The pizza tastes like it was sitting out for a little even though they heated it up. Overall okay pizza at this location. There was a lot of seating and the service is quick.

Friendly staff and fast service. The pizza is yummy and the slices are large! Tons of selections even multiple non meat options. Seating is small but there are outdoor standing tables.

I wanted to try this place when I visited New york but did not get a chance. I am so glad I was able to try this place in Boston. Loved the pizzas here. They so fresh and crispy. The service was quick. My favorite slice was the fresh mozzarella.

This is very casual eatery in Cambridge MA. next door to the Harvard Coop Shop. It small and crowded with an ordering counter situated over the pizzas by the slice. The menu is limited, but that's ok. After selecting the kind of slice I wanted, a counter guy plopped it on a paper plate and shoved in into a pizza oven. Less than 5 minutes later he called out my slice to be picked up nice and hot. I liked the crispy, thin crust and the toppings were just enough. My sisters had Sicilian and Supreme. They both liked their choices but would have preferred thicker crust. It was a fast, hot lunch.

We'd been in NYC earlier in the week and saw the crazy-long line at Joe's Pizza there, so we skipped it. I was happily surprised to see this Joe's location in Cambridge across the street from Harvard, and best part, no line! You order by the slice at the counter. They've got several flavors on display and warm them up when you order. Two slices per person is plenty to share. Seating is limited, mostly counter space , so grab a spot quickly if you can. The pizza itself was good! We tried a couple of different slices, and they hit the spot. That said, just a heads-up, the area gets a lot of foot traffic in Harvard Square, so keep an eye on your bags. There was an older lady inside who seemed to be a regular (the staff knew her) but made us really uncomfortable. Towards the end of our meal, she was hovering, saying odd things, asking inappropriate and personal questions, and kind of gave off scammer vibes. We ended up rushing out because of it. Overall, solid pizza and convenient location, but the vibe inside wasn't great.

What an awful slice of pizza. As a New Yorker this is an insult to Joe's. Who would pay $12 for this garbage?

After exploring the surrounding area we decided to stop here for a quick lunch break and I'm so glad we did. We ordered a few different slices but my favorite was actually the Greek style pizza which comes with mushrooms, feta, and onion. Not my usual go to slice but was feeling adventurous and it was really good. The other two slices we got were pepperoni and a white cheese pizza. Both very solid. We were in nyc earlier in the week and wanted to try a Joe's location there but didn't work out. So I'm glad I was able to try it and know that they hold true to their delicious pizza reputation.

Something about coming to Joe's Pizza on a snowy, 10 degree night just makes it taste better. I tried the sausage pizza and asked for it well done. The crust was extremely crispy, but the inside was still a bit doughy, and the toppings were really delicious. It felt comforting, especially given the freezing weather outside.

Really good slice place in Harvard Square. Crowded but line moves quickly, and pizza comes out fast. Basic choices, but both the plain and pepp were tasty, and reasonable priced (to the extent anything is nowadays).

Finally got to try Joe's Pizza for the first time since I never had the opportunity to in NY. We ordered a full pie ($33): half Caprese, half Veggie. It was busy, but the line moves fast. You order at the register, then wait for your name to be called. I love that it's busy because it means the pizza is fresh and hasn't been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. The slices are huge and floppy, typical of NY slices, with that classic thin, crispy crust that somehow holds up under the cheese, sauce, and toppings, but still folds easily. The sauce is tangy, with a touch of natural tomato sweetness that really shines. I personally preferred the Caprese slice--simple, fresh, and flavorful. The Veggie one was okay, but it reminded me of a thinner, slightly sweeter version of a Costco combo slice. Next time, I'm definitely coming back to try a slice of their White or the Plain Cheese, which I've heard is a classic.

Simple, no frills pizza place. Possibly the best crust I've ever eaten on a NY slice; perfectly crunchy and delicious. Quick service. Reasonably priced.

I'm typically not a huge pizza person, but Joe's Pizza really hit the spot! It's always packed whenever I walk by, and it's easy to see why. They serve fantastic NY-style pizza at an affordable price. This place is especially popular with nearby Harvard students. The interior is cozy, with limited bar stool seating and walls adorned with photos of famous people who've eaten there. We tried the Margherita pizza and the cheese pizza with onions and mushrooms, and both were absolutely delicious! The pizza came out piping hot, and they were very generous with the toppings. The flavors were fresh, and the crust was perfectly crispy which is just what you want from a great slice of pizza!

Food: food pizza. The crust was reaaaaaal thin and crispy. It's a solid no-frills slice of 'zza. Is it the same as Joe's in NYC? Debatable, as they probably don't have that New York WORTAH (water), but it's still a good slice. Service: you order, pay, get your slice when it's done heating. Perfectly fine service. Ambience: we vibin'. Feels exactly like what a slice pizza joint should feel like. Some seating, a drink fridge, and nice window side seats to people watch. Parking: good luck, you're in Harvard Square.

Our waitress was knowledgeable and gave good food and wine recommendations from the menu. Our party really enjoyed the octopus as it was a tender bite with freshness coming from the peas/mint/cilantro. We also enjoyed the juicy meatballs with tomato sauce and again a hint of freshness and nuttiness coming from the pine nut pesto. We were not crazy about the striped bass crudo. It just seemed to fall flat flavor wise for me maybe not enough salt or acid to really counter balance the other fresh clean flavors in the dish. That being said it was not bad just underwhelming. The pizzas were great value price wise and the flavor combinations were unique but also worked well with one another. I liked how they didn't shy away from using spicy peppers on the Nduja pizza. The Fennel Sausage pizza had that fattiness from the sausage mixed with acidity from the cherry peppers and some creaminess/extra layer of flavor with the green garlic cream sauce. I somewhat wish the pizza bottom was baked slightly longer for a less floppy center but that's just personal preference. They clearly put a lot of effort into this pizza recipe. The only critique we would have is the service seemed a bit rushed. We would have enjoyed a bit more time between appetizers and the mains. Even the check came pretty shortly after we finished which would be understandable on a busy weekend night but this was a Tuesday evening and there seemed to be plenty of empty tables around us. Other than that would recommend for an elevated night out!

I got the after school snack cocktail which was very refreshing and paired nicely with the meal. We split the Bucatini Verde and it was so delicious. We saw a dish online we wanted, but the server explained they use that pasta for different dishes and change out the sauce, so I'm glad I got to try it. We then split the Pepperoni + Vodka Sauce pizza which was good. I'll be honest I was a tad disappointed in the pizza. It was flavorful but I think I was expecting the same feeling I got when I had the pasta. It was good, but just that, good. Crust was a little burnt. I did love the vibes and pasta and it's definitely known in Cambridge for a good reason. I'd recommend a reservation if you'd like a table as it does fill up fast.

She said it was fine as long as we didn't order drinks, then seated us at the bar. We were only given drink menus. When the bartender came over to take our order, I had to ask for a food menu myself. Our seating was also uncomfortable. We were placed right next to the bar/server station.
