it to the wine I had been drinking before. I apologized I didn't like it, and the woman with the beautiful Targaryen hair helped me stop saying sorry about it and switched it. Kept ordering the crispy fingerling potatoes and the sourdough ice cream--because it was a sin not to try it. The entire meal was really divine, the service was incredibly personable.

Cute place with nice vibe. Brought my daughter and her bf, because she wanted to try it. Overall food was tasty. Brussels might have been our favorite. Portions were small so that after ordering what our server thought would be plenty, had to order two more dishes!

The wine selection is excellent and thoughtfully curated -- whites, reds, bubbles, orange wines, and more, so there's truly something for every palate. My friend and I both ordered a red, and it was absolutely perfect. Our server was super friendly and attentive, and she even offered a few samples so we could try before committing to a full glass, which we really appreciated. For food, we shared the hot dog with fried oysters to pair with the wine, and it was surprisingly delicious and a fun, elevated bar bite. Overall, the experience was fantastic -- great wine, great service, and a comfortable atmosphere. Pricing is definitely on the higher end, with wine glasses around $20 and the hot dog at $14, but the quality and experience justify it. I'd absolutely come back for another wine night.

Unfortunately, this most recent visit didn't live up to the high standards I've come to expect. While a few dishes hit the mark, the majority of our order was a letdown: Tinned Octopus: Surprisingly chewy and lacked seasoning. Mushroom Toast: The texture was rubbery, and the flavor was completely drowned out by an aggressive amount of balsamic. Beets: Had a very overwhelming cumin flavor that threw the dish out of balance. Roast Beef Slider: Served cold and felt a bit uninspired. It's such a cute, intimate space, and I've had so many wonderful nights here in the past, but the execution was just off this time around. I'm hoping it was just an off night, but it was definitely disappointing given how much I usually love this place!

The restaurant was pretty dead, so we were expecting a relaxed, smooth experience. The prosciutto and cheeses were great -- but let's be honest, it's hard to mess that up. My friend ordered a cheese and meat board and a steak, and I ordered the mushrooms and mussels. After two or three rounds of drinks, I realized my food still hadn't come out. I asked the bartender about it, and he said it could be out in five minutes. I told him that if it was already on the way, we'd take it -- but if it hadn't been put in yet, that was fine and we didn't want it anymore. His response was basically, "If you want it, it'll be out in five minutes." No explanation, no acknowledgment of what happened, and no apology. It felt more like "do you want it or not?" rather than any ownership of the situation. In the end, I never got my food, and it just left a bad taste in my mouth. Not terrible, but definitely disappointing given how quiet it was. The food we did have was solid, but the lack of communication and basic apology knocked this down to two stars for me.

"Walk in as strangers, leave as friends."…read more If that's not a saying that makes you want to head there now, then I don't know what is LOL! Obviously, there is more to the new renovated location of La Cantina than this saying but I will say I was pretty impressed when I saw it and knew I had to add it to my review. Let's just say it is pretty accurate. We did leave as friends since we made a few at the bar and then some. Just saying! La Cantina winery in Franklin, MA used to be a small wine bar that offered wine tasting flights and minimal food. BUT, now it is in a stunning new location (not far from their old stomping grounds). Fun Fact: It used to be a Mechanic garage. Well, wait until you see how it has turned from fixing cars to wine making and tasting. YOU HAVE GOT TO COME HERE! Parking is easy with plenty of spots. They have a lot of room at their gorgeous bar, but they also have high tops and tables for families or a large group. And, they host events here too; birthday parties, bridal showers, and anything in between, this place is it. I actually want to hold one of my milestone birthday parties here but well keep the number a secret for now. Service: Alana was our bartender and she was wonderful. Always asking us what we needed and how were doing. You don't get this upscale service any where else. And, when I wanted another sample of something she gave it to me without a fuss. Always with a smile on her face, she was the best. Wine: They have an excellent wine menu to choose from and they offer flights for about $25 pp. Flights are the best way to try multiple wines. I personally loved most of the red wines with Petit Sirah being my favorite. My husband loved their Barbera! I did sample their Sauv Blanc too which was nice but it was too cold to have a full pour. Food: Their menu is great with a ton of options from charcuterie, to tapas and some entrees. I will say some of their items can get expensive but definitely worth it. We started with a few cheeses and prosciutto. Then we ordered one of their popular pizzas called La Cantina. Everything was fresh, made in house with their beautiful pizza oven right smack in the middle of the bar. You have got to see this thing, its huge! Overall: If I could give this place 10 stars I would. We had the best time and we can't wait to go back. Franklin is not far from where we live but still a good 30 minute drive and also not far from the Wrentham outlets. We didn't have to make a reservation for a Sunday afternoon but I bet Saturdays can get pretty busy. I just loved everything about this wine bar and I know you will too! Cheers~

Thankfully Alna had a similar palate to that of my girlfriend, and they quickly made a connection. Love that! I chose a flight of reds and ultimately preferred the Clone 8 above those that I tried, thigh the Cab Sav Reserve was a close second. The Drunken Goat cheese sample was delicious too! The menu definitely has us eager to come back for food. And for those who aren't wine drinkers they have a small selection of beer and a cider. The atmosphere is lively and open, and looks like they'd open up the large bar doors on a nice day. Come enjoy a flight, or a glass, you can't go wrong!

The menu refers to these as "Greek cheese bread" but somehow that doesn't do it justice - these were immensely pillowy and cheesy, with an amazing crust, with homemade honey butter on the side. I could have had just these for dinner and been satisfied. They really nailed the bread. My other favorites: 1. Hipiti: spicy whipped feta with crispy potatoes on the side. I don't do well with spice but I absolutely loved this. 2. Marouli: winter lettuce with the most amazing vinaigrette dressing. My only knock to this is, presentation-wise, they serve it with half of the plate empty and the other half with salad. I don't understand why restaurants do this because - one, it only highlights the smaller portion and two, we're just going to mix the salad all around in the bowl anyway. 3. Boudeto: daily catch in a beautiful tomato broth. For a seafood dish at a restaurant in Back Bay, this was priced at a fairly reasonable $28. The only dish that fell a little flat for me was the tzatziki - needed a bit more seasoning. As it was, I was eating mostly just plain yogurt. The table-side preparation was cool, though. The space is its own visual dinner, there's simply a lot to look at (including a drawing of Poseidon riding a surf board). We got the big table in the back, which was a beautiful glass structure with a whole terrarium underneath. We couldn't stop marveling at it throughout the meal. Our waiter was wonderful - very helpful recommendations, came by to check on us often even though we were pretty far in the back, super patient with our questions. Hard to get reservations but worth it! Don't bother driving / trying to find parking unless you're willing to eat a hefty garage fee, it's Back Bay.
