Wonderful spot alongside the sister bar Porter Belly's. Shared kitchen sending out awesome food and great craft cocktails to be enjoyed on the private patio out back. Definitely among the top spots in the area and look forward to coming back.

Sorry, I forgot to take pictures of our food,, but my shrimp scampi, and my salad was delicious, the service was a bit screwed up unfortunately, several people at our table got the wrong order and we had to wait an additional 20 minutes. The ambience was very chill. Will definitely be back on my next visit. I came for the #SayYesToTheDress. Moment. #MyBabiesGettingMarried.#WeekendVibes.

    Nashville Hot Chicken Sub

Not sure why the poor reviews. Came in for late dinner, atmosphere is a loud but classy sports bar vibe. Two large bar areas, dinning area, with multiple TVs with live sports. They do happy hour Monday- Friday Happy Hour 4-6pm. With $1 oysters! We were too late for happy hour but from a local friend's recommendation, this was the spot for a good Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. It is listed as Hot Chicken Sub, and it is some of the best I've had!! I would HIGHLY recommend with the truffle fries as a side. I'd come back again for this every time! Great service from the staff and they also recommended the sub as well. would definitely give this place a try!

Very well, where do I begin... Devlins may be the hub of what me and my neighbor friends call the "Trifecta" of downtown Brighton pubs. Let's just say we come here often . Food and vibes are great, it's genuinely always a good time. Great bar to make new friends and hang with existing + friendly/fun staff make an experience, not just a drink . I love the food, the rotating food/drink specials are awesome- the new items keep it interesting while we often go back to regular menu staples. In addition to things pictured here I really enjoy the Irish Curry, Reuben, lobstah roll/fish n chips, clam chowder, etc etc. Highly recommend if you are in the area + check out sister restos Bodega/Porter Belly's. See you there!

Not sure why Devlin's only has 3 and 1/2 stars. I had a solid 4 and 1/2 star experience here for lunch on a weekday. I will go with a round up 5 to help their average. I looked at some of the negative reviews and saw two themes ... people who don't write many reviews and brunch. Take that for what it is worth. I was impressed with all the seating here. Very chill vibe and space thru out. They also played some good tunes when I was in. Maybe the highlight for me was that Devlin's has a really great outdoor area. Seems perfect for taking advantage of the nice days in the Northeast. I am from MA but live in Miami now ...and know how much you want to take advantage of all the nice days in this neck of the woods. I experienced Exceptional service ...from the time I was greeted thru the whole meal, I could not have asked for more. Gabriella waited on me and she was perfect, very efficient and friendly. I ordered a couple of IPAs and a Reuben. I asked for a modification on my sandwich. There was no problem with that and it came out as requested. I noticed some Vegan friendly options on the whole menu. I would take my vegan lovers here. I saw some Fried Plantain Tacos that looked perfect for them on the menu. Overall two thumbs up. Devlin's hit the spot. Cheers.

Lovely to eat outside on a nice day! Really enjoyed the setting. The food was ok but nothing amazing. The frozen mule was unique, but I ordered the peach one and didn't taste much peach. I did really enjoy the truffle fries and the pretzels were pretty good. I also ordered the Cesar salad which was ok. It was a bit upsetting though that the focaccia croutons were more like shavings of crouton.

    Bloody mary
    Meg C.

Came here for brunch and the bennie was pretty good but nothing memorable. The drinks left a lot to be desired. The bloody mary looked pretty from the garnishes, but was very bland, it tasted like plain tomato juice with a touch of horseradish - no Worcestershire or anything to add flavor or dimension. The Irish coffee also looked nice but the booze had a really sharp bite and left me with an immediate headache, even several glasses of water and Advil hours later. Service was good and the ambiance was nice. If the drinks had been better I'd return for drinks, but they were bad-mediocre. The draw for us was boozy brunch, maybe we should have ordered beer instead of cocktails.

A simple google of typical service animal tasks including grounding and calming.
    Zachary F.

Today, we were rudely accosted by an employee at Devlins. We live nearby, around 20 minutes by walk. We also have a service animal. So today, we chose to try Devlins patio. We trekked over in this awful humidity, were about to be sat, when this woman told us dogs are not allowed on the patio. The host and I both spoke up that our dog was a service animal, but this woman demanded to know what service task the dog performs. I informed her that she performs grounding and calming services for my partner, who is diagnosed with a mental illness and has paperwork to a service animal for this illness. Immediately, she responded that those are not real tasks and asked how they are acts of service. This required me to disclose my partners mental illness which made us both uncomfortable. my partner should not be expected to disclose her illness in order to explain the task to proprietors. At this point, the woman's aggression and inappropriate questions had begun to overwhelm my partner, who decided that we should just leave rather than continue to argue. We will not be back.

    KOREAN FRIED CAULIFLOWER, ANTIPASTI PLATTER
    Katherine C.

I love Devlin's! Love the people and kind staff that add charm to little ol' Brighton :) Food: The small plates make it great for conversation. I love the Korean cauliflower - sweet, tangy, and crisp! The antipasti plate was good for a shareable snack. Drinks: Summer sangria is always a hit! The bartender was so nice. Tip well because he was working 3 jobs as a father! Ambiance: I recommend especially for the summer sitting outside on their patio seating! At night, the string lights add fun

    *TUNA RICE POKE

Food: we got the chicken birria quesadilla, tuna, Poké bowl and Nashville chicken Caesar wrap. Everything was prepared well, I love the tuna poke mix with the sweet soy sauce which made every bite with the rice perfect. The quesadilla was pretty good. It's simple with cheese and chicken seasoning. The guacamole that came with the quesadilla was pretty good, but I do think the birria sauce could be more flavorful. It was a little bit bland. Service: we sat at the bar and our bartender was really attentive and made sure that we had everything we need for our meal. Ambiance: it's a pretty casual vibe with a wide range of audience coming in to either watch the game or just getting a quick bite. It's rather spacious having two sides of the bar and a full selection of dining and patio seating. Location accommodation: there is parking on the side throughout the street.

    Steak tip salad
    Sharrun N.

I would give 3.5 if I could. Service was great. I tried my daughter's pesto filled gnocchi and it was divine. My husband enjoyed his generous serving of fish and chips. My steak tip salad was a disappointment. The tips were cooked just as asked, but were very bland. I like that they leave a carafe of water on the table. The other diners with me enjoyed their selection of adult beverages. I like that the use Toast for settling the bill so my credit card isn't taken away from me.

    Korean fried cauliflower

As a bar this place is good. However, the food was great. I ordered "Korean fried cauliflower." The cocktails were fine. The server was nice and friendly. The place was crowded, I would recommend making a reservation before you go there if you are planning to go to a party of six people.

A majority of the drinks were more on the savory side which was very interesting like "may all your bacon burn" with bacon bites at the top of the drink. The drinks my friend had were all stunning with the use of egg yolk to elevate the drink. We ended the evening by walking over to Bow Market and trying Viet Citron which was so DANG GOOD my gosh. The to go orders were insane but looks like they are doing very well despite recently opening in. I got the grilled lemongrass pork ribs bowl and youtiao and the side sauce was so good. Nice quality tables and chairs as well as decorations creates an inviting environment. The warmth of the staff also makes it inviting. Food Type: What you would expect like Street food, classics. noodles and curries and a few regional specialties. Prices: Reasonable for food of this quality. We spent $90 pre-tip for three including an appetizer and a few beers (for me only). Food Quality: Very Good. We had three dishes and an appetizer and shared everything. Singha and Leo beer available as expected washed it down. I have been to Thailand on business trips and vacation and by no means have a palette capable of detecting nuances in regional dishes (I can a bit for Korean and Japanese due to extended time spent there), but could taste it was a bit playing to the American tastes. Still really good. Service: Friendly and generally fast. Minus (-) The meals came out separately. Meal one came with the appetizer. Then 7-10 minutes the second meal. Then 7-10 minutes the third meal. If eating American style ie everyone eats only their own meal, this would be a real problem. As my wife is Korean we usually eat family style (we often share meals at American restaurants, why not, you get to try more dishes), so this was not an issue really. The pluses outweigh negative it is still 4.5 rounder to 5. Absolutely worth a try. Enjoy!

My family and I walked in aroud 5:15 on a Sunday night and walked in for dinner service at the bar. Although we didn't get drinks, we did feast on several items. We started with the beautifully presented Golden beet salad, which was bursting with flavor from the Thai chili jam dressing, followed by the Grilled Caulilini. Similar to broccolini but from the cauliflower family, it was grilled and served with tomato-tomatillo relish, fish sauce, and finely grated Parmesan. We took the bartender's advice and ordered the signature Hot Dog, made with spicy krapow sausage and served in a toasted bun with salted egg yolk mayo and caramelized basil. Come here for a social event? Perhaps? Expecting reasonable service is unlikely to be realized. The…read moreservice was poor and the minimal food I had access to was fair at best. I attended an event being held at this restaurant and was surprised and disappointed in the restaurant. The networking event itself is not being reviewed here. So where to start... accessing the restaurant was a bit of a nightmare. The garage (parking is $4-24) was the only place to park and the elevators were out of order and the garage was dimly lit. It was frankly not safe. The driveways were partially blocked for construction which I had to navigate around as a pedestrian. This is not realistically accessible for those who have mobility limitations (the temporary attempts at ramps are not usable with a wheelchair). I was given beverage menus after arrival. They were extremely hard to read as the lighting was turned down. I did manage to read it when I put the menu directly under a pendant. The beer and wine selections looked interesting! I was looking for something non-alcoholic and there was no water readily available nor offered. There were a few (maybe 4) mocktails on the menu-they looked interesting so I got one that resembled a mule (ginger beer based). I ordered one so I wouldn't be empty handed as I talked with people, especially at a networking event. The server gave it to me and made a point of saying "here is your mocktail" (which itself is not unreasonable; referring it by its name or "beverage" is much more appropriate in those circumstances as the drink type and alcohol content or lack thereof is not anyone else's business). The food menu never appeared. The appetizers that were left out for the group were picked over and unappetizing. Cold fried calamari that has been sitting out? No thanks. A cheese and cracker board with no crackers and no serving implements? No thanks. There were two flatbreads there-I had a small square of each and these were ok. About 15 minutes before the event was scheduled to end the server asked me if I wanted another mocktail. I responded with an affirmative. I assumed he had canceled the order as the event ended. As I was getting ready to leave when the event ended (I had my jacket on at that point and he had validated my parking!), he brings over the mocktail and says "here is your mocktail" and sets it on the high top table where it just sat as I left for home. I have no idea if he charged the hosts for the beverage. I left hungry. I left a bit thirsty. I left surprisingly frustrated at the restaurant. When I arrived home, I made myself dinner. Fortunately, I enjoyed meeting new people as the event itself was interesting.
