I wanted to try this place when I visited New york but did not get a chance. I am so glad I was able to try this place in Boston. Loved the pizzas here. They so fresh and crispy. The service was quick. My favorite slice was the fresh mozzarella.

This is very casual eatery in Cambridge MA. next door to the Harvard Coop Shop. It small and crowded with an ordering counter situated over the pizzas by the slice. The menu is limited, but that's ok. After selecting the kind of slice I wanted, a counter guy plopped it on a paper plate and shoved in into a pizza oven. Less than 5 minutes later he called out my slice to be picked up nice and hot. I liked the crispy, thin crust and the toppings were just enough. My sisters had Sicilian and Supreme. They both liked their choices but would have preferred thicker crust. It was a fast, hot lunch.

We'd been in NYC earlier in the week and saw the crazy-long line at Joe's Pizza there, so we skipped it. I was happily surprised to see this Joe's location in Cambridge across the street from Harvard, and best part, no line! You order by the slice at the counter. They've got several flavors on display and warm them up when you order. Two slices per person is plenty to share. Seating is limited, mostly counter space , so grab a spot quickly if you can. The pizza itself was good! We tried a couple of different slices, and they hit the spot. That said, just a heads-up, the area gets a lot of foot traffic in Harvard Square, so keep an eye on your bags. There was an older lady inside who seemed to be a regular (the staff knew her) but made us really uncomfortable. Towards the end of our meal, she was hovering, saying odd things, asking inappropriate and personal questions, and kind of gave off scammer vibes. We ended up rushing out because of it. Overall, solid pizza and convenient location, but the vibe inside wasn't great.

After exploring the surrounding area we decided to stop here for a quick lunch break and I'm so glad we did. We ordered a few different slices but my favorite was actually the Greek style pizza which comes with mushrooms, feta, and onion. Not my usual go to slice but was feeling adventurous and it was really good. The other two slices we got were pepperoni and a white cheese pizza. Both very solid. We were in nyc earlier in the week and wanted to try a Joe's location there but didn't work out. So I'm glad I was able to try it and know that they hold true to their delicious pizza reputation.

Something about coming to Joe's Pizza on a snowy, 10 degree night just makes it taste better. I tried the sausage pizza and asked for it well done. The crust was extremely crispy, but the inside was still a bit doughy, and the toppings were really delicious. It felt comforting, especially given the freezing weather outside.

Really good slice place in Harvard Square. Crowded but line moves quickly, and pizza comes out fast. Basic choices, but both the plain and pepp were tasty, and reasonable priced (to the extent anything is nowadays).

Finally got to try Joe's Pizza for the first time since I never had the opportunity to in NY. We ordered a full pie ($33): half Caprese, half Veggie. It was busy, but the line moves fast. You order at the register, then wait for your name to be called. I love that it's busy because it means the pizza is fresh and hasn't been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. The slices are huge and floppy, typical of NY slices, with that classic thin, crispy crust that somehow holds up under the cheese, sauce, and toppings, but still folds easily. The sauce is tangy, with a touch of natural tomato sweetness that really shines. I personally preferred the Caprese slice--simple, fresh, and flavorful. The Veggie one was okay, but it reminded me of a thinner, slightly sweeter version of a Costco combo slice. Next time, I'm definitely coming back to try a slice of their White or the Plain Cheese, which I've heard is a classic.

Simple, no frills pizza place. Possibly the best crust I've ever eaten on a NY slice; perfectly crunchy and delicious. Quick service. Reasonably priced.

I'm typically not a huge pizza person, but Joe's Pizza really hit the spot! It's always packed whenever I walk by, and it's easy to see why. They serve fantastic NY-style pizza at an affordable price. This place is especially popular with nearby Harvard students. The interior is cozy, with limited bar stool seating and walls adorned with photos of famous people who've eaten there. We tried the Margherita pizza and the cheese pizza with onions and mushrooms, and both were absolutely delicious! The pizza came out piping hot, and they were very generous with the toppings. The flavors were fresh, and the crust was perfectly crispy which is just what you want from a great slice of pizza!

Great New York pizza just steps from Harvard! Had a slice of a Caprese, a Pepperoni, and a Supreme. Each was delicious with that special New York style crust and real fresh tomato sauce. Service was friendly and efficient. Honestly ended up being the best lunch we had on our trip to Boston as well as the cheapest. Win, Win!

Food: food pizza. The crust was reaaaaaal thin and crispy. It's a solid no-frills slice of 'zza. Is it the same as Joe's in NYC? Debatable, as they probably don't have that New York WORTAH (water), but it's still a good slice. Service: you order, pay, get your slice when it's done heating. Perfectly fine service. Ambience: we vibin'. Feels exactly like what a slice pizza joint should feel like. Some seating, a drink fridge, and nice window side seats to people watch. Parking: good luck, you're in Harvard Square.

Quick affordable New York Style pizza right in the center of Harvard Square. Service is quick. It's a small place but there are a decent amount of bar stools around.

I held this year's birthday dinner here. I had a good impression of Coda Restaurant Group before,…read moreand this place did not disappoint. Prosciutto: The best dish of the meal. The prosciutto slices were perfectly salty, rich in fat, and smooth, wrapped around the refreshing sweetness of kumquats, the delicate creaminess of stracciatella cheese, the crunch and nutty aroma of pistachios, and topped with a smoky touch of sumac powder. It had a rich and distinct flavor profile while offering a gentle and comfortable taste. Spaghetti: The refreshing lemon and basil paired with the umami crab meat is a classic combination. Chili oil added a touch of spice and aroma, while pea tendrils provided a light herbal fragrance. The sauce was emulsified very smoothly, making it both rich and palatable, although the spaghetti itself didn't leave a particularly strong impression. Half Chicken Milanese: A large portion, perfect as a main course to share. The chicken cutlet was thick, fried to a fragrant perfection, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Wrapped in lettuce and eaten with mayonnaise, it brought back memories of the fast food stalls outside my school when I was a child. This was my first time trying rhubarb stems. The tangy and refreshing taste cut through the richness, and the texture was like softer celery and firmer green bell peppers - quite interesting. Duck Bacon Pizza: The most highly rated pizza online, and it was truly delicious! The rich, savory flavor of the duck bacon, the succulent richness of the shimeji mushrooms, and the mellow sweetness of the caramelized onions, combined with the creamy cheese base, made it a calorie bomb, but I still felt it was the right choice. Unfortunately, the crust was a bit hard, making it difficult to cut with a knife. Cotechino Pizza: This was my first time trying a pizza with sweet potatoes, and I couldn't help but admire their innovation. The colors were vibrant, and the sweetness of the sweet potatoes paired with the smoky aroma of Cotechino sausage bits created a full yet harmonious flavor, evoking the feeling of being in the southern Italian countryside in early autumn, basking in the bright sunshine and the satisfaction of a bountiful harvest. The restaurant offered menus printed with "Happy Birthday," and the waiters provided professional cake-cutting service. Overall, a very comfortable experience.

Stopped in based on the overwhelmingly positive reviews on Yelp. Showed up around 7pm on a Sunday…read moreand it was near capacity but we were able to be seated right away. The dining room is fairly small with some bar seating available as well. It was clean and bright. It took about 7 mins for the server to come over and she lead with "are you ready to order?" I guess simple pleasantries are useless anyway. We knew our drinks and appetizers order but not what we wanted for pizza yet so we ordered those and told her we'd order pizzas when the apps and drinks came. She came back about 3 minutes later and asked if we were ready to order yet. Feeling pressured, we ordered thinking that perhaps they close soon (not the case). The bartender delivered our drinks a few minutes later and about 5 mins after that both the appetizers and pizza arrived at the same time. Besides the fact that our table wasn't large enough to accommodate all that food and drink, it was never our intention to eat our appetizers with our meal. The good news is that the food was hot, fresh and tasty. The potato bombs were excellent. Crispy home fry like potatoes and the peppers had a nice heat. I would love to try the popper version next time. The pizzas were good too, but be prepared for floppy and slightly under done base crust but a perfectly charred edge crust. I find many wood fired pizza to come this way but I did see other reviews mention this as a negative. The bill comes in a small ball jar with a delicious rice crispy treat. While the jar worked it must have made it hard to see that I dropped my credit card in it, so after the waitress walked by a few times I removed the card and made it visible on the table. When the tab came to sign I was not given a pen. I should have walked out and just let them charge me for just the tab but I cannot stiff waitstaff, even when it's poor service. My only hope is that it was the waitress's first day and she somehow figures out the typical cadence and procedure involved in waiting tables. Food was a solid 4 but service was a 2 so I landed on a 3. I would definitely go back hoping for a better server.
