I've only gone here for drinks, and everytime they are stellar! The staff are super professional and hospitality is great. The bartender asked me what I thought of a drink I was struggling to enjoy and I told him what I didn't like about it, then he offered to balance it out by adding more of an ingredient. Came for lunch on a Monday and had our choice of seating. We opted for a booth, but the rest of the space was bright and airy and seems to be suited for groups of most sizes. I got the Blackberry Bumble mocktail and the Sweet Potato Chickpea sandwich. The drink was tasty, as was the food. It came with a huge side of curly fries, which I was too full to finish. Service was friendly and quick, and the bathrooms were nice and clean. I wish I could give 4.7 stars though, because by the end of our meal, there were tiny little gnats flying around and crawling on the table. Otherwise a lovely meal! read more

Such a great local spot in Brighton. Sloane's is located over by Harvard's skate park and next to the Trader Joe's to give you a sense of where to find it. I've been here a few times and it's been delicious every single time. I highly recommend the mac and cheese. So creamy and delicious everytime, without fail. They have a nice outdoor seating area with high tables that face an opened window which is the tabletop of the bar inside the restaurant. So you're physically outside, but also sitting at the bar. A pretty cool concept. Not to brag but my team was kickball champions in Volo (what's good) and Sloane's kindly filled up our boot trophy with beer. A night to remember for sure. read more

I also got the Eggs in a Hole, which was a very delightfully confusing concoction of savory and sweet (it's in banana bread!). It wasn't very busy for Sunday brunch but somehow service was slow and not great - they didn't come fill our waters, food took a long time to come out, and in general the waiters just never really came by. We dined at Sloane's for Sunday brunch and were seated right away. We ordered the pigs in a blanket, the two eggs + protein plate and made it a hungry girl which included another protein and a giant pancake. It was great with the exception of the sausage patty as it was SO dry and flavorless. The service wasn't great. It took a while for someone to come over and take our order, and after that we never saw her again. She never checked in on us or came by to give us our check. We had to ask go up and ask the bartender to give us our check. I'll give my kudos to the bussers as they were attentive and cleared our table as soon as we were done. read more

Sloane's is a Spectacular place! While in the area after a show we decided to stop in here (saved as a Yelp bookmark) for a late night snack and drink and it did not disappoint. The restaurant vibe was friendly and inviting and the decor was modern and spacious. We sat at their outdoor bar area and were greeted by the friendly bartender named Bart. I ordered a glass of wine and my hubby had a tequila cocktail, both were excellent. We started off with their popular wings and got Buffalo sauce on the side mainly because I had a white dress on and didn't want to end up wearing it lol! These wings were the best and I do mean the BEST we had. You must order them! For dessert, we went with their other popular item the Snicker Bar. Omg we were in heaven with the first bite! We had heard about the great brunch at Sloane's from a few people so finally found a Sunday to go. Despite being in an unassuming location (I had mistakenly thought it was a hotel restaurant for awhile!), it certainly lived up to the hype in many respects. Lovely ambiance and inventive menu made for a fun (and not too expensive) brunch experience. For food, I decided to try one of the more unusual items on their menu -- the egg in a hole in banana bread -- and was not disappointed. The subtly sweet flavor of the roasted banana bread combined with the runny egg, caramelized onions, and bacon jam were an explosion of sweet and savory flavor. I also got one of their cinnamon rolls of the day (pecan), which I enjoyed (though was slightly sweet). My brunch mates also enjoyed their omelettes. Sloane's is one of my favorite neighborhood spots. Delicious, craveable comfort food. I love the brunch especially the Benedict. For dinner I love the Irish spice bag - perfect amount of flavor, like a grown up chicken nuggets with fries. The burgers and pretzel chicken are also delicious. Food is usually pretty good had an off meal last night. Cheddar tomato pie is often cold in the middle which is a miss. "The Bear" is a beef sandwich with Giardeiniera which was very very bland. The griddled mashed potato was an embarrassingly small portion size and was also cold in the middle so I wasn't too upset about the tiny amount. They are also still sneaking the ridiculous "supplemental" junk fee of 3 percent onto the bill which I would have had removed but didn't notice. Covid is over team. Delicious food, excellent service. We've dined here a few times, both at the bar and in the dining room. Service at each is warm and attentive. The onion smash burger is delicious as are the curly fries. Most recently I had the Romesco Salmon which was amazing! A little spicy but cooled down by the yogurt sauce. Healthy, flavorful- I'll definitely get it again. The pot roast Mac n cheese is decadent, cheesy and perfectly seasoned. The tomato cheddar tart is a nice light appetizer we will order again. I've bopped by Sloanes a few times pre & post Trader Joe's trips and am continually impressed with the tasty menu! There's a good mix of very rich items and healthy options too. Also great cocktails and don't miss the desserts! Some of my favorites so far have been the Pork Cutlet sandwich (I added more cheese ), sausage corn chowder, cheese tomato tart, pigs in a blanket, chickpea veggie burger & rum raisin ice cream. I'm super excited to try brunch and that Midwest onion burger too! Overall really cool vibe, seems to be an industry spot with nice open space, Simpsons on the tele and friendly staff. They have plugs by the chairs too so strikes me as a place you could bring your laptop and do some "wine work". I'll be back! read more

This place came highly recommended by our hotel and was so glad they did! We were told that it was started by one of the winners of Chopped, so we came to check it out after work one night. Parking was street parking and thankfully we quickly found a spot, but would imagine it being difficult to find on a busy weekend. Walking in, the interior was beautiful! Felt very homey and chic. Upscale comfort. We got nervous we needed reservations, but there was plenty of open seating which was shocking. Menu had a good mix of options, cocktails as well. I went with the Mango chili margarita and the fish and chips. Drink was good, it had a habanero honey, but wasn't too spicy. It was really good and normally I do not like spicy drinks. The fish and chips was phenomenal. Perfectly cooked, crispy and flakey. Came with fries and coleslaw, which were just as good. Perfect creamy coleslaw and crispy tasty fries. Everything was so good, we couldn't pass up on dessert and got the honey crumble cake... I'm not even the biggest dessert person and this was next level. I can't even put into words the taste or how good it was, just amazing!! I cannot recommend Sloane's enough - it's a must have!! Perfect for a good date night too if you're looking to impress. James Beard-worthy. Fantastic food! Oysters - perfectly chosen. Mushroom pirogies with borscht sour cream were a wonderful!, unexpected take on an Eastern European classic The chickpea burger (perfectly spiced with flavor mix, not a standard falafel) and Italian beef (with garlic mashed potatoes seared on two sides for an added crispiness, but not potato pancake take) were fantastic as was the blackberry frozen cocktail. Lots of places say "creative take on comfort food" but Sloane's delivers exceptional taste in perfectly executed new ways. And it was quiet on the Saturday afternoon where we went. The food, while the flavors were good had obviously been sitting for quite some time and was very lukewarm, which does not bode well for eggs. We had wondered while it was taking quite a bit of time for our orders as it was not busy. We had The burger was ordered to be "medium" and was served to be on the rare to medium rare side. Had a lovely weekday brunch experience here (+1 star definitely for daily brunch). Was excited to try it out after watching the owner on Chopped, and walked in to a lovely stylish ambience (well lit, new, clean) and were promptly seated. The menu is really diverse with lots of classic breakfast and lunch options, in addition to creative plays on classics (banana bread egg in a hole). As a table, we all ordered breakfasty foods which came with great portion sizes (none of us could finish) and then a blueberry pancake to split. I enjoyed my egg white omelette and that it came with potatoes, greens, and toast. The potatoes were piping hot and well seasoned, the greens were fresh (a little overdressed), and the toast was pretty good even though i didn't have high hopes for scali toast. The omelette was nicely cooked with a generous serving of veggies. I will say that everything was a little greasier than i might have preferred. The pancake was okay - the blueberries were awesome but the pancake itself was kind of flat. The reason I'm knocking a star off, though, is the iced coffee, which cost 6$ and was 70% ice. I put a splash of milk in it and basically the whole thing turned white because of how little coffee there was! We discovered Sloanes while attending an athletic event at Harvard. It was one of a couple places in easy walking distance so we were happy to discover the food exceeded the merit of proximity. We loved it so much we recommended to others and made a point to eat there again over the weekend. It is evident that they use high quality ingredients thoughtfully prepared. They were easily able to accommodate my daughter's gluten free diet. And their cinnamon rolls were unanimously voted the GOAT of cinnamon rolls by our party. They were that good. The flavors vary week over week so we had the turtle rolls. But the bacon mushroom omelet with tallegio cream sauce was equally delicious. That one was kind of a sleeper on the menu as it didn't have much of any description but yum. The charred veg and feta salad, hot wings, and chicken bacon sandwich, and my favorite string type fries were wonderful too. The staff were welcoming and accommodating and greeted us extra warmly on day 2. Sloanes has a dedicated gluten free dinner on the first Monday of the month and we look forward to that. It's not exactly in our dining radius but we will certainly make a point to go there when we are in the neighborhood and for special events. Their weenies and Tinis wednesdays also sound fun and different. read more

I forgot his name because I'm a bad person. Overall a much more pleasant experience than the originally premeditated path (sniping good wine deals at Trader Joe's and then drinking alone until I miss her too much and need to put myself to bed). For the first time the hubby and I had a pre-show meal at Sloane's. The jumbo chicken wings were excellent. The burger was tasty. I unfortunately selected one of the specials, shrimp risotto. It was an epic fail. It was incredibly salty. I spoke to my incredible server, Kirsten, and she went back to the kitchen and had it remade. The second attempt was less salty but still not very appetizing. The tomato sauce in the risotto tasted exactly like the sauce from Chef Boyardee. Nevertheless, there are other items that I would like to try. The chicken wings were excellent and I would like to give them one more chance. Their brunch menu looks quite appealing! We saw Sloane's on the Phantom Gourmet a while back and we were exciting to give it a try. The location is good with street parking and a parking garage. The restaurant was cool with a nice bar and swanky cool music. The music was a little loud but it had a nice vibe. Unfortunately the cafeteria looking tables and chairs fell short of completing the experience. The chairs were very uncomfortable. We started with drinks which were excellent. Even our driver's mocktail was quite tasty. Our appetizer was the cheese and crackers. The cheese was bland and overpowered by crackers with way too much flavor. Dinner was a mix of burgers and pretzel crusted chicken. Everyone that had the burger raved about it. Excellent. Their "most popular dish", the pretzel crusted chicken, was very salty. Not Awesome in my opinion but everyone has their own taste. To finish we had the confetti cake which is impressive looking. It came with ice cream. It was pretty good with multiple unique flavors. Service was perfect with prompt friendly service. In a jam we would try this again but with mixed reviews it is not a "dish worth driving to". There are too many other options in the city. read more

One of my favorite places in New York is Jacob's Pickles and we finally got Boston's version with Sloane's. There aren't too many upscale comfort food places in Boston that serve really great food. The service is on point and it's also a great spot for drinks. Depending on your vibe whether you want a casual brunch or a super fun date night I see Sloane's being the place for it. Also the Mac and cheese with pot roast and taleggio omelette are absolutely amazing. I managed to also get an ice cream. This is a lovely new place in an unexpected location next to a supermarket and the Harvard University athletic fields. The food was all delicious. It's comfort food, but upscale and creative. The Pigs In a Blanket (photo attached) are not the ones you'll find at your tailgate party. My date loved his lamb meatloaf, and I loved my Super Bowl salad - there are options on the menu that have nutrition! He was thrilled to find Trillium on tap and I was happy with 2 delicious mocktails (I was driving). Something I have not seen before in Boston was that their indoor bar has a long window on one side that opens to the outside so that when the weather's nice the bar becomes 2 sides - one outside and inside. My date and I disagreed on the vibe - he felt it to be upscale, pointing out the lighting fixtures and dining room seats and I felt it to be casual as there was sports on TV and I felt comfortable in casual shorts and T shirt.
