10/10 best chicken parm sandwich you will ever have. I recommend if you are in theBoston area to check it out

For a while now, I had been meaning to visit source. So when I was looking for a place for date night and we were in Cambridge, I decided to stop by. I did not have a reservation, but I was please to have been accommodated in the bar. Even though it was the first couple of sits by the entrance and it was cold and every time someone walked in or out, we'd get chilly. To start, we tried the arancini and the Brussels sprouts. The arancini had a strong, pungent, cheese in the middle and it was not as crispy as I was expecting. It was good, just not my favorite. On the other hand, the Brussels sprouts were amazing. I highly recommend the Brussels sprouts. For the mains, we had bolognese pasta with beef and pork and a pepperoni pizza with some modifications. The pasta was cooked al dente, how I like it, and the meat and tomato sauce had amazing flavors. I thought it was a delicious dish, albeit it was a bit salty. For the pepperoni pizza, we added mushrooms and jalapeños as a modification. The dough felt a little undercooked, and the pizza was a little soggy perhaps from the jalapeño juice. It was an ok pizza but I was expecting great from a $30 pizza. The espresso martini was great. I think maybe I have to come back again and try different things. Overall we got two hits and two misses + a great drink. read more

When we arrived, we immediately smelled fresh pizza. When we ordered, I got a pepperoni pizza from the "build your own menu". However, I was served the pepperoni pizza from the main menu, with some toppings I didn't want, hence ordering from the custom menu. When we sent it back, our waitress was very nice about it, but it took longer than usual to get new one than at most restaurants. When we started eating, I found the pizza to be greasier than I desired, but it was still good pizza. The others in my party also found their dishes to be delicious. Overall, I would lean slightly away from this restaurant based on my experience, however, the food is certainly worthy of a visit. read more

I walked in and. I was seated pretty quickly and the waitress took my order in a timely manner. I ordered the chicken Parmesan sandwich and the portion size was great and the sandwich was very good and the bread was very soft and fresh and the same goes for salad side as well. The ambience is upscale with a casual vibe it's great place to go after walking around the area. read more

Came back after 4 years with positive memories of it prior. Service has gone way downhill. Our waitress hardly checked in yesterday, and my one year old spilled my entire drink. Rather than replacing it she charged us for two but by the end since we had already waited for her to bring us our check ( she forgot, I had to go find her to get the check) I didn't even fight it. Probably wouldn't come back after that experience. New York style pizza was good, we did a build our own of that, better than the margarita. Bucatini without meat was pretty good and the rolls appetizer and kale/quinoa salad was decent ( a little dry) Yesterday was a 3.5- averaged it with my previous review to reach a 4. read more

Tried Source Pizza after hearing a lot of buzz on the radio about being one of the top pizza places in Greater Boston area, and it lived up to expectations. Do keep in mind though that their pizzas are the kind you eat with a knife and fork and will fall apart if you try to hold it with your hand. We went with the seasonal pizza and added prosciutto, plus the seasonal salad. The pizza was really tasty with great flavor throughout and the prosciutto brought all the flavors together. The seasonal salad had a refreshing yuzu vinaigrette that was light and flavorful, though the portion was on the smaller side. Great ambiance for brunch - quiet and had a very clean atmosphere. Parking in Harvard Square also might be easier in the morning versus afternoon and evening. Service was good but they seemed to not come by very often despite the place not being too busy. I had to flag them down for water. Overall, enjoyed my experience and would go back. read more

This spot was absolutely adorable. The staff was super personable and I loved every moment there. We just went for drinks, but I'll have to go back at some point for dinner---everything looked and smelled amazing! The cocktail I had was really good and I've had a lot of cocktails! The combo of the vodka, lemoncello, blackberry and lemon was smooth and memorable. It was also presented in a stunning fashion. What a great experience! read more

I'm here to highlight the brunch menu, the bubblies, and good vibes on a Sunday morning at the Source Restaurant! This place is a fantastic spot to share a meal. I came here with two girlfriends and we instantly felt relaxed. The brunch menu offers a little of everything for everyone from shareable plates, to pizza, to pasta, and to the morning fixings. I'm happy to say that we ordered more than enough for the table and happy to bring home a bag of leftovers. The Margherita pizza was airy and delicious. Send Nooods was cooked perfectly and so creamy with every bite. The brussel sprouts was a table favorite as it was sweet and a little spicy. And the Coming to merica plate had every food group. The restaurant is classy and yet down to earth. The staff are very friendly and very attentive. We were able to make a reservation online with no problems. And there is plenty of street parking close by. read more

a friend and i decided to come here on a sunday evening, and the ambiance was so comfortable. the staff seemed a little all over the place. our food was good, i loved the whipped ricotta with really unique, delicious toppings, however it was kind of burnt on the outside and the center was still doughy. the chopped salad was good, we ordered a neopolitan pizza with red onion, garlic and sausage which was yummy, but i wish they had ground sausage rather than links. the tagliatelle was pretty good as well. whipped ricotta 4/5 chopped salad 4/5 neopolitan pizza 4/5 tagliatelle 4/5 our meal was better than average, yet as friendly as the service was, i wished they were more attentive. overall, i'd try source restaurant again when in harvard square. ambiance: 5/5 food: 4/5 drinks: n/a service: 3/5 source: 4/5 read more

The seasonal pizza was delicious, we added prosciutto. The clam chowder pizza was unique. Would not have guessed this could be done on a pizza. The whipped ricotta garlic knot appetizer was delicious. The tagliatelle pasta was cooked al dente and was flavorful. The first version of the dish unfortunately had a hair in it so the server quickly replaced it with a new plate. This restaurant seems like a really solid choice for a group dinner. read more

Source was good! We ate off of the dine out Boston menu, but their regular menu was much better. Our waitress was wonderful- she gave so many tips and suggestions and was so kind and friendly. The best thing we ate was the whipped ricotta. It was so tasty and the portion size was pretty big. It was such a standout! The source chopped salad was also really good with just the perfect amount of dressing. The hummus was pretty good, nothing too out of the ordinary. I had the cod almondine, which I believe is exclusive to the dine out menu. The fish was cooked perfectly, though I wish there was a little more seasoning or sauce. Everything the fish came with was really good. The pizza crust was delicious too. The vanilla trifle for dessert was one of the highlights, with such a great balance of layers with cake and mousse and whipped cream. Overall the restaurant is really nice, I also got to have their brunch which was honestly better than the dinner! read more

We were seated quickly around 12:30 on a Saturday for some lunch! We started with the Bees in Paradise and Espresso Martini which was delicious. We all shared the Margherita pizza, Po-Tay-Toes, Toast Me Gently, Baba and a Half Chopped salad. It was a great lunch, great prices and really enjoyed the decor and ambiance inside. Great service who took the allergies at our table seriously. read more

I was here at lunchtime for a holiday work celebration. The place was comfortably busy, and our service was excellent. The cocktails were trendy and tasty. The beet salad was fresh and yummy. Seating was comfortable, lighting was bright and cheery, our large group was accomodated well. But the thing is this: It's a full two months later and I'm still thinking about that cauliflower soup! There is cooking, there is good cooking, and then there's food artistry. That soup was a work of art! I would go back just for that. Five stars for paying attention to the details, for the artistry of putting together just the right balance of flavor, texture, and visual presentation. This is way more than "a good pizza place." read more

3.8/5 Decent food and drinks, not so decent prices. Came here on a Monday for their $26 three course dinner deal. You get an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert for $26. I chose arancini for the appetizers: they were small and had an uninteresting filling. My friend got the whipped ricotta with bread: creamy and delicious but the bread was stale. Then for my entree, I chose the eggplant triple stack. This was standout. It was more of a sandwhich stacked with crispy eggplant, prosciutto, and a creamy basil sauce with an arugula salad on the side, although the salad dressing was lacking in flavor. The dessert was an alright tiramisu with a pointless and soggy pirouette included. They give you wine paring suggestions which is nice! All in all the food and service were great, but they add a 4% kitchen fee. That on top of tip and the drink you inevitably order makes the price not that great a deal. Next time I go, I want to try the pizza which looked quite good. Service: 5/5 Food: 4/5 Ambience: 4/5 Deal: 2/5 read more

The food here is good! A bit on the pricier side but you get quite a bit of food. The pizza was a bit too greasy for my taste, but I truly enjoyed everything else. Service was quick, nice, and efficient. Pretty friendly. Ambiance is low lighting, close/shared tables, and pretty sleek but humble. I liked that the plates were all different from each other. read more

This place was as amazing as expected! Staff were very helpful and friendly, food was absolutely incredible, and vibes were just immaculate! First off, the Brussels were amazing! They were on the sweeter side, which is how I love my Brussels, but I know that might not be for everyone. The pizza was the highlight of the meal. It was a big enough size that my spouse and I shared it, but it definitively would've been a bit much for 1 person to eat, unless you really love pizza! I LOVE Source! The pizzas are all delicious, and you absolutely have to try the brussels sprouts (it tastes like they're cooked in hot honey). The bucatini I tried wasn't amazing but I think the apps and pizza are so worth it. Service is super friendly, decent speed too. And love the vibes of the place. Went for the restaurant week deal and honestly thought it was pretty mid. The app was the only part that I thought was decent. Its been a few weeks since I was there so I don't remember exactly what kind of fish each was but I remember the flavors/experience App was a seared tuna in a bun with a mango slaw. It was really tasty and made me excited to see what was to come. The fish entree was pretty flavorless and dry . The cheese cake desert with the mango popping boba was so sour and otherwise flavorless. Overall unimpressed. read more

I had a fantastic late lunch at Source in Harvard Square this past Sunday. From the start, the service stood out--our server was incredibly friendly and took the time to walk us through the different pizza styles, which was especially helpful as first-time visitors. We ordered the Neapolitan pizza with extra cheese, and it was everything you'd want--bubbly, hot, and absolutely delicious. The crust had that perfect balance of chew and crisp, and the extra cheese made it even more indulgent. The Chopped Salad was another highlight. The crispy chickpeas and oregano dressing added great texture and flavor, and I really appreciated that they were able to make it without bacon to accommodate my pescatarian diet. Making a reservation was easy, and the overall experience was smooth and enjoyable. I'm already looking forward to coming back to try more from the menu! The brunch menu is EXPANSIVE and I think I may have to branch out to building a Belgian waffle next time! (Who would have thought you could have so many options at a pizza place!?) read more

Anyplace I see influencers rave about, I instantly think its all a lie and paid for. Happy to say that Source was NOT that and was pretty good. Came here on Saturday an hour before closing and the vibe was perfect. Quiet and intimate, you could actually have a conversation. Our bartender Luke was also really cool so shout out to him. I had the Royal-Ade which was a mock tail, super delicious and not too lavender-y. The carbonara was fantastic! For a city that's suppose to have incredible Italian food, I've had too many mediocre carbonara's to the point where I get scared to order them thinking it'll be effed up. But Source knocked the carbonara out of the park. Bucatini is the best noodle for carbonara, the guanciale was perfectly salty & crispy, sauce was very tasty, and the poached egg with runny yolk was the cherry on top! Loved this dish so much. The arancini was fine but had a weird tangy taste and ended with a fantastic strawberry cheesecake. read more

Came here for dinner one night and ordered the classic pepperoni pizza and carbonara for two. We sat outside and so it was a bit chillier but it was nice that they provided blankets on the seats if we needed them. Our seats though, were on the road basically! So sometimes cars would get a bit close while passing by. I've been seeing this restaurant on my Instagram reel feed a lot and so I decided to give it a try. However, I think the food is more photogenic if anything! There was SOO much oil on the pepperoni pizza that each pepperoni cup was filled with oil. As for the carbonara, it was pretty average but just VERY salty. Although the food and restaurant seems pretty good from afar; I personally wouldn't come back if you prioritize taste! Visiting the Boston area, we were walking around Harvard Square and noticed Source Restaurant with a cute patio. It wasn't very busy, but the hostess did ask if we had reservations. Our response was no and she said "No problem." Then we asked for the patio and we were seated promptly. Server did take a few minutes but once he came out, water was served. We ordered the veggie pizza and two different salads. Plus a lavender lemonade with blueberries. It was a delicious lunch meal. Also noted restrooms for guests only or charge for non guests. take my bf here every year for his birthday for brunch. We love the pepperoni pizza, and always hits the spot. It has perfectly crispy little pepperoni cups and flavorful sauce. I love wood fired pizza. But, sometimes the pizza is too soggy in the middle and too burnt on the crust. Also, it could be too oily or saucy for some people, but I don't mind. We always come by when we're craving this pizza. Everything else on the brunch menu is hit or miss. I liked the French toast with fresh berries. The bucatini carbonara is good at first, but has a slight bitter taste and gets tiring to eat. We got the fried chicken and waffles, it was inedible. The fry and batter was disgusting. Something definitely went wrong, maybe the fry temp was too low. The chicken itself had no flavor, salt, or spice. Its a cute small place. love sitting near the window. The perfect time to come here is October, so you can look out the massive window to the graveyard and the beautiful fall foliage. read more
